1621  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: December 28, 2022, 01:03:16 PM
I think we are already off the black Friday now and it's been a long time since all the promotions for them have already ended. We also had Christmas promotions throughout all the casinos tha you can name on the bitcointalk forum. It's very normal to see that casinos will have these
promotions all around them during such happy times.

Any time can be a "happy time" in some casinos... starting from promotions available to all registered players to the ones for active players. Every casino has a few big promotions throughout the year, but those are for the active high rollers, there's no point in trying to win some higher place without a huge bankroll and a lot of free time for playing (wagering) from the moment when the promotion starts to the end...
Deposit bonuses, free spins/bets, higher rake/loss back, weekly/monthly bonus drops, and all other kinds of promotions/bonuses are available 24/7. And there are good ones from time to time in almost every casino we have around.

A Curacao license is literally worthless from a player perspective. This does not mean that all casinos with a Curacao license are shady and shall be avoided but it means that as a player, you would not be able to count on the licensor to protect you by any means.
The problem of Gambling Licenses and the need for Honest Guides

A lot of crypto casinos started operating without a Curacao license, or any license at all... they added it along the way. My opinion is that this license doesn't mean much, at least not for us crypto players, and especially not for us who don't gamble with big money. License is not something that protects players, I guess it's more to protect the casino itself, probably more problems are solved here on the forum than anywhere else.

Betfury operated for months (if not the entire year, I am not completely sure) without a license, and they have grown a lot since then. Now they are a big and reputable crypto casino.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OneShot Golf on gambling casinos? on: December 27, 2022, 05:15:29 PM
I don't see the channel from the link you shared, but if I see from the image you show in this thread. This game is not much different from other types of games from other mobile game applications. in fact, games like this type have existed for a long time but in different versions. I mean, a game that lifts from the sport of Golf.
...

Exactly! And this is just a new version of golf, in the sea of other games and their updates. When I saw these pictures it reminded me of tennis, it's a much more popular game here (probably because of Djokovic):
Tennis Clash: Multiplayer Game

These games are not gambling, they just have in-game stuff that can be bought with money... you make a lot faster progress if you buy equipment, and your "player" can be a lot stronger... which gives a lot of advantages to some players! One of the reasons why we will never see something similar in any casino.

If you combine pandemic and war, that's what happens.
...

I guess this can be an explanation for the current bearish period, but this is not the first time we have had a similar situation. This is the 3rd time I see the entire market going down losing billions in seconds. Crypto has some cycle, and I guess we all look for reasons for all ups & downs, but I am not sure that it's so easily explainable. There's always some crisis around, and at the same time, good things happen as well... but all that doesn't reflect on the price every time.

I agree that the first months of next year will not bring much excitement. We will stay a little longer in this bearish period, with some occasional spikes, as it always goes, in both ways.

However they currently don't have a specific promotion for Bitcointalk users and on the other social medias, which I think that's important.

I'm not sure if this is still active, I got mail 4-5 days ago... I had a good start, I hit a few bonus rounds pretty fast, and I tripled that $25... but after that, it all went downhill, I didn't manage to get a single bonus after that. Pragmatic is a nice provider, but sometimes there are long LDW streaks that can just melt down any balance. Anyway, it was fun!
1626  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com | Futuristic Dice Platform 🎲🌌 on: December 27, 2022, 07:03:03 AM
Note: We have just launched the no deposit bonus feature and are still testing it. This may lead to temporary delays in withdrawals, however these delays will not affect customers who registered before 19 December. Withdrawals will be made no later than Monday.

Looks like this testing affects withdrawals for us who registered before 19 December. And "Neodice typically replies in under 4h." is slow, when a problem arises, no one wants to wait so long for a support response. In my case, the waiting time was even longer than that... I guess that should be faster for a better experience.

Answer the question, why did all 4 of the world's largest auditors refuse to work with crypto exchanges?
But because the SEC said that they will be very painful to beat on the ass.
Maybe it's better to spend energy on fighting fraud?

Quote
Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers are reportedly turning down chances to audit Binance despite a long history with Coinbase.

According to the largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, the top audit companies are “currently unwilling” to carry out a proof-of-reserves audit for a private cryptocurrency company.
Source: https://beincrypto.com/big-four-accounting-firms-unwilling-audit-binance-despite-long-history-coinbase/

Excellent reading, at least I think so. And if I get you right, you say that auditor firms are afraid of SEC, by this article I would say you are right. Their excuse to not audit crypto exchanges can't be interpreted differently.

Quote
Meanwhile, Armanino, another auditing firm, has also announced that it would no longer be taking on cryptocurrency clients soon after its client FTX went bankrupt. Armanino was reportedly named in a class-action complaint last month for failing to uncover violations at FTX.US.

What do you think, did they know what was happening with FTX?

Well, they have recently set the bar high in that regard, being able to bet on players or users of forum on Sportsbet, although it must be said that the first time that this happened, at least as far as I know, it happened in a poker series.

Such a distinction is due to Mr. From position 8.  Cool

BITCOINTALK POKER SERIES FINALE BETTING MARKET

....]

I completely forgot about this! Webby created and sponsored this event, there was a max bet of 500 Doges or something like that. Amazing things happened in these games, there was a lot of passion and some people made a special effort to take these poker series to a higher level.

Yes, the noise comes from Betnomi... Ico and Cygan are working on something. I believe we will find out more about it after New Year.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing with your alt bags on: December 25, 2022, 08:32:51 AM
maybe this current moment is the right time for you in rethinking twice whether your alts bags is already good enough because honestly, there's nothing much you can do in the middle of bearish, but it's quite good time for migrating over some of your investments into the other since some of coins might sink in term of value worst than the other but they could have better potential in the long run, other than that there's no choice but just to hold the alt bags.

Some alts will drop more, and some will get back up. I agree that Bitcoin was and is the best long-term investment, but some alts are here to stay, and I believe some of them will reach their previous prices and set up new records.

If you trust your choices from before now it's a good time for holding and adding more favorite coins to your bags, with a discount. I guess we all wait for the next bullish year, and that year will come... we just one to stay strong.

1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 24, 2022, 08:43:52 PM
...
Does completing bonus is still possible and profitable or it's just like chasing the wind?

Depends on the bonus type I guess, there are different types of bonuses. But in the end, it's like chasing a wind, if you get lucky (with some big wins) you will catch a nice wind that can take you high, and if you are not so lucky (wich happens more often in gambling) you will just lose.

...
From my experience, it usually isn't worth it, but there can be some extreme cases. You have to do the math every time and keep having fun playing instead of chasing wins, points, ranks and bonuses. They're there to keep you occupied and introduce new inputs that make you lose focus. With how much you've spent I'm pretty sure you weren't thinking about that bonus when you were doing it Wink

But we are playing for wins, points, ranks, higher levels, and bonus drops of any kind. All that makes playing even more interesting. Of course, winning something more doesn't happen to everyone, it's why most of the time bonuses don't worth the money we spent, but it's gambling...
1631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker player ranking all time[2020-2022]... on: December 24, 2022, 06:44:36 PM

So yeah, don't see how I can ever do another poker session. 2 hours of football is the best I can do, while cooking/looking after someone.

Should do a poker tourney where we bet on the players Wink

Our poker sessions lasted 2 to 3 hours max. There wasn't betting on players, but we had bounties and special prizes. I guess anyone could suggest anything (and there were a lot of suggestions), but in the end, each of us had a vote will be something added or not.

The number 51 and 73 is just the same user and that's me, maybe on another tournament I used another username. This is a curated list and likely a time consuming one and kudos to you @famosoMuertos for that, you've done it well. If a new series comes I think it's a good time to forget the crypto winter and past the time for the holiday season.

I am Iv4n and BlagiUzas... first is my username on SwC, and second on Betnomi. Probably it's the same with you, and for sure there are more overlaps... it's not like it's important, but it definitely reduces the number of active players, I just doubt that we have +70 poker players here on the forum.

hey all,

I am looking for a casino but with all the casinos out there, it is difficult to really keep track. The reviews help a lot, but I am looking for some recommendations of some new casinos. I like casinos that payout a dividend, a low minimun deposit and payout and nice bonuses.

Maybe you will like BTCGosu Neodice Casino Review, and it comes with:
Quote
Neodice is a brand-new dice crypto casino featuring excellent free faucets as well as great user features as well as an exclusive $9 No Deposit Bonus for GOSU players.

Simple dice site, and there's a faucet (3 types, 1 hourly and 2 every 24h). Definitely unique interface, but there is still much that is missing, compared with other places where we can play dice games. But in the end, I agree with the review, we need to give this site some time to develop... for now it's a simple dice platform with a faucet, but I think they will not stop on that.
1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can CEX's prove their solvency? on: December 23, 2022, 05:46:05 PM
I guess The Big 4 would do the work. It's how CEX can prove they have what they say they have...

“Mazars has paused its activity relating to the provision of Proof of Reserves Reports* for entities in the cryptocurrency sector due to concerns regarding the way these reports are understood by the public,”

CZ wrote something similar, how accounting firms don't understand crypto, but Coinbase did it, so whats the problem?

Quote
CZ, however, replied that those accounting firms don’t work with or understand crypto exchanges (Coinbase literally just received an attestation report from Deloitte), so that is why it has not been audited by one of them.

To avoid such scams with the FTX exchange, you need to prohibit the exchange from managing client deposits. For this violation 1,000,000 life sentences. I used to be an anarchist too, but today everyone understands that cryptocurrency exchanges should be under the control of regulators.

They don't need to be under the control of regulators, but for sure they need to have some proof of reserves. SBF used the client's deposits for his own projects (reserves were in FTT) and with the collapse of FTT he literally ended up with nothing.
1634  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to play poker with crypto ? on: December 23, 2022, 11:46:25 AM
...

Just noticed your post.  And seeing all those poker sites you googled, I gotta ask, how's the traffic and the game selection in each and one of them?  Does it have at least 10 full 6 max tables running in the microstakes and midstakes?  That's pretty bad traffic imho but that's the minimum a poker site should be running.

If it were up to me, go to Poker Scout.  Check the sites with most traffic and check which whens accept crypto as a deposit and withdrawal option.

https://www.pokerscout.com/

Most sites not included in the top 20 prolly isn't worth the look.  Could be wrong.  Maybe in the micros it's worth it, but as you climb up in stakes, traffic becomes thin.

Chipstars have 0 players... BC.Game doesn't have poker. It's been a long time since the last time I visited Nitrogen, FortuneJack, and Coinpoker... there wasn't much action before, so I doubt that something has changed.

GG and PokerStars are way ahead of the others:

Bitcoin withdrawals are free, which is a nice thing, and there are some deposit bonuses... I think I will try them in the next few days.
1635  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: December 23, 2022, 08:02:51 AM
Financial freedom can mean different things to different people. Not everyone has priorities in money, although money is an integral part of our lives...

Whatever you want to do, whatever your priorities are, you will need money to make it happen. Today, nothing starts without money, everywhere you turn you have to pay something... So the logical conclusion is that obstacle to achieving financial freedom is "not having enough money". And how to get more money is a question that bothers many of us, I guess there is no universal answer to that, each of us is in a unique situation.

At the moment my obstacle is not having enough free time. With two little kids, I can't focus on finding additional sources of income...with this inflation and food prices, it's hard to keep up with the same income as I had before. And I have little kids, as they grow we will need more and more money. So I will either find a way to make more money or it will be very hard for us.

All this for $198 (minus the amount he spent)? After making a decision to take all this to another level by bringing friends (thugs) all of them should be arrested for that, money won/lost lose meaning, all of them will face higher penalties and probably jail time.

He could try to call the police or look for some lawyers, but to bring friends to a fight is something different, it should be a last resort... and consequences are almost always worse than the initial loss. Now all of them are in greater problem than the sum in question for sure...

Violence shouldn't be the answer, as I said, it's something like the last thing to do if you are really out of options... I think these guys involved now have a bigger problem just because they're "hotheads"! So the bottom line should be simple, in case you get into some problem try to keep it cool, think about your options, and look for advice before you take some serious actions.

I thought the phone number verification is simple by filling our phone number only but in fact we need to fill more information (personal information) such as first/last name, gender, country, birth of date etc.
Yep, we need to submit the level 1 KYC details in order to use the services of Booi casino. We aren't allowed to verify the phone number only without filling all data of level 1 KYC. Roobet (your signature casino) has almost similar requirements.

When they made KYC mandatory (Roobet) I stopped playing there. There are simply too many good (if not better) alternatives... for example:

🚨 GOSU REVIEW ALERT - Chipstars Casino 🚨
Up to 250 Free Spins for new players - wager-free - check out our review 💰 --> https://www.btcgosu.com/review/chipstars-casino/

Chipstars has a promotion again, this time 100 free spins but at $0.25, for deposits over $125, without wagering requirements. No KYC level 1 or two, and probably the most important without strings attached. And I like it because I can play some providers (Pragmatic most of all) without using VPN...

When we are talking about promotions I think I should mention Metaspins:

1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Binance outflows - should we be concerned? on: December 21, 2022, 10:33:49 PM
Interesting reading: With Binance, Everything Is Not Fine

Like Genevieve, I am not sure that everything is fine with Binance. This fiasco with FTX and FTT can backfire on Binance:
Quote
You see, in the eyes of the bankruptcy proceedings, transactions made by FTX to outside entities (like the $2.1 billion payment to Binance) may be considered fraudulent conveyances.

And there's that thing about the "proof of reserves", it's a bit shady what happened:

Quote
And remember when Binance released proof of reserves last month to calm the market in the fresh wake of FTX’s collapse?
It turns out the accounting firm that was assisting with that, Mazars Group, quite literally pulled the plug on the endeavor, effectively terminating the partnership by deleting the website containing the exchange’s proof of liabilities (or lack thereof, as it were).
I guess they could choose some other accounting firm... we can wonder why are they running away from that.

Quote
This is a classic scenario for crypto exchanges, everything is fine … until it’s not.
If the stablecoins in Binance’s reserves hold to their peg, everything will be fine.
If it can provide true proof of reserves, everything will be fine.
If there’s no run on the bank, everything will be fine.
If it can deliver fully audited financials, everything will be fine.
If the U.S. Department of Justice decides not to strike with criminal charges (something we didn’t even get to in this essay), everything will be fine.
For each day that passes without specific and verifiable evidence to address all its issues, these “ifs” grow bigger for Binance.

Genevieve presented some nice arguments, and I can't say I don't agree with her. Don't get me wrong, I am using BNB and I like it but not everything is clear, FTX downfall raised some questions. I guess it's far from over, we can expect some turbulent days in crypto.

Hi, is there anyone having problem with freebitco.in e-mail confirmations for address change or withdrawing ?
I haven't received any mail for days.

Thanks.

When it comes to withdrawals I had an issue a month or two ago, I didn't get a confirmation e-mail... In the end, I just had to wait an hour or something like that, the withdrawal request gets canceled and you repeat the process. Everything worked fine on the second try.

I am approaching the 100k RP, currently at 88,000 points and I will probably not be able to approach the 100k by the end of this year, but I will be close to it. Before the premium membership was launched (and the WOF), I would never be able to reach 100k RP as I don't have any referrals, only bet low amounts on the sportsbook and never play the Hi-Lo game.

You are right, with premium membership and free daily spins it's a lot easier to reach 100k RP. I'm around 30k at the moment (almost two months from the last time I exchanged them) from daily spins, playing and using some part of the free spins... I think when I decide to spin all free spins at one moment I will get there, in a few months probably...

1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using Bonus Buy or Not Using Bonus Buy? on: December 21, 2022, 09:12:27 AM
Many of the Slots have "scripted" Bonus buys.. like "Money Train" ... because you can basically predict what it is going to pay out. (Normally 50% of what you paid for it) ..... but others like "Wanted Dead or a Wild" are very volatile.. and can pay out `maximum` every other day.  Roll Eyes

If you want to see what the different Slots are doing with Bonus buys... just watch the big streamers... and count how many bonus buys they need to buy, before it pays out.  Tongue

Last night I was buying bonuses, from +5 bonus buys only one was x103... others were under x10, and one was around x40-50. Of course, my balance melted and I decided to stop playing. So I guess it doesn't have to pay off at all, regardless of the number of bonus buys, if there is no luck, the balance will simply melt and that's it.

Hacksaw is crazy, I guess they can pay out "max win" every other day, but you can't imagine how many "under x5" I got from buying bonuses for this game. And I tried "medium, hard, and high" volatility buys. It's a pretty dumb feeling when you buy "Deads Man Hand", where profit comes only if it's over x400, and you get x10 or x20...
