1601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it fake sites ? please help.... on: April 08, 2021, 10:04:13 PM
hello i am new to cryptocurencies!!! i talked to a girl through tinder app and she told me she is from korea and her uncle had information about epc coin will rise...
it was in public offening and i bought it for 9usd per coin and now its about 52usd per coin....
i had invested 3000euros...

the two sites i used are coinmama.com and oksdaq.com
are these sites fake sites that try to steal your money ?
i am going crazy.....
public offering dont let me sell and it tell i can sell after 7- may - 2021

the money i had invested are now about 17000usd its equal to 15000euros ....

i bought it from IEO section in oksdaq.com

Both of this website is not familiar to me, but both of this website or exchange has a nice UI in the website and looks pretty legit in my opinion, with just testing and looking in the website but there is always a risk so I would go in other safer option if possible.

The thing here is it's not a well know exchange so I think I would not risk a big amount of investment in this kind of website and this website and centralized so they could pretty much do anything like freezing your money or account so that you could not take out your money in the exchange.

You don't need to worry about sometimes if you cant sell at a certain point it's like normal in my opinion in exchange to control the volume of a token.
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain games on: April 07, 2021, 07:22:15 PM
Probably the best blockchain game that I played and I'm playing right now is Lost Relic, the game was just so polished and just playing the game I can already see that this game has a really great future.

Considering that there is only one developer to this game, still, he's able to do this amazing game. Also with the use of ENJ token and how the blockchain item in the game works is really awesome work by the developer.

Aside from Axie Infinity which I think the best blockchain game, I think Lost Relic will be the 2nd, there are so many games being released but I'm certain that this game will stand out.

thanks for the tip for Lost Relic, will give it a try
Axie is probably the best game in crypto space, if we count-out Sorare fantasy football, which is a bit different type of game and experience and requires solid investment to start playing at the moment

nevertheless, some gaming tokens are on the rise, and this could be a good time to get involved in the space
Lost Relics is the best game so far. Axies has the advantage of having most players and more money in circulation, but Lost Relics has the best gameplay. It's one of the few blockchain games which have real action, 3D scenarios, adventures, enemies with different powers and skills, many weapons and items in general, gathering and manufacturing skills to upgrade, seasonal events with special rewards... And that is not all, because the game is still in pre-release version. There is a lot yet to come.

It's totally addicting not only because you can earn money through it, but also because it's a very well made game.

I agree with that for sure! It is just scary to have 1 developer Cliff, I can already see this game going to 150k players in just a year or in the end of 2021 for sure.

Just like what happened in the last eater update where Cliff needed to take the game down for almost a week because of so many issues.

At some point, Cliff needed a team if this game exploded to 10k players or even more, but the game is the best Blockchain game for sure, I really enjoyed playing and it really looks like a finished game compared to other blockchain games that is full of bugs and glitches.

With the rise in the cryptocurrency market so many adoption have been made, some are institutional adoption and secondly the individual adoption.
But will like to focus on individual adoption due to the fact that larg number are coming into cryptocurrency because they saw it as an investment for get rich quick,  while few others have the knowledge of cryptocurrency user case, in all dont get greedy use what will not hurt you to lose. BTC is not a get rich quick scheme it's a journey.

Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is obviously getting recognized by a lot of people because they are the best investment right now, even better than stock or any other investment that you could make.

A lot of people surely are gonna lose some money when investing in cryptocurrency because it almost like a gamble as we know the risk of investment in cryptocurrency, we will always have winners and losers.

The thing is people just have the wrong mindset that it is so easy to earn or become something like a millionaire in cryptocurrency that is why people easily lost money, I mean it's possible not it's not gonna be easy for sure.
1604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: April 06, 2021, 07:08:17 PM
Customers who hold bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash and litecoin in PayPal digital wallets will now be able to convert their holdings into fiat currencies at checkouts to make purchases, the company said.

The service, which PayPal revealed it was working on late last year, will be available at all of its 29 million merchants in the coming months, the company said.

“This is the first time you can seamlessly use cryptocurrencies in the same way as a credit card or a debit card inside your PayPal wallet,” President and CEO Dan Schulman told Reuters ahead of a formal announcement.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currency-paypal-exclusive-idUSKBN2BM10N

That's actually nice to have that kind of option especially in PayPal, hopefully, it could be used in a lot of cryptocurrency platform as well because we all use Paypal and we really need that fiat sometimes when we need to convert that cryptocurrency.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be a delay or something like what happened when the cryptocurrency was launch in Paypal where people cannot buy and sell or something.

As a widely used platform like Paypal, I have hopes that they have a lot of plans when the cryptocurrency in their platform. This could actually push the cryptocurrency a step to adaptation if Paypal continues to deliver and obviously a lot more companies and gonna be interested in sure in the future if this is recognized.
1605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retirement Funds Starting to Buy Bitcoins Nasdaq Say on: April 05, 2021, 04:42:58 PM
New Zealand retirement fund reportedly allocates 5% to Bitcoin
https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/new-zealand-fund-manager-puts-5-of-retirement-plans-assets-into-bitcoin%3A-report-2021-03-26

We all know how much money retirement funds have, so super good they starting buying, others will follow Smiley

This could actually be a good thing, it just the risk of the investment may be and if the person actually likes how it would turn out, or maybe they just don't like bitcoin.

5% is not bad at all and I think it's a good percentage because it's crypto and we know how the volatility works, we just don't know how this could affect the bitcoin or the market.

These companies are now into bitcoins and cryptocurrency so manipulations are definitely a thing in the future, for a retirement thing this could actually work most of the time for the long term.
1606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risks of instituations holding bitcoin on: April 04, 2021, 10:39:54 PM
That just means that as they accumulate a lot more bitcoin they will be able or there will be a lot more manipulation in the market which is a bad thing for the bitcoin community.

It's an easy profit if we hold our bitcoin with a strong hand because bitcoin for sure will be overpriced in the future, we just need to be the one who selling our bitcoin when the time comes.

If they sell a huge volume of bitcoin it could easily dump the market and then just buyback, potentially could be a pump and dump thing or scheme by this institution and companies.
1607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About 20% of all Bitcoin (BTC) in circulation was lost – Study shows on: April 04, 2021, 10:25:54 PM
Probably it's lower than 20% and there might be no actual way to know if the Bitcoin is already lost or the owner still got the bitcoin or still holding it in the wallet.

Most of it or most of the bitcoin wallets are not move at all so it was probably assuming all of the bitcoin that was not move was considered as lost already.

Either if it is already lost I think it will have a good effect on the market price of bitcoin because it just limits the overall supply of bitcoin making the market price of bitcoin pump.
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ADA Scam sites are unstopable? on: April 04, 2021, 10:15:20 PM
ADA is so hyped at the moment so we could easily expect a lot of scam website that is related to ADA and cryptocurrency at the moment.

I mean scams are just unstable in the cryptocurrency community and they have so many methods just to scam people on different social media platforms.

So just to be safe if you're in the cryptocurrency market you already know how the scam works here especially in the past year, so we could consider scams as a normal thing here so just do your research.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt season NOw on: April 04, 2021, 09:54:46 PM
As per the all the researches. Now commenced the Alt Season. Lot of giant youtubers , Websites indicates that alt season started.

I also personally believe that April for ALT. What is your experiences and view about this ?

I mean a lot of altcoins are pumping in the last past month and still counting so I think it is already altcoin season and probably it's gonna end around September or October.

People are trusting these YouTubers because you could really make some profit in some token but most of the issues are YouTubers are just pumping the token at some point, it's obviously a pump and dump scheme.

These YouTubers are just buying early or they could easily do it by just telling their friend to buy early to early make a profit in this kind of token so doing a youtube video about a token could be a pump and dump easily.
1610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which NFTs are worth the investment? on: April 04, 2021, 09:38:21 PM
NFTs are hot at the moment and there are a lot of NTFS that is really worth buying it, but the problem is some NFTs, in my opinion, is not really worth of what it is selling in the market.

So most of it is overvalued because people are just greedy about it putting it at a lot higher price in the secondary market even though it's just a cheap NFTs.

It's a great investment as long as you know what to buy and actually know that the NFTs have their value, not just some shitty one that is collectible or something, also it's better to buy directly to the artist if you want to make a huge profit.
1611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 04, 2021, 09:14:22 PM
I think sure, I mean most of the people think bitcoin is better than gold, also if you think just about the profit it's obvious that profit in bitcoin is a lot higher.

For sure a lot of investors than know bitcoin and gold is going to hold bitcoin than gold in the long run because of the higher profit even though you could consider it as a lot riskier than gold.

Some investors I guess then are not really into bitcoin stuff or just don't like blockchain technology would probably just go for gold because it's a good investment as well.
1612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick thought on how to help/save bitcoin. on: April 04, 2021, 08:46:24 PM
Just a thought, We have all witnessed how just a tweet from a top individual in society can influence the price of bitcoin. We have also seen many people tweet about something so much, it becomes a trend and something popular that almost everyone hears about. This has got me thinking; if we all collectively pick a day or a period of time and all agree to tweet, post and create a trend about bitcoin that will last a while on twitter or any other social media platform, will this help the current price of bitcoin get to a higher ATH?

It's a pretty great thing maybe but I don't think it will fit in Bitcoin and maybe it doesn't even need it at all, and all of the hype from tweets is just manipulation and hypes.

Without the demand, I don't really think it is going to work because most of the people are just gonna buy and then sell at a pretty rough timing so it's like a pump and dump thing.

But it could actually work depending on the tweet message if it is something that is positive or just not kind of positive news about bitcoin.
1613  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to prevent lost of 2FA key on: April 04, 2021, 03:57:02 PM
I mean if you lost your phone with your 2FA like Google Authenticator, straight up it was already lost and you can't really recover that authenticator when you relog or something.

Your best option at this point was to pm the support of the individual website that your 2FA authenticator is activated, or if you have the recovery code in the individual website you can still recover it.

Some websites have a recovery code for 2FA so that you could easily recover it but I don't think all websites have it or maybe it was just difficult to get the recovery code for some since it doesn't show in the website, or else you need to pm the support.
1614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A letter to all crypto heroes on: April 02, 2021, 07:29:19 PM
I want to use this opportunity to hail and thank crypto investors you are brave enough to buy at the top of the market, you guys are so courageous, many will definitely call this as a dumb move or something like that but the fact is you guys are the real reason why crypto keeps pumping

You people drives crypto to it's present state, you have my respect and salutes and also a big thank you

I mean that's true actually, I guess a lot of newbies actually did it, and actually, most of the investors would just buy at a high price especially if they know the potential of that token.

It could be a risky buy but I wouldn't mind buying when it's a low market cap token in the market and still has a lot of room to grow, the potential of pumping up to even higher for an even higher profit is there.

Also, some are just taking the risk because only a small percentage of the investors could exit at the peak of the market and you don't really know if it's already the peak.
1615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apple is considered safe but still you gotta be careful on: April 01, 2021, 09:15:55 PM
I'm not sure if y'all aware of it but if not: https://decrypt.co/63508/fake-trezor-iphone-app-scams-user-out-of-600000-in-bitcoin

Apple is known for it's rigorous process before allowing apps to it's app store, hence people tend to get bit loose with what they are downloading.

Fake trezor app passed through apple tests, multiple people fell for it, one with 17 BTC.

Don't depend on third party for your security.

Probably it is because some fake applications are allowed in the Store as well as the case in the Google store but when you compared the two there are many more fake applications in the Google play store.

Third-part applications have a lot more restrictions when using something like an Apple product, it might not be allowed when you download an application online and not from the store.

But we know it can be bypass at some point, but you could say that it is safer than windows or android software, but it is still not perfect so we still need to be careful.
1616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If You Buy btc Today and cash out one year on: March 31, 2021, 09:53:58 PM
If You Buy Today and You dont touch it before one year but You also dont read the news of btc bans and fuds Smiley  then You Will be wealthy.
As history have showed us its not a trading or ta or other Type of trading.
The most wealthy with btc are those who dont give s about corrections they just hodle one year or longer.

Most of the newbie  traders even Will be rich of crypto If they will not read news about crypto or btc at all at least one year.

Theoretically, you're going to get profit because if you just based on the supply and demand you can guarantee that the market price of bitcoin is going to pump and bitcoin is gonna cost more after a year.

But you need to make sure for the right time to buy bitcoin and the right time your gonna sell that bitcoin, In the 2017 Bullrun, we did experience around 20k$ and then drop around 3k$.

So if you going to make a sell in the scenario your not actually going to make a good profit, so you need to consider buying at the dips and selling when the price is at the peak.
1617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum to 100k? on: March 31, 2021, 06:46:47 PM
I see some crazy numbers being thrown around, one is an Ethereum coin going to 100k in 2030. How can you tell if a price prediction is too high in relation to market cap? Some people say some coins cannot hit a certain market cap. How can you tell if a market cap value is too much for a certain coin? I understand that there are coins where there are great number of circulating supply, but why can't they reach trillions in market cap?

I mean you could easily expect that for something like Ethereum that is already well established and 2nd top cryptocurrency in the market, it's obviously going there.

But at least consider bitcoin, we can see bitcoin still around 60k$ and the gap between bitcoin and Ethereum market price was huge so the Ethereum market could base to the bitcoin market how it is going to reach the market price of 100k$.

Just thinking about the 100k$ it's not an easy number so for sure we are going there but going to take a lot of time for the Ethereum market to reach that price as well considering there are a lot of issues right now in the Ethereum network.
1618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reliable Telegram groups? on: March 30, 2021, 10:09:47 PM
hi,

I joined since several weeks Telegram groups, I started with Binance English which I found quite funny then I've seen several channels for trading but mostly were scammers or people with poor technical analysis.
Do you recommend some good channels either for technical analysis or just for good signals?

thanks

Don't get the wrong idea Telegram is used in a lot of projects and in the cryptocurrency communities, mostly are communities it's not the telegram's fault if the projects are scams or something.

But I don't think signals are actually reliable for a telegram group since most of the time it could just be a pump and dump scheme most of the time and could easily be manipulated, I might if your going for a buying signal others could easily buy early to benefit and dump on you in the end.

So I guess you could just find legitimate groups just for the information or if you're going to the updates and discussions not actually for something like buying signals.
1619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government ban on crypto on: March 30, 2021, 09:08:05 PM
Question

Quote
Do you guys think Bitcoin has any chance of being banned by the government? I keep hearing people say that Bitcoin has a chance of being banned, yet I don’t think so because very powerful people like Elon Musk along with other companies are large investors. Is their any weight to that statement?

Answer

Bitcoin being illegal in the United States is highly unlikely for the following reasons:

1-According to the Howey test, the Trendon Shavers case established legal precedent that Bitcoin is not an illegal protection.
2-The IRS has already formalised its approach to Bitcoin (as an asset)
3-Many rich and well-connected people have personally invested in Bitcoin, and they would be upset if their political colleagues make Bitcoin illegal.
4-Traditional financial institutions in the United States, such as ICE/BAKKT (owner of the NYSE), Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, CME, and others, are now actively involved in Bitcoin mining, investing, and trading.
5-Exchanges such as coinbase, square, gemini, and others are now very big businesses that are actively interested in Bitcoin.
6-Many local states have case law and regulations on Bitcoin that makes it more difficult to make illegal.
7-There is a significant body of current case law in US courts that defines encryption and code to be covered by the first amendment.
8-Making it illegal does not ban bitcoin, but would rather show that they are a totalitarian government, albeit an incompetent one, since stopping Bitcoin is much more complicated than winning the drug war.

What are your thoughts?

There are a few countries where bitcoin is banned like China, Algeria, etc. but if we know how the internet works you could easily access bitcoin or cryptocurrency even if it is banned in your country.

Something like a VPN thing could easily be used to bypass but it might actually just depend on what website that you are going to use if they are going to were going to allow the access.

I mean there are some websites that does not allow the use of VPN, it not that risky because you could always buy a VPN if you want to buy bitccoin.
1620  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have "$x" what shoud I buy Tweets... on: March 30, 2021, 02:35:02 PM
I frequent twitter and I always see "Crypto Influencers" posting things like;

"What alt will make me rich this weekend", and "I have $10k what should I be buying, etc.

My question is are these types of tweets good for crypto in general?

Maybe not, or maybe a little because we see a lot of these tweets online and probably tweets could hype a token in the market like what happened to some like DOGE or something.

I don't like hype because after that it would guarantee to go to a downtrend but I guess the influence is also there or maybe some people see the tweets are influenced to try cryptocurrency.

But there are only a few people who actually buy or depend on tweets or comments, maybe some newbies but still, you need research and everything.
