1621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Options trading in crypto on: October 09, 2019, 09:57:34 AM
Options are an alternative to spot trading or they can be efficiently used as a hedge against your spot positions. They are a derivative product so IMO they shouldn't be approached by beginners until they don't have a firm grip of technical analysis and risk management. Of course the understanding of all the details of options is a must before using them. As always I recommend getting your feet wet by using very small stakes so you get comfortable with using them.

I haven't checked the Binance platform for a while.. are they really offering options?
1622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade? At the exchange? Platform? Bots? on: October 09, 2019, 09:02:27 AM
I have always traded by manually placing orders, though I want to get more into algorithmic trading and bots programming, but that requires quite a big learning curve especially if you don't have any prior programming experience. There are coders around the world who get paid lots and lots of money to automatize traders strategies, so it's pretty worthwhile to learn this skill in my opinion. However, personally I want to always be in charge of my trades so I prefer getting in and out of them manually.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ [ANN] ✅ TYCOON - Social Crypto Trading. Made Simple. ✅ BOUNTY + CONTEST 💸 on: October 09, 2019, 08:52:05 AM
I believe that a platform focused on social trading would be a great pioneer in the current crypto market. Personally, I am not aware of a similar project that had success besides 1Broker which had a copy-trading feature, but eventually it got banned by the SEC.

My question to you is if you have the necessary documentation/licenses to not be banned by any authorities and if you do have MVP we can demo test the platform?
1624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for honest feedback on: October 09, 2019, 07:03:34 AM
So to be clear if I create a live account I have to undergo a KYC procedure? If I remember good 1Broker has been offering similar pairs for traders, but they got closed up by the SEC. I'm not sure of the reason, but I think they've somehow let people in US trade on their platform.
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The Coin Farm - Largest Group of Altcoin Traders in Telegram on: October 08, 2019, 06:46:05 PM
I have been part of that group for some time. But while there is some good content distributed in there, the noise is too big. Like my telegram has been flooded with notifications every hour, but if you are a very active and like to socialise about your trades it is the perfect place for you. Personally I don't do well when I'm seeing too many trade ideas and opinions on the market. I do much better when I stay silent with only my thoughts in the head.
1626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 9 Best Decentralized Exchanges which You Can Use To Trade on: October 08, 2019, 05:36:28 PM
Does the WAVES dex have liquidity? I literally don't know anyone who is using it. Also why IDEX and DDEX not in the top? Especially IDEX is pretty popular in the cryptocurrency communities. I'm a big supporter of decentralized exchanges and I believe that is what we need to have completely trustless services in the world. But these needs a lot of promotion and IMO the user interface should be much simpler because for a newbie it is quite hard to learn all the intricacies of trading in such an exchange. Like they need to install the metamask extension, then send a transaction to authorize their access, then another one for the trade..
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To bust Casino? Blackjack, myths and reality on: October 08, 2019, 05:05:54 PM
I don't know if you have written all that by yourself or you have copy-pasted it from social media/a website, but there certainly are some interesting facts. After speed reading the OP my conclusion is that you can't consistently beat the casino, even with applying complex strategies that were exemplified in the OP. Even if you could somehow get a small edge over the casino I think it is much more time effective to learn another skill. No doubt that if you can learn all those strategies you can do marvelous things in other industries as well.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling activies correlates with Bitcoin's price? on: October 08, 2019, 04:53:48 PM
My mental processes goes like this regarding Bitcoin and gambling correlation: if Bitcoin price raises, I'd rather gamble more so I make more of those BTCs, but on the other hand I'm gonna risk more as the Bitcoin I hold is worth more, so it's kind of a mental battle that causes me to be nervous so I'd rather not play.

If the bitcoin price dumps then I want to make more profits from gambling in order to make up for the lost value.. but then I'm afraid that I could lose my BTC and potentially lose the piece of the pie when it starts trending up again..

So in conclusion it is best to only play for fun with small stakes  Wink
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: October 08, 2019, 04:02:15 PM
scam project and manipulated thread (by puppets).

Not in the history of crypto has 1 crypto ever been backed by gold, every project in the past 4-5 years that have claimed so, have turned out to be a scam. This project is the same, which is very apparent by the virtue of all aspects of this project.

What are the arguments for this if I may ask? They have limited supply in circulation that matches the bullion in their vault. You have liqudity on their website + exchanges that they provide liquidity for as well. They didn't have an ICO so no investors' money to steal. Plus, BullionStar audit and insurance from swiss company Chubby Insurance. And they have paper proofs for all these.

It is easy to call a project scam, but much harder to come with actual arguments. Other "gold" projects that have failed is definitely not a plausible argument.
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ABCC Trading Campaign III - 10,000 USDT for you!! on: October 08, 2019, 03:55:03 PM
300 USDT for the first place trader? That's a little low compared to the competitions held by the other exchanges like Bitforex or EMX. And their trading competitions were on testnet, yours is on mainnet and also input conditions for the participants. Not really the best marketing plan in my opinion. Perhaps you are addressing to the mass of retail traders who don't own much funds though..
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivate currency exchangers in big city centres to exchange bitcoin ? on: October 08, 2019, 02:01:59 PM
Actually this concept has just begun to be implemented in my city. But you need to create an account withing an online exchange and make the transaction physically with cash at the exchange shop. But you still need to present your ID when dealing with the exchanger and I think you need to undergo KYC when creating your online account. Bitcoin ATMs would be the best way to go, but their commissions are crazy high at least here.
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF this time? on: October 08, 2019, 01:18:40 PM
Even if the SEC approves the ETF or not it the BTC price won't be affected by this too much on short term. But on long term is great to see the infrastracture being built. ETFs being listed will bring more trust and of course an additional financial instrument for people to invest in. Believe it or not there are people who simply don't understand or don't want to go through the learning curve of purchasing "physical" bitcoin so an ETF would be a better choice as they just say their broker to buy it.
1633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should move to BTC? on: October 08, 2019, 11:04:33 AM
If I were you I would immediately sell that XRP and buy some cheap BTC. Btw I consider $8000/btc a bargain price. We all know that XRP has lousy reputation over the internet for not being a true cryptocurrency. Look at the higher timeframes at XRPBTC pair. You can clearly see there the weakness of ripple, so I think it's better to join the trend and sell xrp and buy some precious btc. Now..I might be biased here as I'm a true believer in Bitcoin, but this is not financial advice and you should not take it as one. It's simply my personal answer to you.
1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are impatient and too quick to judge projects on: October 08, 2019, 10:10:41 AM
It usually surprise me when I see investors complaining about a good project that didn't increase  or providing returns immediately it got listed on the exchange and they term it scam or say different things like rekted.
But the truth is, are these investors investing in the project because they believe in it or are they just in it for the immediate profit and move on?  Because if you are investing in a project because you believe in it then you should be willing to HODL the tokens and wait for the team to gradually deliver the project and meet its necessary roadmap before you judge it and not condemn it on its first listing.

The bottom line is that most of the crypto investors are not professional ones. They don't make their own due dilligence and allocate their portfolio as a professional would do. Most of them just look for opportunities where they can make a fast buck, not invest for the long term. That's why the so called "ICO bonuses" had so much success that the token quickly dumped as soon as it hit the exchange. That's why projects should not offer more than 10% bonus for early investors because at the end of the day if the token economy and business model has potential the value will raise accordingly.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think Voodoo works in Gambling Games? on: October 08, 2019, 09:26:06 AM
I don't believe in something like that especially when the rolls are supposed to be provably fair/ generated by a hash. How could voodoo interact with code.. I do believe in God, though and I know there must be some divine power in the world, but AFAIK gambling is not one of His favourite activities. No matter what you use the house will still have that edge over you, be it 0.50% or 5%. It is statistically proven that whichever combinations with strategies, voodoo and who knows else won't beat the math in the long term.
1636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Digital Currency can Activate Someone's Financial Freedom? on: October 08, 2019, 06:15:44 AM
Like any other financial instrument , cryptocurrencies can bring financial freedom to a person if they invest their funds wisely. But stocks can do the same especially if you're a trader. Take into account that cryptocurrencies are not regulated, therefore is no financial authority that limits the frontiers, so the inherent risk is much higher.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunt on: October 07, 2019, 07:42:35 PM
Nowadays you won't find many quality bounty campaigns. Most of the tokens won't ever see any liquditiy/volume. We are not in the era when money was flowing into ICOs from the sky. People have become more skeptic about all crypto projects. Therefore they are willing to invest less and less money. My advice to you is to be careful and apply a lot of filters when choosing to devote your time to a specific bounty campaign.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CND] Cindicator - Hybrid Intelligence for Financial Markets - September 12 on: October 07, 2019, 06:58:51 PM
Cindicator project has always been on my watchlist. I believe that the future of financial markets and trading is combining the powerful force of AI and machine learning algorithms with the wisdom/psychology of the people. At the end what do the candlesticks in the charts tell us? - The psychology of the market participants. For example if the bitcoin price bounces at the $7000 level it means there are a lot of people wanting to buy that level.
1639  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Market making is good, or BAD for crypto because... on: October 07, 2019, 06:39:22 PM
Market making is good for any market or currencies as it creates liquidity. If you want to become a market maker you might want to consider using a bot like hummingbot that allows you to create liquidity on decentralized exchanges as well as on major centralized exchanges like Binance & perform arbitrage trades. But be careful as you will compete with other people which are probably using the same software and/or strategy like you or even more sophisticated ones. Execution speed is imperial when doing market making - which is basically profiting from the bid/ask spread.
1640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 07, 2019, 06:21:38 PM
It is very nice to see the hackathon being promoted! I'm really curious and excited at the same time to see what will be the results of the event. Hopefully some kick ass dappps ideas will start being built. Most of us don't appreciate it and most importantly don't take advantage of the opportunity. Just think if Stratis will be the behemoth of the enterprise focused blockchain services sector, you could pride yourself to have watched and maybe contributed to the raise of this project.

Above you see my excited part about Stratis, but I'll reiterate again: the lack of a CTO is not a good sign to me.
