1601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Get Difficulty Down? on: June 29, 2011, 05:22:02 PM
LOL! Seriously, how many girls read the Bitcoin forum? I mean I'm progressive and down with that "equality" shit, but chicks don't know squat about FPGAs and such wonders.
I don't even know what an FPGA is, but I've been an avid gamer for a while now.  D2/WoW/StarCraft.  The hardware side of gaming kind of led me to Bitcoins.

A fair point well made. I stand partially corrected.

Tell me, have you ever heard of a woman called Jeri Ellsworth?

What's this? Your counter-arguement based on one or two freak examples pulled out your ass? Sorry buddy, if you want to
preach fantasy egalitarian commie bullshit then you're in the wrong place.

Chicks = kitchen

That's the only equation that applies here.

A Compromise To Avoid World War 3.
Ben F Rayfield, 2011.
All my writing, here or anywhere else, permission granted to copy, since redundant is harder to censor.

This is about slavery to money and a way to change that by open-sourcing the economy using a common identity-verifying system and leaving other functions to the open-source code, for example, a branch of Bitcoin which has an extra key held by a.......

Could you summise this rambling monologue into, say, 2 sentences? Reading the OP is like wading through lard, I gave up after the first paragraph.
1604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: POLL: What name would you give to the smallest unit of bitcoin (0.00000001)? on: June 29, 2011, 10:46:03 AM
How about a "ringpiece"

Let me win right here and I will split the reward evenly among myself and every person that sends me a PM.

sorry to piss on you chips, buddy
1607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I feel it is my duty to warn you all. on: June 28, 2011, 07:26:04 PM
Fair enough. Why do you think I have not started an exchange in UK? Yep, could not afford or raise 200-500k£ required to get FSA license and cover compliance costs.

Good point buddy. Innovation not regulation.
1608  Other / Off-topic / Re: Beyonce and pop music today on: June 28, 2011, 07:22:31 PM
I know that Beyonce is big. But I am now embarassed to see her pop on TV when I am watching TV with family.

Why? Because she just looks like a complete whore now! Is this really what popular music has become in 2011? What has happened to popular music? What has happened to young women?

It seems that the feminists have gotten their way but have ended up actually denigrating their own gender. And in the name of what? So-called "equality"?

You don't see men flailing grappling their schlongs on stage (MJ aside). Why do women want to appear like sluts these days?

Yeah, you see we're in the End Times and everything goes to shit. Its all over the Western world, shitty tv, music, movies etc. It's all porn and gore without merit.
Not to mention wars and all the reporting of volcanoes and shit.

Hey what about pool miners? Do we get a cut of these transaction fees?
1612  Other / Off-topic / Re: Last Person to Reply Wins 1 BTC! on: June 28, 2011, 06:08:46 PM
Perhaps we need some rules about requirements for the contents of the posts for eligibility?

Also, perhaps it would be good to have a forum section for things like this where posting doesn't add to your post count...

^^^^^^^^
Whats with all the rules all of a sudden? If you want rules then join the army buddy! Bitcoin
is a free for all, the rebalution is coming at you and it shaped like a chimp
1613  Other / Off-topic / Re: Last Person to Reply Wins 1 BTC! on: June 28, 2011, 04:43:11 PM

1614  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoins For The Common Street Moron? on: June 28, 2011, 04:37:34 PM
Don't underestimate the "common" people.

Early adopters of new internet technologies are not always who we think they are.

see:

It is migrants, rather than geeks, who have emerged as the “most aggressive” adopters of new communications tools

Migrants were doing videoconferencing 5 years before everyone else. Migrants will also be the first large group to adopt bitcoin IMO, not because they find it sexy but out of necessity.

Nice post, thanks

1616  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoins For The Common Street Moron? on: June 28, 2011, 02:15:26 PM
One of the big things holding Bitcoin back from the bigtime is that the average office drone doesn't understand it.
Whenever I raise the subject, I get that all too familiar glazed look of someone too lazy to activate their brains. They
just don't want to understand.

It reminds me of the home computer and internet booms, people only get on-board once a) they are compelled to for work and
b) its mashed up and dumbed down for them not to have to think

So what's the best way to wrap up or dumbdown bitcoins down to get the average zombie to use them? Obviously change
 the name for a start
1617  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: another 3% mining increase with poclbm kernel.cl on: June 28, 2011, 12:07:04 AM
basically, add a  __local  key keyword to this line and it should increase your performance.
Sorry, this doesn't work for me, performance dropped 33% instead.
Are you using an ATI card? I know that I get a similar drop on my Nvidia, but I only have one and no ATI.  This may only work with ATI, all the reports are with ATI cards.

Only works with ATI card mate. Nvidia are a load of bollocks anyway with Bitcoin, total waste of time.
1618  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ladies Thread on: June 28, 2011, 12:04:35 AM
There are already 2 threads like this one. Please catchup the conversation on them.

Yeah, like I'm going to search for a bunch of frikking feminist bullshit here. I just want the tech, buddy,
1619  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: another 3% mining increase with poclbm kernel.cl on: June 27, 2011, 10:26:11 PM

1620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough with the elitist crap on: June 27, 2011, 10:05:42 PM
...and they would exist because?

this is one weird-ass minutae. I wonder if a turnip has grown in the shape of a bitcoin symbol yet?
It was a joke linking the OS war and the lisp comments above my post with the vi vs emacs holy wars.

That's a fair reply and I am humbled.
