161  Economy / Economics / Re: How to prevent fraud? on: April 29, 2019, 09:41:21 AM
Precisely, people who are lack of knowledge and wisdom about what he/she penetrated will fall on the tricks that made by the swindler. In order to evade from fraud, we have to be observant the field and be wise to every decision we made, because nothing can bet with a skillful and knowledgeable person who are confident on every deliberations.
Knowledge is power they say, you are right that we have to be very verse in knowledge if we don’t want to be swindled or be a tool for the swindler, we need to keep our knowledge about the cryptocurrency up to date, we also need to endeavor to be a reader and a research, through our research, we will be able to know what others have experienced and how they have been able to overcome it, especially in the area of scam.

Initially I was confused about how to avoid falling into the hands of ICO frauds until I started learning from people’s experiences and advise which I have taken some and applied to my decision and have helped me a lot in getting genuine projects.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is heading back to $6k on: April 29, 2019, 07:45:59 AM
I just like to see it stay on this level while waiting for higher opportunity but if it didn't go according to what we are thinking. I'm ready to buy with the lowest price that I can get more bitcoin.
This is the best method I do apply to gain more profit in this market, we all desire the market to always stay on top, but since we have no power to control the market and we don’t know exactly what will prompt people into making investment that will cause a pump, we have to always still look for other opportunities in the market while we await the coin to increase in price.

Opportunities  like trading or keeping extra cash to use also in taking advantage  of the dumped price to buy and then sell when the price dump, bitcoin has dumped in price for some days now, this should be an opportunity to buy, so that when it increase in price, we can sell to make profit.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the large variety of Altcoins hurting the market? on: April 28, 2019, 04:47:32 PM
Rather, such a huge variety of projects in the first place hits the pockets of investors who have invested their money in projects that eventually turned into garbage.

a lot of projects are like that, very unfortunate even though from the beginning it has looked good with its development, but the results are very disappointing. because it ends scam and will not produce anything. that makes investors sometimes lazy with new projects and choosing on assets that have been registered in exchange.
Those assets that you said has been registered in exchanges are honestly too much, what are we doing with over 2000 coins in this small crypto space that is yet to witness large adoption rate, even if we witness large adoption rate. The highest coin we should even have in the cryptocurrency space should not be more than 20 at most for utility tokens.

For exchanges too, I don’t also see the sense in them having to create coins. You are already an exchanger dealing with other coins, do people have to change to your coin to get their money change. Too many projects are really killing the crypto interest as the little capital floating round the market is being diverted into different pockets and not channeled to making some of the few good coins more valuable. If we had just 20 coins, do we know what the value of BTC, ETH and others would have been by now?
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, Token, D-App and legality on: April 28, 2019, 12:38:30 PM
It's a very interesting point of view.. How can a government could regulate an anonymous token or d-app? I'm curious to see what will happens in the next years
Government may not be able to regulate D-app, the only thing they can do is to give free license to those who wish to operate on a blockchain technology, you see, the whole idea of government involvement in projects or our lives is to make money, and the only way they can do that is to impose some laws and policies on people.

This is why the blockchain technology has been a threat to them, but if they manage it well, they can still achieve their goals by just allowing companies to register for a permit to operate on blockchain technology legally and have a fix dues for these companies to be remitting to them.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Germany's First STO - Your thoughts? on: April 28, 2019, 11:28:29 AM
I hope that STO can be better than ICO, it seems I want to try a project that generates funds using STO.
Take time and study the whole thing about STO mate, they already have a fixed amount you can earn on your investment, check it very well before you wish for STO than ICO. The only edge STO has over ICO is just the security they guarantee, but for returns on investment, STO projects are very porous in that, unlike ICO projects that when successful, you might sometimes get over 1500% of the investment, but I think the highest you can even get on STO project will not be more than 20%.

So, I will rather struggle to partake in IEO project than to go waste my valuable time on STO projects that will just tie my money down for a token.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex has been on it's journey to become great again. on: April 28, 2019, 08:33:58 AM
I hope they can become a big exchange again, tbh when i heard poloniex will sold to someone/company (cmiiw) i already leave the exchange. Good luck to them, i believe if they can become great again if there is no problem. I'll try to login my old account again maybe later.
They have the chance to still survive but the trust they need to grow big as other exchanges has already been lost, if we didn’t have competitors that much in the market or people f same interest, then it would have been a great chance now for them to really make name but there is no name that can be made again now.

Already, Binance has taken over, and there is little or no loop hole left in Binance that the exchange can take advantage of to become bigger, but it is still worth trying, they should give their existence before benefit of doubt to manifest and give them the required audience they need.
167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please be careful with traders who.... on: April 28, 2019, 07:26:17 AM
There are still some reasons besides that, maybe they want more money by giving courses to others. But you have still point, for me, I will never pay someone to teach me a trade or will buy some courses. I know it is much better to do our own research or more on self-study, much better for me since there's already a lot of resources now.
If they are so good in the trading and are successful as they claim to be, what more money do they want that they don’t already got in the trading, and like he said, most successful traders would not even have time to do tutorials because they are busy trading, we have to understand that there is a difference between a trader and an tutor.

We understand those who tutor fully in how to trade, those ones are basically interested in making money out of training people but not as a full time trader,  a full time trader can only take money to trade on behalf of a newbie in order for them to make more profit.
168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader for Hire on: April 28, 2019, 06:35:43 AM
If I am a newbie trader, I think I won't allow others to trade my coins and then its too risky because I don't know you personally.
And if I'm going to do that, I guess I cannot explore or excel my skills in trading If I will depend my capital to others skills in doing the
actual trade in the market exchange platform.
It is never even advisable for a newbie to allow other to trade on his behalf because it will only end up making such trader useless and weak, a newbie needs experience to really learn the trading terrain and gain lots of strategy, the pro trader who promises to also trade might lose too, because what they will give you is 50:50 chances.

So if there is non-guaranteed of winning, then it will be better I trade it myself, then if I make a mistake I look into such mistake, research on it, ask mentors about it and learn to become better and be a good pro trader like the person that promises to trade my money.
169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im a full Time Trader on: April 27, 2019, 08:58:16 PM
And I am not making the money.
Lol, you're a full time trader and you don't make any money then how do you survive ? You better go find another job to do and then have trading as a part time job. There are lots of things you've got to learn, I don't know why you chose to be a full time trader when you know nothing about it. Maybe you should go for hodl instead and also have another job doing till you get to learn how trading works. It doesn't work for everyone, if you can't get to understand how it works then leave it and focus on other things instead of losing your money every time you trade.
- He should really look for another job to do instead of just focusing on becoming a full-time trader because as you say, he doesn't know too much about trading, the result he receives is the clearest evidence of his knowledge, he can't blame luck or market conditions, agree that these two factors are related to the successful process of trading but after all, full-time traders always need skills and knowledge to make money, not just relying on random factors, the road to becoming a full-time trader and success will not be as easy as rumors, he should learn to give up
His own understanding and definition might just be a shallow one; he really need to first understand the meaning of full time trader. I don’t think it is job he needs, I believe he still has passion for trading, and that is why he didn’t keep silent on his problem and came out openly to confess it.

What I just feel he needs is a proper mentor that will sit him down and fully download the in and out of trading into his brain, once he can get a proper knowledge of it, then overtime, he will be able to develop his own personal strategy that will help him succeed in trading.
170  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will Binance get closed down? on: April 27, 2019, 07:59:33 PM
I dont think so , binance is one of the largest exchange. they will stay forever
I have never see that threat that is strong enough to pull Binance down, except it is a  decision that will be made by the CEO to do that, they have not defrauded people, they have not seized their money, they have added more value to the life if their users than the users have to them.

So many traders are making more money now in their trade because of the low trading cost they have, I think all these negative news about Binance is strictly emanating from other exchanges that are jealous of Binance because of their inability to perform well, there inability to perform well should not be picked on Binance but they need to amend in their operations.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Stablecoins A Necessary Evil? on: April 27, 2019, 07:17:34 PM
If they are giving protection against volatility, They are helping to increase liquidity then I do not think terming them "evil" is correct.
I do not think our dependence on them is going to reduce because market will not like to reduce the liquidity.

I think that is because, they are promoting large business and to invite big businessman here on the cryptocurrency space? Because if we are going to look at the situation, when investors think about a stable market price, they might buy and accumulate huge amount of it. Disregarding other crypto's leaving behind.
I think the existence of stable coins in the market has been of great influence as regards creating awareness and making the crypto space easier for these business men to operate. If we look at the cryptocurrency world and its volatility, we will realize that this period only favors more of investors and not institutions or an individual that wishes to use the crypto strictly for utility token.

As these businessmen gets acquainted to using stables coins for savings and making necessary payments without the fear of volatile or the value of the fund they intend using for some particular payment settlements plunges overnight, it will become easier for all of them to migrate to BTC easily in near future when it becomes stable too.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 27, 2019, 06:26:28 PM
I have not heard about this ants fight even in my childhood days. What i always played is the spiders fight. I think it's only good for children and not for adults. Maybe in some countries they are betting with insect fights but here in my country, it's not really happening.
I too do not think if such a game even exists or it might be there somewhere but very few among us know about it and since the risk and uncertainty in the gambling is very high, I do not think anyone will go for it. Why not rather go for sports gambling which is way too entertaining and has visible signs about the win or loss.

Moreover, you could make use of your experience in sports gambling to maximize the chances to win whereas even with (for example) horse racing too we cannot be sure about to be winning all the times (horse race betting is one of recognized skill based gambling in many countries).
If spider and insects bite exist, then there is possibility of having ant bites, but I have never heard about it also. I just know that everything is possible for those who can gamble on anything they lay their hands on. In my opinion, I would say that these ones shouldn’t be categorized as gambling, let’s see it as children game play. Real gambling will not involve these tiny creatures. Like you have suggested sport betting and I can add dice games and other very interesting games, this is gambling for matured minds, that would make one reason very well, not ants or spider.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: April 27, 2019, 04:10:25 PM
Even though most people play gambling only to seek pleasure, but when we gamble, of course there will be many people who feel disadvantaged and benefit. not a few people focus on gambling because they certainly expect a big win in play with a focus on playing using a mature strategy to produce quick profits while playing

And it is kind of mysterious how people get addicted to it.

In our country, fiestas are a thing and a lot of people are really waiting for it, not only the fiesta but also the trucks that bring gambling games before the fiesta. I am saying mysterious since, in a way, they would say that they are not addicted to it but they are obviously into it. I mean I asked someone I know if they are already addicted to it or not and his answer is "no, I'm not, why would I?" but their actions speak louder than his words.
I have never seen any addicted gambler that admits to addiction but this doesn’t make gambling it mysterious. There is nothing mysterious about gambling addiction, its self-made and that is the reason why most addicted gamblers are always ashamed to admit to been addicted to the game. Gambling addiction happens when the gambler stays for too long on the game.

It is okay to have fun in gambling but it is wrong to spend so much time on the game, all in the name of having it for entertainment. This is where gamblers get it wrong, and before you know it, it grows to become addiction.
174  Economy / Gambling / Re: CrashMoney.io - First Paypal instant deposit crash game! on: April 27, 2019, 01:09:38 PM
Just a feeling, prove me wrong, but I predict bad things will happen to this site one way or the other.
Is there any gambling site that does not have its own risk? That is why we are all here in the gambling space, if they are able to manage the site well, I don’t see any problem arising and looking at the concept of their product, and it looks so nice and very promising.

The part that amazes me most is that part of paypal acceptance, I never knew that paypal has also started accepting cryptocurrency payment process, even if they are not depositing it directly, but it is a good thing they have accept to link their payment gate way into converting fiat to crypto, except that is not how it works, still studying to fully understand.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Binance Is Becoming Too Powerful (and really scary). on: April 27, 2019, 08:44:34 AM
I wonder what makes us fearful about the development of Binance on the market? What if we see its improvement on a positive way, rather than to speculate some misleading information that can cause market fluctuation in a negative way, I am supporting Binance since then, and I am very proud of it right now.
Rather than being fearful of Binance, we can simply just encourage others into doing better too; Binance has been very hardworking since the time they were created which we all could see through their moves, they must have had sleepless nights in making sure they get their projects working in such a short time.

I don’t think Binance has ever engaged themselves in activities that will affect us negatively in this crypto space, all they have ever done is to create a conducive environment that will make us have a smooth transaction in this crypto space, so what Binance really need right now is us to keep encouraging them in their hard work, and I don’t mind even of it becomes a monopolized exchange.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to 4100$ on: April 27, 2019, 08:08:08 AM
BTC has being moving upwards and climbing the new stairs everyday. It has reached 5500$ in quick time and more to come with this power and will keep climbing upwards. It is also a good time for people to continue holding the coins and get the gains from it.

We have really see significant progress in bitcoin pricing since it breaks $4000 trading area and for those that were able to buy then I do believe that they are now in serious profits now.  However,  when there is a great uncertainty it is difficult to invest especially if you are not a risk taking type.
Yes, they are in serious profit, but it is nothing compared to the profit they will reap in some years’ time when they continue to hold, this is the mistake that I see people do make, they get carried away by these little profit now and sell off their shares in the Bitcoin, which they end up regretting later when they finally see the highest value bitcoin gets to later in future.

We just have to have some level of real patience, Rome wasn’t built in one day, it takes time to lay a solid foundation. This is a foundation we are already laying for our future and it will be a great loss if we lose it to a token.
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin went from $5420 to $5117 in 2 minutes! Bubble? on: April 27, 2019, 06:50:12 AM
Is the crypto bubble finally coming to a end? Why and HOW is it possible for bitcoin to dump that much that fast? Is bitcoin controlled by 1 entity and will that entity dump bitcoin to $100 one day?
How?  Don’t you have an investment in BTC, Don’t I have also? We have millions of people that have invested in BTC, so where are those people’s investment in BTC if you say it is being controlled by one entity? Cryptocurrency dumping practice in the market is inevitable, so long we have people who are taking profits on a short term.

This would not be the first time BTC will dumb so hard and pick up again, let me tell you, every dump in price of BTC is a blessing for someone, just like it is for me, I have been waiting for the opportunity I got and I gran=bed it immediately it came, I am sure, the value will pick up back speedily real soon.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 26, 2019, 05:33:34 PM
Spurs is doing something amazing but at the same time it was kind of expected as well. I don't know how the second seed and seventh seed is on their game 7 soon and we are not even shocked, normally the second seed should either sweep the seventh seed or it should take 5 games at most because there is that much gap. Looking at the clippers warriors game that is shocking too actually, and everyone though blazers versus okc would be an equal match but it wasn't neither.

This season is full of surprises and I can't really wait to see the next round, warriors vs rockets and blazers vs spurs/nuggets , it is going to be amazing and its going to really shape up the rest of the season, rockets after all can either win or at least give warriors a challenge which will make it harder for them on the conference finals and after conference finals it will be even harder on finals, warriors will be at least tired when they get there.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with your Parents on: April 26, 2019, 04:15:41 PM
Bingo and Mahjong was exactly the game the OP said he and his family played then when he was still young but I don't support of act of family gambling together at the same spot cause it lead to something just like the OP story. However, I disagree with you concern what you said about lottery and just because it require no skills doesn't make it an awful game.
The level of maturity applied to a game matters a lot;probably they didn’t apply some level of maturity through self-control. I notice that men are usually more addicted to gambling than women and since the wife knows about this, she would have been the one to balanced things and not make gambling an everyday habit.

I can understand how difficult it can be to pay attention to your partner when gambling gets deep into the soul, that is why we have to always learn to control ourselves, the foundation of the family was even founded on a wrong one because no responsible matured parents will allow their children to get exposed to gambling at an early stages.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of Altcoin can buy now? on: April 26, 2019, 09:26:33 AM
Smiley Market is day by going below in Altcoin. If i buy some Altcoin now for long time hold what type of coin can buy?
please give me suggestion of experts about trader.
I think the way you would know what altcoins to buy is to do a study about altcoins that are very popular then check what they have to offer in the Crypto space, their real time value would determine the price of the altcoins in the nearest future, one of the project you should make a research about is tron, eos and I still see eth as a very good buy because it has a lot of trading volume and the team are working on something to solve the issue of scalability, though not revealed yet.
