162  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN]⭐️ BITTREX GLOBAL EXCHANGE ⭐️ - NEW Credits Program is Live on: January 28, 2020, 10:54:12 PM
Is this another ANN thread for Bittrex exchange platform? There is already one : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=463202.0
Op you woke up from a long period of inactivity to post about the credit program of bittrex !! Your latests posts before one year and half tell that you were probably a signature campaign participant. Am asking this because Bittrex is not among the most trusted exchanges as mentioned in op. There is already more than 200 shitcoins lidted there. I can tell you that all the accounts affiliated with Bittrex are tagged and there is a lot of plaints against it .

Reserved
Why do you reserve first post? Are you also affiliated with Bittrex?

This is a service announcement (New Credits System) and it's Bittrex Global. I'm just posting the announcement.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 2019 Overview of Binance by DAO Maker! on: January 28, 2020, 07:16:10 PM

https://t.me/daomaker

As a fruit of rapid technical and business development, Binance's BNB token cemented its position in the top 10. In fact, BNB (#9) has a market cap almost twice that of its rank contender, Cardano (#10).

BNB holders had a year worth celebrating, building wealth through more than just token appreciation as Binance gave out millions to holders through various events, including massive airdrops.

Given that Binance burned $114.9M, it has an indirect P/E of 23.8, almost in line with the P/E of ICE, the owner of world's biggest exchange, NYSE.

Is BNB overvalued or undervalued?

165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: August 26, 2018, 08:04:58 PM
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold.
75% is a huge statistic but I think this was what most people believed when btc was new to many but now people are using it as an alternative payment option especially if they are avoiding giving out their info.

Quote
Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.
There is some sort of contradiction if your say people shouldn't consider bitcoin as digital gold but see it as a digital currency, but don't you think it can be both Huh And when it comes to investing in anything am sure everyone first looks at the risk factor which is why your due diligence is important
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if cryptocurrency market is not also good in 2019? on: August 20, 2018, 11:39:05 PM
In as much as we have seen most cryptos drop in value, I believe some rely on their working product, so it's best to invest in products with real problem solving characteristics and not mere speculation.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Circles $6500 on: August 20, 2018, 11:03:44 PM
bitcoin (BTC) price  held steady monday, August 20, posting small gains to circle $6,500 while altcoins drop further.
Even with these small gains for bitcoin, altcoins aren't having it easy as they have been hit hard.....but imo I say they are also the reason for bitcoins deep dive as we have so many altcoins which hasn't brought in any new money but just a circulation of old money!
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few? on: July 25, 2018, 11:28:53 PM
I think its far much better to have a variety of coins as this shields you away from crashing prices of some altcoins and as far as I know not all coins will succeeded so we just need to be prudent and try to diversify
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Frustrates You Most When Using Bitcoin? on: July 25, 2018, 11:07:58 PM
Its got to be volatility for me, you cant just go on with your life for more than a week without ever checking the price of bitcoin because you are always worried about your crypto investment but I think of late prices have not been jumping everywhere, there is some sort of stability hope when prices recover the will remain up there.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ? on: July 25, 2018, 11:00:33 PM
If such would ever happen I think it could favor crypto users provided the show their humanitarian side by sending out some financial help through crypto and not fiat and in the long term when things get back to normal this could help the value of cryptos as this will show the world that there is a community out their that will come to their aid in time of need which could force people to take an interest in this digital community.

172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: July 25, 2018, 08:36:23 PM
You only find gambling to be a success in the short run because in the long term we lose more than we won so this can never fall under a success story unless you playing against your own friends then you can always be successful but if you playing against the house your winning runs never last long despite hearing some users complain of being blocked for winning big on multiple occasions.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO or buy BTC? on: July 25, 2018, 06:42:08 PM
I am a newcomer to the crypto market.
Should I invest in ICO projects or would I buy bitcoin to hold and wait for the price? Please give me advice.
Sincerely thank you.
No need of restricting yourself, buy some bitcoins for the long term hodl and whatever money you're left with you can invest that in ICOs and for your information right now the ico market isn't as bad as I thought you can go all in with ico investments but be sure to pick the right project to avoid making an irrecoverable lose.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many ICOs on: July 24, 2018, 04:59:02 PM
Hey,

with all these ICOs going on in parallel it seems impossible to stick out for a good one.

Reddit and this forum get flooded with announcements of new ICOs making it almost impossible to spot good ones.
Facebook blocked ICO advertising.
Google Adwords blocks use of word ICO in ads in certain countries already.
Twitter is drowning in ICO announcements.
Listing pages are popping up everywhere, too.

What are the ways you guys use to learn about new ICOs and how do you find out the good ones ?
Because its become so difficult to spot good ICOs I think one way of finding good projects is seeing if the ico got a mention on popular news sites like cointelegraph and if its that good other news sites like investopedia keep a column for such but its not foolproof as others are paid advertisements which makes the picking process even more difficult.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Property? What might be the best investment? on: July 24, 2018, 01:57:27 PM
I think we have to account for the tax charged on either bitcoin or the property when choosing between the two and its most likely that bitcoin might not be taxed in most countries as it still a miscellaneous item.
But I think property in the short term is a liability as you require to input lots of resources to complete it while bitcoin is more of both a current and fixed asset, which leaves btc to be the best pick.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are the most popular ICO listing sites? on: July 24, 2018, 11:46:40 AM

With so many ICO listing sites one can get quiet lost.  Huh

I am wondering, which of them are the top/popular/your favourite and why? Thanks!
Popular ico listing sites which I also use

https://icobench.com/
https://icotracker.net/
https://icodrops.com/
And I see coin gecko getting into the coin listing business
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India closes doors for Crypto Currency on: July 23, 2018, 06:45:18 PM
According to recent news, RBI which is India's central banking institution has advised to stop transactions from any crpto exchanges. This will stop the buying and selling of bitcoin and changing into local currency. Official statements hint more bad days for bitcoin.

For more info, check : https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/wealth/personal-finance-news/your-bank-will-not-allow-you-to-buy-bitcoins-anymore/articleshow/63627123.cms
https://ambcrypto.com/bitcoin-btc-banned-in-india-reserve-bank-of-india-releases-an-official-statement/

India is afraid of taking risks! He does not want people to be deceived! I do not trust the crypt myself!
We might say that the central bank is a caring institution which does not want to drive its people into something it does not understand but if they are given more time to understand how this crypto technology works the ban is more likely to be lifted.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: July 23, 2018, 06:47:16 AM
Right now bitcoin has the biggest market and leads by a huge margin making it to literary have no competition and a bad side effect from this making it to have a few people that believe in it as its seen as speculative which bars most big investors, but should a way of introducing a centralized crytpo bitcoin will have competition.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: July 20, 2018, 07:56:18 AM
What i see in the OP looks convincing but how long can such a pyramid scheme go on?

With what I have seen in crypto when a project is called a scam and proof is presente... its supporters, investors all pull out but today eth is seen as the most stable coin of the crypto-market and how do you explain this accusation Huh
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Champions Cup on: July 19, 2018, 07:33:14 PM
International champions cup, interesting, I am counting on clubs with less players that participated in the just ended worldcup to win this one
