161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of the pending ETF in September? on: September 02, 2018, 03:33:25 AM
This story with ETF is now going for too long.
It looks like SEC is intented to prolonge their decision as much as possible, for some reason.
Currently that is not doing much harm to Bitcoin but it's not helping it either.
At the end they might not approve ETF but still I.don't think this will impact Bitcoin too much negative, except maybe on a short term. No matter to that I beleive the price will start recovering with the end of the year.

Yes, they are really dragging it and making the people become impatient. There is a high probability that they would reject it just as what they did to others but then will it really have a big impact to the price? I think there would be for the short term wherein if it would be approve then price would shoot up and many would be selling then which would become pump and dump and then after the decision, we are yet to see then the organic growth of it.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Optimistic Attitude on: September 01, 2018, 01:23:22 PM
It is necessary to be optimistic not only towards the world of cryptocurrencies, but also to the whole of life. Panic in the cryptocurrency market is not a cause for grief, but a chance to learn something new.

Positive thinking is vital in our life because it is one of the keys whether we would be successful or not. There are many problems that we have to face everyday and we need a positive mind to think clearly and solve it and that would include being positive when it comes to cryptocurrencies. If you think negatively then there is a tendency that you would panic when the price is not in your favor and it would affect how you would trade and more often than not when you are not positive, you would end up at a loss.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has your experience been with Binance? on: August 29, 2018, 05:36:46 AM
Binance continues to increase its influence on the crypto market.

What is it working for you?
Any complaints?

So far, I have good experience with binance and I hope that it will continue that way. They have really reach great lengths when it comes to exchanges because they can address the issues efficiently and would inform their users what is happening. This is one of the features or qualities users that are looking for in the exchange because those who are ahead of it didn't address the issues efficiently that's why they lose a lot of users.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your top Concerns in Bitcoin and Crypto? on: August 28, 2018, 04:16:32 AM
My top concerns are government policies that are not sufficiently accommodative to innovation such as blockchain and mining or node centralization. Legislation that is overly harsh or draconian will prevent wealth from being shared in the coming decades. We also have to always be mindful of the dangers with centralization, and remember the very reason why decentralization is needed.

I am also concern about the government regulation because if the time comes that they would decide to ban cryptocurrency then I would have a problem in cashing it out since our banks then would not accept it. It is less likely for now though because our government is open to those businesses wanting to get involved with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. The second one I am concern about is the cryptocurrency scams happening especially those HYIP schemes that many people are attracted to invest in.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am not sharing my crypto love? <3 on: August 28, 2018, 03:36:40 AM
Before told to my family and to my best friend. The opportunity that gives bitcoin but only few of them are trust it but now they already leave so i'm only one who are still here in cryptocurrency . I think why other people did not tell to other bitcoin because they are not open minded like us.

Some people are not comfortable in leaving their comfort zone that's why they are not open-minded when it comes to new opportunities and would rather stick to what they know is right and may want to invest on things that are popular and regulated. This is one of the hindrance of some people when it comes to cryptocurrencies because they would want to see it regulated and if not, they would think it is illegal and add to it the reports from the media about bitcoin being use in investment schemes.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cut losses on: August 28, 2018, 03:22:53 AM
OK so I bought ETH a while back when it was 600 dollars.

Now that ETH is 275 is it a good move to sell my ETH and buy back in? Wouldnt profit be faster when market picks up like that or not?

Please help me understand

I don't think it's a good move to sell when you lost already more than half of your investment. It would be much better to just hold it and then if you have more funds, you can consider investing in it so that you can average down. It would be better as well to study trading so that when the price goes down, you can take advantage of it by selling it and then buy back later. It is not advisable for newbies in trading to immediately do shorting because it's very risky but if you are trading for a while then it would be better to learn both ways whether it's short or long.

168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will ETFs help to contain Bitcoin price rises? on: August 27, 2018, 05:24:23 AM
Hopefully etf will be approved soon, because many people right now doesn't seem to understand the whole thing about etf. Even myself couldn't relate what this was all about and I just consider it by default as bitcoin's development strategiv approach which most btc admins used in order to help the system of bitcoin become accessible around the world. Though it gives definite purpose, we must partake for it and support what maybe able to achieve further for goodness of bitcoin.

I cannot relate that much about the technicalities of ETF too but what I know is that it would be a big help for bitcoin to be exposed to more people and would be attracted to invest on it. It would help push the price so that it will have the attention of the media and then more people would search about it just like what happen last year. I did check gold and when it has an ETF, its price surge that's why people are anticipating that the same thing will happen with bitcoin.
169  Economy / Economics / Re: Different between Cryptocurrency and Banking sectors on: August 27, 2018, 05:11:31 AM
Increasing profits by earning interest from savings is not really feasible. In my country, when the inflation rate is close to the interest rate savings. Depositing savings will be extremely risky in high-inflation countries, with the value of the national currency losing value each year. When you save money after a few years, the amount you can increase. But the value is reduced.

Besides that, the interest you earn is not really the interest you will receive because they will deduct tax from in it first so this is one of the advantage of cryptocurrency over savings in bank account because when the value of your coins increase, there would be no tax deduction from it unless you will declare it to the government. In banks, it would be immediately deducted. One thing I also hate about banks is that whenever the minimum balance goes down, they would deduct your balance further until such time they would exhaust all your funds.

171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it more profitable to Hold BTC or buying a lower price and selling at higher? on: August 26, 2018, 02:47:03 AM
Buy at low prices, and sell at high prices. But trading is not that easy. Because we know that crypto coins have a volatile price.

If trading is easy, everyone would be doing it. Most of those who start trading lost most of their capital in a short period of time because of being greedy or didn't study the market first at least in theories so that they would understand what those candles mean. As for holding or trading, I would say it is profitable for bitcoin to hold if it is a bull market but if you want to profit whatever market it is, it would be better to do trading because even if the price goes down if you know how to short then you can still make money.
172  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do with scammers on: August 26, 2018, 02:33:08 AM
I saw 70-80% ico are scam which are not reliable .they do smart work and making projects by invester and advisers and after not giving token ,making scami .what to do with them. Have you ever fallen in scams ? I am fallen some time .

Before, when I am just a newbie in cryptocurrency world. I often participate in those HYIP because I can see that they are paying but later on, I was scammed big time that's why I just stop participating in those type of investment scheme because it would just end up badly. I was able to participate in some bounty scams too because I was attracted with the big payment to participants and then when they are near ICO, they would just disappear that's why I only participate now in campaigns that has escrow or a reputable manager. Those scammers should be in jail but then how can we do it when we do not even know who they are.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: No rise in the price of BTC in this August 2018 on: August 25, 2018, 02:30:29 AM
Very bad news for BTC holders. BTC price is not moving upwards in August 2018. Looks like the rest of the days of August will be in downtrends for BTC price chart. The red is dominating green for all altcoins. Looks like another panic month for longtime holders.

I don't think it's the long time holders that are in panic though but those who recently bought in that is expecting a quick profit but then it is not what they expected because the price just keep going down. There may be times when the price goes up but then it would go down again. If you check the price now, it is going up and if it continues to go up after a few days or even a few hours, it would go down again which is bad for those who wanted big profits investor but for traders it would be like a paradise if you were able to trade it profitably.
174  Economy / Economics / Re: Be Creative and Earn on: August 25, 2018, 02:14:25 AM
Yeah as if we all have some talent like painting or doing graffiti and this type of earning crypto currency is only effective in well develop countries like in the first world but not in the third world especially in poor countries because most people doesn't have gadgets like smartphones or internet to scan for QR code.

But then you can have other ways to earn money if you want to have an extra income. It takes a wild imagination to think of something that would let you earn money may it be cryptocurrency or even fiat. Thinking outside the box is one of the key and Satoshi Nakamoto is one of those who thought of something different and here we are now, benefiting from his creative mind. We just need to find ways or even crowdsource some ideas because internet is a powerful tool.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: August 24, 2018, 02:30:44 AM
Many community members have been claiming lately that altcoins are going to die or at least that 90% of altcoins are doomed. I tend to agree with them that there are many coins and tokens that are pointless and won't survive. Another cathegory are alts with solid foundations but won't manage to fight with their competitors as naturally there are numerous projects with same visions. But if you trust the project you invested in, there is no reason to change your mind just because someone says many altcoins won't succeed. Do your research and trust only your own judgement, because many ALTCOINS ARE HERE TO STAY!

I somehow believe in that statement because I am holding many coins and 90% of them are either abandoned, worth 99% less than its initial value and some weren't listed in any exchange even though the team is still active. The bear market would test the projects that would be able to withstand this situation and if those long term projects would be able to come back then it would prove that they are worth investing. I realized the importance of taking profit when there is a chance in this market.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in bounties and Cryptocurrency? on: August 24, 2018, 02:24:07 AM
Yes, of course I still believe in bounty campaigns especially I can get free coins and I can sell it if there is a price in the market and when the coins goes hype it will be a good amount to be sold. Many of these coins that I get from bounty campaigns came from ICO that's legit and paying and I am very happy and excited when I get my bounty tokens. And I still believe in bounties of cryptocurrency that will last longer in the future.

As long as there are people who can profit from cryptocurrencies then I would continue to use it. Cryptocurrency is a big help for me when it comes to my finances because it is a big supplement whenever I am short of cash so as long as I can get funds from it, I would continue to use it. Our government allows it anyway so I am confident in introducing it to other people if they ask for it since it is not illegal in our country. Besides that, there is still an opportunity that my coins would be valuable in the future.

178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Aug 23 ETF Deadline... on: August 23, 2018, 02:07:18 AM
Personally, I'm at the point where I don't give a damn anymore, just reject them all for good and schedule the next hearing in a century or approve them all so we can finally have some peace....until the next big thing comes up and we're going to get glued to the screens again....

Better focus on the price action after the announcement than the before impact so that you will know what your next move will be. News base trading is risky for me and I prefer to just trade base on technical analysis since it would give me an idea of when to buy and to sell. It may not work in my favor all the time but at least I know what's my next move will be wherever the price will go. Crypto market has so many trading opportunities because of its volatility.
179  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify Investments on: August 23, 2018, 01:49:22 AM
Only invest an amount which you think you don't actually need for the time being. It is expected that you might need the money sometime in the future and so it is important to do it little by little as you have said. But as to the right amount there is no such thing as a standard for it. It is up to you. Diversifying may help and may not as well so it is a matter of choosing the right coin.

It may be an advantage or become a disadvantage for you if you diversify. If you have small capital then better focus in one coin that you think will have a better future compared to other coins. if you diversify too much then maybe you will only get small profit or other coins would just eat your profit because it has a big loss. Purpose of diversification is to lessen the risk so better have a strategy as well to cut loss if possible if worse comes to worst.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it true that bitcoin is a disaster for local banks on: August 23, 2018, 01:31:50 AM
I don't think so. Because humanity can't be free from the yoke of money issued and control by governments through central banks in the near 30 years at least.

If people opt to use bitcoin then it would be a disaster for them, but for now I don't think it would happen that easily because the government supports the banks and if they just let bitcoin take over then it would be bad for them because there is a possibility that they cannot get the necessary funding needed for the salaries of the people working for the government and projects to be funded. They will also lose their control which would entail just giving up their position.
