Japan To Scrap VLOS Regulations By End Of 2018 For the operation of drone, beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) regulation is one of the major restrictions. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) demands drones to stay within operator’s vision. Naturally, this makes it difficult to establish an autonomous aerial delivery system. Luckily for Japanese companies, this regulation seems to come on a swift end. According to The Japan Times, Japan’s transport and industry ministers announced new rules that would be implemented by the end of 2018. BVLOS drone missions would be permitted and as far as the safety is concerned, it can be guaranteed remotely via cameras and sensors.
