Since I am on linux and have more than 1 single, I have to specify each one in the config. In BAMT to get things to show up in the monitoring tools I do: settings: cgminer: 1 cgminer_opts: -o http://pool.com:8332 -u username -p x -I 9 --api-listen --failover-only -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1 -S /dev/ttyUSB2 -S /dev/ttyUSB3 -S /dev/ttyUSB4 do_cgsnoop: 1 do_bcast_status: 0 do_mgpumon: 1
You have to use cgsnoop to broadcast things directly from cgminer since GPUmon and mGPUmon are designed to work with, wait for it, GPUs. Do I put the CGminer stuff in the bamt.conf file? I'm so lost :-S

So it sounds like my best bet may actually be to get a "regular" PSU for the low voltage, and use these for the 12v bulk? I was hoping to avoid a mix-'n-match situation, but if I can't avoid that, then does anyone know of a good PSu that provides lots of +5v and +3.3v? Don't need much +12v, but it needs to be reliable. Just grab any good 'ol active PFC PSU, 450w would be plenty

I didn't post one, but that is a good idea. I have already called Dell, but they refused to give me spec sheets or any such data for the PSUs. How much do you want? I'd be wanting more than just the pins to turn it on, since I intend to use all the outputs properly. That means 3.3v, 5v, -12v, pwrgood, enable, and so forth. Add a pic of the label? pack them into a secure server room Interesting idea, what does secure mean though? Would each share holder have access to the "secure server room"? Who is the keeper of the keys? You know why this is important. Secure as in locked with limited access and security systems, cctv etc. I don't see why not if they'd like to come up to the Rocky Mountains for a visit. Myself and my network admin only have access.

I can't remember exactly, but I want to say somewhere around 3.5amps with a single GPU

So FPGA and ASIC seem to be the future of mining. With systems like the "Rig" from Butterly Labs, you have amazingly dense power per watt, however you still have a significant power draw.
Who would be interested in pooling resources to acquire BFL Singles, Rigs or other FPGA or ASIC devices, and pack them into a secure server room with plenty of power. I currently have 1 BFL Single and it's fantastic.
Along with a financial buy-in, I would be able to provide a secure server room with a minimum of 50AMPs @240V and dedicated cooling.
What ideas, options or interest is out there? Add to the thread and let's hear it!

Mailing You a GPU and letting You host is a nice thought for me. Elaborate, please! (Electricity, cost structure...) Or just pay You a fixed fee for one of Your GPU-s and then a % for hosting? Rent out the miners for a locked in price a month?
I'm thinking I'd like to sell the cards, but offer to host them at a % share of the BTC mined. Same as saying "mail your card to me and I'll drop it in a system and set it up"

Yup, was able to run 4x5870 OC'd to 1040MHz on one. Only did it for a few weeks. Then just had it humming with a single 5970. It died completely (and tripped my PDU) after 4 months. Highly NOT recommended.

That sounds like it. I have problems maintaining my little 2.5 GH farm, yet alone this. Unless we have liquid cooling and good PSU's...

If the hardware dies, then what? That's what can ruin you.
The nice thing is I can get more anytime, there currently is a non stop supply, at least for another 4-5 months. (I love surplus) Also, since they are all the same machines (dc7600 HP) swapping out PSU and motherboards is a breeze. No tools required for a MB swap, just pop out the tray. HP is also awesome in the config department, I can flash the BIOS to the latest and replicate the bios setup, all inside the bios, and all from 1 64MB thumbdrive. drop my pre burned BAMT USB drive in and good to go. Down side is the cases do require a prybar to remove the hard drive cage, as the 5970's won't fit with the cage in. Pop the rivets and you're good to go.
