I see that this AM. I'm unsure if it is the same CraftCoin or not. Can anybody confirm? Well, there is no other actual craftcoin, and BitJohn was in here noting that he found this interesting, so yeah, it is. I already let him know, he said he'll fix it soon.

well, they want to raise it because it's on the verge of death. Why they care is another matter, most likely they have investments in it.

I'm running a block explorer at http://altcha.in/chain/PokercoinBounty/donations: 2C7jiGCzUDpKjGTBZaDiEzRRwEJF88axfMF EDIT: Also, I called it PKC. Is that what you have for a 3 char code? Source has "POK", but PKC looks much nicer imho.

I'm not a MineCraft player. Having read the blurb in the OP, I wonder what is the relation between Craftcoin and any other MineCraft currencies. Are there other currencies? Are they incompatible currently between servers? If so, how easy is the process of converting between the server currency and the Craftcoin. Or does the server which accepts Craftcoin do all their currency transactions in Craftcoin? Thanks!
The server plugin adds craftcoin functionality to that Minecraft server, allowing players to trade for goods in-game with craftcoins. The server manages the money and transactions much like exchanges do, allowing for instant transactions while on the server. Using it with the Vault and Satellite Trade plugins (as it should be) add security to ensure that another player can't just take your money and run without trading you the goods that were promised. You can deposit and withdraw your craftcoins from any server (or your local wallet) using these plugins at will. This has been discussed in depth on the spoutcraft forums thread. It should also be noted that while these plugins can ensure that a transaction gets carried out fairly, we can't do anything about them killing you and taking the goods back. Dealing with griefers is the server admins/ops jobs.

This is literally what Phenixcoin is for.Seriously, why? How do you expect to compete with phenix without bringing anything new to the table?

|

I'd like to see this implemented in a server first We were intending on having it implemented on a few servers long before we announced it here, unfortunately we were pushed to announce early.

why the dislike of non-p2pools?! I don't dislike regular pools, I just personally prefer P2Pools, hence why the bounty I set was from my personal funds.
|
|
|
I love how there's no expected bounty for regular pools and we already have 2 up, yet a bounty is readily offered for a p2pool and none have come forward.

diff now over 1
bitcointalk miners hammering away... this is why they kept this away from us initially... -tb- That and a few other reasons that are moot by this point. This just shows you what we are dealing with here!
From the craftcoin website;
I liek Craftcoin! Steve - Default Guy From Minecraft
Yikes!
Such as this ^ We were hoping to get this fully distributed and functional amongst the Minecraft community first, including getting actual reviews for the site and getting some servers that will be using this up and running.

Yes, that would likely be do to the mishap with the people that were trusted to compile the binaries not being trustworthy at all. It was a mistake on the devs part, rather than an intention to pre-mine.

Craftcoin has now been officially announced on BTCTalk.

Bounty! This is a personal bounty from my own wallet, I'm offering 300 CRC to the first craftcoin P2Pool. That's over 30% of my total coins (the pic in the OP is my wallet), so you better appreciate it!
P2Pool must be running for at least 5 days before I pay the bounty, I don't want anyone running a quick setup and bailing! Must have less than 3% fees, preferably using the fancy frontend but not absolutely necessary.
And with that I'm headed to bed for a few hours, ciao.

I know only one preferable coin. The one what momentarily makes the most profit for me... and that one keep changing from transaction to transaction. Everything else is just BS or personal sympathy . BTW PXC not really good at this moment. There's almost no difference between the sell and buy orders, so you have to trade it in huge quantities to make some profit. That's assuming you're only interested in crypto-currencies to make profit, which in my opinion, is the worst reason to be interested in crypto-currency. If you want to look at the long run future of a currency you look at what it is used for, what support it has, what innovations it has. Not how much you can dump it for at the most opportune moment.

Phenixcoin definitely has a future, the devs have put a lot of work into it and the services accompanying it.
Craftcoin is rather new, and I'm quite biased towards it given my involvement, but I beleive it also has a future for similar reason to PXC's.
Unfortunately the CRC dev team doesn't have nearly as much time, skills, money, and organization as PXC has, so there may be many bumps in the road ahead.

The fact that a craftcoin already exists changes my plans. Sorry for the real/previous/whatever craftcoin supporters, I just had this name in my mind but couldn't find it here so I used it, nothing more. I only wanted to see how the altcoin community answers to a new crapcoin. Haters: notice how OP wasn't modified, then read the white, tiny sentence at the end of OP, on the right.
No worries, i had assumed this was a joke and we hadn't expected anyone here to be fully aware of Craftcoin anyway. (We had been intentionally trying to keep it away from here for awhile after all.) Wasn't expecting anybody else to come up with the same name though, and we were just worried that it might cause some issues of imbeciles screaming "you ripped this off from jackjack!" if we had waited much longer after this. So I suppose it is we who should apologize for ruining your spot of fun here

I've had plans on using it for awhile, but it'll take even longer to fully flesh them out. Most likely someone will release something with this long before me.

Ok, followed directions as above, took craftcoin.conf straight from #3 with no changes, placed in the /AppData/CraftCoin directory, restarted the wallet, and restarted solo mining. This is the bottom of the debug.log file, am I mining?
--snip--
Looks like it, I've never bothered CPU mining with the client so I honestly can't tell for sure, but that's what it seems to be relaying.

yes, yes, I pass. next time I'll do a coin, and I don't remember how much I premined, what an originality, lmao Sorry mate, but I'm not the dev on this coin, I just did some graphical work and minor tweaks after the coin was already released. It's not my job to remember how much the dev pre-mined for the servers that are adopting this coin. The conf file isn't generated by the program, you have to create it yourself. Make sure to restart the client afterwards so it loads the new config.
|
|
|
Specs and sample craftcoin.conf added to Post #3premined 1000 blocks? and start with 7500 blocks? lol It's not "starting" with 7500 blocks. I've already clarified that this coin has been fully released and operational for days. BTCTalk is not the center of the crypto-currency world.
