16061  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My Swing Developer / Hero account stolen - sold to Altcoin4Life in scam loan on: January 30, 2016, 01:20:14 AM
<snip>

You'll forgive us if we don't pity you for stressing out over something so inconsequential as a message board account. Your arrogance is not a good trait in this scenario, someone else has lost money because of your incompetence and you want to walk away for free. This is your fault at the end of the day, at the least you did not use a secure password on your account and at the worst you have stolen a loan.

There are two options that I can see: You pay altcoin half of what he lost to have the account returned or have the account returned for free, but receive a tsunami of negative rep making it useless.
Oh the fucking irony.  This is totally scammer logic--if you're too stupid to keep your stuff locked up, it's OK to steal it.  It's his account, period.  All the other whining and bargaining that Altcoin4life is doing is trying to put unwarranted blame on the scam-ee.  Swingdev might have been lax, but that's the extent of the blame on his end.
16062  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Newbies from Currency Exchange on: January 30, 2016, 12:06:28 AM
OP I tend to agree with you on this but bct doesn't even ban scammers even when they're caught.  A lot of people just create new accounts to fish for suckers and they abandon them when no one bites.  So restricting newbies would help that.
16063  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Suspect hacked/bought accounts trying to scam on: January 29, 2016, 11:32:14 PM
Well I posted something asking for the evidence of a transaction.  They're not obligated to post anything, but a senior member should know how paranoid people are on bitcointalk.  Good sleuth work I have to say if this is indeed a self-transaction.
16064  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling my BTC for € on: January 29, 2016, 11:31:06 PM
There are some accusations flying around here about passwords being changed and so forth.  Do you have any blockchain proof of a transaction?
16065  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: dj6230 scammed me. My 60 dollars amazon for his 39 dollars btc on: January 29, 2016, 09:45:32 PM
Wow, he had green trust?  I did not think it was possible to get it so fast, but that probably just showcases my ignorance about how the trust thing works around here.  I did see he had (+) trust from folks on DT, which I now assume he probably farmed in order to scam.  Interesting, and I do hope everyone who got scammed gets their btc back--if that's possible.  And props to the DT members who painted him red.
16066  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Future Scammer on: January 29, 2016, 09:38:44 PM
OP, prove that he's an alt of idyu or hush. being suspicious because of the msdn admin account is okay, but your other accusation are just full bullshit without proof.

So now I can't accuse anyone in the scam accusation forums? Again I'll just bump this up after he scams someone because its only obvious to a few. GL newbies idyu will balls your chin or whatever dumb sht he says after he scams
Yeah, except what you brought is relatively flimsy and I doubt any DT members are going to act on this.  Part of the reason someone gets on the DT list is because they use good judgement, which requires facts and evidence.  No?
16067  Other / Meta / Re: why ban fox19891989? on: January 29, 2016, 04:37:12 PM
I can't believe they're actually claiming ignorance, as if copying like that would be somehow acceptable if there wasn't an explicit rule. This shouldn't need a rule at all; it's blatantly obvious that you don't go around copying like this.

Actually I'm going to assume they used a script to automate this process. Would it be useful to have a script checking for duplicate posts?

It seems dear fox had been doing this for a long time before they got caught and if my assumption is right it would be fairly trivial for them to change their script and start using another account with it.

Specially someone who has been registered since 2013 with more than 5k posts. Like what has he been doing all these years? Unless the account was sold there is no way he didn't know and if he really didn't know he should still be banned for his stupidity, honestly.
Jesus.  I didn't even look at his profile but he definitely should have known better.   I think the account was probably sold but I don't have evidence of this.
16068  Other / Meta / Re: why ban fox19891989? on: January 29, 2016, 03:54:38 AM
Copy and paste = permanent.

didn't see the rule in the list shown in 9th floor, and you should give me a chance please, i made good posts before, and i will do more contributions to this forum.

if i saw this rule of course i wouldn't do like that, so forgive me and i am very sorry.

You shouldn't have to be told to not copy and paste other's posts. It's spam. You knew exactly what you were doing and that it wouldn't be acceptable.
This.  It's common sense, and you can't honestly claim you didn't know what you were doing was wrong. So save all the bullshit. Good riddance.
16069  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Image captchas have to be completed twice???? on: January 29, 2016, 03:45:13 AM
Some of these captchas are nightmarishly tedious and some are just straight up sadistic.  Unfortunately I'm totally addicted to one dogecoin faucet and I do it a few times a day.  I tend to prefer the ones where you have to enter some number that's written on a mailbox or street.  Those aren't bad and I can see them on my cell phone.  Others, like the ones where you have to identify all the Chinese food or something like that--those make me want to strangle someone.  I can hardly make out what's what.
16070  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My Swing Developer / Hero account stolen - sold to Altcoin4Life in scam loan on: January 29, 2016, 03:39:09 AM
I agree with Blazed and everyone else here.  I think it's a total asshole move on Altcoin4life's part to keep the account after he fucked up the due diligence.  It's the wrong thing to do and this forum remembers things like that.  By doing this, Altcoin4life is placing a very, very specific value on his integrity, and that value appears to be quite small.  Just sayin'.
16071  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: have cash on paypal, need a few bit coins on: January 29, 2016, 03:36:31 AM
OP, probably you're not going to be able to do deals on this forum with PayPal.  You're just too new and PayPal can be charged back, so it's probably the least ideal method of buying bitcoin.  As I mentioned in another thread however, there are places like wesellcrypto.com that sell btc and some other altcoins for PP, but the markups are pretty large.  They're definitely reliable though, and I've used them in the past.  Good luck to you.
16072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a manipulated coin? on: January 29, 2016, 03:27:33 AM
OP, this is a stupid poll.  You need to define what manipulated means, because your mileage may vary.  Can whales change the price of bitcoin somewhat at whim?  Yes, because the market cap is small relative to the stock of Pfizer or Coca-Cola, for example.  Every buy/sell order manipulates the market to some extent.

Do you mean by governments or something like that or the miners?  What do you mean?
16073  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Paypal need BTC. on: January 29, 2016, 03:22:28 AM
This can work if the person with PayPal sends as a gift. No way it can be reversed after they do that.

Wrong.

If you say wrong then explain why? One person wanted their money back from me they called PayPal, even showed them our conversations on ICQ and PayPal said they couldn't do nothing about it because they sent it as a gift to me.

It's been discussed to death. Think compromised account and gift/digital goods go out the window.
I will second this.  There are many topics I've seen devoted to this exact issue.  There's no safe way yet to accept PayPal as a payment for bitcoin.  I don't know how wesellcrypto does it, they must get people charging back all the time, and if I'm not mistaken it's against PayPal's terms anyway.  Spoetnik has trolled this issue ad nauseum.  So yeah.  Doesn't matter if the PP is a gift or not.
16074  Other / Meta / Re: Banned? on: January 29, 2016, 03:16:12 AM
Doesn't this illustrate the dangers of allowing memberships to be traded? If I were to leave this forum, I wouldn't like to sell my account, because it would still be linked to my reputation. Bought memberships show something about the seller as well as the buyer.
Yes sir, it definitely does.  Buying an account to participate in a sig campaign is pretty benign in my opinion, and it makes sense because members with higher rank earn more.  That's fine by me.  But we all know damn well that some people buy accounts to use a high rank and even earned trust to pull off scams.  I think the recent Master-P debacle was good evidence of this, because if I'm not mistaken the original person had sold the account and it was the buyer who scammed people.  Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

So you're definitely right.  And it seems like those who buy high ranked accounts, even if it's for a sig campaign, are the ones who chronically shitpost.
16075  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drugs fuck you up, man on: January 29, 2016, 03:10:37 AM
Once again, you are all ignoring the best solution for this. We should make all sorts of drugs legal. That will reduce the crime rate and gradually the drug consumption rates will also come down. Countries such as Uruguay and Portugal have legalized drugs, and they have witnessed sharp drop in deaths due to drug overdose.
I'm not ignoring that at all, and I agree that drugs should be made legal.  It's an unholy shitfuck of a mess that criminalization has created, and any "war" on drugs is a joke.  But for those who get addicted--and there are going to always be plenty of them, legalization isn't exactly helping them nor is legalization a cure.  And I do have sympathy for addicts, with limits.  Some people are born predisposed to addiction, some are not.
16076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you know Bitcoin will tank tomorrow, which altcoin would you jump to? on: January 29, 2016, 12:14:01 AM
I always liked DOGE.  I'm not into dark markets and the DOGE community is kinda goofy and cool.  But apparently the coin is very easily pumped and dumped as evidenced by yesterday's action, and that scares me a little.  Litecoin is probably just as good though, and I've used it as well.
16077  Economy / Lending / Re: .4 btc loan for bills with collateral 25% intrest on: January 29, 2016, 12:11:56 AM
Ok thank you i just Don't want people thinking im a scammer.
Most likely you're not, but I told you, Vod and others don't fuck around when it comes to loan requests because there are so many people who try to scam here.  Visit the front page of the lending section and read what's stickied.  There's stuff about collateral and so forth.  The lender has to be able to sell the collateral easily in case of a default, and domains just aren't easily sold.  Good luck.
16078  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drugs fuck you up, man on: January 29, 2016, 12:08:51 AM
So for this politics topic I wanted to talk specifically about the harmful effects of illegal drugs and how the forum's users' cities' drug problem are. I will start off by saying that I have cerebral palsy and some mental health issues and to any casual observer, I may be a user of crack cocaine. This is not the case however; I have schizo-effective disorder. I do embarrass myself in public from time to time but I am doing my best.

Is there a rampant drug use problem in your city? In Vancouver, it seems everyone is on something. Soiled cloths, staggering. People love their drugs. To top it all off the drunks assault the alleged drug addicts. (I got assaulted by some douche keeping his neighborhood safe. Ignorance is bliss, ignorance is bliss.

How's the drug problem in your city?
Very bad.  I work in a drug treatment center, and I've seen at least 6 of our clients die in the past year from overdoses, and we even had a nonfatal overdose right in our facility.  Luckily we keep a Narcan kit in our med room.  The word on the street is that the heroin is being cut with stuff like Fentanyl and some weird veterinary drugs like clembuterol, which I'm not sure has any sort of advantage over inert agents.  I give education groups about the risks of this stuff, but you can't scare addicts into staying clean.  If only we could.

So yeah, it's bad in my town.

The sum total of suffering in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. Cry
I agree but fortunately we're only exposed to a little of it at a time.  For the most part.  And I try to bring a little bit of hope to our patients and show them that a good life exists beyond the drugs, but that it takes time to get there.  The worst is dealing with their families, who are usually scared and hurting.

Also, heroin has been in our local newspaper so frequently in the past 2 years it's unbelievable.

Try wesellcrypto.com?  Yes their fees are high, but you'll get your bitcoin right away and it's very easy to use.  And I think there are at least a couple of members who post offers in the currency exchange section who do PP--->btc.  Otherwise you're going to have a very hard time getting a deal done because as everyone else has mentioned, PP is reversible even if sent as a gift.  And you're not a trusted member around these parts.
