I`m exploring linuxcoin for 1 day linux generally for a bit.
I can upgrade drivers in ubuntu, but cant do that same moves on linuxcoin.
I need to install 12.2 at least.
Donno why the answer is always like: uninstall fglrx, but when i try to do so(sudo dpkg -r fglrx ....) he andwers - there is no fglrx installed. Can any1 tell me where to find sollution??

My frined asked me to set up rig with 4x7970 on linux ubuntu 11.04.
It took me 30 minutes to get it working with cgminer, where most of the time was downloading drivers and updates.
cat 12.2 on 11.04 + cgminer 2.3.1 - working really nice..
if you need somme help, PM me, i`ll provide if i can.

Is it ok to mine on P2 throu GPUMAX ?
I`m doing so. When shares are leased on GPUMAX, i`m off, but GPUMAX lease a lot less than in the past.
After hard 2 first day (stales ~5-7%) now it`s fine - 81259   1374 ( 1.69% )

using gpumax, i must use deepbit for example, and i get more stales (aprox 0.5%)

using P2Pool, i get no fee, less stales = more BTC.

reminder: deepbit pays now aproox 0.0000304sommethink per share. who will buy share for 0.000055 or (oh GOD) for 0.00006??
this prize was ok, when deepbit was paying 0.00004 per share. (it was a time, when i was joining gpumax)ed

You can mine with those settings: 700/575 - mem cannot be less than core-125Mhz. Works for me.

I had the problem witch boozer has.
GPU0 crasches and i get 50/50% of usage by Xorg/cgminer or any other combination with xorg.
only reboot helps.

configuration: 5870 VaporX+2x5970 with acceleroX, Xubuntu 11.04, CAT 12.2(SDK 2.6), cgminer 2.3.1, kernel diablonow i`m testing phatk).
For last lew days, i was using 2.0.6 with cheat(few pages ago), but my hdd was dying, it was matter of time....
All new install. 2.0.6 wont work
2.3.1 crasches my GPO0 :/

EDIT:
phatk and diablo do this same...after prox 20 minutes, crash of xorg.
now i`m trying: -g 1
5870 works on 940/150, where i know i can pull 970 .... max temp 62 *C
system was totally 13minutes uptime, and xorg failed :/

Now i think it`s just broken xorg. I was ipgrading al, and xorg dieded. I`ll end it tomorow - i hope.
