1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exciting Bitcoin Projects! on: July 29, 2016, 11:55:01 PM
Im quite excited for their future projects especially segwit. Im kinda excited with it since the transactions will be faster and the waiting time will be lessened. Im also excited for the embedded mining project since it will invite more miners to bitcoin, and it will also ease the transactions that will invite more big whales to invest in bitcoin.
1622  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2016, 11:19:45 PM
In my opinion, you just need to explain it to them clearly to motivate women to use bitcoin. If she is really willing to earn money and bitcoin, a simple explanation of how to earn bitcoin for free will motivate her but if she's not interested even if you try your best to convince her it will not do since she's not interested.
1623  Other / Off-topic / Re: The bitcoin in daily life on: July 29, 2016, 10:47:16 PM
OP ill answer your questions one by one. I have used bitcoins to pay someone many times since it is easy to send and receive bitcoin. In my opinion, it is hard to explain to someone what is bitcoin and what it can do since when you are explaining many knows it as a criminal money. In my country there are no stores that accepts bitcoin since they don't know it or they branded it as illegal money. My friends know about bitcoin but they don't use it because like others they think it is untrusted or illegal, criminal money.
1624  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: July 29, 2016, 11:47:56 AM
There are many things someone can do with 10 BTC. If I have 10 BTC, Ill convert 9 BTC to fiat and get the other remaining 1 BTC in trading to profit. Maybe ill do it the other way, Ill convert 1 Bitcoin to fiat then use 1 Bitcoin in trading and just hold the other 8 Bitcoin. That way i'll profit if a price rise occur soon after that time.
1625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: July 29, 2016, 09:35:33 AM
I buy bitcoin again after I sold all my bitcoin because I want to profit more. I get all my bitcoin for free so im not directly buying it, im buying it using the fiat I have made by selling bitcoin at a higher price. Sometimes though I rebuy to pay some friends far away and pay for some services and of course to buy some items online on online shops that accept bitcoin.
1626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2016, 09:16:24 PM
I think no one can really tell the actual number of people using bitcoin. We can only tell the estimate of how many people use it. In my estimate, 1-10million people use bitcoin worldwide. I think that since some use multiple btc address which makes it hard to really determine how much people use bitcoin. This estimate is according to the number of users in trading sites, gambling sites and investment sites.
1627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: July 26, 2016, 10:22:09 AM
Here in the Philippines we got a bitcoin shop but it is only available to us online. We use the web wallet coins.ph to convert our bitcoin into Philippine Peso and they send it to use via money senders available here in the Philippines. Even if they are not available physically their services are very convenient for us Filipinos.
1628  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: July 25, 2016, 09:23:12 PM
Ill accept bitcoin in my salary if it is just a sideline. If it is a full time job I think I won't accept bitcoin as a salary because of two reasons. The first reason is that bitcoin is very volatile. I need to have some money to survive too so I don't like it when it's price is low. The second reason is that I need a stable source of fiat to get my daily needs.
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: July 25, 2016, 11:30:49 AM
I think there are some factors that stops people from using bitcoin. The first one I think and the most common problem is that they don't know bitcoin yet. Among the world's population, I think less than 5% of it uses bitcoin. The second factor that stops people from using bitcoin is that some people that knows bitcoin doesn't trust bitcoin and it has a bad reputation because of media some people thinks that bitcoin is drug or criminal money. The third and last reason that stops people from using bitcoin is the volatility. Some don't like it, they like a stable price so they don't use bitcoin.
1630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: July 25, 2016, 10:45:04 AM
In my opinion maybe China can control bitcoin if they want to. If they want it dead, I think they will just force all the miners from them to quit and it will cause bitcoin less miner and of course a dump since those chinese miners would dump. If they want bitcoin to dump, all bitcoiners from there can initiate one.  Grin Because of those reasons, I think even if China ain't controlling bitcoin for now they can control it.
1631  Other / Archival / Re: Where you get Bitcoin ? on: July 25, 2016, 09:49:05 AM
There are many methods to get bitcoins for free or with investment. The first is altcoin trading but you need to have a deposit and knowledge here. Without proper knowledge about it you will easily lose your money. The second option is gambling not recommended though since you can earn fast here and lose fast. The third option I suggest is via signature campaigns. They give a decent amount of btc and I highly recommend this method since it is easy to construct constructive post like these.  Grin
1632  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: July 24, 2016, 11:46:51 AM
I agree with OP. It affects me a lot to in a positive and negative way. The positive things it brought to me is that I learn to take risk, And I also learn that something must be done in order for something to occur or change. The negative thing it brought to me though is that sometimes I spend more time in this than doing recreational activities.
1633  Other / Off-topic / Re: How kids can "earn" Bitcoin ? on: July 24, 2016, 10:54:37 AM
I don't think it is wise to teach kids to earn bitcoin since they should hone their talents and wisdom in school and not to do these kind of activities. Well if it is a recreational activity for them it's ok but always tell them not to think what they are earning, but instead think of what effect it will have on his/her wisdom. I guess bringing kids here on bitcointalk to earn bitcoin is not a bad idea too since they will learn here.  Grin
1634  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: July 24, 2016, 10:06:08 AM
I think I don't like to receive my salary in my full time job in BTC but if it is a sideline it is okay. I like my full time job salary to be fiat because of some reasons. One of the reasons is that fiat's value is stabler than bitcoin and whatever fixed amount Ill get then that's it. Another reason is that we need fiat to survive in this increasingly sedentary world. Without stable source of it I think it would be hard to survive daily life.  Wink
1635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: July 24, 2016, 09:05:39 AM
here in the Philippines, If the one who sends and one who receives use the web wallet coins.ph,  the receiver receives bitcoins instantly in his/her btc wallet in his/her coins.ph account regardless of the confirmations. Well this app may be good to fasten up transactions since the sent bitcoins will reflect to your wallet instantly after a refresh or two after sending.  Grin
1636  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: July 24, 2016, 06:36:52 AM
if we're talking about assets I got 0% of my assets in bitcoin. I got 0% of my assets in bitcoin since I get them for free and I started from 0 then I have done faucets and started trading when I had enough and now I join signature campaigns just to get by and earn free bitcoins and im holding them.  Grin
1637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alarming bad publicity to bitcoins in social media on: July 24, 2016, 03:49:09 AM
That kind of reports are normal when it comes to bitcoin. Many thinks that bitcoin is criminal money because of it's association with darknet, and as a currency in darknet that's why many associates bitcoin as illegal money but the media takes advantages of it and get bitcoin's image become more bad because of it.
1638  Other / Politics & Society / Re: is Russia really supports Philippines and Vietnam against china? on: July 24, 2016, 02:23:20 AM
In my opinion Russia may or may not support Philippines. Well if they'll support Philippines I guess they'll do that because there's benefits. I also think that Philippines will not go to war againat China since their military power are far inferior than China and China have more manpower from Philippines.
1639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin get the ability to implement reversible transactions? on: July 24, 2016, 01:25:28 AM
I think bitcoin can get the ability to implement reversible transactions but I suggest it must be done with conditions. Well the one condition that they should consider before reversing transactions is that it must be unconfirmed and let the user check the btc address they have sent btc for 10 mins to check if they send the btc to the correct address and that's it.
1640  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think its the end of Capitalism? on: July 23, 2016, 11:42:25 PM
I don't think it is the end of capitalism. Capitalism will always be there since a business can be a business no matter what the services they offer. Someone can even capitalize even if People massively download digital goods instead of buy and Piracy social movement that wants to share instead of buy are there and even if bitcoin is here they can still capitalize it in my opinion.
