161  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-31] Facebook Ban is a Good Thing for Crypto on: January 31, 2018, 10:21:28 PM
And some people misinformed thought facebook ban cryptocurrency, have seen a thread discuss about it. Yes, it's a good thing as too many ads lead to scam or fraudulent sites, even if the website is clearly a copycat. There should be a system developed to check whether it's really a legit product/service to be advertised, even report a fraudulent website to google takes a long time for them to close the ads. But, it's a good thing to ban ICO ads as most ICO are unpredictable and ended with a mass loss.
162  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best cloud mining site on: January 31, 2018, 05:00:05 PM
There is no such 'best cloud mining'
Mining becomes a hard thing without proper planning and sufficient funds to start.
Cloud mining offers an easy way to earn bitcoin without doing anything but there are a lot of problems regarding its service
but the most important thing is transparency due too many complain about the payment, delayed, reduced, difficulty, etc.
which mean, do not invest in cloud mining if you are not ready to lose your money, better to buy some hardware and mine cryptocurrencies by yourself.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: January 30, 2018, 11:49:16 PM
Indeed, it's easier to transact using fiat currency instead of using cryptocurrency, there is no record of the transaction between two people who transact using fiat currency (completely anonymous) unless you transact using the bank system. And the most important thing is, fiat currency is backed by the government, hence the value remains constant even though the value decreases over time due to inflation, but cryptocurrency fluctuates a lot which can cause a huge loss if the price suddenly crashes and fall through the floor.
164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy more or pull back on: January 30, 2018, 11:12:53 PM
I'm a hodl type guy and i am in love with the Onion Product and process so i'm buying more and more as the price drops

You are on the right path, most coins are on the discount time right now, but it will recover after some point even though it takes weeks or months to reach new ATH. I don't interested in onion products, but let consider bitcoin as the benchmark for altcoins as the market reacts based on bitcoin price. If bitcoin gains more value in February or March, altcoins will follow to increase as well. it doesn't matter as you are "hodl type guy". Just keep buying at cheaper price and hold for a long-term, it will profitable in the end of the day obviously.
165  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-30] Samsung Enters `Mass Production` of ASIC Miners on: January 30, 2018, 10:56:36 PM
"Samsung edges in on Bitmain",  a good thing as Bitmain become the only market makers for ASICs hardware and they can mark-up the price at their will due to the big demand. I'm wondering whether the ASIC miners will be sold to the public or it just private-sell to "Chinese partnership?
a better ASIC means; it can generate bigger hashrate but sold at a cheaper price or at least it has the same price as Bitmain's ASIC.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble closer than you think? on: January 30, 2018, 10:41:41 PM
Everything that suddenly pumped significantly in a short time is a bubble, including bitcoin when it reached $20,000 and then pops up to $11,000. Look at the current price at $10K, barely can't pass the $12K wall. Hence, it's better if bitcoin price increases slowly but steady. But, it won't be achieved without usability appeal of bitcoin, as soon as core developers and miners agreed to implement another scale solution such as the lightning network or Schnorr signatures, hopefully, the transaction fees will be decline and no longer takes a long time to be confirmed.
167  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Cloud Miner on: January 30, 2018, 06:22:43 AM
I got geneismining a year ago to mine me bitcoin and I don't really like it so far. If this is the best one then I guess I will deal with it but if I am to purchase cloud mining which cloud miner should I get?

I have talked with my friend that has invested in genesis mining, he said it's profitable as he has enough hashrate to generate bitcoin.
if you want to share your experience, you may provide more information about how much hashrate that you have?
as it's not worth to purchase a little hashrate from cloud mining, it will take a long time to generate bitcoin due to difficulty obviously.
if you have 15,000 GH/s, it can generate BTC0.04346997 monthly or equal to $500, minus maintenance fees.
What about other cloud mining? I don't recommend any of them, but do your own research about a cloud mining site before sending your money to them.
if the electricity cost in your city isn't so expensive, less than $0.13/kwh, you can try to mine by yourself, just buy some GPUs or some ASICs, it's more reliable and profitable than cloud mining.
168  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why don't people realize the problems with cloud mining? on: January 30, 2018, 05:30:55 AM
The reality is, people are too focused on the positives offered by cloud mining service providers. While they say when the promotion is very different from what happens when the promotion is complete.

Average cloud mining says it will start mining process 3 months after the purchase of hash rate, and some even more. Whereas in 3 - 4 months mining, they can buy more mining tools that they buy with investors money. It should not hurt them to give a lifetime profit facility if it did happen.

Indeed, the biggest problem with cloud mining whether they are really honest regarding all the things that going on in their mining facility.
In this case, let's take a look at Ice Rock Mining cloud mining, it fits perfectly with what you have mentioned.
I'm one of the investors on ICO 1 that last from September 25th - October 1st, 2017 and have promised their investor will get bitcoin mining contract on December 20th, 2017. But, there are many investors that didn't get bitcoin mining contract until today because they just bought 20 S9. So, IRM devs have promised (again) for investors will get bitcoin mining contract in March. The problem is; IRM devs are running 2nd ICO, create a new system (site) for 2nd wave of investors but there is no any site where first investors can register to see the hashrate, even they send eth and ltc payments manually which they have promised to create a site for automatic payment system on December 20th, 2017.
169  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex: the whorst support service! on: January 29, 2018, 11:58:15 PM
the ticket still in "being processed" status.
was opened 12 days ago.
ridiculous!

It's not just Poloniex, most of global exchange facing the same problem with too many new customers which cause too many tickets submitted everyday.
Sent them some tickets over and over again won't help but makes things worse imo, as the tickets become increasingly bloated.
Nothing that you can do about it but try to contact their support through social media (twitter, facebook, etc) and wait for the answer.
170  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Solution to bitcoins "volatility" problems. on: January 29, 2018, 11:44:28 PM
But once people can buy stuff using bitcoin, it will be the US dollar which becomes volatile.

People can buy stuff using bitcoin since a few years ago, even right now you can use it to buy some goods even buy a house, just hire a lawyer to make it happen.
in fact, people in Japan can buy almost anything using bitcoin, pay electricity, a ticket for airplane, for food, etc.

Quote
Bitcoin replacing USD will completely help the entire economy, because of reverse inflation, the value of bitcoin will rise, and each day prices of products will appear to be getting cheaper and cheaper...next thing you know a Lamborghini will only cost 1 bitcoin...

Bitcoin won't replacing USD, the US government has stated bitcoin as a commodity, not a currency even though it can be used to buy something.
But, the government can prohibit bitcoin to be used as a currency just like happened in many countries.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good news from Ripple (XRP) on: January 29, 2018, 11:28:52 PM
Ripple total circulating supply is huge. Do you think it could surpass Bitcoin in 2018? If  btc stay stagnant, Ripple would over take it if the price is $4.50. I am worried it will not test the high of $3.50 anymore unless there are tremendously good news from the company.
Some people say that ripple is only a token and not complete coin like ether and bitcoin, though they feel this coin would never rise. In my opinion, ripple can possibly rise upto $200 someday because i have seen many similar coins which are nothing than a token but still they have crossed $150, how they surged that price?  Ripple has a massive support, it can be higher in price

Look at ripple volume in the market, it's huge, that's why it becomes top 10 coins on coinmarketcap but the problem comes with it. People hold too many ripples and ready to dump it at a higher price, as happened before. Every coin that pumped significantly in short time will be corrected obviously. If you aware of how ripple being used in banks environment, it will be clear that ripple always gain more value in the early of the year because that is the time for banks to move their funds.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptos be so volatile forever? on: January 29, 2018, 11:16:38 PM
When will we reach the state of more of less stable cryptocurrencies or it is in their nature and will never end?
The prices will get more stable when the prices are really expensive...so expensive that it would take a lot of money to get rid of a 1 BTC wall.

There's no guarantee of such thing because some people hold too many bitcoin in their pocket, which they have bought it at cheaper price. If they decide to sell, surely will affect the price moreover at higher price.
In short, bitcoin volatility will never end, unless bitcoin spread widely without no one hold more than BTC1, which mean no one can manipulate the market.
173  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Minimize Fee for Micro transaction on Exchanger on: January 29, 2018, 03:15:49 PM
Hello I Want share my writing on steemit  about trick to minimize the bitcoin fee on exchanger especially for micro transaction ,  this trick help me a lot when i want withrdaw my little money .
The main idea of this trick is using 2 exhanger with same alt coin  as an intermediary for bitcoin exchange

It's not trick for withdrawing, you are misleading the information about it.
You may have to move this thread to the Trading discussion as this trick is a common thing to do for traders.
and it can be classified as arbitrage trading, using 2 exchanges and 2 different coins to get more profits.
Another advice; you may want to learn how to write an article in the proper way with the correct grammar.
174  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-28] Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor: Bitcoin Investing is a ‘Gamble’ on: January 29, 2018, 02:15:40 AM
Like people always mention; do not put all eggs in a basket and do not put money that you are not willing to lose. But, in general, bitcoin always recover and reach a new ATH, it's a good reason for long-term holders.
Bolded part applies to gambling where people actually can lose all their money. I find it a wrong term to use with Bitcoin since no one is losing anything ~ you will always have your coins, and that regardless of the price.

I can understand that people may get frustrated or upset if the price is going down after them having invested, but that's part of this market. Important to point out as you also stated, the price thus far has always recovered.

It may take a while to recover in some cases, but losses over the long term so far has never occurred if you're a firm hodler. It's just a matter of accepting this market's fluctuations and deal with it accordingly.

Traders trade the volatility, and hodlers keep hodling patiently.

In that case, refers to the part of 'gamble' as the title mentioned; Bitcoin investing is a gamble.
Especially for layman or newbies that have planned to invest in bitcoin, I clearly mentioned the advantage if people invest in Bitcoin as the price increase over time.
But, there will always "correction" which causes bitcoin price to plummet such as happened before, from $20,000 to $9200.
For people who have invested at $2K, it's a great loss and the fact is; we don't know when bitcoin price will recover, whether it takes 2 months or 5 months.
How if they can't wait until bitcoin recover to $20K as they really need cash for something? That's why it's a good thing to note; do not put money that you are not willing to lose.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Transaction fees going down~ on: January 28, 2018, 11:59:13 PM
Yeah, it started since a few days ago, I've been waiting over a month for my transaction to get confirmed, and finally, it did. I have paid a very low fee in December 2017, it still confirmed though.
After the check, find this: The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 190 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.
For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 42,940 satoshis.
https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/
190 says/byte is pretty good for me, well it's time to send bitcoin to exchange Cheesy before the fees increase again.
176  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-28] Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor: Bitcoin Investing is a ‘Gamble’ on: January 28, 2018, 11:29:20 PM
Bitcoin growing over 1000% in the last year, no wonder why many people even some big investors called it as a bubble because it reached $20,000 and corrected to $9200 a few weeks ago.
If people want to invest in bitcoin or cryptocurrency, they must aware of the risk such as if bitcoin corrected again, the value decrease as much 50% isn't small number obviously. Like people always mention; do not put all eggs in a basket and do not put money that you are not willing to lose. But, in general, bitcoin always recover and reach a new ATH, it's a good reason for long-term holders.
177  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining.... Does it pay? on: January 24, 2018, 11:50:58 PM
Ive read alot about cloud mining and have a small  eth/zcash/monero contracts with genesis.  I was just wondering if anyone could share some experienced info as most of my contracts are only a few months old and I wanna know if its worth expecting much a return... thanks

Most people may say: do not invest on cloud mining, most are scams or ponzi scheme, or it's not profitable as the difficulty increases over time and there are a lot of costs for maintenance, electricity or pay fees for bitcoin transactions.
That's true, that's why you should be careful about choosing the company which offers cloud mining, so far there are few trusted cloud mining such as hashflare and genesis mining, I won't recommend to invest on both if you don't know the risk of investment. Just put some money that you are willing to lose, but according to people who have invested on both, yes it does pay contract holders.
May I ask; which cloud mining that you have invested? as you said the contracts are only for a few months.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin effect the current economy system? on: January 24, 2018, 11:30:33 PM
The impact of bitcoin is very influential for low economic actors like me.
How not, my salary in the factory is still higher the result of this bitcoin.
So, this bitcoin really helps my economy.

Op ask about bitcoin effect on the economic system, it's more complex than just your economic condition.
Bitcoin may help some people to earn more as the price rate is higher compared with any other currency, as long as you can earn bitcoin, it's a good way for additional income. But the fact is; most countries do not have a regulation regarding cryptocurrency and some countries have started to learn about bitcoin in order to issue a regulation about it such as happened in South Korea.

One thing for sure, crypto-community become bigger over time and billions of dollars involve in cryptocurrency every day, exchanges may become another gold mine for a country to tax everyone who involved in cryptocurrency for their capital gains.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔥 LUNYR 🔥 Decentralized World Knowledge Base on Ethereum / OPEN BETA 🚀 on: January 24, 2018, 11:18:16 PM
Just learning about the idea of Lunyr project, it seems interesting to develop a resource of crowdsourced encyclopedia for reliable and accurate information, moreover, we can contribute by writing or peer reviewing articles. But the most amazing thing is decentralized applications in Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and, Augmented Reality as the next stage of Lunyr development, may I ask how far the development of these apps right now? whether it has started like 30% - 50% or not yet?

Hi, this is something we are actively working on. Right now we are preparing for the Beta launch come January 30th, but the API access is part of our roadmap as well.

Not what I've expected, but we will find out about it on January 30th then.
I' have not read about the Alpha project, What is the difference between Alpha and Beta version of Lunyr? Seems like there are a lot of new features developed for Open Beta.
I'm curious about Lunyr API which will allow developers to use the knowledge base as a backbone to create next-generation decentralized applications in Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and more. Developers here refers to Lunyr team or can others participate to develop the apps? as people can contribute to creating a content.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One more leg down - price to 8000 - 9000 area? on: January 24, 2018, 10:50:46 PM
Not sure if bitcoin can decline to $8000 again, we will find out about it by the end of this month as bitcoin futures contract will be expired on January 26th.
We have seen bitcoin corrected to $9,200 a few days ago after CBOE's futures expired, so the same thing may be repeated this time as well.
Consider it as a good time to buy bitcoin, we will entering the second-phase of discount time, I expect most coins will be in bloodbath again following bitcoin fall down to the floor.
