it's really a nice board, but
for mining, the board is over killed, bad on ROI for gaming, gaming ppl don't visit here so often
maybe try CL or overclock.net?

also doing trade with mah87, and will come back to update

good card for mining, I have 3 of them but you have to put far far away from where you are sitting.......

bump mobo sold
thanks
Ram sold too!
Razer deathadder sold.
I come too late for the ram

you didn't fell down in a puddle during camping trip and water damage the macbook, did you? just want to make sure
|
|
|
ouch..... the "screen" you refer to is actually synthetic glass, it's separated from the actual screen behind it. so the actual screen with a dent like that is probably cracked but based on you keyboard layout, you are in Europe?

|
|
OK, waiting for your pics.
|
|
|
thanks for the reply, and mind to answer some follow up questions? like the spec of the mac? 13" 15"? and any pics possible?

if it's only used for 1 month, could you tell what happened to it? so ppl can make their offer more reasonable

|

still here bump for you

From what I found out, scrypt mining changed quite a bit starting with the 3.0 version of CGminer....
This is what I use now on my XFX 7970 DD OC: -I 13 --gpu-memclock 1760 --gpu-engine 1012 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 20480 --lookup-gap 2 -g 2
Gets me a stable 715Khash.
Owh and to the guy above me, my cgminer has never pulled more than 250mb of ram, ever. (windows)
that's interesting, before I tweak the cgminer to suck up more hash power from my cards, care to venture an experiment? say, 1G RAM and mine scrypt coins, coz I can't even get a 7850 mine scypt on 1G RAM, maybe I need to play with parameters more.

OK, after several hours of work I put xtreme Plus II on 7950 and let the glue dry overnight. three cards have temp of 66, 61, 54 @ less that 50% fan VRM temp (I see two VRM sensor on each card) 81, 78 69, 73 69, 74 TPU shows cards are running at 0.96v (I set in MSI AB @ 1.06v) and the result is mining scrypt coins, so I guess you will have better temp if it's SHA256 coins. hope this helps.

today I just ordered 3 Accelero Xtreme II for my 7950s (with EK adapter, it will fit the card no problem) It's on clearance sale I'll let you know the result. It should cut down on power consumption by a huge margin. 79XX series benefits greatly from water cooling. IIRC, the power savings from a watercooled 7970 was because the waterblock keeps the VRM temps as cool as the GPU core, which runs more efficient. This Accelero does not do that, and people often times see higher VRM temps. true for Full cover water block, but not for GPU core.

nice pool, switch to it now. I am lucky enough to find a block on solo mining within a hour, but no more in another 2 hours.....

They should work well, I have a couple of those on the Nvidia cards I use for gaming. A bit pricey for Bitcoin rigs though. I'm a slave for price/performance ratio so I'm just using a couple of huge old fans.
well, at the price of 45 each I guess is reasonable It should cut down on power consumption by a huge margin. 79XX series benefits greatly from water cooling.
I was halfway down that road, and changed my mind. I am still not comfortable to use water around rigs

holy...... never go cheap with PSU, coz you can't afford lost the whole rig
|

I put my 7850 back to the mining rig after I received the riser last week, and it's making BTC0.01 a day Can't complain.

I loved the idea till I saw the price of the system. Is BTC270 means 270 bitcoins? I should think so because $28K means 28K us dollar, so any idea how many years of electricity bill it will pay off with this amount of money? well, if it means 270 USD in terms of bitcoin, then it's my bad.

1. every card has it's own sweet spot/combination of core and memory frequency, you have to find it turn by turn (sucks and time consuming), try the ratio around .55-.57. 2. try reaper, (my cards do get 30k more in reaper than CG) 3. for scrypt coin mining, you need way more system RAM than SHA 256 coins, say 1.5G/card is reasonable.
