exactly, selling without notice their stack of FCT is giving signs to the market that they don't believe in their own company...

yes they are, but as of today its a money losing business (like a lot of start-ups). I bought promises, but so far they are not delivering.

regarding my prior statement about whale/insider shorting, in Polo Trollbox there were reports of heavy activity in FCT lending for shorting, and of regular block selling.

There will be a time to buy FCT again, but now is not the time I'm afraid. We need weak longs to be shaken out, we need positive signs on the client side to restore confidence in the market.

In the meanwhile its too obvious some whales and insiders, and surely Factom itself have taken profits (which is good because it means they $$$ to fund their business)
 
I don't see any chart support before 0.0035 and its not clear it is a strong buy at such a level if it gets there, but at least it will be worth reconsidering to build longs.

well I'm happy I'm out of all my FCT. bought earlier this year just before the completion of the bnktothefuture deal at 0.0025 avg.
was too greedy and didn't sell over 0.006, but sold 80% at 0.0052 and just yday the balance at 0.0047...(last trade 0.00405 !)

i didn't like the price action and there were ongoing rumours of whales/insiders selling heavily around 0.0052/0.0055, thats why i gave up...

and now i see those rumours....

The reasons i invested in FCT was that 5M funding enables to have a plan for the next 2 years, and be able to focus on clients. But so far, i have to say Factom has no real clients.

I have seen no announcement such like:

"Factom is happy to announce that Company X will be publishing hashes related to its (.....) and will submit Y amount of data per year for a value of Z USD (=ZZ EC)"

as long as there no such news, Factom will stay just speculation, and if they don't find a real client (with Z being a significant number) in the next 6 months, i think they will be done, as a new product / a new competitor will emerge... because on the tech side, i don't think its rocket science.

i own the series A so i hope it goes well, but i don't own any FCT anymore. The FCT profit was more than the amount invested in series A so now i can just hope they turn into a giant company....

but reading this forum makes me think i shouldn't count too much on it after all...

actually you don't need to be a victim to file. You don't even need to report a crime, if you have strong suspicions, its enough to make a report.

So i would like to express thanks to anyone who would kindly join me in reporting the crime.

There is no downside in doing that, except spending 30 minutes of your time, and having to give your personal details (name, address, phone number, email)
You don't need to be a UK citizen or to reside in the UK to file.


I know a lot of people in the crypto-community are anarchists, and don't believe in government and police.

But if we really want to stop scammers, the only way in this world is to report crimes, hopefully some will get caught and heavily punished, and maybe the next scammer will ask himself twice if he wants to risk prison.
At least there would be a little less of them. Don't be egocentric, I have no hope personally of getting my money back, i am just fed up of people getting away unpunished, and everyone of us can make a difference, whether you are victim for 1 btc , for 10 btc or 100 btc, whether you are just an observer, you can make a difference, and if you don't like people like Jawad, thats the realistic way to go.

Jawad may go away but maybe not the next Jawad. Also, he might be involved and a suspect in many other scams as well. It will put him under the radar of the police. if enough people complain, maybe he'll get scared and have a change of heart. Maybe he would even be forbidden to leave the UK (if he really exists and really lives in the UK...)

Also, please note that these complaints take weeks to be processed. For those who don't want to take action immediately, hoping for some miracle resolution, after it will be too late to stop him.

Really there is no downside in filing the complaint, if by miracle you get the money back, you can always send an email later to actionfraud to explain the situation...
Apparently i've managed to convince a few other ones to do it. The more of us do it, the more chances the police at least has a glance at it, and maybe process it.

even if he manages to escape this time, I expect him to be put on a grey watchlist. Jawad seems pretty dumb, I'm confident one day or letter, something very bad will happen to him, prison, or more likely, he will scam the wrong guy and get a bullet or something like that...

Scam artists like Jawad have perhaps several scams going on, at one stage, he's going to make a false move. Reporting to the police will put more pressure on him, and if he gets nervous, he'll end making mistakes, and one that will prove fatal to him sooner or later.

if ETC is the real Ethereum, then Ethereum is dying...

I'm bullish on ETC, but its gonna take a fight.
the ETC from the DAO will be released + the hacker's ETC is available + some new exchanges are allowing for ETC distribution.

I think its largely in the price, but we could see some volatility in the next few weeks before the market can rally hard.

After all, on Day 1, almost all the ETH longs (i.e. everyone except for the guys in the situations above) could sell their ETC. Still ETC rallied hard. So with much less supply than on Day 1, I feel it can be absorbed as well. but where would be the bottom ? difficult to tell. Maybe its already in, maybe not...


TLDR: I think 5 weeks from here we will be significantly higher than now and rally mode, because the supply shock will be behind us, but in between it could be quite some scare.

if its true, it shows there exists 1.68bn AMP which at the current price of 0,165 usd makes it a 277,000,000 market cap.

We all know what it means...its unsustainable, especially that the most of the coins are not on the market yet.
when all coins are well distributed, it can go up because everybody buys and sells the same hot potato, but here we have a huge supply which needs fresh USD to be absorbed as one side is a clear seller who wants USD....

So i don't want to discuss how good the Synereo tech is, maybe its fantastic, but with such a market structure, the expected long returns of this stuff are very bad.

Of course, the float is very small and can be manipulated very easily. I'm not saying AMP can't do x3 or x5 in the short term. But its unsustainable.
And if this information becomes more widespread, it will drift lower.

My main scenario is that at some stage, we will see AMP go -50% or -75% without any reason and only 1 month later, there would be some announcement, that SYN foundation put x00,000,000 of tokens on the market. Of course, the SYNEREO team will make like bandits (like STEEM), will have little incentive to develop their product as there will be too many investors burnt and a lack of faith, so they will just retire in the Bahamas, or prepare the next scammy coin...

TLDR: enjoy AMP while its good, but sooner or later its gonna be in D phase of PnD. AMP is the new STEEM
