161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bollinger bands on: September 17, 2018, 12:03:21 AM
I am using Bollinger Bands in my trades, but I have only used it for a couple of days,
so I can't say that using it is very effective, so my question is, bollinger bands only use
is providing support and resistance? or is there other ways I can use bollinger bands in my trades?

The upper and lower bands are deviation-based support and resistance. The middle band (on default settings) is the 20-period moving average. After bouncing off support or resistance a couple times, price often returns there.

The main way I use Bollinger Bands is as a volatility indicator. When bands are very tight, price is coiling for a breakout. We call it a "squeeze." During those times, breaking and holding above or below the bands is a sign of a breakout. Some people just use BB width as an indicator for squeezing, and they don't bother with the actual bands.

Squeeze is a very effective sign of breakout

Use it along with other indicators like rsi, rvgi, macd, volumes for confirmations and look for trend lines

BB shouldn't be relied on itself same with other indicators

Treat them as one of your signals and always look for confirmations

162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is worth buying coins under $1? on: September 16, 2018, 02:44:10 PM
Investors must understand that it is not always a good choice to make huge volume of trades on altcoins that are under $1 USD in values, the altcoins might be cheap to purchase but investors should really research the usage of that specific altcoin that they are planning to purchase, as that specific altcoin might become worthless if there is totally zero usage for it and eventually the developer will just give up developing that altcoin.

this is one of the key

will add up listings, check coins in marketcap when its on top lists

checking history of coins, its development status and successes

you will never be lost, and confident to hold them

164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is this excellent strategy to trade on: September 16, 2018, 09:04:49 AM
If you are famous crypto trader or a crypto youtuber with many subscribers or followers maybe it's a good strategy for you, all your followers will buy that crypto because they believe in you that it will mooning.

even a famous crypto trader won't honestly engage on such risk, it may back fired it on his face

the CNBC example as a famous tool for fuds

that everytime they have a call or a prediction to be bull, an opposite always happen Cheesy

An experienced Crypto Trader knows this, if gets F*cked up, followers will leave him worst curse him
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is It Time To Buy Bitcoin? The answer will surprise you on: September 16, 2018, 06:40:13 AM
The question on everyone's mind is when does this bear market end? First you have to understand what is actually causing this move and it is not the bitcoin futures market or whales. It is the USD.

The us dollar is still the world's reserve currency it has been strong in 2018. That is about to end soon.

Learn why Bitcoin is really in a bear and when the bull is coming back,

https://youtu.be/ys6vtXbYCBY

This is new information for me, indeed in 2018 usd is very strong even in my country it is also strengthening, I don't even know if USD can make the cryptocurrency in a bad condition and I think it's because of the issue and some bad news that has caused a decline in demand in the market cryptocurrency.

Its a one way or the other

the main goal is to decline btc price

FUDs, USD reserves, government actions you know what it means

What I had in mind is that, this is a period of adoption, BTC couldn't be ignored anymore

some way of a reset, then a stronger btc coming in
166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best coin for long term investing on: September 16, 2018, 06:36:40 AM
At the moment, I think it's worth trusting only bitcoin, because any token can be omitted, even ETH has been lowered many times. Now is not the best time to enter the crypt, you need to wait for confident growth, and then already buy tokens from the top 10

From the market cap top 10 on crypto coins

Id just prefer the most gain last year 2017

some of them are also the most dipped coins as of the moment, so its upto you taking risk

Setting my confirmations on BTC on Lower low, then will prepare my bags

167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Attractive price for used AMD GPUs on: September 16, 2018, 06:18:59 AM
I'll grab some rx580 8gb for 100 these prices wont last its only a matter of time before prices recover or something new comes along it may take another 6 months but mining profits will come back even if we have to wait out the difficulty to adjust from all the people to shut down and sell their rigs who thought they where going to strike gold mining

LOL! Basically a similiar thing happened locally.

Wanted to pick up more RX 470/570 and chose to lowball a few people when ETH was like $170 USD. I got a guy interested. However we were suppose to meet up yesterday for the transaction, and he doesn't want to sell them anymore.

And he didn't even specify the truth, basically said "Oh, I can give it to my Son instead for games".

ETH goes up a little and everyone becomes a miner again.

Lol.. man being stubborn

oh Well, wait a few more days when eth price dips again

and when that happens , for sure that guy missed an opportunity to let go of his card

btw, I've known a person selling gtx 1070 at 200usd its so tempting

168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic of traders on: September 15, 2018, 04:06:29 PM
Panic usually occurs 2 times, if prices drop and prices skyrocket, I'm sure we have experienced this, so we always panic when we see the market drop or increase significantly.

As per OP, if those people feel hopeless then its far more greater than panic

They don't really understand its market volatility and only sees price rally

now that BTC price is at 6K level, some are hopeless and selling coins

but wise people buy the dips, and if still goes down, another opportunity to buy

169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: it is a sad news,lyra2v2 ASIC is coming on: September 15, 2018, 09:18:36 AM
Then another forks comes to change algo in 6 months

additional door stoppers spotted Cheesy

Seeing like a Cryptonight algo scenario
170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or mining? on: September 15, 2018, 09:03:12 AM
If you're thinking of mining, it's simple you just need to consider your local electricity fee, mining software, etc.
On the other hand, trading is more complicated, you need to learn many things and should master analysis, specially
if you're into shorter-term trades.

Mining is not that simple dude

I would say mining has a requirement, at least you are tech savvy person and understands how peripherals work you can do mining

even at ASIC machine that is supposedly a plug and mine thing isn't exempted on this

mining Diff, pools, luck, shares, networks, security/safety, location, money

with a never ending maintenance

now tell me how simple is that
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Easiest Crypto to Mine of 2018 on: September 15, 2018, 04:25:30 AM
I’ve attempted to mine a dozen or so different coins so far in 2018 and all of them have required for me to either disable antivirus or to mess around with the CMD prompts.

LOL  Grin

The easiest and newb friendly miner i've known so far is nicehash

you dont have to mess with cmd's

however I'd rather endorse and interested in a miner with a much hash speed and stability over UI's
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1.4G - 1000w - ASIC (Ethash) on: September 15, 2018, 03:51:26 AM
They will take multiple orders for months and ETH will fork in feb 28

feb 28? good for 9 years then lol.

Worst is that even at 9 months, it would probably going bad

once forked happens, additional door stoppers will likely expected

Whatever price of these miners is, I would probably buy coins instead of machine on these days

173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I stop trading in this bear market? on: September 15, 2018, 03:17:42 AM
Trading is like an addiction, but this bear market seems will be very long. Bitcoin is going to under 6k USD, ETH is now 262 USD, Almost 80% coin fell down. I can't make profits at this moment in trading, Because after getting a little bit of profit, the market again goes under, then another coin eats my profit too. What should I do now?

If you're not getting profits, then stop. I'm pretty sure most people are at a loss if they bought when Bitcoin was over $6900+ last year. However, I'm trading alt coins as well as doing exchange arbitrage and racking in profits in terms of BTC and ETH, rather than USD. As long as I'm increasing my BTC holdings, I don't consider it a loss because I believe in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in the long term.

You can always average buy your way in as well. That way you don't lose as much when there's a dip in the market.

what do you mean stop?

Sell those coins and turn away with cryptos?

Dude, as long as you don't sell anything you arent losing any coins yet

what I could suggest is that leave those purchased coins alone if you aren't confident to do day trading

Learn how to day trade and reading charts, don't buy on resistance and don't sell on support

174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: September 15, 2018, 03:04:59 AM

It depends though on what the OP is classifying as tired of trading. Usually, if this is a spot where your revenue comes from and what you do daily, I do not see any way one would have to be tired of such. Normally, you can get tired after a long day job, but that is the idea of unwinding to be able to clear your head and most of the time, when I feel I have worked so hard enough and made enough money, I tend to go on vacations to at least give myself a treat, relax enough and hit back with freshness.

He is definitely tired of losing from trade and ICO purchases

stress handling for such experiences

Seeking for a way to get moving despite of many loses

What I usually do is look at successful traders from which I'd follow from social media

Their loses is no compare from the loses I have

What they always say is that, keep going, pause awhile think those mistakes, and move on
175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price bubbled? on: September 14, 2018, 12:14:48 AM
When can you say the price of bitcoin is already or nearly bubble?

Do you expect that the price will dump in coming years?

Edit: On this year how is the bitcoin value soaring ... What I mean is how fast....
for me,if the price of BTC goes below $3,000-$3,500 i would consider this one a bubble..i would pull out all my money and never gonna buy bitcoin again..buying something like bitcoin needs trust to the community and i think if it hits below my trust price i can consider bitcoin market a manipulated one and the demand for it is just fake that is only created by the hype..but for now, until BTC stays above my trust price i still beleive that BTC is the golden treasure of all digital money.

Edit: Though not possible like a dream that would go down beyond 3500$

But just in case it would, I will do reverse thing with you, I'll put in my money with it

Its already in adoption era, when manipulators will pull this down, its a great opportunity to buy
176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buy fast and sell fast on: September 13, 2018, 01:12:07 PM
this strategy is really beautiful and good enough to reduce the risk of loss, but to do a quick buy and sell quickly you have to think back with the market tax don't forget the market tax,
Yes that is true, if you have large capital, it is advisable to trade quickly. because buying fast and selling fast is very profitable if you have large capital. but it's also very risky. so utilizing a moment is the key to success in trading.
But i think most of the people here do not prefer that strategy because of the high volatility of the crypto coin that they want to trade. The price today might be very different for tomorrow's price so since traders aim for a huge profit, they should see to it that the price when they will sell the coin is much bigger than the price they had bought it.

If you do that kind of trade more often, Its what you called a scalping

its more risky than swing trades

Doing a lot of trades in a day has more room for errors

however if you get used to it, and knows what you're doing its very profitable
177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be discouraged! Keep holding. on: September 13, 2018, 07:20:01 AM
well. I also hope this market increase soon. And we can recover our losses.

It will probably recover, however it may or may not as soon as expected

better to prepare for it

It it goes another leg dive downwards

prepare for another bags, if it rallies, time to celebrate

that's how crypto life nowadays
178  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or not? on: September 13, 2018, 07:11:10 AM
If you want to make a profit you want to have the opportunity to get rich then you should engage in trading transactions that will give you many opportunities for you to become rich and become successful trader.

Careful on this bud, getting rich on trading is not as easy money scheme

It takes a lot of learning, time, knowledge and probably losses before you get there

I'd seen some folks leaves trading bare handed

However persistence is one of the key to achieved the "getting rich statements"

179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Calculators!!! on: September 13, 2018, 05:06:22 AM
Thanks everyone for the wisdom. I appreciate it very much so. It looks like everyone's got a closet full of paper weights given the current mining situation unless you have something like, 5 cent kw/h. (Even we both know you're barely scraping by.)

Especially given that most of the time the mining calculators are a very liberal estimate it looks we're all out of luck unless you're an early herd ASIC miner.

I wanted to ask one other question regarding the MAJOR profit gaps between say, "WhatToMine" and "Crypt0 Zone". Can someone speak to why they numbers are almost nearly a double estimate. I just used a single 1070ti @ 0.12 kW/h as a base line. WhatToMine isn't even taking into account Pool Fee's and is still basically HALF the estimates on Crypt0 Zone.

The take away from this is, if you want to feel good about those GPU's you just bought. I guess go look at the false cryt0 Zoone estimates?

^ (This is just me poking fun at the differences, please educate me if i'm missing something obvious.).

Thanks for reading.

Boston

been checked results on both calculators

they are referring to a different coins as the most profitable

make sense that cryptozone results much have a higher profit estimates due to listed coins probability compared to whattomine

180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wish I dump all the BTC in late DEC 2017 on: September 13, 2018, 12:09:40 AM
unfourtunately I am also in the same position and regret all the time that I haven`t dumped all my coins in December, now I am in loss of 10x compared to that period and I am starting to think that another bull won`t come too early.

If you compare your buying price with latest price then if you are early adopter then still you are in profit and should not regret of not selling in high as still you are in loss. Think about users who bought in high and now they are buying more to average their buying price. Market always move but it takes time and investors should be patience and reap profit at correct time.

As long as you are not selling those coins at a loss

you will never call it a loss

If your investment is not as like you need it immediately, then I guess its fine and let it them sleep for the meantime

but of course, we are talking about Decent coins here, some sh*tty coins will surely hardly recover when crypto rallies again
