161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is a super bot trading BRAIN on Yobit on: July 08, 2016, 06:21:33 PM
New crap coin was listed yesterday called BRAIN and is traded by a bot. This bot is good. Makes thousands of tiny buys to give the perception that there is lots of demand, then dumps on the pimple faced pumpers who think they can outsmart a bot.

This is just another reason to not trust Yobit. They extract bitcoin from their customers in very unethical ways.

https://yobit.net/en/trade/BRAIN/BTC

I was going around trying out new exchangers and got to Yobit.

God. Where do I begin.

At first glance all seems fine. Was reading around about rouls, fees etc. ( Now that I think back I should have been more alerted already here)

Looking around the coins I felt lost.
So many "crap" coins listed it hurts my eyes.
And the pumping and dumping going on at these coins was laughable.
Ainīt saying every exchanger has unique and good coins.

I thought "Well, maby just trade around in the top coins, that canīt hurt".

Then I stumbled into the Troll-box. (Chat)

This was some of the shadies shit ivé ever seen.
So many people on multiple accounts trying to lure people to buy dead coins so they can dropp them and make profit.
I know it is not unique for Yobit.
But not like this, this is on another level.

And yes. Robots were noticed. This time it was on ORLY coin.

Take a look at the chat if not just for the funs.

Im staying miles away from that site.

And oh, the people saying positive things about Yobit here.
Really? Ovious is obvious.

Hint: Take a look in the history of some of these accounts and read some posts. Jesus..

Anyhow, just a heads up.

Happy trading!

I've never been in a darker place than Yobit.
It is like having a beer in the middle of a bar-fight with flying chairs and glasses and very loud music.
Anyway, just for the fun of it I opened an account and transferred 0.05 BTC (granted for loosing) and set some ridiculous price/sell orders. To my surprise not just I didn't loose the money, but after 10 days i'm at 0.1 BTC. The market is so-so volatile going up/down seemingly contrary to every human logic. Buy/sell ratio is from 3% to 500% for every coin.
Usertypes:
1. bots. Oh yes, there are a lot. Just try setting a buy order with 1 sat more and 4-5 orders move in the next second.
2. Smart guys. They are the best and brightest, hats off. They launch a coin then pump/dump. They most probably make ALOT of money off this. I like them because they realized is is not OK to be a Vitalik to program your a** down and have visions of future to fail, just launch a next-next-finish coin, list it, pump it, dump it. Begin circle again, fabulous. So we have there coins like: Billary, Trump, Putin, and so on.
3. Scammers/scammer bots. Every Smart Guy has his army of trolls shouting buy/sell exactly as in a bazaar. Very entertaining.
4. Humans. I presume some exist, I never had the courage to type into the trollbox. At the IQ level of the trollbox you would not be sure as a respond is a bad human or a good bot.

Funny is, it works. I think it should not, but it does. At this rate i'm better than the scam-mining (3-4-5% / day famous websites).
If you wanna see a live bar-fight come over.

PS. Bring only the money you dare to gamble.
162  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [40+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: June 23, 2016, 07:52:49 AM
Slushpool is at between 70-80 Ph/s, yet no blocks are discovered.
On the 19-th there were 19 blocks found
On the 20-th 2 blocks
Today until now 1 block.
How is this working? Do  they have some problem or just ... luck?

Hi, firstly thanks for being with us. I can confirm that we do not experience issues with our infrastructure It is just a bad luck which we experience from time to time like any other pool.

Hi, you are doing a fine job and I'm OK with you, had some good profits with you and would be lame to blame you. Keep up your work.
As somebody else said: gotta take the bad with the good. Good luck to everyone.

Thanks guys!
My wallet is filled up from mining with transfers twice a day, so it is a scenario i'll have to deal with. I'll probably move over to Electrum.
Thanks again for your time, info and advice.

Hi,
I have around 0.08 BTC in a GreenAddress.it wallet and i'm using it with their chrome extension.
Yesterday I tried to transfer 0.07 BTC to another BTC address and to my surprise the transfer fee was 0.00504992, that is 7.2% of the sent value, and about 2.28 USD. Fee calculation was /kb.
Is that a normal fee or am I doing something wrong?
My account balance consists of about 30 smaller transactions.

Greenaddress kindly replied to my same question, saying it is OK.
Any second opinion about this? Smiley

Thanks for your reply.

Soooo, how large was your TX?

Today another transfer for about the same amount of bct:
Fee / Size (bytes) / Fee per kB
0.00528431 BTC / 11732 / 0.00045042 BTC
