161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 12, 2023, 10:32:03 PM
I've seen some people bet big bucks on Tapales as they said that the odds will get lower the closer we are to the date of the fight. I know it's a shot in the dark but it's still possible that Tapales might snatch this win off of Inoue. Then again, when it comes to skill and overall punching power, Inoue is just levels above Tapales, that I think betting huge money on the Filipino to ride the odds is just insanity.

I have to agree with you there even though I'm with Marlon Tapales here to win the match. I do not even want to touch that fight with my money. It's insane to go with a decent amount of betting for Tapales but if that's a people way to support him, then good luck on their bet. Juicy odds indeed but it won't give me a temptation to bet on that. As a bettor, I preferred to bet for Inoue winning in a specific round or how he would win in this fight.

But again, since I'm a PH fan of boxing, I don't feel comfortable placing money for Inoue because I support Tapales here. Although like you said, we have to accept that Inoue is above anything against Tapales. I don't see an upset win here by Tapales but I'm hoping it will happen.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: December 12, 2023, 10:17:26 PM
Do you guys also follow a similar strategy like gambling with 1% or 2% on each game? This way not only we are safe from losing big amounts but at the same time, we never find ourselves in a situation where we go all in, in some bet and then have the fear of losing all of our money.

I don't follow that procedure nor will I call it a strategy. I will gamble depending on my self-decision at that moment. In gambling, either winning or losing, both can bring out the eagerness of the gambler to just continue. Any supposed percentage of the money won't surely be followed properly because of that eagerness. Even if we already reached that said percentage as a limit, it won't give an assurance that we will stop from there.

Just try to force ourselves to stop at a given point where we think shit is now happening and the bankroll will soon be wrecked.

Well, scammers are very rampant in the internet so if newbies will be easily lured by those tempting offers, expect that all those offers which are too good to be true will certainly turned into scams. That is the reason why we need regulated gambling casinos to lessen the scamming incidents, and to maximize reputable casinos in the market. And by having provable fair system, having rigged games are discouraged so as to give fair games to all.

Even with regulation or not, scammers will always be a part of any industry, especially in the gambling industry.

To minimize the number of scam incidents, the precaution should always be to start with the user itself.

Newbies are not dumb enough to fall easily on those tempting offers but unfortunately, not all newbies are like that and many failed on that part.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Ever Made Such Mistake Before, But Won still? on: October 08, 2023, 11:55:43 PM
A lot of times I made mistakes in betting, but most of them turned into losses, and only few made it to success. Now I’m more cautious in dealing with my bets. I don’t want to bet and make some errors on the amount that I supposed to bet because I know it will only lead to another mistake. And as much as possible, when I bet, that comes from a good analysis of mine and even from my instincts since we can’t avoid at some point not to believe in our instincts and just regret later on.

Yes, I feel you. It's better for me to be cautious about the amount I place with instead of the mistake of picking the wrong bet.

Although there's a chance to win big out of that mistake amount, it might reduce our bankroll that easily if we lose.

But generally, being cautious on where to place our bet alongside the bet amount, should be considered as a regular habit to do.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: October 08, 2023, 11:53:13 PM
I'm more interested in trying online slots based on Chinese-related themes.

Either a Chinese Dragon, Chinese Buddha, their calligraphy, Chinese font style, etc.

I don't know and there's no explanation for it but playing at these themes is like giving me more chances of winning either we all know that in reality, whatever the online slot theme is, our fate still depends on our luck and not anything else. Just hope for the best. Smiley
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons you should not gamble on too many things at once. on: October 08, 2023, 11:50:29 PM
If you have the habit of playing and gambling on different sports and game, I think it is not good because of some few reasons like;
YOU WILL SPEND MORE MONEY ON GAMBLING.
YOU CAN BECOME MORE EASILY ADDICTED THAN A GAMBLER WHO PLAYS ONLY ONE GAME.
YOUR CHANCES OF LOOSING WILL INCREASE, BUT YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING MAY NOT INCREASE.
YOU WILL SPEND MORE TIME GAMBLING.
Which other reason?

How can you say that if bettors place a bet on several matches at once, their winning won't increase?

What if these bettors really know what they are doing and doing good analysis?

Either they bet on single or multi bets, as long as they understand what they are betting to, I don't see any problem of doing that.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New ID requirements for Gamblers in Australia on: October 07, 2023, 11:58:32 PM
Since that was Austalian government new law regarding gambling, everyone should comply. We can see here that Australia is one of the country that really active in doing their best to implement a healthy gambling. KYC sucks but people need to understand that it's necessary as a part of regulation.

I found it hassle to have that new ID requirements but for the sake of cooperating with the government, I will comply on that if our country will have the same regulation in the future. As long as it doesn't need a tremendous and crazy process, that should be fine.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: One seed, One casino game. Superstitious or Not? on: October 07, 2023, 11:56:06 PM
Calling it as a superstitious might be too much. Let's just understand these people follow their own beliefs.

If that's an effective tool to them, then good for them. Their own belief doesn't work to anyone.  Maybe just found our own belief that we can used.

It's hard to just trust our luck nowadays that's why it would be better if we have our own stand. Who knows we can create our own one too where we can called it a luck strategy.
170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 07, 2023, 11:53:31 PM
The best and professional traders nowdays also started on several mistakes. Since what OP mentioned are common mistakes, it should also have a common solution but the problem is, it's hard to execute in the actual trading. Those who left trading are not really just they lose but rather they just lose interest in trading.

Look at those who experience terrible losses even for years. They don't give up and able to bounce back on those losses and now seen as a successful traders today. Practice might not always can turned into perfect but what matter here is, the consistent win over losses.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading on: October 07, 2023, 11:46:45 PM
I think that by trading on my own I am just overtrading...I am looking for options to get trading ideas/trading signals etc to analyze those ideas and select only the best ones.
What options does one have to view trading ideas/signals from other professional traders?

You can test the result by doing both. See in the long-run the most and effective way to deal with your trades.

It's not wrong to follow someone but at least, you should established your own trading knowledge while doing trading.

As soon as you become an experienced trader, you don't need to rely on these copy trading or looking for someone analysis.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Before you take sides on: October 06, 2023, 11:53:15 PM
Before you take sides with gamblers claiming they get banned for winning too much, remember that casinos are good at monitoring and preventing fraudulent behaviors, you break some rules you are out, and no cheater want to admit that they cheat.

If it's properly explained by the casino, then they can slap the face of those who complaint against them.

If it's properly explained by the gambler, then the community will side to them and will wait for the casino response.

Of course, we don't want to take side right away without knowing both parties side.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 06, 2023, 11:49:01 PM
If the kids of the gamblers was very young,he may easily affected by the gambler. If the gambler kids was with mature age like 15-17,it help the gambler kids to find which one is wrong and which one is right. The kids between 15-17 had a clever mind set to choose the gambling even though, his father are gambler.

Explain how these kids will even know how to access a gambling site if in the first place, they still didn't know where even have to start?

These kids, probably in the bracket below 15 of age won't spend time knowing what gambling is especially if it involves money. On that age, they never hold enough money and they don't know well how to access the internet outside their usual activity like they are only watching Youtube etc.

If kids saw us doing gambling, they will just taught that we are just playing a usual game.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: October 06, 2023, 11:43:24 PM
Instead of outrightly banning gambling, how about if the concerned countries officially include gambling education in their academic syllabus, just like sex education is taught in schools. Gambling education will teach the young ones the dangers of gambling and promote moderation in gambling. Will this not be a better way to handle the gambling cases?

There's no need for Gambling education just to teach society the pros and cons of gambling.

Everything about how to become a responsible gamber can just be taught to ourselves automatically without the need for separate education just only for that.

The problem is not the gambling itself but the person itself. I don't see why the country should allow that gambling education just for the sake of these people not turning into a gambler. Persons have different life status. Even there's a gambling education, it will just be treat just an ordinary subject by young ones. They will be even more eager to gamble if a main discussion about gambling will always be teach to them.

175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage greed to place your bet on: October 06, 2023, 11:39:08 PM
Again why do you regret after putting smaller amounts and it happens the games went as planned and starts blaming yourself for not increasing your bet amount, maybe by now you could have cashed out big time. How do you control this thought over your ends do you keep to your regulations of always placing bets with some limits or you place bet according to your mind and regrets after losing that amount for not following your limits?

Lets discuss wisely and if something related to this post please point it out.. Maybe would devote time to study what has been written over there.

It's not greed but rather you just want to test your luck. There's actually no need to discuss how to manage that.

If you feel that you will really nailed it, don't hesitate and just place your bet.

Good for me to lose as I tried it in the place rather than to feel regret when that bet won.
176  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: October 05, 2023, 11:31:57 PM

So ganun din. Nag antay pa rin ng matagal haha.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 05, 2023, 11:24:43 PM
So maybe just the rest of the NBA, after their dismal performance in FIBA's competition recently in Manila, high caliber athletes are eager to don the US Jersey this coming Olympics and represent Team USA and extract their revenge and win the Gold medal to show US supremacy again in basketball.

Nah there's no such thing as revenge. The Olympics is just more heavy than the FIBA World Cup for these NBA superstars.

The fact that Team USA didn't bring any top superstars to the recent FIBA World Cup just shows that they consider FIBA as a practice stage for their youngsters to compete in global competition. Even if they won the Gold on the recent FIBA, their overall lineup in the Olympics will still be purely top NBA superstars and not those roster they have sent in FIBA.

FIBA happens every year. Olympics is every 2 or 4 years? That's how the special Olympics is.

Example, coins.ph to bank - matic crypto-related yan.

179  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: October 03, 2023, 11:18:18 PM

Maybe that time may problema lang. Na-try mo na ba ulit after an hour, days etc?

180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading purely based on luck. on: October 03, 2023, 10:57:10 PM
I tried to trade without any analysis, relying only on luck, I was flipping a coin for each trade I entered.
During a three day period, I initiated three trades per day, each with a small profit target and a stop-loss order. Surprisingly, these results outperformed the trades I made based on speculation and trend analysis.
it is important to note that the long term outcome remains uncertain.
I considered this experiment a success mainly due to the fact that I was trading on a demo account with no emotional involvement, and the trades automatically closed when they reached their stop loss levels, and I did not make impulsive decisions to alter the stop loss orders.
In real trading scenarios, emotional factors, such as adjusting stop-loss levels and increasing leverage, often lead to losses.

If that's work for you, then just continue. But still I don't want to rely on purely luck when it comes on trading.

Maybe you have a good winning percentage for now but time will come when relying on luck might instead give you a sudden loss and continuous losing streak. Maybe just try to make it balance, still relying on your luck while at the same time, still applying your trading analysis.

I don't consider your experiment as a success. From what I read, you only based on 3 days period. Tried to make it monthly.
