161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Veterans and Legendaries: Need Advice on my Bitcoin Strategy on: November 17, 2021, 05:01:47 AM
Why not keep 50% and invest back 50%, if the market will run again you won't miss out completely, and if it is a bear market you still have 50% to fall back to or invest it during the bear market,
You have made a good sum but if I were in your shoes I will apply caution and take some profit, to me going all-in is not always the best plan, always good to have plan B Wink
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: November 16, 2021, 06:07:20 PM
It is hard to explain btc to newbies, I have a colleague who am trying to introduce to crypto, although he has an interest to learn but it is hard for me to be explaining every little detail because he has no clue at all prior to our discussion,
He is the type to be considered as a fresher, so am taking a baby step with him discussing what is btc, what is an exchange, what is a wallet, and so on, it is not easy but we are taking it one step at a time.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The US President New Restrictions on Crypto Businesses on: November 16, 2021, 05:57:07 PM
Even if people panic sell what good will it do since you will still end up paying the tax you are running from in crypto!
Almost any means of earning especially big amount usually attract tax from the government if you leave in a country like us where paying tax is a mandatory requirement, except you can hide your assets or move to a country with less tax important.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Statemint (Polkadot/Kusama ecosystems) on: November 13, 2021, 05:25:19 PM
I have heard about math wallet but never use it, I use safepal and metamask, I will check this wallet out to explore and understand it more, I like a wallet that can house so many coins from different chains,
Speaking about polkadot, I think it is great blockchain only don't have many projects as Solana does in its ecosystem, overall, dot is a good long-term investment.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH OR BSC on: November 13, 2021, 05:11:34 PM
One of the reasons why binance savvy chain gets to be this enormous right presently is since ethereum gas expense is exceptionally tall and this constrain a few ventures to switch to BSC but what do you think will happen once ethereum gas expense goes lower in close few months? Will BSC confronted same destiny as binance DEX? Or BSC will stay the way better choice over ethereum?

Nothing will happen, people will continue to use bsc because it provide equal service as eth network, it is always good to have different options, eth can not be the only smart contract network, other network should be able to provide the service too, the space is big enough for both chain exist.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ecosystem’s weakness on: November 13, 2021, 07:37:03 AM
If government want minners to be licensed to be able to fully operate legally what is the big deal there! Yeah I get the decentralise and whole lot of anonymous talk, but what can possibly happen if this is implemented?
Those who are shouting government wants to control their lives, what about people like Elon Musk and other successful businesses people all over the world, why have they survive even with this government control and regulations?
Honestly I don't think it matters much even if government implement regulations on mining or crypto, it won't stop anything.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that Mt Gox funds are going to get released? on: November 13, 2021, 07:18:40 AM
No doubt if such amount will be released to the victims at once will cause a huge dump in the market, this Mt gox issue has happened when the btc price is not as high as this so it is very normal that the parties involved will be happy to sell it, except they will be paid in some percentage to maintain the price,
When exactly will this be happening? Hope it is not anytime soon since the markets is expected to pump anytime this month to next.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the first altcoin created? on: November 12, 2021, 08:23:56 AM
I don't think that anyone is here having answer of this question.
I also google it for information but i did not get the results. So if anyone know ,please inform us.

Perhaps the way you query google for the answer was wrong because i just did after seeing your post to verify if actually there was no information about the first ever altcoin that was created in google but it turns out there was,

Quote
"What was the first Altcoin?
The first Altcoin to appear was the Namecoin. It was introduced in 2011 and, for a short period of time, it was the only alternative to Bitcoin. It was born with the purpose of improving internet security and privacy".
here is an answer from google about namecoin, so there you have your answer.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin would be next gamechanger? on: November 12, 2021, 08:15:02 AM
We have seen a lot of altcoins pumping by 5x or more in last month like NU & Shibu, but some of us were either late to join the rally or else ended up entering at peak and now struck like those who invested into Ripple when it was around $3, we have seen huge diversion from Shiba to Doge today once Doge started pumping. I have my bet on ADA (Cardano) and kindly share your favorite altcoin to invest now.
Mine will still on BNB, because i am lack of information about new coins that just released that is why i late to buy. I pick BNB because i don't have much analysis or information. What i know is BNB will still used by people because there are a lot of BSC tokens that created and of course they need BNB to do transaction either it is only to send tokens or doing swab.

bnb is definitely a good choice considering its solid backing but there are other few you can equally add to your portfolio if you are looking into to diversifying, coins like dot and avax are also higly recommended and just like bnb also have a solid ecosystem which are fast growing, they both still have enough room to grow because the market cap is not close to bnb, for that it will be possible to still x2 or x3 with this coins.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking To Invest $50-$100 In New Projects Any Ideas? on: November 12, 2021, 07:57:18 AM
Hello everyone and hope everyone is doing well. I am currently looking to invest in some new projects in the sum of 50-100 dollars. If you have any new or exciting projects you would like to share with us here, please post and let us know. Until next time take care.
50$ to 100$? I think it is not enough for investing the tx fee for now is very high and the 100$ is very small, I think you need to add this at least 400$ or 500$ maybe you can invest in Shiba Inu coin by this amount or some cheap altcoin that has a potential to rise in the near future.

That's not true, $50 - $100 is not a bad amount to invest in a project and still make a decent profit out of it, take shiba inu as an example, assuming the OP invested $50 on shiba at its very early stage, don't you think he would have made good profit with such investment!
i understand tx fee on eth network is high but if such project in on other chains with less fees like bsc and polygon then it won't be such a big problem, the tx fees will be relatively less.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin can help Local Communities on: November 11, 2021, 06:36:10 AM
I would rather put it as 'crypto can help local communities whether it is through btc or other alts, the single act of getting involved in Cryptocurrency is a life changing opportunity for many, it is no longer secret that even some government officials are interested in btc and crypto, some have their paycheck in btc,
Once it is encouraged, more local communities will do business with crypto and experience the true meaning of financial freedom.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more long term bear market on: November 10, 2021, 07:29:49 PM
Yes, adoption is getting stronger and stronger by the day and dip don't last days and days before it recovers unlike before, the market i would assume is less volatile than what it used to be, crypto is gradually moving from that point of huge dip, so I hope more 2022 will be a much fun year.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your luck rate with CMC airdrops on: November 10, 2021, 07:11:24 PM
Airdrops are no longer worth the effort put into it, I have since removed myself from Airdrops participation because it is just time-wasting,  but unfortunately, many newbies still pursue airdrops and as a result, there will be high numbers of participants and fewer tokens to go round, if you are lucky to have $5 worth of airdrops otherwise it is mostly cents,
Well if you want to have some succes with cmc airdrops, you study the project and answer the quiz correctly.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and trade are different to all on: November 08, 2021, 08:45:33 PM
It is even ridiculous imo to compare bounty and trading, one has no relationship towards the other so I don't see the reason for thus comparison, trading is base on understanding of TA and FA while bounty don't require all those, and there are several othe differences, it doesn't make sense to me with your comparison.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO - AltCoin | $ALT - Coming Soon on: November 08, 2021, 08:33:09 PM
I agree with the poster above, I don't think it was the appropriate name for this project, when I saw the thread I was expecting a discussion about the anticipated alt season, the team should think of something different to name the project,
Metaverse game are trendy now and in high demand so you might want to shape your project up a bit to have a good appeal.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: Firefighters pension fund invests 25$ million in crypto on: November 07, 2021, 02:15:21 PM
Well this type of investment from institutions are good news to the btc community, it boost the reputation of btc in the eyes of other institutions even higher, I guess when btc price has hit a much higher price this investment will increase the total funds of the company. Good decision by the firefighters.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Preparing for the future. on: November 07, 2021, 01:57:52 PM
The future remains uncertain to us, what matters is now and what we are doing to blend in the moment, as the world advanced new technology come in that shape the way we do some certain things, some people already adapting to this new ways while others are still finding their way,   for example, because of the pandemic lots of things have changed, many people even with this high skills don't have a job (something nobody anticipated for) the Internet becomes a saving grace for most people with skills, well not everyone is lucky enough to nail that high flying job despite their qualifications,  I think preparing for the future is not just having a specific skills or profession, it requires more and since the future is uncertain you will never know until you get to that period.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Eth flip BTC and why this is good? on: November 06, 2021, 05:49:13 AM
I saw someone claiming that if ETH will do 2x, it can flip the BTC. Well yes, if you look at CMC, BTC market cap seems to be bigger than ETH market cap by 2.17 times. And of course BTC will probably get more and more expensive if the overall crypto market will be rising.

However, I've just noticed that for the last 7 days, BTC if up 1.14% whereas ETH is up 9.27%. So ETH seems to be rising faster.

Now the question is, why in which way, this is good for ETH holders? I don't seem to understand this, why people getting excited by the chance that ETH can flip BTC?

I don't think it is anything more than seeing eth at the top spot and being the number 1 on coin ranking, and also if that happens eth price will be higher, it is hard to tell but in my understanding, btc always has a way to surprise and surpass expectations, so that probability is very slim.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PolkaDOT on its way to $100. on: November 06, 2021, 05:41:17 AM
Polkadot created a new all-time-high a few days ago after May 2021 all-time-high.
After Polkadot announced their date about para chain auctions will be starting on November 11 on Polkadot Relay Chain, that's the time price of Polkadot pumped.
I don't know why people didn't buy when it dropped below $30 before when this para chain is expected to happen before the year will end.

Same reason why people don't buy loads of btc or other coins when they are down, it is common perception among most crypto people, when the market is down instead of taking advantage of the opportunity,  some will be dumping and too afraid to buy, only the brave ones usually take such advantage.
180  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: November 05, 2021, 08:05:31 PM
To me I would say financial stability is being able to afford the basic things of life and have extra to afford some luxury items whenever they are required, like the @op said, this topic is quite controversial particularly because different people with the different perception of this, some would prefer to have loads of money to be satisfied and others will be satisfied with the little amount they have
