I was there for the first asic 51% lag,
terracoin was fine, then a guy came on one of the forums and said sorry I put my asic on it for a little while... and it lagged for half a day...
this is the second time. sunny king knows more than me, but I'd never promote inflation, lots of those ideas around ppc goes against my senses.
terracoin is sketch though.
even if they put fixes into the terracoin algorhythm will it actually protect against asics? the problem needs to be fixed and peer reviewed if you want anyone to take this coin seriously

it seems that they are working out TRC's failure. we were contemplating what TRC's recent mishaps could mean for BTC as a whole, and realized that someone wanting to shake up the BTC community who had billions to spend(such as US gov) could set a massive ASIC farm onto BTC and do the same to BTC what a few ASICs did to TRC.
but yes I agree, the entire thing has been positive for the security of each coin.
and it seems that terracoin is hashing it out how to be less vulnerable to 51% which, who knows, might come in handy if something like that were to ever happen to BTC.
also, bytecoin will have terracoins solution sets to utilize.... so I have a feeling that terracoin is actually going to be ok through all this.
in the coming weeks a new exchange is opening and featuring terracoin, so that might drive terracoins price up. its hard to say.
I bought some terracoins but sold them and rediversified, I've been watching the Terracoin fiasco very interested in them finding a solution.

that sounds like it might be a decent idea walter
hopefully terracoin paves the way for all the alternate coins in ways of figuring out this tricky problem set. if terracoin succeeds I'm sure bytecoin will look to terracoins solutions and implement them,
so hold on terracoin, there are some jagged bumps in the road, but your helping all the new generations!
p.s. I think we should set a goal to finding the solution by 4/15 when the new exchange opens, they will be offering TRC their platform and it could go over very well

NICEEEEEEEEE ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) very glad to hear. let's offer some bounties for total permanent fix of terracoin, then I think it just might be more inclined to be worth around $10 a coin. but I am very glad we have the problem fixed, and the solution on its way.

From the news:
Build 0.1.3-29 Is Available This is an urgent, mandatory update. This fix restores short-periods interval averaging, in order to get more realistic difficulty adjustments when the network hashrate goes from 20-30Ghashes/s to 1 or 2 Thashes/s. This is not the final code, a better algorithm should be implemented soon. Note that this build will be mandatory on block 101908 Windows download link: sourceforge Apr 6 2013.
So, sit tight till 101908 and then the real fireworks will start!
so that's 300 more blocks? uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. does that mean 900 more hours at 3hour blocks crazy_rabbit?

hi bte family
I was wondering are there any ideas to help against asic 51% attacks? I don't quite have the know-how to code yet, but I feel if someone could figure out how to take the 51% attack vulnerability the coin would have a guaranteed bright future.
I have been dabbling in terracoin, and the 51% attacks have been making my stomach drop to my toes, and I think alot of stomachs dropped to alot of toes actually.
just throwing it out there for development stimulus. the first innovator to figure out 51% protection will be a bte hero

yeah I was invested in terracoin and it just got sketch so I moved my terracoin investment into namecoin and it looks like its on a good steady up and up thank god.. I still haven't been able to register any domain names yet though, maybe some developers will invest in satoshi's namecoin and help make the registration process super user friendly, then I see namecoin being a really awesome coin. namecoin cult I summon you! let's get namecoin a nice makeover before it gets traded on crypto-trade.com!! I'll even offer some bounties. I'm not rich but I'd be happy to chip into a namecoin development at least a bitcoin, but I have to see namecoin fully functional and user friendly. so that is my contribution if I see this happen, and anybody else wanting to add to my bounty feel free to do so any amount. I'm good for it here is my video and channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvU5ukIQiuEnamashkaho matakwayasin

new cryptocurrency exchange is featuring namecoin
crypto-trade.com
I invested a while back into namecoin, and I even tried to buy a domain name. but its like chinese to me. it would be nice to get some developers to work on making it a bit more user friendly, once they do I can see namecoin taking off as far as value is concerned.
and I really want a .bit address but its impossible to figure out! where and who is the namecoin cult I summon you!

here is the site www.crypto-trade.com, opening in 8 days. it looks like namecoin, terracoin, and p2pcoin will be offered currencies, that will be good for their economys. I also heard good things about whoever is running this exchange, being solid.
