I'm glad I made my fomo mistakes well before this dip.  Otherwise, I'd probably be making some pretty awful decisions today and posting a whisky fueled rant on here right about now.

Instead, my fiat arrived this morning to my exchange and is now converted to BTC.  BTFD FTW.

Here's what gets my goat. I don't trade and my fiat fountain has temporarily gone dry. Dips like this go to other people. I honestly don't like that. There's a competition in me...

So if I'd told you this time last year ten grand for Christmas would've been a disaster, to which institution would you have had me committed?

What concerns me is all the people that just got rekt, not the ones that didn't

will we hit 13k?Huh

yeah, probably

probably see the 11s at least

ho hum

Did you sell? Ho hum?

not near enough, a pittance yes

I am not even joking though, this is a VERY healthy development.  Finally we get a pullback almost worthy of the name, I was starting to get a little worried that this thing was getting overheated.

Everybody set your chart to log scale, pull out to 3 day candles and chill the fuck out.

Well, I just sent my pittance in. Hopefully it gets there before we die.

My own greed led me to this. Embarrassed

I suck

Someone yesterday on LedgerX bought $1 million dollar worth of $50,000 Dec 2018 Call options.

About 275 contracts. Hence someone thinks it will go at least >$53,600.

That was a cheap ruse. These guys cleaned up.

Boise, this was a real problem, mostly ducks.  I think they eventually had to change the color.

This is symptomatic of a much wider problem: Nature. It's a shambles.

I believe it's been only a week above $15k and like 2 weeks above 10k so I can't say it's actually DROPPING

It was $19k. Now its $14k. I can say it's actually dropped. But I guess everyone can see that already.

He's right you know. We always worried that the fee market wouldn't work. Well proof is in the pudding.

Complete thread here - http://bitcoin-development.narkive.com/7lfUFGW7/total-fees-have-almost-crossed-the-block-reward

I'm intrigued to see how much tolerance users will have for this. Perhaps rather less than they're banking on.

It will drive lots of users to BCH. If I was starting out in Bitcoin today... I wouldn't be. It gives me pause.

Well done miners, trying to kill bitcoin. The price dumping hard, the fees very hard... Useless network.

This actually makes me wonder how much I paid for fees today. I used arbitrage opportunities to transfer coins between exchanges for some trades and ended up with more coins than I sent out. But I didn't really pay attention to whether or not the fees were significant for the BTC transfers...

Soon it will cost more to send a coin than to buy one. Undecided
Even if that was the case, it'd become virtually free once LN rolls out.

Not holding my breath.

I'm going to start to panic soon. I don't like it when Bitcoin goes down a lot, then doesn't come right back up.

Some perspective, Rosewater:

Bitcoin has remained above $10,000 for only 20 days now, and above $15,000 for 10 days. (Bitstamp)

It has traded above $18,000 a whopping 4 days, only 1 of which it remained above $18,000 all day.

Bitcoin IS up, and remains bullish AF. You just need to zoom out on the charts. Start looking at 1 day candles, instead of 1 min. Go for a walk. Try and forget about Bitcoin for a week. A month. A year if you can. Go on vacation. It'll still be here when you return.

Alright. I've never been on vacation. Good call.

Ok Rosewater, relax, you got this. Breathe. Just a small bump in the road. Fat cats want your coins. Think of the fat cats. Get angry.
Just calculate your net worth in Bitcoins, not in Dollars. Problem solved.
I assume then that you have a million Bitcoins and you plan to make it rain. Problem solved. Smiley
