161  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Developing a Wallet? on: January 13, 2017, 07:25:11 PM
Actually, what I want to know is the working logic of wallets. For example new altcoins are coming out. Different wallets are being developed for these altcoins.
Is it like the bitcoin wallets in the logic of the wallets developed for the new altcoins?
162  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: January 13, 2017, 06:52:33 PM
The technology itself is not negative. What always matters is how people use it. In fact, such problems always happen. People are always complaining about their generation differences.
Do you think this is a problem for children born in so much technology? Are children complaints about spending time with iPads or playing computer games? Will these children have similar complaints for their children in the future?
163  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Developing a Wallet? on: January 13, 2017, 06:22:46 PM
Bitcoin wallets have different characteristics, while basically having the same features. What we need to know to develop a new bitcoin wallet? What do we need technically?
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: January 13, 2017, 06:01:40 PM
Need!

People do not use something that they do not need. Current payment systems are providing the needs of people. So they are not looking for alternatives. Even people who are involved with technology may not have heard of bitcoin. Most people only see the bitcoin in the headline of a news article, and then they pass by without reading it. They may not be considering buying it because there is not much use in real life.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the best future currency? on: January 13, 2017, 05:02:35 PM
The best reasons are:
No physical currency involve!

One of the biggest advantages of Bitcoin is that it has low fee values for money transfer. However, if the fee to be paid in the future increases too much, it may not be preferred.

There is so much more then this.   I can think of a ton of digital currency that does not need to be physical... that is utter crap.  There are a ton of pump/dump alt coins out there.  I would not touch them.

Bitcoin is currently and has been like the gold of crypto currency.  It holds the most value, has the most companies going after it.  There is value behind it.  I think the value is what set's it apart.

If Bitcoin is only good because it "holds the most value", then that doesn't make it seem good.  You can theoretically pump some shitty P&D coin to the value of Bitcoin right now, does that make it any better?  Of course not, but people just see the price tags of something and automatically thinks it's better because it's a higher price.

Same thing happens in capitalism in general.  For instance some teenage girl goes to the mall and sees a fancy "name brand" purse that cost $1K, then her mom redirects her to another off brand version that only cost $20... The girl is always going to go toward the $1K purse because it's So-and-so's name brand... Does that make that purse better? Hell no, it's just a way of making the same product look better.

I see the same thing happening with bitcoin right now.

This metaphor for bitcoin is not correct for me. Think of two products with the same features. One of these is popular. The other product is an unknown brand name. When we look at the quality of products can be the same. The reason for selling the expensive product here is that it can be marketed well.

But there is no similarity in the currencies we use in real life with bitcoin. There is much more innovation that bitcoin offers to people.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and other CryptoCurrencies are Rocking the whole Crypto Community on: January 13, 2017, 04:46:03 PM
I think 2017 will be very important for bitcoin. The price of bitcoin will increase in 2017. However, I think altcoins will reach a certain balance within the next 5 years. For example, certain currencies like the dollar, euro, sterling are popular in the world. A few of the Altcoins will remain popular. I think other altcoins will die.
167  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about immortality? on: January 13, 2017, 11:07:43 AM
The San Junipero part of the Black Mirror series came to mind when talking about immortality. At the end of the chapter, people's consciousness is transferred to the cloud environment. And they continue to live in the cloud environment without their bodies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j184FPzAzeE

I want scientists to find immortality. But will we be able to take advantage of it when immortality is found? Do they give everyone the opportunity to use this technology?

That is the main thing I always think about. Mostly because if immortality were to become a reality, reproduction would have to be halted and given out like a lottery, since we would run the risk of quickly overpopulating any place we were at. Also, I assume it will be like aids and other diseases now, where the rich miraculously are cured of it and the rest are forced into debt and death.

The world population is growing at such a rapid rate. If immortality is found, they will not give it for the use of ordinary people.
But it would be useful to use it for scientists who make useful discoveries on behalf of humanity. For example, I wanted Einstein and Tesla to be alive. I'm sure there was a lot to do for science.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the mining profits decrease, will Bitcoin end? on: January 13, 2017, 10:54:24 AM
There is no way that bitcoin will end with just a decrease in mining profit. It will continue but the confirmation will take a very long time. The users will pay huge fee just to get the transaction done in time. But let us say a miner will stop mining because it is no longer profitable what will happen next, a new miner with a good hardware will replace the old miner and the cycle will continue. New mining hardware, new technology will just come out to solve the problem on difficulty, electricity and others.

One of the biggest problems of Bitcoin is the time to approve payments. At the moment we can say that your payment will be approved in 0-30 minutes with a minimum value of 90 satoshis/byte. For the average transaction size of 226 bytes, you need to pay 20340 satoshi. Average fee values can be viewed on this site https://bitcoinfees.21.co

Bitcoin was the first time the fee values were very low. Over time, these fee values increased. One of the reasons people choose bitcoin is that the commission fees are low in transferring money.
If the block award value is 1.5 BTC in the future and the bitcoin price does not increase, this time the fee values will increase so that the miners can make money. If these fee values are more than the money transfer fees of the banks, there is a possibility that people will drop the bitcoin.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the mining profits decrease, will Bitcoin end? on: January 12, 2017, 11:24:28 PM
At the moment the miners for a block are awarded 12.5 BTC. Every 4 years this value will fall by half. For example, let's imagine that the prize value is 1.5 BTC for each block and that BTC's value against the dollar does not increase. In such a case, mining will not be very profitable.

At the same time, miners are also benefiting from the value of the fee. This time the fee values will increase. Then people will have to pay a high fee for bitcoin transfer. The biggest advantage of the Bitcoin system against banking systems was that they could shop without paying commissions to any brokerage house. If this happens, can bitcoin preference be reduced?
You question is no much complicated because , If mining reward will became low or stop then it is sure that a new rule will come into play to earn bitcoin by supporting mining .
Because if mining reward decrease or stop then the system of bitcoin transaction will stop , so to make bitcoin and its transaction live the bitcoin system will provide additional reward .
So don't worry  , if you can than make mining Wink

Has Bitcoin technology added new rules up to now? Has Satoshi's original technical design ever changed after Satoshi?
What I mean is not the improvements made in coding. Have new rules been introduced to change the operating logic?

No really, only the BTC reward will be lowered but the BTC price will increase due to the law of supply and demand, less BTC less supply more demand, high prices.
Along with that fact we can also say that with the passage of time the remaining coins will reduce in umber and one day all of the coins will be mined and with the limited number of bitcoin its price will be much higher and the miners will rely on the fees of transaction which is also good in amount.

Yes, this is one of the scenarios that might be in the possibilities. Overall for bitcoin everyone is considering this.
Classic economic information already says it. If supply decreases with increasing demand, prices will rise. In such a case, if the fee is within a reasonable value range, Bitcoin will continue.

what if for example the windows on my pc is compromised with some keylogger and then i install linux but still have microsoft installed?

Malware is developed specifically for the operating system. A malware that infects the Windows operating system only works on that system.
When you install a different operating system, this system is not affected by windows viruses.

If you have any other questions that you are wondering, you can ask. I try to help.

ok makes sense. im just sad that all the essential programs for music (reason/ableton/serato) dont work for linux thats why i've never really used it..

i feel like all companies who are selling antivisu programs create viruses aswell. i have no idea actually but it seems like some sort of open source anti virus program would be something i would look into if not i would keep with microsoft defender and security essentials.. Roll Eyes

You can find an alternative to linux for most software you use in a Windows environment. alternativeto.net will help.
There is no need to use an antivirus program in a Linux environment. If you need any software, you can download it for free from the linux distribution's repository. If the software you are looking for is not found in the repository, you can type it in the command line and install it with a few lines of code.
I also recommend taking a look at ubuntustudio.org distribution for audio, video and graphic enthusiasts.

If all goes according to plan the block reward will be replaced by fees.

The biggest advantage of the Bitcoin system against banking systems was that they could shop without paying commissions to any brokerage house.

Bitcoins biggest advantage is that its trustless. Anyway the plan is that more transactions will be included per block thus the total reward from fees will increase without the need for the fee per transaction to increase (significantly).

If this happens, can bitcoin preference be reduced?

Can you rephrase that?

That's what I want to say: If the scenarios I mentioned above happen, can people use bitcoin less? So people may not prefer to use bitcoin.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the mining profits decrease, will Bitcoin end? on: January 09, 2017, 01:42:20 PM
bitcoin will never end, there will always be someone who is going to use it.

also if reward drops, fees can be increased to cover the reward. also the price is rising pretty good and price has been covering the reward half even more than enough.

That's the point I want to mention. The fee will increase when the price value decreases. This time, people using bitcoin may give up using BTC because of the high fee value.
176  Other / Off-topic / Re: security in general on: January 09, 2017, 01:09:31 PM
Those who develop malware are able to bypass antivirus programs. Even if you use an antivirus program in a Windows environment, you will always be exposed to threats.
My advice is to use one of the linux distributions. I would recommend ubuntu or linux mint for someone who is new to it. Especially linux mint distribution is a system that people who are accustomed to using windows can easily use

Who in the world controls the bitcoin? I don't understand where it appeared and how it began to be one of the official currencies?
Who controls the course of Bitcoin?

Just like no one else controls torrent networks, bitcoin is not in control of anyone.
Actually, can this system be manipulated? The system does not control anyone with normal operation. Control is something that everyone in the system uses.
But do I have any weaknesses that I am most curious about? Can the system take control of someone in the future? I'm not sure about that.

Hello,

I'm researching bitcoin wallets, but I still haven't decided. Online wallets are said to be unsafe. I'm thinking of using one of the desktop wallet software. Which wallet you recommend is easy to use.
i use only paper wallets to hold ... and for regular daily work and trading i am using blockchain.info

What exactly is a paper wallet? How do you shop with your paper wallet. Is it different from other wallets?
