definitely still interested in helping out as much as I can!

an updated version of cudaminer Smiley

Great haven't noticed an update.. THANKS! I got 130 to 150-160 just by updating, also now I can quit without a driver crash Smiley.
-m 1 (or -m 0) make no difference.

try -i 0 as well
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: April 21, 2013, 05:56:38 AM
Is there a way I can periodically terminate the cudaminer program without it crashing my video card driver?

I want to run a script to restart cudaminer, and my stratum proxy connection, on a timer but task killing the cudaminer process in windows also crashes the video card, so I lose my overclock settings.

Do you have the latest drivers? and version? this isn't an issue in the newer one

These projects always interest me. Anyone direct me on material to read to learn to design PCBs for FPGA miners?

165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CUDAminer problem on: April 20, 2013, 08:52:40 PM

I would fiddle with the -m 1 command with autotuning

I did this and was able to get another 10K out of my card

-m ? cudaminer doesn't seem to have such a command, or did I miss something?

an updated version of cudaminer Smiley

I thought maybe it was the hotel I was at...but nope this still still happening every few seconds:

[2013-04-20 00:10:34] GPU #0: GeForce GT 650M, 2113280 hashes, 35.20 khash/s
[2013-04-20 00:11:34] GPU #0: GeForce GT 650M, 2113280 hashes, 35.11 khash/s
[2013-04-20 00:11:34] JSON-RPC call failed: {
   "message": "Unexpected error during authorization",
   "code": -1
}
[2013-04-20 00:11:34] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 15 seconds
[2013-04-20 00:11:37] LONGPOLL detected new block
[2013-04-20 00:11:50] GPU #0: GeForce GT 650M, 8320 hashes, 30.21 khash/s

It does that then resumes every so often.

Seems like a pool issue to me?

My other machine on the same pool isn't having an issues. this only happened with the newest software update

I don't know much about Linux, but this was created for raspberry pi...Would it work on an actual box?

Everyone glued to the television it seems, watching news about Boston, MIT and pressure cooker bombs.

I'm not because of all the false information they've been through around. I figured I would just wait until it is all over with and the official report is released.
171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Vircurex ? on: April 19, 2013, 02:19:20 PM
Does anyone have any news on Vircurex? went down about 3 hours ago (shortly after my deposit cleared!)

maintenance from another thread.

@Lacan82 Which card do you have?

@supwang Yes, only BTC.

GTX 570 and  GT 650m

both have the issue
175  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: NVIDIA Kepler (K20) from 134MHash/s to 330MHash/s with CUDA on: April 18, 2013, 11:05:04 AM
I can't even get it to run. I get unable to load cuda module error. When I try compile the module myself per the instructions...I get this error:

LIBCMT.lib(crt0.obj) : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _main reference
d in function ___tmainCRTStartup
a.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals

No one can tell me how to fix it. I'm not much for a programmer..

Is your driver up to date? If not please upodate your driver and run the precompiled version.
Yes my drivers are up to date
176  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help please on: April 18, 2013, 01:32:12 AM
I am in the process of building my first rig, and I have everything together, but I don't know how to hook up the power supply cables to my GPU's. what I don't know is, there is two connectors on each card, so do I run two cables from the PSU to each card? And second, the cards came with Cross Fire cables. Do I tie the cards together with these as well?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You need to fill all connections on the GPUs

From my understanding card work better when they are working alone. Don't use the cable
177  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Having Issues With A 5-Card Setup (2.5 LTC bounty for fix) on: April 18, 2013, 12:53:36 AM
Check that Windows is Up to date.

You've updated the BIOS
Check the chipset drivers
run a registry cleaner. like ccleaner
Do a clean install of the video drivers

178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Starting to ltc mine (ISSUES) on: April 18, 2013, 12:36:18 AM
I planned on using cgminer to do my litecoin mining, I'm not an experienced only been at it about a week on bitcoins, but I'm running a single
nvidia quadro 600 and an older intel dual core. It didn't take me long to realize that with this setup I wasn't accomplishing anything over at slush's pool (except minutely adding hashrates to the network).

Now I'm using the wemineltc.com pool with cgminer, I generated my user .bat and placed it inside my cgminer file, executed it and viola.
It ran great excluding the fact that cgminer was only using my cpu, when I enable my gpu it crashes my drivers. specs below any information could help!!

Os: Win7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (C) DC 2.13 GHz
Chipset: P965
Motherboard: ASUS P5BW-LA
GPU: Nvidia quadro 600 - 1GBDDR3 - PCIe 2.0 x 16
GPU Driver: 311.35
Miner: cgminer-2.11.4-windows

Not sure if i should post this in Alternate currencies or here in technical sorry if it's wrong.

For NVIDIA switch to cuda miner. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0

Make sure you update your drivers

Mining LTC? I have a feeling youre not running scrypt. Can you take a screenshot of the miner up and running and post it here?

I am running

GUI Miner Scypt Alpha (Litecoin Edit)

Yes mining litecoins.

Any ideas as to what to do?

Go into show console and copy and paste the command it is trying to run when executing.

I tried this latest release, upon every start of it, it takes a long time to autotune, after auto tune is finished, if you restart the app, it auto tunes again. Shouldn't it auto tune only once?

Second, all it is reporting back after autotune is, new block found, no hash rate reported.

Reverted back to 04-04-2013 version for now.

If you are satisfied with what autotune does for you, then you can set that rate instead of autotune somehow. op help with this?

yes, you can use -l  type in the config it used.  so like -l 60x4 for example
