1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 19, 2023, 02:53:10 PM
I can't make up a date exactly but I can remember I started gambling sometime 2015 and each time I remembered the experience of my first losses in gambling I raise an eyebrow. I had several consecutive losses being a novice at it cause I wasn't introduced to it by anyone so there was no guidance for it was basically the lack of money within those period that dragged me into gambling with the hope I was going to be quickly luckily enough to win a good amount immediately to meet up some needs.
But guess what I ended up losing even the little spares I had on me. Over the years I have being able to make some winnings as much as losses but my most concern is the fact that I am very well in control of my gambling habit till date which is something every gambler should ignore or neglect.
1622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature Campaigns on: July 19, 2023, 02:37:18 PM
A question about Signature Campaigns

I assume the idea is to put a link to a service or crypto casino in your signature, correct?

When someone starts a signature campaign for an online crypto casino, the goal is to attract people to the casino through the signature, am I reasoning correctly?

Thanks a lot.

Your reasoning are correct in all sense. It's more like putting on a shirt or any object with a trademark of a company to the acknowledgement of the public.
But if I may ask, I wonder why a Jr member ranker is interested in signature campaigns service, or do you have a project service you want to introduce into the forum ?
1623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie - advice? on: July 18, 2023, 08:34:57 PM
Hi I want to get into trading and just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get started?

I am not expecting big things straight away but want to at least learn the basics.

I have been looking online for a book to buy to start things off does anyone have any recommendations?

This two books below have lots of good reviews are they good for someone new like myself? ..
It's a wise decision for you to first focus on learning the basics of trading and not just wanting to jump in immediately as some newbies wrongly do. Trading is not a childish thing and so you need to make up your mind that at some point there would be some losses hence one or two losses might deter you from continuing.

And also go ahead in demo trading every strategy you may learn during the learning periods it would help you get a better understanding of whatever you're reading about. If possible, you can get a physical coach or mentor too who can be guiding you with few tips based on his years of trading experiences.

We are delighted to see you here in the community, once again, welcome! I have visited your website, but I haven't registered with you yet. However, when I get the chance, I will enjoy playing with you. I tried to check different parts of the website, but I didn't find any available welcome offers. I believe that through promotional offers or launching a signature campaign here in the forum, it will help you attract many customers.
A publicity though signature campaign for sure would do them a lot of good to business as there are many users in the forum that have no idea yet about their platform and even those that do have an idea am sure won't be aware that they're back again on track with their services, even with more better services than it were.

but if they do run their own sig campaign, they should not expect that gamblers will flock on their site. they may attract some but there's no guarantee that they will stay and deposit big. most of them are already patrons of reputable casinos in the forum, so playing on a new one is not really their inkling.

You can't be sure of that. Humans are known for always wanting to try newer things and experience it for themselves. More so, all these reputable casinos you talking of were ones new to the forum but through signature campaigns and how long they stayed many gamblers came to their recognition and influx users emerged. If it's about reputation, it's something that's not gathered in a single day it's a gradual process factor and every casino just have to follow the process if they wanna really be successful here.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto betting on: July 17, 2023, 10:14:37 PM
There are so many casinos in the forum that are reputable and convenient to using pleasure. But...
My candid advise to OP is that in all the bookmakers recommended to you make sure to go through their ToS to have awareness of how they operate and their policies on withdrawal. As it is one thing to deposit and another thing to withdrawal, their conditions ain't same. Goodluck to your search.
1628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I avoid and identify scams? on: July 17, 2023, 09:39:07 PM
The first easy step to discover if a project is scam is to go into research about that coin, getting informations about it's operations and also to know if truly they are actually listed in the exchange they are laying claim to.
Be mindful when their promises on their ROI are too juicy to be true. That's one of the easiest sign to raise suspicion. And not because a coin has so much publicity on social media platforms doesn't mean it's absolutely legit, most of those publicity could be a paid adverts and marketing.

To be on the safer side as a newbie, start your investment with bitcoin, through your time with bitcoin you will get to know more about other cryptocurrencies and why bitcoin is unique of them all.

1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SIGNS THAT A CRYPTO PROJECT IS A SCAM on: July 17, 2023, 09:55:11 AM
1. Lack of transparency: A legitimate crypto project should have clear information about its team
Oh no, there's no transparency behind Bitcoin's team, we're only know the name of the creator is Satoshi, but it's still not known about it's she, he, them, race, religion, face etc. So yeah, we can call Bitcoin is scam and anyone should sell all their Bitcoin ASAP! /jk.

Bank and fiat is really legit because we know the team behind the central bank, they're not lying for offer 0.1% interest rate because they always pay the 0.1% every year.
If there was no transparency behind bitcoin then the digital technology would have crashed and faded away by now just like every other scam projects over the years, and the SEC on the other side would have being able to get concrete grounds to pin the project down. But guess what mate! Nothing as such has taken place and bitcoin is increasingly getting more acceptance and value by the day.

You rather not be mistaking anonymity of Satoshi to a scam. Every bitcoin enthusiast is comfortable with the anonymity of the developer and the decentralization of the currency. I wonder what kind of transparency those fiat banks do offer you anyway.
1631  Economy / Economics / Re: Pool strategy of investment for wealth multiplication. on: July 16, 2023, 09:06:54 PM
According to a widely accept believe, pooling resources together for any investment has a high potential and chances of success to an individual financial strength as it avails the required level of capital for expansion. Addition to having different experienced entrepreneurs coming together to share ideas on how to tackle present and future challenges makes it's all easier to face compared to when all of that is coming from one head.

But having a partnership business investment doesn't mean success is sure. Partnership demands people of like minds dedicated to the vision mutually, and humans are unpredictable and can change at anytime should there arise a discrepancy of interest and such change could have a devastating effect in decision making towards the investment. In otherwords, the pooling strategy of investment for wealth multiplication can be stalled when the investors ain't of a uniformed mind and vision, it could be disastrous.
1632  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia and others, move to use Yuan instead of dollar. on: July 16, 2023, 04:20:19 PM
This is what could be referred to in international politics as power tussle in terms of international levels of analysis. Haven such two conflicting countries like China and Russia coming together based on mutual economic interest against a common rival the USA is one that could be very frustrating for the US dollar with the unambiguous leverage and advantage the likes of Russia, China, Iran and Saudi Arabia have come together to give to the Chinese Yuan. With Russia in the forefront bent on the use of the Chinese Yuan instead of the US dollar in their country and in all of it's transactions and trades settlements with Latin America, Africa and Asia countries.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/russia-turns-to-chinas-yuan-in-effort-to-ditch-the-dollar-a8111457

What does this new development make for the US economy and the US dollar in the coming days and years to come.

Give your personal opinion on this development!

BRICS countries are planning to launch a currency to trade among themselves and with other countries, but at the moment India seems unwilling for this. They are doing this to challenge the monopoly of USD in the near future. Arab countries are also looking to trade in Yuan and it will have a big impact on petrodollars. And we might see a devaluation of USD as it is not backed by Gold.

India turned out to be the smartest country. India understands perfectly well that the "goal" of BRICS is to put some countries on the yuan, or rather to completely yuanize their economies to save China's economy. After that China will not let them out of its "friendly embrace" and these countries will never be able to be independent in the world market with an open economy and comfortable dollars for all.
As you can see, all the alleged settlements in the national currencies of the BRICS countries are somehow migrating towards settlements in the Chinese yuan. Trace the statistics of the volume of settlements in yuan between the BRICS countries of 5-3-1 years and now, and you will be forced to make a discovery for yourself - there is an overpowering of yuan, substitution of critical areas of exports and imports - for yuan. Someone invented a fairy tale about the "harm of the dollar", now someone will feel the "benefit" of the yuan...But it will be too late Smiley

You seem to be a big fan of the US and USD, so there's nothing wrong with trying to protect them, but I think you need to be a bit more realistic. No one is making up a fairy tale about the “harm of USD” but it is happening, and we can feel the reality without being led by others.

According to recent news, India and the UAE have also agreed to eliminate the dollar in trade between the two countries and replace it with rupees and dirhams. And from the above article, we can also guess why India refuses the BRICS bloc when using the yuan, they also want the Indian rupee to replace the USD, not the Chinese yuan.
https://www.deccanherald.com/business/economy-business/india-uae-sign-pact-to-trade-in-local-currencies-amid-pm-modis-visit-1237265.html
I was initially wondering what could have led to the BRICS bloc refusal by the Indian government not until I peruse through the article . The local currency settlement system Is a good development in the right direction for both India and the UAE in a bid to mutually move their economies. Going through the article it's espoused how the bilateral agreement would greatly lead to a reduction in the dependence of the US dollar which is obvious such economic dependence on the dollar is a control to the pace of development to the third world countries in addition to the continuous devaluation of their local currency's to the dollar that is rapidly becoming a monopoly in itself.

1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 15, 2023, 08:15:31 PM
I think I've been feeling addicted lately, and yes why should I be afraid to get addicted when you have money to gamble with, sometimes in bad situations you just need to distract yourself from this cruel world and play with me.
It is that conception of using it as a way of distraction that leads to addictive tendency while you feed your thinking that it is a way of distraction it is growing rather as a harmful habit on the other way round.
There are multiple healthy activities to engage into for distraction and whiling away of time than using gambling.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 15, 2023, 07:12:35 PM
I have heard the advice that you should only use money you can afford to lose for gambling. I say that this is more theoretical than practical. Literally no one has money that they can afford to lose.
I belch you some people do have such money and it's called budgeted gambling money. Practically there are gamblers that budget specific amount of money a percentage weekly or monthly from their income to be use just for their gambling activities. And some are so discipline enough to keep to the very amount never going beyond.

The statement, always use money you can lose is meant to keep the gambler in check of himself not to squander beyond his capacity as gambling can be so eluding that you don't know when you spend more based on how captivating you get. And suffix me to say, staging a budget for yourself while gambling prevents you from easily falling into addiction.
1635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to grow the bitcoin you have? on: July 15, 2023, 05:34:53 PM
How to grow the bitcoin you have without being involved in gambling or putting it in a custody wallet for APY. Is there any proven low risk method.
I'll be so indifferent about this here:
Except you're anything good at trading considering the risks involved, Just buy and hold for long term investment with the expected bull run by the corner you can double your funds.

You can be buying at different points to accumulate your BTC by DCAing before a year runs down you would have accumulated so much bitcoin for yourself.

Gambling can't be a channel to grow your bitcoin you can lose the little you have gotten within a short time.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 15, 2023, 12:17:38 PM
Things we must do to stop gambling according to experts:
Quote
1. Recognize the problem
2. Remove the stigma
3. Confide in a love one
4. Seek professional health
5. Adjust as needed
Source: https://www.forbes.com/health/mind/how-to-stop-gambling-expert-advice/

Now, if you still want to gamble but you don't want to become addicted to it, one of the things you should do in my opinion is:

1. Only set aside an amount of money that you will use to gamble in a casino.
2. Don't think that you will gamble to make money, because if you do that, you will surely have a problem later.
3. Just spend a few hours staying in a casino to gamble so you can avoid what you don't realize is wasting time that you should be spending on important things instead of gambling.

If it were so easy then nobody would be addicted to gambling by now and everyone would be living in peace.
Addiction is so powerful for people that while they know these things to stop gambling yet they fail to do so.
The only thing that can help such people decrease their addiction is a strong will power.
With that they will be able to follow the above steps and only with that they will be able to quit gambling.
I strongly agree with you on this. It's easier for people to go on dropping lots of different suggestions on how to quit as an addict. I  presume they will get to know better when they find themselves in the shoes of extreme addiction there then they will come to a realization that it's not as easy as they make it look. Addiction is parallel to hunger, when hunger comes you don't feel comfortable and settled till you satisfy your hunger by feeding same with gambling addiction, it takes divine intervention to eliminate it. That's why we're advised to flee from falling victim cause the repercussion effect is better imagined than experienced.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 08:16:21 PM
I use 5% of my weekly income to gamble and I can not go more than that. Sometimes I can be busy and I can spend less. If a week favours me, I will save my profit and the remaining (5% last week income) for next week gambling. According to what I heard, people spend up to 12% of their weekly income on gamble. I think it is not bad but that gives me the thinking to make a post like this on this forum. What percentage of weekly income do you think is right for gambling?
What a nice percentage you sticking to and having not to go beyond such percentage but rather go below due to some engagements of yours. But everyone wouldn't keep to same 5% weekly you know.
The percentage we budget for our weekly or monthly gambling expense is strictly not determined by the amount of salary or income we make but on our attitude. If anyone lacks the right attitude to gambling he can keep a 5% or 10% budget and still end up squandering 50% if he lacks a right attitude to gamble. Don't you think so?

1639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin mining terminology and facts on: July 14, 2023, 06:58:01 AM
nodes are devices connected together which share information for the purpose of validating and storing data, every transaction that takes place in the network gets checked and validated by the nodes and in approximately 10minutes the record of these validated transaction are grouped together into a block
these blocks get linked together via cryptography to form a chain of blocks known as block chain, which is commonly used as a digital transaction ledger, due to it's frequent addition of blocks it makes the system difficult for hackers to penetrate ( the longer the chain the more secure the network becomes), and these blocks comes with rewards of coin which is profitable to the miner

Bitcoin mining is a type of node that is involved with running the Bitcoin network and it is responsible for crediting it's miner with new coins by solving the cryptographic problem and validation of transaction

proof of work is a term used to describe the competition between miners as they all want to be the one to gain the block reward by adding to the block chain the latest block containing all those recent transaction, and to do so they all compete to be the first one to essentially guess a random number
the number all these miners are trying to guess is made up of lots of digits and that means they have to submit a lot of guesses up to trillions of guesses then a miner gets lucky and the process starts all over
Just like the some commenters above I felt disappointed with what I saw, just scratched explanation while I was hoping to see series of mining terminologies and facts like the thread subject clearly states. I didn't see anything new or unique from the little I am literate with about bitcoin and mining.
OP this topic is not the first of it's kind there are many similar ones much richer and that's what makes it unnecessary. You need to do more.
1640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important information about the forum on: July 14, 2023, 06:15:08 AM
And you want to guide other forum members, are you serious?

No. I am a new member of the forum. Currently I have no knowledge to guide. But I want to learn a lot by spending time on the forum. And help everyone like you.
I'll recommend you exert that energy on yourself, you need it more than any newbie does except maybe you think you have already known it all. Don't be in a hurry to pour out immediately the very little you have learned, digest it, articulate more and grow yourself with it. For you this stage is a learning stage and not a teaching one.
