161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Creeping Towards $2000. Party in Miami if so! on: May 20, 2017, 02:59:45 PM
I d expect we see $2k this weekend.

After that, it ll depend on SegWit implementation. If that happens, $5k ll be a conservative price estimate.

5k based on SegWit being implemented, shit man, I hope these miners hurry up & reach consensus in the near future. That would be amazing, I never dreamt of 5k this soon.
If $ 5,000 That is a high enough argument in order to already give good prices. But it seems to me that you need at least to hope for something that is real, although with the future Bitcoin all is ambiguous.

Tongue
когда разразился скандал о том что Клинтон переписывалась ненадлежащим способом, то тогда Никто никого не увольнял . А тут почему-то действительно Этот человек стал как кость в горле.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: May 16, 2017, 04:34:25 AM
I really like the Bitcoin theme and the opportunity to earn with the help of crypto currency, and for today I'm still considering Bitcoin as a means of earning and therefore in my opinion I could only invest gold, because for today Bitcoin is only a commodity for me.
164  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are rich countries rich and poor countries poor? on: May 16, 2017, 12:28:48 AM
So I was just surfing the web during my downtime and the internet being a rabbit hole that it is, I realized I got to this page....  http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/20010817233944data_trunc_sys.shtml

Having read Guns, Germs and Steel before (as well as watching the documentary on Youtube), I was really surprised that the difference can be attributed to simple things like frost.

This got me thinking, if you believe the poor countries are already locked in to their fate by the cards dealt them, does this mean they are blameless for their current situation? Did colonialism really messed them up or it simply exacerbated an existing problem? And how can poor countries overcome the challenges to becoming 1st-World?

Thats popular in secular liberal circles in the west. To teach youngsters what collective guilt is and to instill fear upon them. People are more obedient that way.

Even though some western european countries managed (due to many factors) to extert control over many continents for several generations - there were already vast differences between cultures around the world. Some places like Africa and Australia being firmly stuck in animism and stone age. Other, like Europe and middle East lagged behind east Asia for most of their history (and arguably again today).

I have to agree with you - if you are only concerned about material possesions, than indeed environment is paramount. Since the world is so incredibly globalized today, IQ of population is not as important as the prevailing culture (which includes work ethics).

Koreans easily outperform any african nation, regardless of the fact, that after civil war they had lower living standarts and relatively poor soil.

Many point out East Asian excellence to Confucian ethics. Also, let's not forget China was the first civ to implement the civil service exam. The culture of meritocracy was all ready present there.
There is a proverb: why the poor, because the bad, and why the bad, because the poor, this is the case for the countries of Asia.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: May 16, 2017, 12:11:20 AM
Frankly it's so hard to stop gambling for good especially when gambling is already become our habit. Most people will leave gambling after they faced some bad experiences and they got a big problem because of it. But the possibility to stop gambling for good is exist and it depends on how hard we try to do so.
It is really not easy to quit the gambling at once if someone want to stop gambling then they will need to involve in any other activities which will reduce his timing in gambling and which will make him interesting there after that the chances will appear that this person will leave gambling or reduce the habit and will remain not addicted.

That is right and I wanna add that we should always bear in mind and heart that quitting on something that you already get addicted to is a process. Hence, you cannot really quit gambling in just one day, it is hard but and it takes some time, discipline, and perseverance to quit.
I will say that people often gamble for making money from a source from where they also get the entertainment so to replace that habit they have to think for a job or for a business in which they are more interested and in which they get fun then from there they will earn a good money too and they will stop from gambling.
In theory you are right, but I very much doubt that gambling people can quit gambling, just finding a replacement is not so easy.
166  Local / Новости / Re: TaaS планирует стать "Bloomberg в мире криптовалют" on: March 30, 2017, 02:18:26 PM
