1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 28, 2022, 12:57:04 PM
I think you have made a really good point. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was the only person who acted as the backbone of Bangladesh cricket. he was the player who was basically holding the Bangladesh team together and after his departure, the Bangladesh team seems to be very different. every time the go into the field it feels like we are watching a clown show.
I have never visited Bangladesh, and therefore I don't know much about that country. What surprises me is that despite having such a huge population, Bangladesh always struggles in international cricket. And cricket is their no.1 sport as of now. Their population is similar to that of Pakistan and manytimes more than that of Sri Lanka. But Bangladesh can't compete against these teams and they can't produce players of the calibre of Babar Azam or Wanindu Hasaranga. I have wondered about the reason for the same, but can't find it (and domestic structure can't be blamed, as Sri Lanka has even shittier system).

As far as I have heard, there is a lot of corruption going on inside Bangladesh management. As a result, they are not able to take any appropriate steps to find talented players. While some talented players have been found, these players are also getting lost due to a lack of proper guidelines. If Bangladesh's top officials are not aware yet and do not take appropriate steps to find young talented players, we will see the Bangladesh team out of the top 10 in the next few years.

I don’t think that one needs to visit Bangladesh to see the sorry state of affairs there, and if you’ll search online you’ll find various stories about why cricket is failing in Bangladesh.

Also they deserve to be out of the top 10, because there’re other teams that could benefit by being in the top 10 but sadly there’re no odds available for this, but if there were then we all could have easily wagered on Bangladesh to crash outside the top 10 in coming year’s.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 28, 2022, 10:01:00 AM
Today there were some nice and especially exciting matches. Djokovic managed to qualify for the 2nd round, but it was not convincing at all. He even had to give up the 2nd set to his opponent, certainly not a top player. I don't believe Djokovic can win this tournament, his game was too sloppy today. Although his chances are of course bigger because Medvedev has been banned by the tournament organization. That still remains a tumult thing that exclude Russian athletes. They are welcome at some tournaments and not at others.
The player against whom Djokovic played is Kwon Soon-woo. South Korean Professional player who has been ranked 52 by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Djokovic losing a set isn't a big thing, because big players too slip at some points. However Kwon Soon-woo have played good, because in every set he have fought back losing the match 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-4. Medvedev out of the tournament is a good chance. Let's wait and watch whats gonna happen with the upcoming matches.

@Zackgeno96 it’s clear to see that Djokovic is rusty, but in the end he somehow managed to win and that’ll boost his confidence for his next match. Furthermore I expect him now to put in an improved performance for the next game, and I feel that we’ll see lower odds for Djokovic’s victory as he’ll yet be the favourite to win despite his sloppy performance in the previous game.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 28, 2022, 07:54:06 AM

The wet outfield have caused the Bangladesh team loss it's entire wickets for 186 runs. With this score West Indies needs 13 runs to win. The match is won by West Indies with ten wickets left. This is like an innings win. As said it is time to analyse much about the team and make necessary changes. If not, this is gonna devalue the team. The true performance of any team can be seen on the test matches than T20 and ODI. Bangladesh needs to make themselves strong, if not the performance on ODI and T20 too will go down.
I am unable to understand why Bangladesh is always in trouble. They should be a strong team by now, like the other teams of South Asia - India, SriLankan and Pakistan.
But they are always under radar after the matches. I am not happy with Bangladesh team performance.
If I'm not wrong, there is internal politics within the team/board. When the board isn't free to do the tasks, surely there arises issues like this. Bangladesh was making good performance recently, but they're no more good considering those days. Another thing I dislike with few Bangladesh players is there behaviour in the matches when they take wicket. The acts should not hurt the batsman, but some players do it purposely.
You don't need bother to talk about Bangladesh when it comes to test cricket. There is no doubt that they will dominate white ball matches, but not tests. It's okay not to be disappointed. It has been over 22 years since they've played test cricket and haven't learned anything about it. However, they continue to play test cricket. This format should be encouraged by Bangladesh so they can take a self-determination. This game is so boring, I'm curious as to how they managed to find sponsors.

I don’t think that Bangladesh have quality test specialists, and that’s a key reason why they keep on underperforming in Test matches, and even their board doesn’t seem to be making any efforts to groom player’s that can excel in this format. Also I don’t think that their fortunes will revive anytime soon in this format, hence it’s always a safe bet to wager against them whenever they’re playing Test cricket.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: June 28, 2022, 04:13:09 AM
Brazil still has a chance to win it's just that it probably won't be as smooth as it was in the cup last month, at least there are some big teams that have great players and are ready to score a win in the 2022 cup match, Rondaldo it's time to enjoy the old days but I sure messi is still able to continue to compete because he is still around 35 and still has enough time to compete again.

This time, it is going to be a tournament that is dominated by 35 plus players. I am not just talking about Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Lionel Messi of Argentina. Look at the other teams. Most of the top players are 35+. Kasper Schmeichel of Danmark, Manuel Neuer of Germany and Karim Benzema of France are examples. Even Neymar is in his 30s now. This means two things. Players are retiring late, thanks to better training and fitness regimen, and younger players are finding it more difficult to break in to the top level.
This year's Qatar world cup will be filled with several star players who are over 35 years old and will be their last world cup this year such as Cristiano Ronaldo Lionel Messi Manuel Neuer and also Karim Benzema, although it contains players who are 35+ of course it will make the game even more fierce considering that they will go all out for their respective countries because this is the last tournament for some of the world's star players, while there are also some players who are still 30+ years old, and we also believe in these players that age is only a definite number they can bring out the maximum ability at an age that is no longer young

I don’t think that their age will matter much because these player’s have shown that they can yet perform at the highest level, plus with all the experience behind them they’ll definitely be an asset for their team and help the youngsters settle in too. Lastly I don’t fancy Brazil winning it because I feel that they’ll choke when it’ll matter the most, hence in my personal opinion they won’t be winning the World Cup.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 27, 2022, 07:30:25 AM
Ferrari still has a lot of work to do. In fact, Red Bull of the top teams only seems to have its affairs in order now. Mercedes was disappointing at the start of the season and is still disappointing. Every race they should be happy if they fall into the points, and Hamilton will be happy if he can be on the podium with a 3rd place. That was different in recent years, of course. I don't see Mercedes solving this problem just like that. The gap to Red Bull and Ferrari is huge at the moment. Leclerc will be very disappointed with his retirements.

Worse than that is a disappointing truth...
As soon as the season started I believed that Ferrari had the ideal car to shine again on the podiums, but this enthusiasm soon turned to disappointment.
I would like to believe that the big problem this year was the radical changes imposed on the teams, but nothing justifies so many problems.
This is going to be a pretty unpredictable season, so it's best to hold on to your enthusiasm and save your chips for the next season.

@alegotardo I’ll second that after all the hype created by Ferrari they have totally disappointed their fans, and now I believe that it’s best to wager against them because I don’t think that they’ll win the championship this season. Furthermore depending on the odds wagering on Max only makes sense as he’s bound to win the maximum races this season, and I’m no longer expecting miracles from Ferrari to instantly fix their problems.
1626  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: June 27, 2022, 03:35:01 AM
Thank you for the information. I did not experience that with Cloudbet.

For what it is worth I have definitely never registered or sent funds to Cloudbet but every time I tried to visit the website I never encountered any issues. Given time maybe I will use TOR and try to see what happens when their servers are accessing from different countries.

I think from time to time it can happen if you catch a website at a time when there is heavy load on the servers or the CDN being used. I am not sure what has happened in this case but there are other websites I have checked that clearly display a notice stating game players (gamblers) from such and such country are banned from playing,

Checking by using different browsers first and then another device probably should be investigated too of something like that happens.
Cloudbet also displays a similar message if one is from a country that is blacklisted by them

In fact, the site loads normally until one tries to log in or registered. That's when the banner with the message appears. As for the above cases, the site does not completely load.

@JollyGood this is definitely a cache issue, and probably something the Cloudbet admin should check as one of the settings is probably causing this issue on the website.

Also this issue can come from the hosting side too and not necessarily a third party like cloudflare, but this issue is not a major one and once Cloudbet reports it then it should be fixed almost instantly, hence whenever you’ll see this issue post it here so they can pass it to the relevant people who can in turn provide a fix for it.
1627  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 26, 2022, 10:31:25 AM

That is the way to do it, there is no other way that would make sense. If you keep on gambling like it is a big deal to reach VIP then you will lose a lot of money that you shouldn't and that would be a sad thing. But, if you gamble like that is your regular gambling day without any extra, but if you just "happen to hit VIP without realizing" then that's fine and that is great.

That's one of the important experiences for me  Smiley and it's normal when bad experiences come at the beginning
Oh by the way anyone noticed the weekly bonus? after the last update I got a higher bonus than usual
usually between $10-12 but now around $25-30 there is an increase of 2x.
That bonus from VIP? At what medal rank? I never really checked this VIP thing until now, as I am just a casual gambler betting at sports events. I am kind of in a pause now because the league is on summer vacation.
But that huge bonus, I think I need to find a new sports hobby to bet for and reach that point.  Cheesy
I am still at 33% progress. I don't know about the calculation but how much do I need to wager to reach 100 percent?

@danherbias07 I don’t think that you should rush now to wager to achieve the VIP status, rather you should save and wait for the league matches to begin, and then try and reach the VIP rank cause you’ll be wagering on matches you fully understand. Also it’s clear that the bonus went to members at a higher level, and I’m not surprised as Stake is known to try new ways to make their user’s feel loved.

House edge has been a discussion here in the past and we all know the answer for a while now, sure maybe newbies may not know it, but all the veterans are quite aware of it. What is the reason why we are fine with %5, nay not even just fine, we are glad about it? Well it is simple, yes if you gamble at another place you may find a %1 house edge casino eventually, they do exist, and thats fine, if you want to then go ahead and gamble there. But here? Here we have %5 house edge and then a billion other things that pay us and possibly get us richer, from lambo to tickets of weekly lottery to reward points to spins to whatever else you can think of, thats all I thought of right now. Theoratically speaking, there is a possibility that you could make around 250k in a week here, by gambling mere few dollars, how? You gamble enough to win a golden ticket, then you have regular lottery tickets too, you won the lambo and you win the top prize of the weekly, and you get a few spins ,and get a rolex one as well. Of course you will not get all of them at the same time, and more likely that you will win none of them. But the "possibility" of that is better than nothing. So you either play with %5 house edge and have all these possibilities, or you play at %1 and get nothing.

@Captain Corporate you’re correct as newbies get scared learning about the 5% edge, because I was one of them too but once I started playing there I realised that I was actually getting paid to play which considerably reduced the edge. Also my current strategy is to use the sports book, and now I’m accumulating the coins and will be focused on premier league games and once the season begins I’ll wager on Manchester City as they’re bound to win majority of their games, and this season I intend to bank on their winnings and probably earn few golden tickets too during the process.

I finally made it everyone!!

Wagered over 1 BTC and saw my status is now also VIP. Ended up with about 25% losses but worth it and maybe I make a bit more if my weekly wager maintains.

I was on holiday from work this last few days and I know I should have gone out and enjoyed but I had a lot less money than I figured out when I applied for leave and the planned holiday became too expensive so I stayed home and gambled for hours past few days  Grin

There are some forum user that makes signature campaign as main source of income especially on people living on 3rd world country where poverty is high. I belong to this country too but I have a stable job and business so my campaign earnings is just a bonus same as yours but we should understand others POV on there signature campaign earnings.

I guess most of us are from 3rd world country but I also rely on my job and income,,, not signature or anything online which a lot of others do, I do not want to turn into a bounty hunter with posts that make people sick of being on this forum.

I remember coming to this forum the first time and liking the discussions. I do not know if I would feel the same way as a newbie coming now as discussion threads especially are just filled with spam posts of people posting for the sake of it. No contributions, not even betting or gambling  Roll Eyes

Is there any benefit in becoming a VIP on the site or not?
I had wagered a little from time to time early last year but don't think I have been there since. Won some lost more as it is with blackjack.
Third world country? Thought you were from Japan but working in Singapore from what I remember reading from your posts up on the UFC thread.
I consider both of those first world if you ask me as their GDP are quite high.

Anyways, congrats on the wins as I hope you didn't actually use up one whole bitcoin to achieve this VIP rank. A 3-to-1 ratio is about right when it comes to leveling up on such sites.

Right now, The only rewards for VIP users is 1mbtc per week if you manage to make 5mbtc wager volume consequtively for 7 days straight. There is no benefits besides that but new reward system will be introduced upon the release of v3.0 which is expected to be on the following weeks or two. But all the current VIP status will be carried over to the upgraded to thenew system so you can start leveling up your account now and earn rewards later.

@leea-1334 wow this is a really nice achievement for you, but can you tell us how did you spread your bets did you play wagering big bets or did you break it up into small bets?.

Furthermore you said you went into loses so did you stop while you were in red, or did you decide to chase your loses as this could be a nice lesson for all to learn, and lastly I’m keen to see those Vip benefits as Blackjack.fun has been here for long and those benefits will definitely make this site even more popular then it currently is.

Question for all the boys and girls:
Who do you think is going to win this World Cup 2022?
Lowest odds are on Brazil, France and then England, but I am hoping for some surprise winner this time.

I can tell you who will not win World cup from those favorits, England. They play without idea and plan and couldn't even score one goal in 180 minutes against Hungary while conceding 5. Even if they were playing much better they would again choke and loose in quater finals.

Argentina looks really strong at the moment, and I am rating them as possible winners. Last chance for Messi to lift a big one with national team as well.

we're all eagerly anticipating who will lift the trophy. The host country Qatar is playing possibly their biggest match in international football, but will they be able to beat ecuador and senegal and netherlands?
I expect the final match will be between the two stars Neymar and Messi, and Brazil has players who can win this tournament. I think that Messi needs a lot of help from his teammates and fight fiercely to finish his career with a world title

I feel that it’s not a bad idea to wager on England to win the World Cup if the odds look good, because their injury crisis would be over by then, and Southgate would have learnt his lesson i.e. to stick to tried and tested methods only and avoid experimenting unnecessarily. Also since we’re picking teams which will not win I’ll recommend not to wager on France even if the odds look tempting, because my gut feeling is saying that they’ll crash out early in the competition.

Here's a little bit more information about our Mega Airdrop on CoinMarketCap
https://coinmarketcap.com/gravity/articles/30365
Questions..

- How do Owl.games select those eligible airdrop participants by simply completing the tasks required?
- How about the receiving address?
- Is there any parameters or points to reach for a person to be eligible?

Interestingly, this will be the first airdrop I will be participating in since I stopped doing bounty campaigns...  Grin Thank you very much!
Those are some of the questions that always draw me back from participating in airdrop or bounties, the team always finds it hard to verify participants, and at that many fake accounts get access and absorbed the rewards leaving other legitimate participants will be left with nothing. Take what happened to owl bounty recently where there are cases of abuse and multiple accounts enrollment, which was against the rule and a violation that lead to the pausing of the other promotional sig campaign. That is, by the way, the coin market cap is a big market place and hosting an airdrop there will give the token bigger exposure.

Exactly. But coinmarketcap airdrop is not different on bounty campaign here because they don't have KYC verification but rather you need only to connect social account and do certain task. I participated multiple airdrop there and I don't received anything because the winner of airdrop is through lucky draw process which means you are competing to million users including farm account just to receive a few dollar. But is indeed a good exposure because the token will be trending on coinmarketcap assuming there will be no other big project doing same airdrop to the owl event that will outshine it.

Those are some of the questions that always draw me back from participating in airdrop or bounties, the team always finds it hard to verify participants, and at that many fake accounts get access and absorbed the rewards leaving other legitimate participants will be left with nothing.
...
In light of the previous issues that occur during the bounty campaign, are you saying that I shouldn't take part in the airdrop?

I raise this question because I find the information to be lacking and because it differs significantly from all other airdrops in which I have taken part, which required a minimum amount of stake or points to be qualified for the airdrop.

But if the airdrop is distributed at random, it isn't an airdrop; rather, it is a "free random giveaway" with conditions.

I believe that the team is relying on inner security working of coinmarketcap to weed out bot or multiple accounts hence they have partnered with them, and only once this contest ends will we come to know if they were successful in keeping fraudsters out of this giveaway. @Maus0728 I see no reason why you shouldn’t participate, because if you’re a legit user then participating in this giveaway will increase your chances of winning hence in my personal opinion you should participate.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 24, 2022, 03:55:43 PM
Bayern Munich must have been relieved after signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool. They completed this deal for a really acceptable amount of money at the same time. They are going to pay nearly the half of his market value at Liverpool. Sadio Mane is a rival for Leroy Sane on the left wing now. Sane has been showing a very good performance so Mane is going to need to fight hard to capture the starting eleven spot from him. Bayern Munich must be thinking of Mane in the starting eleven without any doubt. Mane can even play as a centre-forward too and this can help Bayern Munich a lot in case Lewandowski leaves.

@emrecemsan wasn’t his signing done to balance the team in case Lewandowski left?, and it won’t be a bad idea to play him as a centre forward too because I’m sure that he’ll be able to score lots of goals from that position. Also is anyone seeing any odds on Ronaldo moving to Bayern as a direct replacement for Lewandowski, because some media outlets are reporting that he may leave for Bayern?.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 24, 2022, 10:36:51 AM
I think the English Premier League next season will be very interesting and it is difficult to predict who will win.

Yes it will, and it has become a tradition that the EPL is an interesting league to follow from season to season.

To predict the EPL winner is not too difficult in my opinion, from 2 seasons ago we know that the strongest rivalry to get the EPL title is held by Liverpool and Manchester City, and next season will also be like that.
But the current rumor is about Neymar being linked with Chelsea in addition to Barcelona and Juventus, if Neymar really joins Chelsea then of course the title race is getting more exciting and the EPL is a league that is more competitive than ever. There are more and more star players and great coaches as well as the richest owners in the EPL and it is an interest to wait for, so it's no wonder the EPL match every week becomes a big match that is worth watching.

@hahay I strongly feel that it’ll be Manchester City who’ll yet be strong and on the top, because they won the title without a recognised striker so now imagine what they’ll do with Halland on the field. Lastly I would recommend wagering early on them for higher odds, and I’m seriously considering to wager against Liverpool for the initial few games as Mane’s transfer will psychologically effect them, and they’re bound to draw few games early on in the season.

Paul Pogba is back to Juve for FREE after being sold to Man United for 100 mil Euros, 6 years ago. Great piece of business from Juve I suppose. Pogba is still only 29 and is supposed to be in his prime. His performances have been on and off but it doesnt change the fact that he does have the quality and skills in him and could be an asset for the club.
interestingly early he shone at Juventus Pogba was also brought from MU for free there.
The 29-year-old is still pretty good but the EPL isn't the right place for Pogba and it's very good that he's gone from United now. Even if there is no guarantee that Pogba will still shine at Juventus but as you said, he is still very useful for the midfield. Hopefully the performance will return as before.

Pogba could not adapt to the fast gameplay of the Premier League. Manchester United paid a lot of wages to Pogba, but Pogba's performance was very poor. My guess is that Pogba is suitable for La Liga or Serie A. However, it cannot be said for sure that Pogba will be able to play well with the Juventus team. His performance in the last few seasons has been very poor. He will also face a lot of problems to adapt to the new team.

@CryptoBuds the key reason Pogba failed to shine at Manchester United was because of his poor attitude, and he seemed more focused on off field jobs then working hard on the pitch. Lastly during his previous assignment at Juventus he had top class player’s around him, and now I wonder without them can he once again perform like he used to do in the past?.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 24, 2022, 03:53:07 AM
There is no doubt €40 million for a play age 34 and having amazing career at Bayern Munich ideal, and now I read on social media they are going to increase this offer with €50 million, but we have new twist from Bayern Munich sports director that he is saying we are not going to sell him which is really shocking because most peoples understand before end of last season now Robert Lewandowski is going to leave this club the end of this season but suddenly this new twist is going have some drama in this all transfer because I am also feeling they will sell him as they already have replaced his spot with a quality player who can give them good result in Bundesliga and Champions League both competitions.
The lewandowski transfer saga getting interesting with barcelona admitted that they are ready to present him as barcelona player very soon .. while bayern munich side claimed that they are not planning to sell lewandowski anymore , 40 million euros are not something usual for an old player .. but lewandowski are exceptional , he is worth it so yeah ... get this transfer done bbarcelona!
with aubameyang and lewandowski now probably in and dembele probably out .. barcelona seems has no regeneration plan in the near future due the crisis.
Barcelona has a clausal 35 million, only 5 million difference to continue. Bayern must leave him to go because Lewa really wants to go, this makes make relationship tenuous between them. If not continue, I believe it will make him perform going down in Bayern next, it's just a waste, same as Pogba in MU. So like you said, Lewa is getting old, 35 million is huge money for this age, that much money Bayern can bring a young player to Allianz.

I really don't understand why Bayern Munich is so hellbent on keeping the player. I think they can easily let him go and bring in another good striker. But they are not willing to do that because they have not found a really good replacement for this player. And even though Barcelona is giving a lot of hints that they are going to get Robert Lewandowski on the team, I really think they should not do that because there are not financially stable right now.

I think that the answer is really simple here that Bayern is trying to extract maximum money they can for Lewandowski, and despite their public statements that he won’t be sold believe me they’ll sell him. Lastly they’re also trying not to upset their fans who adore Lewandowski, hence if the odds yet look good then I feel that one can wager on Lewandowski exit as it’s bound to happen in coming days.

Indeed, Mbappe chose to stay with Paris Germain for a lot of money, he is still young and has the right to decide, but Paris has enough football talent, but he cannot get the CL title if the club is really. He aspires to win the European title, he needs a high-quality technical framework like Zidane or Morgan. I think Paris have enough time to sign a coach with high potential to help them win the CL.
Paris Saint Germain have a line of star players but that cannot lead them to higher achievements, in this case the Champions League. I wonder if their coach made it so difficult for them to compete, because if you look at the composition of the players, they really don't lack.
I agree zidane is a good choice, especially I heard he wants to come back down as coach, this is an opportunity for them to approach him.
There is no talking yet between Zidane and Nasser, If so it's like mission impossible for both to create an agreement to continue the contract. Zidane is still waiting for Didier Deschamp's contract to finish until December 2022 for the National team where his dream is to be the coach. And, I hear a news PSG has found who credible person to replace the position, a lucky guy is Christophe Galtier, a Nice coach which brings that club to rank 5.

I feel that we need to move on from discussing about Mbappe and discuss the odds of PSG new coach, because there’s a good chance that Zidane could take over at the end moment. Also is anyone wagering on this if yes what are the best odds you seen so far, and while initially I thought that Zidane wouldn’t come now I feel that he may just make a u turn and sign up for PSG.

With Sonny Kittel, they no longer need to worry. The negotiations between Kittel and DC United Washington have failed. According to his statement and from Hamburger SV, he now wants to stay at Hamburg after all. I'm curious to see if he is 100% satisfied with that and goes into next season with full energy.

yes yes. sonny kittel is now staying with hamburger sv. first he wanted to leave. for a joke transfer fee of 1.million euros.
and now tim walter is thrilled again that sonny is staying in hamburg. i hope he will be happy in hamburg.
because only when sonny is happy does he make good matches. and in the last season he was unfortunately often not so happy.  Grin

now i'm still curious how much money hamburg will get for Vagnoman. he will probably move to stuttgart.

I believe that Hamburger Sv is lucky to have retained him as he can play in multiple positions, and his stats show that he has scored 30 goals in 104 games which isn’t bad, and since he’s staying by executing his own free will we can definitely expect him to score more goals next season.

Lastly while Vagnoman has agreed to switch to Stuttgart, the clubs are failing to reach a deal as HSV is asking for more than $7 million and Stuttgart is refusing to comply, and here it’ll be interesting to see who backs down first or in the end we could see this transfer collapse too.

Time to update this thread for the 2022/23 season  Grin

Here are the 20 teams that form the English Premier League for the 2022/23 season:

Arsenal
Aston Villa
Brentford
Bournemouth
Brighton and Hove Albion
Burnley
Chelsea
Crystal Palace
Everton
Fulham
Leeds United
Leicester City
Liverpool
Manchester City
Manchester United
Newcastle United
Nottingham Forest
Southampton
Tottenham Hotspur
West Ham United
Wolverhampton Wanderers

@JollyGood I expected you to leave your predictions before the season started, but since you have not left yours I’m leaving mine. I’m expecting Manchester City to start strong because of Halland, and Liverpool will drop few points as Mane’s absence is bound to hurt them, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Tottenham gave some serious competition to these two sides, and lastly if anyone else wants to make early predictions please do so.

^^^^ I like Border-Gavaskar Trophy better when it is played in Australia. Nowadays India just dominates test matches that are played at home, irrespective of the opponent. When the series is played in the Southern hemisphere, it becomes more entertaining and competitive. I like Ashes, notwithstanding which country is hosting the series. The Trans-Tasman Trophy is another enjoyable test series, partly due to all the bad blood which exists between both the sides that take part in it. But the undisputed champion is India vs Pakistan test series, which in all probability will not take place for the next two decades.
Lol sorry didi but this one cracked me up  Grin as i've never heard anyone saying this about Trans-Tasman trophy. It's good for Kiwis bashing from OZ point of view but not exciting to watch, individual contests are exceptional tho. The way i see it NZ is Australia's SL (similar to Ind-SL cricket relationship)

Ashes in Australia is one-sided affair tbh  Undecided

@JSRAW you’re correct but what do you think under Stokes and their new coach leadership will England be able to change their performances in Ashes?, and I know that there’s yet time but the initial signs do look promising. Lastly politics aside India should play test matches with Pakistan, because I remember that it was so much fun watching Sehwag score 300+ runs against Pakistan, and both sides are very strong now hence it’ll be really memorable to watch them play against each other.

BCCI can't do anything on this matter, unless State board along with States comes with the solution, which i highly doubt it because our existing stadiums are in bad shapes and state boards are not even interested in fixing such issue so i'm not expecting anything drastic. Then there is also sustainability situation, in current situation it's not possible at all.

IPL fixtures could change that but for this IPL need to have big window like 4-5 months so that expensive (retractable) stadiums could get at least 20-25 home matches to even break even price.

Not that sure about the sustainability. Having retractable roofs would ensure matches during the monsoon season, and it can bring tons of revenue to the BCCI. With the IPL media rights going up by 3-4 times every 5 years, I don't think that the authorities need to worry about the ROI. For example, the washed out 5th T20I against South Africa could have been saved, if it was played in a stadium with such a facility. BTW, when was the last time we had cricket matches in stadiums with retractable roof? I remember a few matches two decades back in Australia.
Yes, having retractable roof is a good solution and to BCCI should first convince the government of Maharashtra as their head office is located in Mumbai. It won't be an easy task but convincing of the amount of revenue such stadium will generate might make th state government  and the state board agree. If I am correct you can construct retractable celing on an existing stadium. Therefore no need to construct a new one.

I feel that this is an actually pretty good idea, because during monsoon people miss cricket a lot in India, and if BCCI can arrange matches during this period then I’m sure that all tickets will be sold out especially for T20 games. However one problem I see is that there would be activists citing environmental issues, and it’ll be tricky even for BCCI to get this approved without facing resistance, but in the long run it’ll pay off as they can arrange more T20 matches during the monsoon season.
