161  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be wealthy you need action on: May 16, 2024, 09:38:58 PM
Success in life does not come by chance but through hard work and action people realize it. To get rich you have to move forward based on your own skills positive thinking people only succeed in the long run. So if you want to be rich then add positive thinking to your mindset. Get rid of negativity there is no substitute for doing the right thing at the right time in this case if you want to be rich you have to get rid of laziness. laziness has destroyed many people's talents it devalues human creativity and performance and hinders success.
Getting rich has definitely its own process. If you don’t go out from your comfort zone and take the risk and accept the challenge to get rich, you will never end up reaching that position. Success is achieved through various efforts and hardwork, not by simply sitting while waiting when you will hit success and get rich eventually. If you want to get rich, save and invest now even with the little amount you have, don’t miss these opportunities to get rich because you are busy working to increase your financial savings.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proven many times holders won't regret on: May 16, 2024, 02:12:03 PM
If a person invests in Bitcoin for the long term; he will surely get a huge return on investment. Over the years we have seen that the market has ultimately bounced back and touched new heights. Let's say a person bought Bitcoin in 2014 and now after 10 years you can easily calculate the ROI. Long-term holders do not panic from price correction because they know, just like the stock market, if the price dips, it will surely regain its initial value in due time.
Holding is not an easy thing to do, you have to calculate all the pros and cons before diving in. If a person is patient enough, he can make a fortune for his BTC / crypto investment.
Lucky are those who invested in bitcoin when the price is still very cheap and hold their coins up to the present because surely, huge profits await for them. But it does not mean that those who plan to invest and hold at the moment will not gonna make it big just like the early investors. There’s no late when it comes to bitcoin as opportunities are limitless, so if you can maximize your investment now while bitcoin price is not too high, then you will also be highly capable to make it big with bitcoin in the future. Long term hodling is the key.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 16, 2024, 01:34:34 PM
So we have the game 6 tomorrow between the Nuggets and Wolves.

Who among us here still believe that the Wolves could bring the series to Nuggets? Personally, I find it almost impossible for the Wolves to win after Jokic torture the defensive player in game 5, and judging on the outcome of the last 3 games, Wolves IMO has no chance of winning.

game 3 112 - 97
game 4 115 - 107
game 5 117 - 90

Game 4 was the closest but it was already controlled by the Denver.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 16, 2024, 12:00:22 PM
And imagine the trash talking of Tank Davis and not respecting Loma at all.

That would motivate Loma more, of course he can do that because that's part of marketing, he sell the fight and both are happy with the paycheck. Based on the current ranking now, it's Tank Davis who is above Loma, so most likely the betting odds will favorr Tank Davis as the heavy favorite, and that means we all who believe in Loma here will be happy betting on Loma.

Tank hasn't fought a tough challenger after beating Ryan, I think this time he needs to consider Loma which is a real threat to him.
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I get into trading on: May 16, 2024, 10:54:03 AM
As someone who’s new to this space and wants to start trading, what are the steps I can take to start and how much of fund do I need to start?.
What wallet is best for me? Can I use meta trader?
Starting one way or another is the most important part. Some say get a mentor, some say learn from youtube, some say learn from reading books, some say learn from doing it, there will be a lot of ways that people will suggest, and most of them are free so just do all of them if you can but the most important thing is to be 100% in it mentally.

A lot of people can be 100% in it financially without being in it mentally, you need to realize that you are going to make some money from this and if you can't do that then there is no reason to keep doing it. I believe that it would be quite tough if we ignore that, and we should just make sure that we are all in. If we can be mentally involved then we would be able to slowly get better and better.
The only difficult in learning trading is only at the beginning as you have to explore a lot of possibilities so you can maximize your learning process. After that, when you think you are knowledgeable enough, then start to engage in real trading even with only a small amount. Don’t expect to gain profits immediately as it would be impossible for beginner traders. But instead, everytime you lose, make it as your bigger motivation to learn and improve more. If you do it consistently, things will definitely turn good in the long run.

Note that successful traders today have their fair share of losses and mistakes when they were starting  but instead of getting discouraged and scared, they use it as their motivation to learn more in trading until they become excellent traders in the market.
166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People are interesting talking more about their success stories. on: May 15, 2024, 09:58:11 PM
Of course, one wouldn’t reach the peak of success without enduring hardships and failures at first. I think that’s a common sense. But if your point is to let everyone know their losses and failures first before they have reached their current position now, I think that would certainly take a lot of time reading.

But I suggest you try to experience it all alone, that way you will also encounter all by yourself some failures and losses that those successful people have endured way back then.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 15, 2024, 08:59:25 PM
I feel like if I do it, I'd get drained doing what I love, I think that there's a fine line between money making and passion project and there's lines that you don't want to cross. I personally don't want my passion in art to be a job but I do accept commissions, I still don't see why I should be doing it full time, I'm having fun and I'm getting paid with what I deserve and I don't get burned out which is the best thing plus I'm not going to get exchange that for anything in this world, maybe at a certain price but I don't want to risk hating what I love to do because I decided to milk it for money.
Well, I guess you won’t get drained if you get satisfaction from your passion. If you love what you’re doing, then I see no risks and issues with it if you make it as your source of living. Although I’m not saying to leave your job and stick to your passion, but if you can make your passion turn into a side hustle, I guess that would be more fulfilling and satisfying on your part. You get the chance to enhance your passion and show to the world, plus you get paid for it, for me that creates bigger motivation on my part.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I returned my father's property to my father through Bitcoin investment. on: May 15, 2024, 02:31:53 PM
Investing in Bitcoin always feels different from investing in other types of coins. At a price of $30k you buy Bitcoin and sell it at a price of $70k, you have made a big profit. Why someone needs to have Bitcoin as an investment asset, in my opinion, one of them is an incident like what you experienced.
It is not uncommon for Bitcoin investors to earn huge returns when the price of Bitcoin soars higher than the purchase price rather than piling money into other coins.

What can be taken from your story, whether it is fictional or not, is that you are a lucky person. If at this time you continue to buy Bitcoin and hold it, you will have better luck when bullish.
I cannot tell exactly that OP is lucky because he invested a lot of patience understanding the price volatility of bitcoin, and trusted bitcoin despite of its uncertainty, and now he is only reaping what he sow months ago. His investment has paid off and give him massive profits in the end. So it’s not actually luck, since he work on it to make his investment come into fruition.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 15, 2024, 01:52:03 PM
45-59 ROS> This is a win for the ROS I guess.  Just like in game 2, Oftana is still limited, so I guess ROS will likely win here.

Don't count them out yet, we still have the 2nd half. I think TNT will not go down without a fight, if there's a chance take the TNT handicap as they might come back and cover the handicap even if they loss the game. 3 point shooting was very bad for TNT, they are only 2-14, and since that is their main weapon, if the struggle continues, they'll loss.

Yeah you are right, they really didn't give up and made a big run in the 4th quarter, even bring down the lead to 1 point only but when Pogoy, the TNT have struggled on their offense. It was game full of thrill because the comeback is possible to be completed, but ROS were able to prevent that from happening and beat the TNT by 1 point only.

Final score 110-109/

Kelly Williams 32 points for TNT

Mamuyac 25 points for ROS
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 15, 2024, 12:59:27 PM
Right, 3 straight wins now, it feels like they are going to make a sweep (technically though it is not considered, but winning 4 straight games after a losing the first 2 in your homecourt, tells something about the character of the Nuggets).

Now, the Nuggets have gotten the hang of it, and it looks like they are going to win this series. Honestly, I expected more from the Wolves since they started this series well. However, it seems like they are very dependent on how Edwards performs, and the result of this game is a good example of that because his performance in this game was mediocre due to poor shooting percentage.

There's no more chance for the Wolves as it's 3 straight games that they are not as competitive as they were in game 1 and 2. Wolves offense are nowhere to be found because they don't have a PG that makes their ball rotation better, without Conley, this is over, so if they want to even the series, Conley has to play in game 6.

ANT had the lowest output in the series with 18 points, and based on my observation, Minny now is quite hesitant to shoot the ball, they slowly loss their confidence.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED on: May 14, 2024, 09:53:27 PM
TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED
Crypto trading and unemployment are two different problems, where someone is an expert and understands crypto trading, of course this activity can become a job that makes him a lot of money every day, that's for sure, but it applies to those who are experts in that field/trade.

On the other hand, for those who do not understand trading at all, they only know, they have never studied, they immediately want to trade, If that happens, I'm sure that trading could result in unemployment and disaster for him, the understanding of these two factors depends on how they do it.
Well, as long as trading provides opportunities to gain profits, that will be considered a job that offers an income. You will exert time and efforts for you to succeed and be able to gain an income. However, if you jump into trading without learning and understanding its nature first, it will never be a job to consider. Although it might be an attempt to gain profits, but the process might only turn into a failure, and probably end up like gambling.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is it right to invest in Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2024, 09:21:56 PM
Investing in bitcoin is not something you can just start doing, proper knowledge and planning is needed. Knowing that it is best invested as a short term for beginners like me and long term for experience investors so as to make profit. As an investor, one need to have other means of earnings in other not to stagger when unforeseen occurrences comes like in the bear market(period when bitcoin price falls). Knowing all of these, my questions are:
-When is it the right time to invest in bitcon?
-How can one start planning?
-How do you follow up your bitcoin investment and other businesses?
-What are the assurance that you are ready?
You don't need to be a bitcoin expert in order to buy and store them properly, you just need to do a little homework and then, if you want, you can keep studying and understanding bitcoin more and more. Many users on this forum, including myself, know the basic stuff about bitcoin but not everybody is interested in knowing every single aspect. If you want to be an expert before buying then you'll probably miss out a lot of opportunities.
Right. Knowing even the basic is fine, as long as you continue to study and learn everyday once you start to invest in bitcoin. The important thing is, you know what you are doing and you have certain goal to achieve, that way you will stick to your goal by investing and hodling, and by not being easily tempted to sell when price crash or correction appears. Invest bitcoin in a calm and patient mind, that way you will achieve your goal and won’t end up investing at a loss.

Both series look to be going 6/7 games as both teams down 2-0 took game 3.  Always like a good full series instead of a boring blowout but as a knicks fan would have been nice to steal one last night.  If OG doesn't come back it's going to be tough for them to pull this series out they just don't have enough healthy bodies.  Hole dudes hamstring comes through but those usually take weeks so im not holding my breath.  Onto game 4!
Knicks are still fighting and almost have that win in the end, so game 4 is still not safe for the home team as the Knicks are just very close to them. it's given that OG are not gonna play, Knicks are undermanned but they played like they are complete, so I think Pacers aren't really a championship team or capable of beating the Knicks, because even if they'll win game 4, back at New York, it's a very tough environment for them.

Yeah, It’s a very close match and I think Knicks can get that W if they didn’t run out of steam on the 4th quarter probably because they are already too exhausted on the 3rd quarter which they made most of there significant run on this match.

I’m surprised that Knicks still managed to give a good run even with incomplete line-up due to Donte stepping up with enough play time. You’re right that Pacers will be having a hard time when the home court shift and OG came back.

Both match today is so intense on earlier quarters but the last quarter becomes low energy.

Donte  proved to be clutch, he does not shy in an important occasion as they almost get a win on this if not for that deep 3 point shoot from the Pacers to give them a 3 point lead, but overall the Knicks have been playing good basketball. Now, I can say that the Warriors wasted the talent of Donte , they could have use him for their lack of consistent 3 point shooters.

What are the main points of gambling?
However it actually depends on the gambler who is gambling, one can not spake in behalf of other gamblers because there are different levels of gamblers inside and outside the gamble industr6.We have the middle class gamblers, poor gamblers, and the rich gamblers, so I think it's a question that everyone who's gambling should answer for him/her self. To me I gamble to make money but at the same time I also gamble with care so I don't get addicted or lose what I can not afford.
I guess gambling should only be made for fun. Regardless of life’s status, it should never be a source of income even if you don’t have a stable one, otherwise you will risk your funds into losing them all as there’s no guarantee that gambling will double or triple your capital. Although it’s nature for us to gamble for fun and to make more money, but if you are a responsible one, you should not use gambling to earn more money, but look for a real job instead since earning in gambling is only a bonus if it happens that you gamble out of luck.

let's admit it it's not so easy to walk away especially if you have been winning, everyone gets greedy at some point.

I can relate on the opposite side. For me, it's easy to walk away when I'm winning but when I'm losing, I don't want to walk away, I'll continue to gamble until I'll be able to win by my losses. I'm kinda challenge when I lose, and I felt that if I give up when I still have something to gambling, it will not make me improve in the long run.  Honestly, I've done a lot of mistakes in the past, including this one but I am so greedy that I could not accept my losses, so I continue to gamble and bet all I have and only walk out when  I have nothing left, after all, that money is intended for gambling.

Oops...SMB loss to the DYIP by double digit, that's unbelievable...Now the next game will already be a do or die game for both teams. I'm surprise with the outcome, although I didn't watch the game but I was monitoring the score and see that DYIP was leading big time in every quarter, no quarter that SMB have won, and that's just amazing from a team that was rumored as a farm team.

But now we have the 2nd game, As expected, this is a close match up although Ginebra is already leading by 9 points, but I'm seeing this to be a close one as I believe Magnolia are not gonna give up easily.
178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a newbie make investment before learning? on: May 10, 2024, 09:58:13 PM
You can but the rate of chance of getting scammed is high. And you will lose all your hard-earned money in just a blink of an eye, something that happens to all of those who rush to invest without doing proper research and studies first. That is why as much as possible, take your time in studying your investment first and all its risks involved. You will soon to invest, but at least by that time, you are already sure to yourself that you won’t get scammed throughout the process.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accumulating Bitcoin or trading Bitcoin which is more wise to do. on: May 10, 2024, 09:13:24 PM
Bitcoin isnt playing around; it wants to change the way money and power work for good. Keeping Bitcoin is the smart move for the long run. Take a look at the early birds; they're sitting pretty. That "Wow" moment when you understand what this thing can turn into. However, smart money knows all the ways to play it. Its not a bad thing to trade Bitcoin, folks. Its about getting a handle on this crazy, wild market and using that energy to make money. When you make more money, you get more Bitcoin. You're not just sitting there and hope that it goes up. As the price changes, you use them to add to your stack. Thats way ahead of the game in this new money world.
In short, keeping bitcoin like 5-10 years will always be highly profitable, and trading at your own risk isn’t bad at all. That way, at least you have some stored bitcoin that you can benefit for a brighter future, and if you have developed skills and proven strategies that may work in trading, you can also spare some time in trading because that could also be your asset in making more money aside from hodling bitcoins alone.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 10, 2024, 03:07:56 PM
The first half was quite a competitive match, however, the 2nd half especially the 4th quarter was different as TNT exploded which resulted to a blowout win.

Usually the first half was competitive but the good team always played well in the 2nd half where it's a winning time for them. I didn't watch the game but judging on the statistics, it was the TNT's great shooting night that gave them this win. Based on the stats, they shoot at 51% overall, that percentage is a winning percentage if the other team falls below to it, and in this game, the ROS shoots only 39%.

Well, this series is not over yet, maybe next time they'll pay attention to their defense as that's what killed them in this game.

one thing I noticed also, when Oftana is leading the team, they'll likely win, here he had 32 points and shoots 5-9 from beyond the arc.
