161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 03, 2024, 02:26:27 PM
But I still think that Denver with their experience will be enough to win the series for them. In crunch time, they will used their IQ and not sure how ANT can be in those crucial minutes of the game and I'm seeing him not able to response if they need to score big, in my opinion.

True that, if the game is tight, it does matter a lot. I've seen some games where OKC beat the Timberwolves, and I don't even see the young OKC would last in the playoffs. Well we know that they swept the Pelicans but that was because Zion was out due to injury, if he was playing the series will not end that fast. And OKC, they need to beat the Dallas first provided Dallas will finish the Clippers tomorrow, so I'm seeing that Jokic and his friend Luka will meet in the WCF.

Match up matters a lot, if OKC could beat the Timberwolves, then it's probably a different story for Nuggets. What I'm sure here is that the Nuggets are a different team than the Phoenix Suns that was swept by the Timberwolves as that's where they were hype. I'm sure you guys could not wait to witness the game 1, but give them  some rest, bodies needs to heal because they played so hard to be in the 2nd round.

We have different predictions here but the betting odds is the solid basis on how the public sees this series, and AFAIK, Nuggets are favored to win, maybe because they are the defending champion, so if you guys see Timberwolves are gonna upset the defending champion, then you should not waste this opportunity, take it while the series has not started yet.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 03, 2024, 01:43:17 PM
Games resumes today, and we have two games as usual.

4:30 PM
Magnolia vs DYIP

7:30 PM
NLEX vs Rain or shine.

It's parlay time for me, I think Magnolia is gonna win easily, not expecting a TNT vs converge scenario and I like NLEX to pair with my parlay as they are on a 3 losing streak, they need to break that so they won't continue to slide down.

You hit the first one but the 2nd it doesn't look like it will be in your favor. NLEX struggle continues, the first half is over but they are down 19 points now. This team is not known to be good in coming back from huge deficit, so I really don't think they'll gonna come back and win. Anyway, there's still 2 quarters, anything is possible but let's be real, chances are very low.

That's very disappointing, NLEX didn't even came to play. I was expecting they'll give their best as it's a must win game for them so they'll not drop in the ranking, but they played they played another bad game, like how they played versus the Phoenix. The hype is over for this team, although Bollick could score 38 points in this game but if that will result to a blowout loss, it's still useless.

NLEX only have 2 players with double digit scoring while ROS had 6, it means they are helping as a team to win unlike the NLEX where the offense are pretty much focus on Bollick, and this is what we get.

164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: May 02, 2024, 09:56:02 PM
Since the price is seeing new lows after the all time high and this is just the start of a month, there is panic selling happening with the dumping and making it seem its all going bad. This is nothing new and it will happen in every bear run.

You cant stop people from saying bad and from dumping their coins at a loss during such periods. Our target is to increase our stash of coins and hence we have to buy at the low when the dropping rate aka deceleration reduces, so you will be buying at a discount from the weak hands.

Let the prices fall, make money from prediction games predicting these losses and dont fret, because cycles are the normal thing in crypto. Cool
Let these people sell and eventually learn a lesson from it. For me, it’s not bad to sell your coins as long as you know already that you’ll end up at a loss. But as long as you’ll learn from your loss, that will matter the most.

Post halving events are certainly testing our patience a lot most particularly for beginners. And even if you fall from it, that’s still fine as long you will not repeat doing the same mistake again the next time you invest and hold for long term.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the dip in crypto, when are we expecting ath? on: May 02, 2024, 08:58:50 PM
Im expectinng ATH inn 2025 actually, not this year.
It will hopefully be my last crypto season and I plan to invest less after I quit crypto as much as I can.
I am guessing you are referring to bitcoin, if so, then yes the next ATH might be next year, though it could still happen this year, just as we were not expecting bitcoin to set a new ATH before the halving, but it did, the spot ETF's being the difference. That being said, it looks like you are ready to sell all your bitcoins in the next pump to ATH, i wouldn't do that if i were you, you might prolly regret that you do not own bitcoins sometime in the future.
I might also agree that the next ATH might possibly be early next year, as it’s still far to be realized this year. So there’s no point of rushing to make profits if you think that won’t be highly possible this year. Just stay patient instead and learn to manage your emotions just like how you should manage the volatility of bitcoin. We all know that bitcoin investment is a profitable one, but the problem is we cannot be certain as to when we are going to reap our profits, so just be patient instead.
166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there strategy to make profit daily future trade on: May 02, 2024, 03:13:50 PM
Trading signals. More like Trap signals. Cheesy

I don't use those kinds of services because almost everybody here in the forum knows that it's just a scam. Not a scheme, a scam! Be sure to understand that.
So, if you are saying you are making daily profits because of them, I will really doubt the legitimacy of it. Just like the others did in the posts above.
There are other ways to be a successful trader and since you talk like that, I bet you have the idea about it. It may be long term but profit is still profit rather than risking your money and spending registry fees in the damn signal group. I would avoid them if I were you. Or is this also a trap to make members ask what signals you are using?
I doubt if some will ask here what signals OP is using since majority of us here are already aware that trading signals won’t never work in the long run. And those who claim that they follow trading signals that made them to experience daily profits, that’s a big lie for sure. They’re obviously trying to put us in their own traps.

My point here is don’t settle in futures trading if you only rely in trading signals. That will only drag you to a huge loss. Instead, go for the less risky one, and just decide to risk in futures trading if you trade on your funds you don’t mind of losing.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 02, 2024, 02:03:17 PM
Yes, I also would like to think the Inoue can at least go as close to Manny when going up in weight. But it seems their strategy is very different. Inoue want's to unify belts and then defend it. But in Manny's case, as far as I know, he will go up in weight class immediately except maybe in the 135 lbs and fight the next easiest or weakest champion that they can find. A very intelligent and careful match making by Bob Arum. And maybe another comparison is that both are under Uncle Bob and so he knows and have the blue print already. But Inoue chooses not to do that at this point and may want to stay at 122 lbs for the time being and clean up the division.
Manny always aim in going up, he could be more than 8th division champion if he didn't skip a division. We can compare him to Manny and that could inspire him but we should not expect too much from Inoue as he seemed to be taking it slowly and doesn't want take an aggressive action about moving up in weight class. That time will definitely come, so let's just be patient and let's focus more on Inoue's upcoming fight and we can again discuss after the game is over.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 02, 2024, 01:00:06 PM

This game, they attempted 39 and made 13 only, while the converge had only 24 attempts and made 11 of those. With that loss, they are now at rank 6 with 5-5 record while the SMB is still at the top with 10-0 record.

I ask my friend who were able to bet on that game, he said that Converge was +25.5 before the game, imagine that, so that's really a huge upset. Bookies were wrong in this, Converge was even dictating the game as they were leading most of the time and until the end they didn't allow the TNT to comeback.

So what was the moneyline in that game? That was an easy win for the spread that high, but if someone bet on the moneyline, a big payout will be enjoyed. I like how SMB are playing now, they seemed to be unbeatable and they have been dominating teams, sometimes they don't start srong but suddenly even in just one quarter, they can lead a double digit and they'll be hard to catch up .

Quote
TNT is still going to be in the playoffs but they are not the same team anymore, they really miss the service of Williams because they don't have a consistent scorer that could also play like a mid range game and could play some good defense as well. I'm not saying they'll sign Williams because it does look impossible, but they can find a player like him.

At their ranking, yes.. However, they are so vulnerable and I'm afraid they'll be eliminated in the early rounds. Jayson Castro is not the same anymore, he can still play but he is already old and cannot put numbers he usually does easily.
169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivated you to join the forum? on: May 01, 2024, 10:00:00 PM
I got interested in Bitcoin to such an extend in early 2011 that I also GPU-mined more than one Bitcoin that I set as a goal for me. I likely visited this forum back then as a guest to dig for information or answers to questions I had.

My first account was registered back in 2013 but this account got locked due to a forum hack and I missed the period to reset my account's password due to inactivity and temporary lack of interest for all around Bitcoin. (Don't care about altcoins or shitcoins in particular.)

I didn't want to jump over all hoops to reactivate my former accountnot clinging to it and thus registered my current one in March 2021. Regarding the journey from 2011 to 2021 and to present, I'll pay more attention to my current account and made sure to stake necessary data to prove ownership of my account if need arises.

My main goal of participation in this forum is to broaden my knowledge about Bitcoin in particular and crypto coins in general and associated topics of security, self-custody and whatnot. I felt humbled when I was invited to participate in a signature campaign and accepted this new challenge for me. I remember old days when some signatures like those of Chipmixer were seen virtually attached to every post, me being kind of annoyed by that somewhat (perhaps I was a bit envious). The head is round so that opinions can change direction.  Grin
Same with mine. I want to be knowledgeable about bitcoin and the crypto space, which leads me to join the forum so I’ll be able to expose to the forum and get involved in it. And when I have acquired sufficient amount of knowledge and experience, that’s when I realized that there are a lot of earning opportunities you can gain from the forum. Aside from investing and trading alone, you can also learn to develop and enhance your crypto skills so you can land a side job that will pay you a high compensation.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest in Bitcoin because others are investing in Bitcoin on: May 01, 2024, 09:32:46 PM
Well said. Prior research need to be done before investing your hard earn money into any financial asset. Following the Media, or crowd and getting involved  into investing in Bitcoin or whatever, like many have done and  regretting now due to loses and mistakes made. This is a clear guide of what everyone should take not of and ensure you understand what you want to get invest in and not from a standpoint of baits (beliefs, quick profits, friends, family) but from a stance of Readiness.
Exactly. Do not be influenced by the crowd or social media but have your own decision towards your certain investment. Know what to invest after you have done an extensive research, and not become blinded by what the people around saying and just go with the flow. Investing is never easy but risky, so you have to be more   cautious on what and when to invest, so you won’t end up getting scammed because you are investing without knowing.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 01, 2024, 01:01:57 PM
SMB continued their hot winning streak. Another win by beating the Blackwater. Next game will be between TNT vs Converge, this should be a sure win by TNT as Converge is still 0 in this conference so far. I'm just betting on the team total, it's 114.5 for TNT as I think Converge defense are not gonna work for TNT and TNT are now very confident with their outside shooting. Good luck to bettors like me as well.

It doesn't look like a sure win so far, Converge is still leading in the game, they are on the 3rd quarter now and converge have a 5 point lead. And converge is not "still 0" in this conference as they already have 1 win versus the Meralco Bolts, that's a strong team so I believe they can compete with TNT now.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 01, 2024, 11:29:42 AM
I think they never got an issue with these since both of guys are really doing well. Lets not forget that its not all about them since they have perfect roster that works together on both ends. Lets also not forget that Porter contributes a lot in terms on points since he shoot so well and give a lot of numbers to give Nuggets a championship. Also with Gordon which also gives a lot of contribution since the guy can score if needed and can defend well. Plus also the other players which perform there roles so well. So its a total team effort for Nuggets that's why they became a champion and Jokic got a lot more better contribution that's why he got that MVP which he truly deserve that recognition.

Nuggets became more better when Murray is back on the rotation before and that's how they compliment together as a team also make Nuggets dangerous since they have a lot of guy that they can trust on offense and defense.

They developed the chemistry and it take them years to do that, with the same coach of course. So although Jokic was the only one recognized as one of the best players in the NBA, they can't forget about Murray because this guy is underrated and he can explode in the playoffs. Nuggets is really hard to beat because they are sharing the ball very well, they have great outside shooters and good interior defense as well.

Gordon is not an explosive scorer but his defense is very impressive, he can defend anyone, can even give Lebron a problem which is a legend, how much more a player with skills below Lebron.
173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest To Learning First on: May 01, 2024, 10:20:56 AM
Investing will never be risk free and finding 100% sure investments is pretty unlikely. But it does not mean that all investment opportunities are sketchy. Actually if you look and study carefully, you can find low risk investments that are established and very good for investments. Then as you learn more about how the market works, you can start learning about taking on high risk investments that might give you bigger rewards.

It's really important to figure out how much an asset is worth and look at its history before you invest in it. This can give you a good idea of what might happen in the future. Also, getting help from outside experts, like consultants, can be really useful. They can help you make smart decisions, save money, and understand how to invest better.
But there are consultants that you need to be careful of, they're there to suggest to you what to buy because they only care for themselves.
And that's what you need to find for as well. Their main purpose is to shill the projects that they are in so that they'd also benefit from it. So, investing to learning is a must and you don't have to be spoon fed by anybody and you won't get fooled by whoever thinks that you're beneficial to them.
Reality is, there are more fake ones compared to those who are really knowledgeable and well-experienced about cryptocurrency or any other potential assets. This is why we need to be more cautious on trusting some consultants and don’t jump on believing everything they say. It’s still a lot better and wiser to gain your own research and studies so that you will be highly responsible on your own investment. They say your money, your rules, and your responsibility as well to provide a positive outcome of your own investment.
174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: April 30, 2024, 09:33:20 PM
Hi guys, I want to ask some tips on getting some merits. I somehow feel jealous when I see other full members having tons of it even if they're just new to the forum. I know that there are some ways to earn it like being active in your local board, engaging in the gambling threads talking about particular sports, create an informational thread, or have some deep knowledge about bitcoin's technical like block size, hash rate, etc. And that's my concern, I am not good with any of those stuffs. I am not a sports enthusiasts nor good in bitcoin technical. Our local board is not that active also compared to others where I see some members' their main merit source.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking my time to read my post. Cheers!  Smiley
From what I can see, you have been in the forum since 2017 and the last time you login to the forum was 2023 which shows that you are not an active and regular person in the the forum.  You will have to be regular in the forum for you to keep getting merits. If you have been active since when you write this post, it would have been quite okay and people would have seen the need to give you merits. You are not active and you are not in any signature campaign, it could be difficult for you to get merits since you don't write nor try to make good post that would make people find you as a regular and good poster.
I have to agree with you, being active regularly in the forum will help a lot in establishing your knowledge and personal experience in the forum. Hence, one cannot expect to acquire merits if he is not present or does not post most often as the more you engage in the forum, the bigger chances you will improve your potentials as a quality and valuable poster. If you fail to do that, you might also fail in your goal to earn merits knowing the people around may find it hard to acknowledge you if you don’t consistently post in the forum.

Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project?
Advisable I don't think so!

But if you are going to be diligent enough to look for any red flags not to invest or the green flags that will give you a reason that will convince you to invest in the project then I don't see anything wrong investing this way as you have done your homework and it's checked your boxes then one can go for it...

Btw,when it comes to new projects, everyone needs to do their due diligence regardless of being an experienced crypto investor or newbie!!
Regardless whether these projects are new or old, the fact that the investor is a beginner, then he should not jump into taking such investments. Instead, he should focus on his knowledge acquisition about the potential projects in the market and take time to research about those red flags that could possibly turn these potential projects into scam ones. That way, he’ll be able to lessen the chances getting scam in the market, most especially that he is still not making consistent profits knowing of his beginner’s status.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: April 29, 2024, 04:00:09 PM
I said to a brother, brother, let's invest. Buy a bitcoin and keep it.Fifty percent and I invested fifty percent but that brother did not agree then. Day by day the price of Bitcoin was increasing and the price was going up and down around 25, 30, 31 thousand dollars. Still I told my brother to invest but he did not agree. That price eventually reached 74 thousand dollars. I regretted very much why I didn't take a risk. If you want to do something, you have to take a risk, nothing happens without a risk.

You have been trying to avoid taking a risk on your own in which assuming any one of them agree to share the investment fund with you by 50% i don't know how you will both share the profits of its return, another thing will be if the market drops and falls, then the other investor decided to withdrawn his investment, what would have happened, all these are what we should know before starting an investment, if you had earlier been well informed about bitcoin, you would have understand why you only have to be the one to invest on your own without the influence of any third party.
Bitcoin is actually expensive if you aim to buy the whole portion of bitcoin, that’s probably the reason why you want to have a partnership with your brother. But maybe if you have studied more, you will understand more that bitcoin can be bought even with a smallest portion and there’s no need to convince others to invest as well. Just you and yourself is good enough to start investing on it. Just take the risk and invest, as you only need yourself to overcome all the risks and succeed in the end.

177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making the Most of $100 bankroll on: April 27, 2024, 08:15:01 PM
I have a friend who is new to sports betting and he asks -
If his bankroll is $100 and he has been told not to use more than 5% of his bankroll per bet, what strategy should he use on this type of bankroll? His question is should he place $5 each on 20 different bets? Or is there a better approach that can be suggested?

$5 is fine, but you should be selective with your bets, don't use that bankroll to bet all the games in just one day. It's always a question on how much he wants to win, because if he is expecting that his $100 will win $100 in a single day, then that's when the problem will start as you know frustration will come easy. our target should be realistic and it is always based on the amount of bankroll, so like I mentioned, if he wants to earn $100, then maybe make a decent bankroll like $1000. Lastly, focus on the long term result rather than the short term, as with better long term result that will proved that you are a profitable sports bettor.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 27, 2024, 07:37:20 PM
I lost my parlay because of the Suns, had won the Bucks +6 but the Suns choose to go Lakers mode, and they even look worse than the Lakers as they looked like a mismatch team to the Wolves. Suns does not have a bench production, I hate to say it but that's the reality.

I was thinking they'll bounce back and have the first win at home but now they are 0-3, and with that, I think I don't have any confidence on this team so I'm not gonna be betting on them in game 4.

There's nothing that they can do against the big man of Wolves, they are really having a hard time and with how ANT is playing that kid is really especial, after Butler I guess ANT is something similar to DWade, he got that big nerve which is not afraid attacking and taking shots, I guess he should continue doing that same stuff with the teo-towers who are also playing at their best.

Suns might suffer the same fate like Lakers, there's no answer against how the opponents are dominating them, tough series but maybe they might win at home, still possible I guess.
The Suns doesn't have a legit point guard, so that alone is already a huge problem. Acquiring Bradley Beal seemed to be  bad idea as he was inconsistent in the regular season and in the playoffs is impact is not the same anymore when he was still with the Wizards. things are really tough for them now mentally, as Durant is known to be a very dominant player, have won multiple champs but was only bullied by the Timberwolves this playoffs.

I think it's time for Curry and Durant to reunite, and make the Warriors a great team again.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 27, 2024, 07:18:59 AM

They don't get it actually, the real problem is not that people can't afford for the tickets but it's the lack of interest because they are not anymore seeing this as a competitive league. (X) all that farm teams, at least for a start and let's see from their if the league's revenue will progress. The next thing to do is eliminate sister teams as we can't prevent people from thinking that sister teams when playing they aren't serious.

That's a very hard decision to make because PBA is not manage by an independent body, the officers are just put their for formality but in reality it was the SMB and TNT owners that are running the show, they'll put their team and they have to make sure that they will be the most popular teams in the league. It's been going for a while, none of the teams that aren't from those two owners mentioned have a chance to win a championship, they can't deny that anymore.
Though we can’t blame them because they have the money to manipulate the whole league but if they really love PBA, the commissioner should start implementing their rules and be fair, there’s a lot of trust issues with the league already and the result are not that good for them. Imagine, they are the top league before but not it consider as one of the most corrupt league in the Philippines.
They have enjoyed the manipulation before but now they are feeling the result of what they are doing. People are not interested to watch the game anymore so they come up with this market strat to give free tickets using the labor day as its celebration. People won't be fooled by this, some may come but I think the arena would still look empty if it's not ginebra that will be playing, "real talk".
