If someone is using cryptoID blockchain explorer please don't get scared by their info, they have just updated and had to resync the full blockchain, so it will take them a while to be fully functional.
CryptoID is fully updated now, so balances shown are fine now.

Is it just me or are BTC confirmations taking forever today?
Are you sending to cryptsy? Last couple of times I sent some they tool a long while to land... Im putting it down to the lower price of BTC meaning more moving about... No actually, just moving between wallets. I'm sure I had to wait 40 mins for 1 confirmation earlier. Last six block happened in the last 1 hour and 10 minutes, nothing really unusual, but there is one that took 40 min... I guess bad luck. I read a lot about blocks taking longer because their difficulty takes longer to adjust, but I don't see it happening. Probably because most hashing power can't be repurposed and they can still pay the electricity. Must have just been bad timing on my part then ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) That is what happens when you are unfaithful and cheat with other coins ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Ok, this will apparently require a full explorer resynch as it also changed addresses from ancient blocks. Yeap, I see it syncing ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

That intro video to introduce Darkcoin has been discussed many times. I don't really think going viral is an option (the things that we love are extremely boring for most people ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ), but it would be super useful to help explaining things. The problem with this project is that everybody has an opinion and trying to do things by consensus is impossible. If you know people who can do it, I would encourage you to organize it. Ask for help and for donations, make decisions and finish it. People will criticize your result, it doesn't matter how great it is. Don't worry about that, it is human nature. You will have done something useful for Darkcoin and you'll also learn a ton along the way. If someone else wants to do another video, that will also be great. We don't need one video, we need hundreds! "I believe it would be more likely to be shared/viewed/go viral than what we currently have." https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg10204655#msg10204655Looking back, you are right...perhaps viral wasnt the best word to describe what I meant. What I was trying to say, I've seen bitcoin videos being posted on all crypto blogs and also on larger news sites...I feel a darkcoin video made in a similar fashion would likely get the same treatmeant. The bitcoin rush video wont be used by any of the larger publishers (perhaps it was never intended too?). Im not sure if you are part of the darkcoin team, if not, I will wait till I get a nod before doing anything. Thanks for replying and giving me your opinion. I agree that anything would be more viral than what we (don't) have now ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I'm sorry if my previous sounded too harsh, that was not my intention. I'm part of the darkcoin team, you can count with me for any support you need if you finally go ahead with this... except if you go totally crazy with the video, in which case I will not help ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) You can pm me here or at darkcointalk (same username) or send me an email to fernando@darkcoin.io

Wow, I didn't expect everyone to love it, as I know Bitcoin Rush is a strong personality, but this was a bit worse of a reaction than I expected. Everyone agrees, though, that Evan was great, so that's good. I hope more of you will post your honest reactions. I'd like to get a good idea of where we went wrong. I thought it went according to plan, that BTC Rush was presented with all of his personality, etc... just as he normally is, only better, IMO. I'll say this, if you didn't know who he is, and what he does, it can be.... er... weird, LOL. But his friendly, enthusiasticly, quirky presentation style is his biggest asset IMO. Gosh, I'm overwhelmed with the negativity. I thought it was a great show! A controversial choice in host, I can agree, but I think we hit the nail on the head with execution. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Well, I guess we'll have to see if this plays out well, and spreads the word?? You guys clearly put a lot of effort into this and that shows, it's just the bitcoin rush guy is not charismatic at all, he distracts from a simple message which Evan can clearly deliver on his own. Evan has a nice natural charisma and when he says something he comes across as sincere while the other bitcoin rush guy I can barely listen to what he has to say because he's so off-putting in his delivery. I know Evan can't necessarily go face to face for an interview but most tech personalities come off better. Anyways, I got through the video just cause I like Evan. I don’t say too much so hopefully I don’t come across as the guy that only posts and moans. But… I feel we as a community we are letting Evan and the other hard working devs down. The only saving grace is Bitcoin rush did ask some good questions and Evan (as always) comes across well, but it will soon be forgotten about as nobody wants to sit through a 20min video except drk users and perhaps if we are lucky nerds in general. The whole thing screamed amateur, which is obviously a shame because Evan and the dev team are doing some of the most interesting things on BCT. I understand we all want to "help", but when you are clearly out of your depth you are hurting rather than helping. I didn't want to donate to the Bitcoin Rush episode (for many reasons that I wont go into here), but would be willing to donate to a professionally made animated video. I believe it would be more likely to be shared/viewed/go viral than what we currently have. I've made suggestions previously but as I'm not a member of the drk inner circle, I didn’t want to over step any boundaries. I feel I have a good eye for this kind of thing, if I was able to talk with people...i would be more than happy to. I have found lots of very talented people on behance (many have done animations for IBM and Samsung to Bitcoin and Vertcoin). I don’t know how much these people will cost, but if we have a product that we believe to be world class perhaps we should look to market that accordingly. Is this something that would interest the community if we got enough donations? That intro video to introduce Darkcoin has been discussed many times. What would you advise me? I have several hundred LTC and I do not know what to do with them. Will lift you LTC to keep it or to exchange it for DARK? Thanks!
Do you really need advice? GetintotheDRK before LTC drops anymore ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) You will be onboard when we wave bye to LTC in the rear view mirror. You even have a direct LTC/DRK market in CEX.IO. Time to switch horses. Welcome!

TO ALL RUSSIANS AROUND:
Can you do a couple searches to see if there is something weird with any Darkcoin related service? We've had two contact requests in the website in a few hours about people complaining that they have sent DRK to their wallet and it hasn't arrived. They don't provide enough info to dig further and they haven't answered back to my emails yet, but it is unusual. Thanks!
PS: I have been a few days on holiday and missed a few pages, so forgive me if someone has already mentioned about this.
I dont see anything in Rusian speaking news or forums about it. Will dig more Thanks! It is probably nothing, but Paranoid is my middle name.

Im starting to think its only a matter of time till some of the major LTC BTC starts coming this way.. Could get very interesting.
CEX.IO DRK/LTC market has around 10% of DRK volume right now. Things could get very interesting if/when we get listed on a far eastern exchange with high LTC volume. I'm not sure that it depends on that. If people want to sell LTC and buy DRK it is quite easy to send BTC from one exchange to another. It sure would help, but I don't think it depends only on that.

Alex, people will not invest in other than €. They even do not recognice that gold and silver could save their existance in environmet like we have in Greece And sorry, after all the bad experiance i made in cryptoland over the last 14 months i rather would invest in cigaretts and alcohol than in crypto. In cryptoland you cant trust anybody. After mtgox we had mintgox and now again with bitstamp. I lost the last bit confidence in crypto. In the end i lost 5k€ and the last thing i have is one masternode. In terms of fiatvalue i am sure this will also go to zero.
You don't have to trust anyone, that's the whole point of a cryptocurrency, but people trust exchanges with their money, every single one of which is obviously on the take, and thus get burned due to exchange dishonesty and/or exchange incompetence You're right though, neither the Greeks nor anyone else en masse are going to spend their dwindling supply of comedy paper on BTC or DRK when cigarettes and other tangible commodities are a more profitable and certainly less volatile investment. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Cryptocurrencies are a luxury item, useful in a prospering economy, not so much when you're struggling to feed your kids and stop the bank repossessing your home. I agree. Big monetary crisis are useful because people start to realize that paper money is funny money, but nobody in an emergency situation is going to run to an emergent technology that very few people really understand. You can worry about wealth protection when you have wealth, when you are fighting for survival it doesn't make any sense.
