161  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 19, 2013, 10:03:24 AM
Lastly, I would expect most newcomers to be curious, ask questions, perhaps in this case voice some concern if they havent yet received their order. I wouldn't expect them to form a small army of verbally aggressive cheer leaders shouting down anyone casting credible doubts on things like specs, delivery dates, and in general, credibility of this company.

It may or may not be true, but a good friend of mine told me that AMT offered people (or at least them) a 5-10% discount to defend them here on the forums. It could be in this mess of a thread somewhere, but to be honest, I didn't read it entirely. That could definitely explain the army of irate cheerleaders.

That aside, tomorrow marks one week since my device supposedly should have shipped. Still not a word from anyone at AMT. No "sorry, there's been a delay", no "we can't email everyone, so we're writing here to say there's a delay", no "fuck you, go away." Nothing. I mean, at this point I'd rather them flat out say "yes, we took your money" and mean it than them staying quiet.

I'll keep waiting until I hear something. I was hoping my order would have come on time so I could have ordered a bunch more of whatever they had available, but until I get some kind of response from someone over in AMT land, I'm holding on to them.

My question is this. amt and a reliable company. after all the things posted here I do not know what to think. Undecided

i hope so. there has been one person on these boards who has mad the claim of receiving a miner. I myself am waiting for a miner from them.

I was supposed to have a miner shipped three weeks after my order. It was a small order I placed as a test to see how smooth the ordering process with AMT was. It has now been four weeks. No response to emails or phone calls since that point. Still waiting for word of shipment, or even word of actual delivery. Nothing yet. I'd like to remain hopeful, but it's getting harder by the day.

4 weeks is a VERY rosy expectation man. honestly, and i guess this is easy for me to say because it's not my miner, id start being concerned 2 weeks after expected delivery. i have heard AMT say they were running 1-2 weeks behind. i seriously doubt they can get a miner out in 4 weeks.

If you're expecting delays or can't release a miner within three weeks of the order date, DON'T advertise that you can do so. It's that simple.

makes one wonder why we even have words like "behind" or "late"... in your world that is. your assumption they expected delays is a bad one.

Never said they expected it. That doesn't mean they shouldn't inform people of said delays once they experience it. Through proper channels, mind you. It's not like it's asking much. It takes two minutes to send out a mass email to customers, and another two minutes to edit a line or two of a web page.
163  Economy / Goods / Re: How much BTC might this fully backwards PS3 be worth ? on: December 19, 2013, 12:27:03 AM
That's not too bad then. I'd still set this up as an auction rather than simply asking for offers, though. Start at something low and work up. You'll get what people think it's worth in the end. Worse comes to worse, you can always try it on eBay, though I can see why BTC may be more tempting.
164  Economy / Goods / Re: How much BTC might this fully backwards PS3 be worth ? on: December 18, 2013, 10:49:40 PM
I have an original early model of the PS3 that is fully backwards compatible with PS1 & PS2 games. Even though yes the PS4 did just come out. I do know for a fact that my PS3 still has great value. So I am curious what it might be worth to some of you if I were to sell it for BTC.

Full S/NM: CM094077247-CECHE01 MG

Also not too sure on how a deal like this would work if I did sell it for BTC since trust has to go both ways and start with someone.

To answer your last concern, that's what escrow is for.

As for the cost of something like this, since it's used and not exactly in the best condition, you can't expect much. You also need to answer some important questions:

1.) Has the device ever had custom firmware installed on it?
2.) Has it been banned from connecting to the PSN?
3.) PAL., NTSC-NA, NTSC-JP?
4.) Physical defects? Scratches, scuff marks, anything of the sorts? Good to know for people looking into it for collection purposes.

Assuming everything's in working order as you stated, asking for $99 would be pushing the limits. The backwards compatibility is nice, but you need to remember that the first generation PS3 devices were notoriously bad when it came to performance, plus had some major heat issues. Some of them even literally melted because they got so hot under normal operation.

That said, you'd be lucky to get $100 for it.

I'd start with BTC0.1 shipped, and let it work up from there. Just my two cents, though.

Bump for price reduction. Not going any lower since opened ones are going for $120.

170  Economy / Goods / [WTS] The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Limited Edition Gold Remote Bundle on: December 18, 2013, 07:35:43 AM
As the title says, I'm looking to get rid of one of two extra copies of the NTSC release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This is the Limited Edition gold remote bundle that was available for preorders only back when the game came out, including the game, a gold wiimote as well as a Limited Edition 25th Anniversary music CD. The item is still in the shipping box that it arrived in, completely untouched, and still in mint condition.

I'm looking for $200 $180 in bitcoins for this. Feel free to make higher / lower offers if you'd like. I'll leave this open for the weekend and will ship out ASAP after an acceptable offer is received. Shipping is free to the US as long as expedited shipping is not required. Requesting payment to be made in full prior to delivery. Will ship worldwide at buyer's expense.
171  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Razer Naga $60.00 in BTC! on: December 18, 2013, 06:48:57 AM
These are brand new at $60 through Amazon and even cheaper on eBay used. I'll give you $40 for it if you include shipping in the price. Three day shipping to GA seals the deal.
172  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3x BFL Little Singles on: December 18, 2013, 06:23:01 AM
1.55 for all of them with shipping.
173  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Mining hardware of last two generations. on: December 18, 2013, 04:39:51 AM
I am not interested in buying overpriced hardware or hardware beyond your cost. If those are your intentions, eBay is likely your best friend.

Just a reminder. >_>
174  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS / WTT] 2X ASIC v2 Blades....Like New...US Only on: December 18, 2013, 04:13:13 AM
You do realize nobody will buy these at this price, right? Your only hope is if someone wants one badly enough as a novelty item. They will never, ever make an ROI at that price. Come just three weeks from now, they won't even make a dime a day.
175  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL and AMD Mining Gear on: December 18, 2013, 12:17:05 AM
I just wanted to clarify a few points.

These units are located on the East Coast USA.  I am selling only because I am close to the power limits of this location and need some headroom.

Also, I am not opposed to international shipments but these will most likely not be a cost effective buy when the shipping is factored in.  I would prefer to ship within the US but we will see.

Lastly, it seems there are a lot of PMs as well so please be patient as I sort through them all.  I cannot spend my workday answering PMs and watching here but I will get back to each of you.

Thanks for your patience.  Next edit will be the pics of the AMD gear.
What's the deadline to get rid of these? I'm interested in both but that decreases everyday...Could you update us on the highest bid etc?

Agreed. If it takes much longer, my bid of 1.5 is definitely going to drop. If it'll take any more than the next week to get them, it likely won't be worth it anymore for me.
176  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL and AMD Mining Gear on: December 18, 2013, 12:00:33 AM
1.5 for a single.

Why?  Literally Why?  To mine, resell on ebay or as a collectors item?

To mine and then resell it on ebay along with my two others just in time to get my AMTs which will tide me over until I get my Black Arrows. Also, to purchase another black arrow with. The extra hash rate can't hurt, and $1000 worth of bitcoins isn't exactly breaking the bank for another 60Ghash of mining power.
