1621  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would society be without the internet? on: August 13, 2017, 01:28:35 PM
Your guess?

I think the society would be back to normal. People would laugh more and friendlier compared to what they are today. Internet killed people's social ability. People became lazy and unsociable. They spend less time talking with their family and friends because of the internet. Most of the people would spend their time on the internet chatting and nosing around other people's lives.
1622  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: August 12, 2017, 11:28:36 AM
Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

You should really consider going to college and finishing a degree. Nowadays, people are competitive, so it's hard to find a job if you weren't able to finish any degree. It's better if you would have an edge if ever you will find a job someday. It will take you far in the future if you finish a degree.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will all coins continue to go down until 1st August? on: July 23, 2017, 04:08:00 PM
I've heard of something happening on August 1st, I still don't know what it is. It seems to be dumping all coins.
Is it safe to say they'll continue to drop till the end of the month and then rebound in August?
What is happening on August 1st?

I think the news about August 1 will have a big impact to all the crypto currencies' value. Most likely everyone will be afraid that there will be a big drop on August 1 so everyone might sell out during that time. So, the value of all the coins will surely drop. Even if the news about August 1 is true or not it surely has a great effect on the value of all coins.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: July 23, 2017, 03:00:10 PM
As i know gambling is all about luck and how to control my greed, except sportbetting (of course need skill and strategy).

I have experience in gambling (casino), somtime i hit big only with faucet or free money and i can withdraw from that. but because my greed i always want more and more, then i'll come again with my money as bankroll. Bet more and hope win more, but because of that i'll lose my money little by little and usually i'll stop after my bankroll to be "0". I call that with greed.
Anyone here have any suggestion to control my greed? Let me know.

The only thing that I keep on mind when I gamble is that I just think that whenever I gamble I will surely lose the money that I'll spend on it. That way I can limit the amount of money that I set-up before I start. So, whenever I start gambling I set a limit. When I reach it I stop. That way you can avoid losing a lot of money.
1625  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are we brainwashed? on: July 23, 2017, 02:33:38 PM
I look around and see people no longer have goals.
We are perfect consumers. And I can't help thinking that over time, we have been "gently" pushed in this direction.
No more goals, no ideas, ideology, morals or principles. Just having the latest iWhatever, fast car and sleep with plenty of women. Like a new special breed of zombies.
In the past people fought and gave their life for freedom. And now I think we are less free then before. It's just that we are persuaded otherwise. Like in ancient Rome - bread and circus.

I somehow agree with you're idea. I think this is the outcome of having a lot of freedom. People are free whatever they want to do. We became free to share our ideas, which means either we care or not it's really up to us. Whether we have plans or if we want to make the society a better place is up to us. The bad thing is most people won't even care. I think this things came up to my mind when I read this.
1626  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do Love really exist ? on: July 23, 2017, 11:59:29 AM
Hatred has taken over almost every where in the societies in recent time whether in the  family, Church, Musqe, office, play ground, school, among young and old people. All of this that happen in our societies made me wonder whether LOVE exist. This is because if you check the meaning of love you will agree with me that love doesn't exist anywhere.

You wont find love in a "family, Church, Musqe, office, play ground, school, among young and old people", UNLESS you first find it in your own heart. The same goes for peace or sense of justice.

So yes, there is a love as a sister to hatred. For those, who choose to have space for them in their hearts.

Opposite of hatred is not love - it is apathy and ignorance.

Well, this reply is well said. I agree with this. It's true you can't really find love if your blinded by hatred. It's really easy to find love. You're family raised you well, sent you to school, fed you everyday it's all out of love. You're friends stays with you, care for you, look for you and many things this is also all out of love. Just by caring for others signifies love. You just need to look at the bright side. Love is everywhere.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: July 20, 2017, 08:34:39 PM
Well if you're really up for fun you should gamble, if you're aim is to gain profit go Invest. It's risky to gamble your money because you might end up losing all of it but it's a fast way to earn cash too compared when you invest. It's just a matter of choice and purpose.
1628  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: July 20, 2017, 07:12:55 PM
I was born as a Christian so my answer would be yes. As a child it had been on my mind that people are created by God equally and to his liking. I also have faith in God, and believe that God has a plan for each of us.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: July 20, 2017, 01:55:56 PM
I don't gamble a lot, but the only thing I know is that the chance of losing in gambling is higher than winning. So, I don't think that making it a habit is not good.

1632  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the United States of America? on: July 18, 2017, 12:25:25 AM
There are many conspiracy theories when we talk about U.S.A. We don't know whether it's true or not because there's no solid proof about it, but it's somehow convincing. Just like the 9/11 attack in U.S.A and a lot more. And also now just imagine how Trump won in the presidency, I think that's hilarious, how can he win against an experienced politician.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know whether its your lucky day? on: July 18, 2017, 12:05:02 AM
I think it's when you feel good and when on your first bet you win. It happened to me before that even when I was careless on betting I still won. So, I guess that's the sign that's my lucky day.

1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling affected your life in a good way? on: July 15, 2017, 08:54:10 PM
I guess one thing that I learned from gambling that  somehow affected me positively is "limitations." I've had an experience before that made me really miserable, I was very mad because I lost almost half of my pocket money (school) because of gambling. I was convinced that the next bet would mine so I asked my friend to lend me some money so that I could have my money back. But, it ended the bad way, I lost all my money. So, from that moment I learned to control and limit my self. I don't want that to happen to me again.
1637  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: July 15, 2017, 06:51:09 PM
Well, there are some benefits on drinking alcohol, it may lessen stress and maybe good for the heart (wine.) But, it's sure that when you abuse drinking it can affect your health badly. So, whenever you drink, make sure that you do it with moderation. You can enjoy drinking the best if you do it with moderation.
1638  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: July 15, 2017, 06:24:39 PM
Technology brought a lot of things to humans, it helped us a lot, it daily routines easier. However, there's a down side when we talk about technology. Just compare how people or families talk 10 years ago and our times now. How people spend their time, how they share ideas, how they value friendship.
It somehow connected people from all over the country but the truth is it disconnected us to the world that we really live in. Just observe, and you will see, families have they dinner and not talking just browsing the net and taking selfies. Studying with your friends using cellphones or computers instead of sharing individual ideas.

1640  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: July 13, 2017, 11:08:10 PM
All drugs have its side effects, some drugs can cure someone's disease but it can be harmful and addictive if it is abused. I think there's no problem on using drugs or medicine as long as it is prescribed by doctors, but if not better not use it because it has side effects that can be harmful to our bodies.
