162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can a non-coder do to help devcoin development move forward? on: May 23, 2013, 05:41:28 AM
There is no pretty devcoin.org page, its difficult to get a wallet running, there are no android apps, etc...  (from a non-coder/techie perspecitve).  Development of such things would likely inspire confidence and increase the user base.  I would be willing to donate funds toward such things, but of course trust is a the big issue here.  What can someone who likes the idea of devcoin do to help it grow?

Personally I'm considering opening a sushi bar in San Jose that accepts devcoin.

You can see the target in debug log.

The topic will be reopened once we have a genesis block.

POST AN ETA rather than random release!
Do you understand it is impossible for me to give an ETA? It's like mining, I don't know when we'll hit the genesis block.

Can you set a time.

Say, Noon GMT?

how to put it in executable?
I create an empty text file & put code in it & give what extension?
How to make it executable & run auto?
Hi Dishwara,
One of your shareholders here.

Extension doesn't matter. I usually use ".sh".

To make it executable you need to run: chmod +x

Not sure about auto run.

Twitter user @smarimc claims to have found a protocol level bug that allows the Bitcoin network to be used for a DDoS attack.

Comments and suggestions for improvements welcome.

Nice work. The only suggestion I have is to indicate somehow whether the price is higher or lower than the previous close.

Greed is never easy.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC Approaching Current Price of Silver on: June 10, 2011, 05:35:55 AM
Now it's dipping nicely.

In the end, price doesn't matter as much as how Bitcoins will be used and for what.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gentlemen, tell me what you want to see in a BTC exchange. [Bitcoin Reward] on: June 09, 2011, 01:14:34 AM
I would love to be able to code Robots and Indicators like in MetaTrader. Set stops and limits within the chart. Be able to setup alerts.

And of course trade on Margin.

In a way, anyone that participates in Bitcoin is a guarantor, voluntarily.

Isn't that clear enough?

This is exactly what I've been looking for, for a while now.

I'm going to try depositing later this evening and see how it goes.

Well I voted Nov-Dec even though I did not expect it to jump from $20 to $30 so fast.
