Whichever ass is planted in the chair behind the desk in the oval office, Goldman Sachs wins the election.

This

That being said one of the asses is definitely more uncomfortable sitting on you than the other

Based on this convergence, looks like there will be a big breakout to one side or the other in less than 2 weeks

1625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it real? Physicists propose method to determine if universe is a simulation on: October 17, 2012, 11:37:48 PM
Could you elaborate a little on that "we are just 3D projections of the 2D surface reality" part?
Google "holographic principle".

Basically, imagine a sphere. On that sphere, draw a complex pattern. Shine a light through that pattern. Now, imagine standing at the center of that sphere. If the pattern is complex enough, and drawn in the right manner, the interplay of light and shadow causes you to see an image projected around you. It's grossly oversimplified, but that's the idea.

Myrkul is now explaining the holographic theory?!!!

We have to be living in a simulation because this would never happen in the real world.

 Cool

I'm wondering how much this project has in common with the colored coins project...

It's sad that he can't see that his attitude is self perpetuating. Yes, of course, you cannot pay for everything right now with bitcoins. But that will only be the case for as long as people continue to think (and act) along these lines. I expect more from supposed higher consciousness fellows looking to change the status quo.

I was under the impression ayahuasca had a mightly trip duration.
In the region of 12-48 hours.
That's been the main reason I'd held off on it.

Not for me - but I took a fairly low dose apparently. Reality was definitely strange for about 5 hours, but the actual visions only lasted around 45-75 minutes (I had no conception of time really, so I dont know). I just know that there were long intervals where I was perfectly fine, conscious and enjoying singing at the ceremony and a fairly short time where I was completely unable to do anything but lay down and enjoy the ride.
1631  Bitcoin / Mining / Investor looking for mining partner(s) on: October 16, 2012, 07:00:04 AM
I'm looking to invest 30k+ into a mini rig, maybe even go larger for the right opportunity. The reason I'm not doing this myself is because I'm in an area where electricity is about 3x as expensive as where many of you folks reside and I will likely be traveling again for the foreseeable future . I also do not know much about the ins and outs of mining. I do however have significant capital and for the right opportunity I will invest.

Here is what I am looking for:

A reason to trust you
A hands off relationship - I fund the opp, you run it
Evidence of your existing mining rig/ operations/ profit schedule
Projections of asic + difficulty effects on returns over the next year +

If this sounds interesting, PM me or reply here.

Thanks

These price movements are absurd.

lol, yes this has been really weird. A selloff turns into a rally. Someone must have a bot programmed on volume alone or something.

^^ You should talk to my uncle. He lives in Argentina now but lived in the Brazilian amazon for a year or so and took ayahuasca with the local natives.

I've been considering DMT for a while now. I've tried lsd, mushrooms and salvia and they were all pretty fun and had me in a definitely spiritual state of mind but nothing near what DMT can do, id imagine. When winter comes around and the stress from making enough coin before the paycut dies down i might mingle with some cubes again.

The only other psychedelic I've tried before was mushrooms (though I've experienced them many times). Though there are clear similarities, the level of the experience is incomparable. On mushrooms I generally always had one hand in this material plane. With ayahuasca, the material plane was just gone (albeit for a much shorter timeframe than mushrooms). The movie Atlas posted (spirit molecule) is pretty informative about the experiences. I haven't experienced what many of those people have (yet), but plan to go to ceremonies with stronger doses soon.

if he adds sounds then i will definitely buy.

Cool

It has sounds per trade up or down you select between sound types as well.

Really? How do you enable that option?
1636  Other / Off-topic / Re: Alright, Dank is going to love this shit: Spiritual, heavenly experiences on DMT on: October 15, 2012, 03:45:31 AM
I did ayahuasca last weekend (the active ingredient is DMT). I havent met any other beings yet, but I do remember not being able to tell the difference between my eyes being open and closed (as the visions took place irregardless of what I was doing).

Was there any duality? Did you perceive the physical world and your visions at the same time?

As it got came on stronger, the physical world became less and less relavent - it just faded into the background. As I started getting back in touch with the physical world, the duality came back into focus.

Fair warning: Do not try and "do" ayahuasca or DMT. It will DO you, if you go in there with those ambitions. It is a strong healing work and requires a significant amount of conscious surrendering to the moment to allow yourself to enjoy the experience (and be healed).

I downloaded the file from github, but as I'm not a coder, I have no idea what to do with it. If anyone wouldnt mind directing me to some info on how to get this working, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks much
