161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HEAT Discussion and Technical info on: November 10, 2017, 01:09:03 PM
We met Korean investors yesterday, an investment house contacted us as capital from the east is flying into crypto companies now that direct ICO participation is becoming more difficult. Interesting stuff, fits us well in building good valuation for the HL share release as well as the target companies that are to be tokenized on heatwallet.com.

I have seen so many devs complain about listing fees (1000$ plus) at exchanges all the while they can list on heat. The only problem we have is liquidity.
Good point, but based on the info I have $1k or $10k won't take a coin near to any well known exchange. The prices are astronomical, on the few ones that can be arranged with money. Perceived liquidity problem of HEAT, as compared to large exchanges, is illusory. Listing on a large exchange doesn't bring liquidity, marketing does, so unless a coin is marketed there won't be volume regardless of the exchange listed on.
I agree with you on many fronts. But, why not hire someone to create videos about how to use heat, what heat is capable of, what problems it solves, etc. I truly believe that right now the main barrier is a lack of understanding about the capabilities of heat. It wouldn't hurt to gain a little traction before heat develops. But you guys know best! Looking forward to seeing more great news. Really interesting news about the probable partnership:)

Are you guys waiting to market heat? I feel like right now is the best time for people to know about the capabilities. I have seen so many devs complain about listing fees (1000$ plus) at exchanges all the while they can list on heat. The only problem we have is liquidity. Maybe one promotion can involve getting projects to use heat and another can involve providing liquidity.
This project is far better than fully decentralized means like etherdelta because it allows anyone to list coins. No more waiting! Also, no more only ether coins! I wish people knew this... There are countless coins that need a home. I've seen three that were listed only on nova and they no longer have a place to go (because nova is shutting down).

166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: November 04, 2017, 09:37:42 AM
Wow. I wonder how much money Roger Ver has paid Gliss to list his bullshit bitcoin.com website on there.
ADs on coinmarketcap.com cost a ridiculous amount of money, thus I'm expecting that a ridiculous sum has been paid for listing the propaganda website.

So you guys all had "bash bitcoin.com link on coinmarketcap.com thread" in your trolling agenda for November 1st, right?
Pointing out incorrect information does not equal to bashing anything. Either the owner corrects their issues, or the users will start rejecting his service and promote alternatives. Welcome to decentralization. Bitcoin.com is cancerous propaganda.
Bitcoin.com ads? Big deal...
A literal ponzi is using coinmarketcaps ad space (bitconnect). CMC doesn't care, as long as they get some money.

Eliphaz,

There's a growing discussion on Slack about the Cryptopia listing.
Could Heat Ledger confirm with proofs that the listing request has been paid to Cryptopia like it's been announced on Slack weeks ago?

The cryptopia threada on the matter doesn't show any activity since 21 August 2017 which contradicts your claim that there's been any official communication between you and them:
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/2128?postId=11213

Your last post on Slack from September 12th:

Quote
Cryptopia; "Your coin is one of few the coins that requires us to write custom interface code for your wallet. We are happy to do this and would love to list your coin, but we have been stuck waiting for some development resources to free up. I have re-arranged things and freed up a developer to look into your coin, hopefully they will be able to provide an update by this time next week. We have also raised the price of a listing on paytopia to 5 million dot (about 10 BTC) to slow the flood of new listings coming in."

There was earlier some public nitpicking about "excuses" for non-listing on exchanges finding HEAT harder to integrate, raising the barrier of entry. Nothing of importance, but interesting too see this recent cryptopia reply confirms that hunch.

Posted in #generalSep 12th at 10:06 AM

There is a growing doubt on this listing request and overall follow up from you so it would be great to clarify.
When was the paiment made to Cryptopia, from which Bitcoin address, etc? That's be a start of proof.
Why are you not pushing on with Cryptopia or asking more details about the delay?

Thanks.

I hope we will not have an exchange. 10 btc for craptopia? NOT WORTH IT! Let's wait until decentralized exchanges get more traction. Supernet is involved with heat, I am sure we will be listed on barterdex for free. I honestly don't mind waiting, these centralized exchanges are greedy and eventually delist anyway.

If everyone agrees there will be no pre-mine at all or DTMI token and will stay as is JIO and DT Token

If it makes everyone happier?

Originally DT Token and JIO was not meant to be part of the project but opposed to being involved in a 3rd currency it made sense to integrate them, which is proving to be a bad decision.

To the complainers (including myself)
its either:
- Receive consolation prize in the form of DMI tokens for your useless JIO and DRACO
- Get nothing, dev doesnt actually owe any of us anything, and its not like Draco and Jio had development in the past 10 months.

maybe
Maybe
MAYBE!

we end up with DTMI and Drachmae ends up with a token they can add value to with everything they've been planning for the last 2 years.

maybe maybe you will get something out from your DTMI dumping it to someone else, and from 1/2 years from now he will be in the same position of ours today.
While the so called Dev will finish to dump the pre-mine and restart all over.

It's hard to take a loss but let's try to create a nice community that help each other in order to avoid bad situation like this

Don't listen to them, they don't know what's best for the project. Right now rebranding and a swap are best imo.

It seems not many have done the redeems yet... I know I said the swaps will happen before the first payout for each asset, but that means it could happen sooner. I had a bit of time so I wrote an automation to calculate the redeems so far:

less than 200 redeems and only 2% to 5% redeemed. Now I dont mind the donations that will result from not claiming, but really I think most people would prefer to own these coins!

Dont procrastinate, redeem today.

I am not done with the automation yet, but as I have time I will try to get it production ready. Good news is that everyone has remembered to add their redeem address, even though not everyone remembered to set "do not delete message" option

Cool! Much thanks for the update. Its really nice to see everything come together

Question, I know that there are coin on the heat exchange which are handled by third parties (Not trusted). Will you guys be implementing some type of feature to make trusting these third parties easier?
We already have the certification mechanism, which currently has very strict criteria of including company controlled assets only.
The certification mechanism however allows many levels of certification, 3rd party certification etc. so anyone could by now have started his own certification service and use any criteria for validation he sees fit.
The company may pursue this route later on. Currently we can't touch this as any validation and monitoring 3rd parties is resource intensive and a diversion from the decentralized tech of HEAT that takes all our focus.

Quote
Actually, it might even see a higher user growth than exchange because each third party is incentivized to get people to use heat.
Good that you see the business logic, few do.

What happens when two third parties want to add the same coin to the heat exchange?
Names stored in the blockchain and shown by the Heatwallet user interface are unique, first come first served. Make your own UI and you can switch any asset name to anything you like Smiley
Awesome response Cheesy
I understand the project a little more now. It's true growth will not be seen on the heat wallet, the true growth will be seen when people begin to use heat api. Very cool, I really appreciate all the work you guys are doing. This is why you guys are so focused on the tech - if you build it they will come haha. Thanks for a great explanation!

Agoras Token seems to have all the elements necessary to compete with the best with the kind of exciting Project they are working on and also Coin Structure is great. Money flow is missing and it is the essence for creating higher Market Cap and Visibility. Getting listed to more exchanges like Binance and so on will help. Maybe name change / Rebranding? AI Market/Artificial intelligence Platform / Network? or some word which is very catchy and easy to remember could help creating much-needed visibility. Investors are more interested to know about the application of the technology. In simple words Market potential / Value. Let us Hope things will turn around.Thank you Mr.Ohad for this opportunity and for all your hard work.
We honestly just need an alpha, that would be enough marketing lol. Even a solid whitepaper could help the project see more traction.

Question, I know that there are coin on the heat exchange which are handled by third parties (Not trusted). Will you guys be implementing some type of feature to make trusting these third parties easier? For example, the party must hold a reserve in btc? I am sure that there are better ways, I would just like to see that happen because this platform can really take off if listing coins was easier. Actually, it might even see a higher user growth than exchange because each third party is incentivized to get people to use heat. Also, then comes the name issue. What happens when two third parties want to add the same coin to the heat exchange?

Is humaniq even trying? I feel like there is a lack of communication with the community. How much funds does humaniq have left? How far along is the face analysis tech? Is there any active communication channel? The slack link led to a cloudflare link for me. (I recommend telegram). Loan implementation getting any closer? Any metric for trust? Prevention of fake accounts?
