Then it's you against the rest of the world again, been there done that.

This reminds me: I really ought to create a thread about this Bitcoinism thing. It's getting rampant on the forums again.

please do.

i do not know what Bitcoinism is
16171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: November 13, 2012, 09:57:52 PM

Canadains get a deal and a half on their bitcoins   Wink
these prices wont last long... as mtgox crawls into the 11.xx range, virtex will rocket there
the time is now Canada  Cool

unfortunately the CAD has been inflated to keep a 1:1 ratio with the USD, it seems the CAD will join the USD in its inevitable destruction, I urge all my fellow Canadians to protect their savings b4 it's too late.

Canada has been slow in adopting the bitcoin. but i assure you we are getting organized, and we will soon be ready to spread the bitcoin cheer throughout all the provinces!
16172  Economy / Speculation / bitcoins accumulation is at an all time high on: November 13, 2012, 08:48:09 PM
http://youtu.be/WPYY1kxQ9Wg?t=24m45s

It seems obvious that bitcoins are being accumulated at an unprecedented rate.
bitcoins accumulation is at an all time high

so why isn't the price moving up?

is the system hacked? and we have fake coins running around ( maybe mtgox uses fake coins within their system to trade with )

or maybe we simply seeing a bad move by early adopters, they are selling off at the worst possible time?
16173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Announcing the Bitcoin Kiez rollout on: November 13, 2012, 07:35:43 PM
it will be interesting to see what Primo Maggio does with his bitcoins

will he go buy a beer at the bar?

if he does, will Fabelhaft use that bitcoin to get some Vinyl records?

16175  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Great Silk Road Crash of 20** ...? on: November 13, 2012, 06:57:18 PM
Not a techy question or anything but do vendors on SR have their own site separate from everybody else?  In other words, can they still access the site despite the fact we can't?

IDK, but they probably use the same site.
if its down for you, its down for them
that would be my guess.

Thank you for the direct and simple answer!

I figured as much but had a glimmer of hope that there was another way.

isn't SR back up?

16177  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] cbitcoin 2.0 - The Route to Bitcoin's Future on: November 13, 2012, 05:12:44 PM
It uses the same block-chain as bitcoin. At the moment it has code for the production netwok but I plan to add testnet support also and maybe more configurable features for new chains in the future as well.

The code should be cleaner, yes, and have more documentation. On top of that, the fact my code is a library will make it more useful than bitcoind, it will have fewer and more configurable dependencies and will hopefully be more efficient, but that is yet to be judged.

+21 million  Wink

I will donate a small amount sometime soon

Thank you!
16178  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] cbitcoin 2.0 - The Route to Bitcoin's Future on: November 13, 2012, 05:01:30 PM
No it is not a fork, it is a complete re-implementation of bitcoin, in the C programming language, as a software library.

would cbitcoin start its own blockchain?

or is it just a re-implementation of bitcoind, for cleaner code, and would use the same blockchain as bitcoin?
16179  Economy / Speculation / Re: there's going to be panic buying monday on: November 13, 2012, 04:54:03 PM
what if those business savvy dealers are just buying up coins with low-cost weed and coke and they're the ones trying to manipulate this market

 Huh
well then, stop smoking weed and save your bitcoin?

16180  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] cbitcoin 2.0 - The Route to Bitcoin's Future on: November 13, 2012, 04:31:30 PM
