this deserves a sticky. Salty Spitoon, hook it up!
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 14, 2013, 10:56:05 AM
this coin is a stain. that is all

care to explain OR better yet say ONE coin better and reason.

there are many coins that are better than this one. none of them are cpu coins, which are a de-evolution in cryptocurrency. the point of cryptography is to increase entropy, not the time it takes to solve for x.
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 14, 2013, 10:54:07 AM
Bye bye Quacks

ha ha you poor children think , we were relying on a single exchange that is going to list us anyhow ?

wow when you take a break from WOW , do you find the world strange and amusing ? do you find it hard to focus on one thing for more than 20 seconds ?

ha ha - you think people care what you think , that is the cutest part-
instead of shitting on people why don't you offer some actual debate?
Every single thing that comes out of your mouth just proves how much of a shill you are for quark.
You obviously hold a considerable amount of quarks, enough so that you are blind to the reality of the situation.
Maybe you are in on it? Maybe you just got lucky.
I think if I had a couple million quarks, I too, would shill for this perverse system.

Because hey, if it makes me rich, it can't be that bad right?

Oh, you're like this guy --

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1rr4eg/keiser_promoting_another_scamcoin_pump_and_dump/cdq23iy

Ok, what points do you have against Quarks?

It's a worthless, frontloaded scamcoin with obscene block rewards, designed to reward early investors/miners. quark is a clone of sifcoin anyway, which actually made the innovations. Secure coin is no better than quark, since baritus removed the quark copyrights, but atleast it has realistic block rewards.

Good luck with it FreeTrade. let me know if you get it up and running again.
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][OSC] Ocoin Giveway 300 OSC - new exchange on: December 13, 2013, 07:28:09 PM
this isn't a real giveaway thread. a scammer started it in an attempt to distribute his wallet stealing fake client. the real giveaway ended long ago.
1607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: oxyon/joshzerlan@gmx.com/panama/Sweden_ etc. IS A SCAMMER. on: December 13, 2013, 07:17:23 PM
I am the victim referred to in this post (obviously, due to my username). Feel free to PM me if you'd like more information. This is my story, and if it makes me more vulnerable to this scammer, so be it. People deserve to and should know.

So your solution to being extorted by oxyon, is to extort me? lol. great plan
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OSC]OpenSourcecoin-- Online wallet launched @ http://coinbit.pw on: December 13, 2013, 06:40:07 PM
There seems to be quite a large increase in mining activity for OSC which is great.

Regarding the name of the coin, what steps are being taken to more closely align it with the open source community?

feel free to contact the OpenSource Initiative.

Nice tool! I could mirror this on http://whiskers75.com if you like Wink

Got an .exe (for windows)? Or does that go against the philosophy? I liked your dice2key one.
The idea is that you don't use the most hackable OS in the world to make your keys ;P

speaking of being hacked..  Tongue
1611  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoinstore.com-- Order system ate 410 dollar order, support tickets ignored. on: December 11, 2013, 05:16:22 AM
they are still ignoring my support tickets. they claim to send me emails, but i'm getting my normal facebook notifications and other emails, but none from them. i asked MemoryDealers in pm about the status of my order, the response was to email slatska@bitcoinstore.com, and my questions are still unanswered about my order, and where exactly my money is, if they are acknowledging my order, or what is going on. be cautious about ordering from them, they ate 410 dollars of my money and now are ignoring me.

How long have you waited since you placed the order before posting here?

well, i've never had problems from them in the past, but i couldn't get a response from them via email, so i kinda started freaking out a bit.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx: Fee shares-extended to 50 additional shares by demand on: December 11, 2013, 04:34:53 AM
The code in github looked to me to be a pretty simple implementation.  Have you done any scalability or other testing on it?  If you manage to get some decent volume out of the gate - which is quite possible given the demand and the state of other exchanges right now - do you have a plan to scale it and keep the wheels on the bus without going underwater for awhile like what the cryptsy folks are dealing with?  Are you going to have an API for bots?  What kind of load might that represent?  Trade execution times?  Queues? Transactions?  Rollback?  What if the site crashes?  How will you reconcile the trade activity, what if not all of your queries succeed, are you going to wait for support tickets and do it manually, but then what if you have 4000 support tickets and you don't have enough data to reconstruct the market state and replay transactions?, error handling, etc. etc. etc.

the trading system has been completely reworked, from the wallets up, with rollback and a history table we're working on order stacking and combining at the moment. were pretty confident we've solved the issues of the first implementation. these changes are not necessarily reflected in the repo. i mentioned in the post prior to yours that justin was working on the api.

penetration testing position has been filled.

still seeking an additional moderator/support staff. ability to speak both chinese and english is desired.

Is the code necessary to trading coins finished?

yes. the entire site is more or less complete. the trading has been done for some time. the server company is having trouble stocking the processors we need, but they delivered us a smaller, temporary server to test the site on until our server is ready. we should have the site moved over tomorrow and begin our final stretch of testing/tweaking. justin is almost finished with the api, we're extremely close, and its been frustrating. our server was supposed to be here last week, and its still not ready.

no answer?

the same amount.

How much profit did you get from the dump?  Just curious.

i never dumped, i sold it in chunks of 500-1000 slowly overtime, i was paying muddafudda in chunks of 10000-20000 coins for each fix /revision.

Please check your spam filters.

1617  Economy / Service Discussion / bitcoinstore.com--issue resolved. on: December 10, 2013, 07:22:27 PM
This issue was resolved finally, however i am very displeased by how i was treated by Roger, the owner or manager of bitcoinstore, who asked me to take my business somewhere else in the future, because i was cussing. I wouldn't have been cussing if my issue would have been handled and an effort to keep me in the loop were made. i was basically in the dark until i talked to Zlatko, the support/Operations Manager, who filled me in and caught me up to speed. I have been a loyal and a repeat customer. Zlatko helped me, but it took alot of badgering MemoryDealers in pm for me to get the email address. why would you act like this. I emailed the support@bitcoinstore address repeatedly and got no response. i even tried emailing old support tickets. In the end i wouldn't have got it figured out if i wouldn't have pm'd roger and bugged him about it, but why should it have ever escalated to that point? it should have been resolved via support instead of the forums. very unprofessional.

I'll tell you this much, anywhere you see blazr or tecshare leaving positive feedback, run as fast as you can. its a scam. I don't wanna bring up past issues, but that's the truth. be very careful with blazr and tecshare.

He looks like a guy who was a pretty good trader until he got a bit too greedy and deicded to YOLO it.
That's all.  Roll Eyes  Sorry for your loss.

actually i misspoke. its not Techshare that is a scammer, its a similar username
1619  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning! Do not use Coinbase.com Scam Artists! on: December 10, 2013, 12:20:05 AM
i've used them only once. I agree they are a wierd service. they say two days to your bank account, then it takes a week. they do all this wierd shit to confirm your identity, which includes random ass questions about some address you lived 10 years ago, and about random people from your town. fucking wierd as shit. then, you always fail the identity verification, its so fucking dumb, and an obviously rigged system to prevent you from getting to level 2 or 3 or whatever the hell it is. So in the end, they aren't exactly a scam, they are just a strange bunch of folks with odd ball ways of doing things and a misleading company line.
