Philip the $2.5k price doesn't include duties. Essentially its the unit price with shipping with paypal and our commission. Did you need help with customs? we can set that up.

It also looks like you selected a paid shipping option when this was manufacturer direct, which we'll credit as well. If you like we can set up customs clearance using your surplus funds (shipping and commission refund), but there will be a reminder balance likely to collect. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

edit: Looks like a bit in credit so it should cover a fair amount of the duties/tariff. DM me on telegram and we'll talk through it when you have time. I'm personally running your final invoice now. Link is on site.

I just was texted a bill for 338.22  for duties I paid it in full before the edit.

sending you a pm here to get telegram dm from you.
16002  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: September 11, 2019, 05:08:14 PM
I did this all with minefarmbuy   so he is supposed to handle all customs tariffs. I paid quite a bit for that 27 or 28% extra IIRC.

I wanted to do at least one purchased through him with it fully handled on his end.

We need more gear in clifton  at least 400th if it is all s17 pro gear.  Although we may mix  with s9 and s17 pro

I can do the s9 direct with no trump tax if I order 2 or 3 units.

minefarmbuy may do the s17 pros.  we will see.

Unfortunately for innosilicon the late shipping of the t3 50  caused us to not order t3 53 for oct delivery.

companies need to know late shipping costs them.

right now  the t17e and the t17  are both better deals then the inno t3 53  the late shipping on their part on a lot of the gear  cost them business.

BTW  inno made do effort to adjust for the delayed gear.  minefarmbuy the reseller is going to reduce the commission to 0% to make up for the delay.

So I am quite a bit turned off by the delay.
16003  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: September 11, 2019, 01:49:14 PM
yeah my tracking is fresh it shipped on sept 11 hong kong time or sept 10 new jersey time.

it is due on thurs the 12th

it is in Cincinnati  with this notice:

Quote
Further Detail:
Further clearance processing is required.
Next Step:
A DHL representative shall attempt to contact importer or shipper if any further information is required to complete the entry. Customer should contact DHL Customer Service if not reached by DHL

I suspect that has to do with fees/tariffs  which minefarmbuy will handle.
16004  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Protection of miners due to voltage fluxes. on: September 11, 2019, 11:20:27 AM
the grid is in an old section of the town.

trouble started in the summer.

I am getting the one unit from amazon today

It will be hard wired.

I have a few  higher end  mining units I am looking to protect.

I do agree a new transformer may be the correct solution.
16005  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Learn from my mistake (load balancing) on: September 11, 2019, 11:00:12 AM
@ mikeywith and jbillk you are both right. leave it at that.

The english language  plus internet can lead to this apparently contradictory statement I just made..

I see and read both points  and both are correct.

As for 50 amp or 80 amp breaker vs correct wires.

code = 50 amp

but it is China

I grew up in New York City and in a lot of places or sections of NYC  work is done against code.
16006  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What and why? When your pool begins to fall behind. on: September 11, 2019, 12:16:56 AM
Your concern is valid, I have made my decision a long time ago when I decided to take mining as a business and not just a hobby, therefore, it only makes sense to mine at large pools, I tried almost all large/mid pools and found out that recently and for now viabtc with pps+ option is the best for me, when and if I grow my hashrate to a good extent whereby I get to the point that my hasharate will really help a small pool hit block in a very reasonable time frame then all of this could change, but since this is not the case now I rather be on the safe side.

Personally I am think of taking off all next year I need a vacation. Tired of all the drama. Worry about a lot of shit and I do not earn a ton of money doing this.

Cry  this drama comes from having partners to deal with i suppose?  I can relate

well  I like my partners.

But  I changed my business model to join them.

I sold well cared for gear  mostly here on bitcointalk.
I gave good deals and it was a working model for years.
USA changed  some tax laws and my model simply generates way too much paperwork to be worth doing.

So  just mining would be good but having 4 of us to think of is different model for me.  I am not used to it.

And going back to my old way  won't work due to new usa tax laws.

So  selling off my piece of the farm  getting all my taxes corrected for 2018 and 2019  will take until 2020 oct or nov.

I do not want any crypto activity for that time.
16007  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: StrongU STU-U8 Pro 60th at 2800w on: September 10, 2019, 04:43:05 PM
I would advise no one preordering this miner.  StrongU is doing terrible in delivering to customers this year.  I as well as many others are STILL waiting for 1st batch July delivery from the U6, and no one I know has heard anything about shipments from original U8.  Yet.. they are now taking orders for a "NEW" improved model of the u8 already.  What a joke..  If anyone has gotten a u6 or u8 from StrongU can we please post here?  I repeat again, I advise anyone against preordering this new model as no models from the orders they took in spring have shipped yet.

Thank you for this info.  I hope that you come to a good resolution on this.

16009  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BITMAIN.COM Everything Discounted 25 % on: September 10, 2019, 03:36:06 PM
Sorry it worked out like this.
I gave up escrow work due to constant fake escrow work.

Member a wants a deal with member b

15 pms later no deal.

Once in a while that is normal.

I would get the above ten times a week.

I would get two small problem escrows that went through each week that would involve

50 or more pms to respond to on a 100 dollar sale.

My fee was 2 dollars. For a 100 dollar sale.
I suspected the small problem escrows were part of a pattern.

So I raised minimum fee to 10 dollars.
That is when the endless requests to escrow that simply fell through started.
I realized it was an effort on scammers to get me to not escrow.
I still escrowed.

I stopped escrowing when I started being doxxed on eBay bad buyer lists.
My name address phone number published with false accusations against me was enough to realize doing escrows here are not worth doing.

I admire OgNasty for still doing escrows. As it is not easy work for low pay.

A lot of effort was done to get me to quit escrows. Translation people want to scam in this section. Be careful who you buy from.

16010  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What and why? When your pool begins to fall behind. on: September 10, 2019, 03:11:03 PM
Having mined at small pools a block every 3 days is good.

Since  that is 144 x 3 = 432 as the ‘norm’. So that is 1/432 x 83,000 ph

About 200 ph is good.

Your norm is 10 blocks in a month. Which means you should get enough blocks to pay the power bill.

If the pool is 20 ph and the norm is 1 block per month it is not difficult to go blockless for two months and have a power bill issue.
16011  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: September 10, 2019, 03:02:37 PM
Minefarmbuy and blokforge take PayPal.

I buy from them at times.

I have also paid offordscott a broker with PayPal.

There are a few other companies that will let me use PayPal.

More due to my status on bitcointalk. Ie my trust is very good.

I actually did get tracking for both the hp laptop and for the t3-50

the t3-50 is due this thursday.
16012  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: September 10, 2019, 02:14:29 PM
So it does not do 50T  I suspect it will do more like 45T  and that if you set to Balance+  more like 42t

I also think best settings for warmer rooms 80f or 27c  need to be Balance + or Balance ++

If you do factory settings in a warm room it will not work well.

I think I may have gotten a ship notice for the gear.  From fedex

does the chinese city above look familiar?

some one is shipping gear to me from there.

It could be  a HP laptop  or the t50.
16013  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Learn from my mistake (load balancing) on: September 10, 2019, 03:56:05 AM
I will mention I was up in Clifton today.

We have three phase and we are having a low voltage issue.

I know you mention you have some low voltage protection gear in some of your installs.
I am not sure if this install is using any low voltage protection.
But if you balanced wrong and volts drop to say 190 or 185 many psu’s will attempt to continue to run.

So try and check if that spot has good voltage levels.

A 210 volt setup will do 12600 watts and take 60 amps

A 200 volt setup will do 12600 watts and take 63 amps

A 190 volt setup will do 12600 watts and take 66.3 amps

I am glad it was just a melted breaker.
16014  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: September 09, 2019, 11:37:21 PM
Not my gear. Minefarmbuy said no shipping notice as of today. Also true of other single unit buyers.

Honestly they did me a favor. I purchased two t17e units today. I was going to buy two t3 53 for oct delivery as soon as I got my t50.  So their delay lost them a sale of of two t3 53 units.

I am sure many other buyers of the t50 wanted to order t53 pieces and waited for the t50 to show.

Then bitmain came out with the t17e 53 th for 1665 clearly much better then the Inno t53.

So the delay from Inno means I will get the bitmain and not the t53.
16015  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 11:14:23 PM
Yeah gear is more industrialized. Many 3000 watt units. Costing 2000 usd and up.  This all makes a smaller miner on the edge.

16017  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: A general H/s question on: September 09, 2019, 11:03:55 PM
you are 180 degrees from the truth. But i digress.

Your chances of a block are 450/830000000000 each block or about 184,444,444 to one on each block.

You have 450gh the network has 83,000,000,000gh so devide your hash by the networks hash.

Good luck with that block.
16018  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 10:12:27 PM
Plus it doesn't matter where its shipped from, its where its made that matters. So unless they are actually making the circuit boards and assembling the miners in Malaysia then surely they'd have to declare it as made in China.

which is yet another reason why it is too much to ask of an escrow.

I can see 100 x 1665 = 166500 x .276 = 45954 in tariffs on the t17e
16019  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: September 09, 2019, 11:39:41 AM
