161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: September 07, 2017, 04:15:57 PM
Hold and buy. Never ever sell while there's a dump ongoing. Panicking will make you lose profit and even make yoy below youe capital. If you've invested, especially in btc, wait for rhe dump to finish or better yet, grab the chance to buy at a lower price.
Agreed, never sell once there's a dump happening rather that the time where you buy coins and sell once you see an opening where you felt that the price went too high where a certain coin goes a dump after that.
Another thing, don't try to sell your altcoins when bitcoin is on dump because most altcoins goes into dump too when bitcoin does.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: September 07, 2017, 04:03:27 PM
Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years?

We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal.

Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired.  Grin
But paypal and bitcoin are 2 different things no? Bitcoin is currency while paypal is a payment platform. I don't see the relevance but bitcoin can Be accepted as payment as i wish 😊
Exactly, paypal and bitcoin cannot be compared to each other since they are both different and has its own function.  For example, bitcoin is an internet currency while PayPal is a platform that let's online transaction easier.
But it would be a good thing if Paypal starts to use bitcoin as a currency on their platform rather than just  using fiat money.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your favorite trading exchange ? on: September 07, 2017, 03:37:10 PM
Bittrex i prefer that exchange because have good interface, Has a great popularity and the trading volume is high. This exchange also accessible on smartphone who very usefull for people like me often away from the computer.
I too would prefer to use bittrex as my main exchange site not because it's my favorite rather its the most trusted exchange and has a good interface for traders. Anyway, I too use different exchange since not all token are on bittrex except for Yobit which has a lot of problems and shitcoins. Anyway, about on how to access it whether to use phone or PC, most exchange out there have already adopted on these things so both can be use to access them but it's much easier on PC.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it technically possible to ban Bitcoin in a particular country? on: September 07, 2017, 03:23:47 PM
Yes they can ban bitcoin in there countries as long as the government has talked about it and decided it. But they can't eliminate bitcoin on their country rather it will be hard for them to transact it and withdraw or convert it into fiat money. They would even IP block the whole country into some bitcoin sites where can be easily be bypass thru VPN networks. Those could be the only outcome once a country ban bitcoin or any cryptocoin.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: September 07, 2017, 02:57:06 PM
As I believe that there is no way of making money from gambling and I believe that gambling should only be used as an hobby and as a way to get excitement,  so that's my reason to gamble.

I gamble when I am bored to have fun, as I believe I can't make any profit off gambling.

Actually you can earn some profit to gambling as long as the game your playing isn't luck based like Sports and e-Sport. Mostly games that are luck based are turned into gambling because they allow you to bet on it even though we know that they are made for fun.
166  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit selling off the dust... on: September 07, 2017, 02:06:49 PM
I am leaving yobit for greener pastures, but I have lots of small amounts of stuff in there.
I run in to a problem were a few things are not sold because there is less than 0.00010000 value in them.

I see people making trades all the time for tiny amounts over and over, so I know it can be done, but how would I do this?

I don't you can trade tiny amounts on yobit just like any other exchange out there. And i think those you've seen are just left over from other people who trade a normal amount required.
Anyway, congratulations on leaving the one of the worst exchanges out there. Better find other exchanges like Bittrex that you can trust.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: September 07, 2017, 02:01:42 PM
from my personal experience most peoples like to risk the whole winning at once to earn some more big chunks but thats not a good habbit for me personally because by doing this you will surely end of loosing winning + starting amount at one day. The best way to earn money by gambling is to have proper bankroll management after having a great win. Do not increase your bet size gradually after your winning and always tries to cut the portion of winning at safe place from your betting bankroll because whenever you looses your winning that savings on wining will surely help you lot .
My recommendation is no different than you in this scenario. Gambling again with the earned profits can end up in losing all the winnings. That much greed is fatal. What I prefer to do or suggest is running away after hitting upon winning of the day and then come next day.
Well it's hard to tell when you'll run since most gamblers have an specific amount of winnings for each day so there would be some bad bets happening before that.
I think it better to only gamble what you can afford to lose and once you win then you can gamble it and withdraw what you've deposit or your starting amount.
168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: looking for a list of exchanges that are not crap... on: September 07, 2017, 03:09:51 AM
It depends on what coins you are exchanging for example if you wanna exchange your waves then waves dex would be the most trusted exchange for it and etherdelta for ether since those are the built in exchange for those.
If you wanna exchange almost all the coins out there they I suggest to use bittrex since it's the most trusted and most efficient way to exchange your coin. But not all coins are on bittrex though so you might wanna use other exchange for some altcoin because bittrex only include altcoins that are the best and trusted.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: September 07, 2017, 02:23:57 AM
For me, no. If you are someone that is losing time for anything because of gambling, then that means you have a serious problem and you should consider getting help. Normally I lose time for work and school and family because of one another. Nothing else really. I think if you preoccupy yourself in other things, you can avoid gambling all through out.
I don't think that most people lose time on work and other stuffs for gambling rather most of them lost track of time where to enjoy too much on gambling and made them late for their work or stuffs. But still I don't recommend people to do gambling since it triggers addiction to it where they end up losing what they've earned.
170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is mining and TRADING THE SAME on: September 07, 2017, 01:57:00 AM
Trading may be the best for coin that needs profesional preparation to get it, like Bitcoin.
Trading Bitcoin is the best t get it for common people.

Mining may be better for small value and small resource preparation.

It is different but I like both.
Trading requires an specific amount of investment to start on and just as you've said it requires professional preparations like studying the background and updates about a coin.
Mining is a GPU based way of earning free coins such as bitcoin, litecoin and any other coins that allows us to earn them by mining them but it requires a lot of time and a nice computer build to even start of.
You can do both where you use what you earn on mining to do trading so you can earn faster.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: September 07, 2017, 01:43:46 AM
Honestly, there are so many bitcoin questions from people around me. They feel that bitcoin can not give us an advantage, so they keep asking, especially now that bitcoin news is gaining popularity, so maybe in the future there are still so many questions about bitcoin for new people.
same here whenever I go to take my online salary people use to say and ask questions and when I suggest some of my friends for bitcoin they ask a lot of things about bitcoin because they are new and they need to learn a lot such as my neighbor and family members ask me about bitcoin and I always help them I never refused to explain them about bitcoin and thank God bitcoin is growing very fast.
True. I used to be in financial problems and lucky for me that I can pass thanks to Bitcoin. My relatives are very surprised and they start asking me about Bitcoin. They want me to teach them and guide them how to invest Bitcoin. My friends are also very interested in Bitcoin.
Almost everyone on my facebook account wanted to know on how to earn bitcoin lately ever since I earned almost 1000$ but unlike before that I only earn 50-100$ due to lack of knowledge and the price of bitcoin before.
I can't even answer them since they all wanted to earn money but they don't even know a thing about bitcoin.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: September 07, 2017, 12:57:20 AM
There is no smart way  of gambling and the only smart guy in a gamble are the gambling owners. They lure you more by making you win with a small amount and then making you lose all because of addiction.
You will be lured if you are hungry for the money, the operators will do everything to attract people to play and they will make a profit.
That's what gambling are made for, we play and we pay and at the end of the day they will make profit to continue running their business, we can be considered as smart gambler if we have a limit and we do it effectively, we will lose but that is alright because we can afford it.
Exactly, there is no smart way of gambling since we only end up losing money unto it. Even if we limit ourselves with an especific amount of money to gamble, we will still end up losing it.
So I suggest that the only smart way to gamble is to not gamble at all or rather just stop gambling already.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really A Currency or An Asset? on: September 07, 2017, 12:46:34 AM
Technically bitcoin is a cryptocurrency but bitcoin behaves like an asset and more people buying it as an asset because it believes it will appreciates in the future. Well we cant blame them, because as what we observe...bitcoin continue to rise from the beginning.
In short bitcoin is a currency that has been continuing to rise its value in a certain way can be associated as a asset where people can easily earn money by just holding unto it. It also works to any crytocurrency out such as eth, waves, doge and many more. But bitcoin is most used one so the change of price of is mostly upwards.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: September 06, 2017, 10:51:39 PM
I guess if it will be banned, users from all over the globe would be dismayed by the government's action. It is the only non-taxable earnings that anyone can have. Unlike the salary you receive every month.

It will be a huge mess, every bitcoin users around the world will complain about this, we are not just going to let it to be this way, that bitcoin should be ban. I think the main reason why bitcoin would be ban by the Government is because of its being decentralized, they can't touch it, meaning they can't steal it when they want to corrupt it.
175  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: September 06, 2017, 02:47:13 PM
Bitcoin doesn’t need banks. So, I don’t see any sense in this idea. Maybe we’ll see some local consulting agencies that will help people to get into bitcoin, buy some and other stuff. But it can hardly be called a Bitcoin Bank.

I could say the same, having this web wallets, and hardware wallets is enough for us where we could store our bitcoin, having this bitcoin bank is a little bit risky I think, and for sure, the transaction fee there would be much more high than the transaction fee in the wallet.

So, I'm sure that in case this bitcoin bank will be implemented in the near future, only few people will use it because they still prefer using web wallets and hardware wallets.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and governments on: August 30, 2017, 05:32:41 AM
Hi btkers , discussion about the relationship between governments and cryptocurrencies.
Why don't governments officialise the use of cryptocurrencies .
Can these cryptocurrencies affect countries economy?

Not all of the Governments are not accepting or making bitcoin as their currency, Japan already make bitcoin as their currency, so it is not impossible anymore for the other country to make it happen also. Bitcoin ETF must be approved by the SEC first I think before all of the countries making bitcoin as their official money.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Discourage by our country. on: August 28, 2017, 12:43:51 PM
Why it is that Bitcoin is not accepted in our country (Nigeria)?

It is either of this two, maybe because was banned by your Government for some reason, or maybe because bitcoin is not popular in your country. But as long as you know that sites where you could earn bitcoin, means you could earn bitcoin even though bitcoin was banned in your country and so on. But if you mean by not "accepted" is when you are using it on buying things, it is because your Government is not declaring bitcoin as your currency.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make sure you don't lose money on: August 13, 2017, 01:44:38 PM
in gambling we can't make sure if we cannot lose our money because it's gambling that have 1% House Edge (HE) that might be are enemy in world of gambling, thoughts playing safely in gambling would decrease are  lossing chance hehehe. better to stay away in playing gambling to sure that our money will not lose

There is a way actually, just simply don't gamble if you don't want to lose your money, because there is no such thing like this, that we can't lose our money on gambling. Gambling is all about losing most of the time, so it seems impossible not to lose money on gambling, this house edge is the reason why we are losing most of the time and the reason why a certain gambling site is making a huge bankroll everyday.

So, if you are going to be wise here, and going to realized that gambling is not the one that could make us rich or earn easy money.
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 13, 2017, 11:50:32 AM
There has been incredible demand from institutional investors recently. Who knows how much higher it can go. A year from now this price could well seem cheap

Indeed right, that is why I could say that there is no right time or wrong time when it comes on buying bitcoin, because of its price, which is always fluctuating as always as the demands continuously to grow up because of the bitcoin's value, making people to invest and use bitcoin, even some countries already made bitcoin as their currency, like in Japan.

Since the price is above $4000, that is why I guess, people are hesitating to buy bitcoin because they are waiting for a DUMP, though I can't say that there will be no DUMP that is going to happen since there is always be issue on bitcoin causing its price to DUMP on the market.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: August 09, 2017, 04:09:59 AM
Gambling will always be high risk no matter how low the house edge and people lose money very fast this way and would prefer  investing which is far much better as you are growing your money .If  you do not mind buy your bitcoins and hold and wait for prices to go to the moon

gambling is a very high risk if you want to make it as your source of making money for a living. If you are just playing out of fun and entertainment with the money that you can afford to lose, then by all means do it Smiley

It is truly depends on a person, what you have said was true, but it is not about just having fun, don't you think that it is more fun if you are going to win always, I mean in investing since you are sure that you could get something in return in the allotted time where you could get your profits, unlike in gambling, either you win or lose, you are going to have some fun since it is the reason why you are doing it? I don't think so.
