Kan iemand mij uitleggen wat voor een effect die splitsing in hashrate heeft op een beginnende belegger als ik? Heeft er al eens eerder zo'n splitsing plaatsgevonden?
Zo'n splitsing heeft al eens eerder plaatsgevonden; de reden/oorzaak van een splitsing is het wijzigen van de afspraken, bijv. het vergroten van de blokgrootte. Vooral dat laatste heeft al een paar keer plaatsgevonden. In deze gevallen is (vrijwel) iedereen gewoon overgegaan naar de nieuwe versie, oftewel de nieuwe blokgrootte. Echter, wat er nu gebeurt is zo'n politiek spel geworden, dat het de vraag is hoe groot de splitsing is. 95%/5% wint de ene kant; er is dan weinig aan de hand. 5%/95% dan wint de andere kant, nog steeds weinig aan de hand. Maar als het meer richting 50%/50% gaat, dan wordt het spannend. Zo'n soort splitsing is een keer eerder geweest bij Ether; de koers van Ether is toen inelkaar geklapt. Echter, na enige tijd heeft ETH (de grootste kant) weer heel veel in waarde teruggewonnen, na een jaar ongeveer op het oude niveau. ETC (de kleinere kant) heeft wat langer geduurd, maar ook die is redelijk populair. Of en hoe dat ook met de bitcoin splitsing gebeurt is koffiedik kijken. Niemand die het weet; wel kan er zelfs nog een derde variant worden gevormd, wat het helemaal gecompliceerd maakt. Even een vraagje, ik lees allemaal dingen over "voorbereiden op 1 Augustus"....maar als ik gewoon mijn BTC in mijn Electrum wallet laat staan dan kan er niks fout gaan toch? Of wat voor maatregelen raad je mij aan te nemen? |

Can a receiver see only the one-time Bitcoin address the transaction came from? Or also something like a wallet ID. Say I send 2 transactions to the same wallet. Can this receiver somehow find out that both came from the same wallet? Or can he not know this at all since only the transaction ID's are shown and obviously those are not the same?

Wat moet ik me voorstellen bij omwisselkoersen? En welke exchange gebruik je zelf het meeste? Zelf gebruik ik meestal BL3P.eu om bitcoins te kopen en GDAX.com om bitcoins te verkopen. Waarom? Aan- en verkoop via de handel is over het algemeen duurder, dus vandaar dat ik tegenwoordig vooral via exchanges omwissel. Overigens wissel ik steeds minder met euro's om, ik probeer mijn winsten met crypto zelf te behalen. Maar als ik aankoop, doe ik dat meestal via BL3P.eu; dit is de enige exchange die iDeal ondersteunt, dus waar ik snel kan handelen. Bovendien is de koers hier vaak voordelig (vaak=niet altijd!) Bitcoins verkopen doe ik via GDAX.com; deze heeft vaak de gunstigste koers om te verkopen (ook hier geldt: vaak=niet altijd!). Bovendien zijn de kosten hier het laagst. Bij handel via exchanges heb je makers en takers (in dit geval zet ik mijn bitcoins te koop voor een hogere prijs als de vraagprijs => dan ben ik de maker / Wanneer ik bitcoins verkoop voor de hoogste vraagprijs dan ben ik taker, ik neem (gebruik) de aankoopopdracht van iemand anders). Bij GDAX is het makertarief 0%. Overboeken via SEPA daarna kost 0,15 euro (dus 15 cent). De omwisselkosten zijn dus maker- en takertarieven en daarna de overboekingskosten. Bovengenoemd voorbeeld: BL3P: ik betaal via iDeal (0,80 euro), daarna wissel ik om (0,25%) en daarna schrijf ik de bitcoins naar mijn eigen account (0,0001 BTC voor een normale transactie of 0,0005 BTC voor een snelle transactie). (Ze hebben nu tijdelijk een actie: geen kosten voor iDeal betalingen en 0,125% ipv 0,25%)GDAX: ik ontvang de bitcoins (0,00), daarna plaats ik een verkoopopdracht (0,00) en daarna boek ik het geld naar mijn rekening (0,15 euro) Zou ik het andersom doen: GDAX: ik betaal via SEPA (0,00 euro), daarna plaats ik een aankoopopdracht (0,00) en daarna schrijf ik de bitcoins naar mijn eigen account (0,00 wanneer het een Coinbase account is, anders de standaard bitcoinfee) BL3P: ik ontvang de bitcoins (0,00), daarna wissel ik om (0,25%-tijdelijk de helft:0,125%) en daarna boek ik het geld naar mijn rekening (1,00 euro of tegen meerprijs spoedbetaling) Niet veel verschil, behalve de snelheid (SEPA duurt minimaal 1 dag, soms enkele dagen) en overboekingskosten. Dus bij GDAX kun je bijna zonder kosten traden, terwijl je bij BL3P (en Kraken etc.) altijd een percentage moet betalen. Bij BL3P is dat een vast percentage, bij Kraken zit er weer een verschil tussen maker en takertarief. Het klinkt heel ingewikkeld, maar als je het een paar keer gedaan hebt, valt het reuze mee. Welke websites zijn het beste om mijn Bitcoins in Euro's op mijn bankrekening te ontvangen?
Ik weet al van Bitonic en Bitcoinweb maar die rekenen wel een erg nadelige koers vind ik. Het verschil tussen aankoop en verkoopprijs is mijn inziens te groot en als ik daar verkoop heb ik het gevoel dat ik genaaid word en dat er ergens beter te verkopen is.
Welke sites rekenen de minste provisie om in Euro (let op: geen USD want als het dan nog naar Euro om moet worden gezet door mijn bank zelf dan verlies ik heel veel aan omrekeningskosten) naar mijn Nederlandse bank uit te betalen?

I have a transaction of around 4BTC pending for already over 24 hours. It is via Electrum wallet. I'm not very familiar with Bitcoins. Is there somebody who can help me and somehow prioritize my transaction so that it will get processed soon?
After this I will for sure switch to a different wallet because this is already the 2nd time this happened to me.
Would somebody be so kind to help me out this one more time?
And secondly, what wallets are recommended to use for the future?
Are you using the latest Electrum 2.8.2? I have a hard time believing properly set up Electrum would ever send a transaction with a 50 sat/byte fee. Make sure you are using latest Electrum. If not upgrade. Then under settings enable dynamic fees and replace by fee. When you send a transaction always move the fee slider to high and also check the box marked replaceable. Then if the transaction gets stuck you can click on it and bump the fee up. Don't try to do fees manually, just follow my instructions and you will be fine in the future. I pushed your txid and you should have a confirmation in a few hours. No need to change to a different wallet. Just learn how to use Electrum properly before you put four (!) bitcoin at risk again. Well to be honest I installed Electrum 1 year and 3 months ago (version 2.5.2 it shows) and never changed or updated it. I always had some BTC in it and was scared that those funds would get lost somehow during an upgrade or so. Still, even with these low set fees my last 5 transactions all went through fairly smoothly within some hours. Thanks a lot for pushing my transaction up! It's currently still pending but I trust that tomorrow it will be processed. And what do you mean about putting my BTC at risk? I mean, it would get processed at some point anyway, right? Or there are tricks to reverse the transaction in the worst case I heard. So I would never lose the BTC for real. Either way, I will follow your advice and when my transaction is processed and my wallet is empty I will upgrade to a newer version of Electrum. |

Electrum is actually a great wallet and you shouldn't have any problems dealing with it.
Can you please post the transaction TXID to have a better understanding of what did happen?
I'm guessing you've used a low fee and that's why your transaction is 'stuck'.

Also, I must say that my previous 5 transactions went just fine (processed within minutes) with the same pre-set fee (which was proabably just as low). Oh yes, that is an extremely low fee. Yes, you can do that. On Electrum, go to Tools -> Electrum Preferences -> Tick 'Edit Fees Manually'. A transaction like yours usually shows up as Replaceable and you're able to increase the fee to make it go through. Okay, I've ticked the box to edit fees manually in the future, but how do I know increase the fee for my still pending transaction? |

Hello,
This is the first time ever this happened to me. My transaction for the amount of 11.693286 BTC is already pending for 16 hours straight now with 0 confirmations. I read on the internet the reason for this might be that the fee is fairly low in comparison to the amount I'm sending (the fee is 0.186 mBTC), but is this really true? Would it cost miners more effort to send a transaction that is higher in amount than a low amount? I can't see the logic.
What should I do and what can I do? Is there somebody who can process this transaction for me? Or should I just wait and it could take how long exactly?
Or is there a way to cancel the transfer? If so, can somebody explain this to me in newbie terms?

Then last weekend suddenly I was not able to place a bet or to do a withdrawal. Both times appeared a error message, that betting is temporary blocked, withdrawals are also blocked. 2) Why is your maximum stake only 0.7BTC on all NBA game winner markets in livebetting (even during breaks), even to risk for 1,10 odds?

NBA odds added, please note that odds change all the time with various sportsbooks, but the margin seems to be constant.
Can you please also do a maring/percentage comparison for NBA game winner odds in LIVEBETTING? Powerbet seems to have MUCH worse odds in livebetting on NBA than pre-match. I can understand they will increase the juice a bit in livebetting because it's harder to estimate, but this much is a bit over the top IMO. So would love to see how bad they are in comparison to others. For example do the comparison during the half time break. |

Hmmm...this is weird....tried to withdraw some funds today and the withdrawal is blocked I get everytime....but a few days ago the first withdrawal went fine.
Could the reason be that I need to rollover my deposit at least 1 time in full? Because I deposited funds yesterday but the bet I placed with it was pushed, so that means odds of 1,00 and I read that the minimum odds to rollover are 1,10? Did anybody else have this withdrawal blocked problem when not wagering deposit? Live support is not helpful at all so I'm asking it here, maybe 1xbit forum member can answer this?
