16201  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: May 26, 2015, 02:12:04 PM
Bitcoin can become more stable if it ever reaches critical mass and millions if not billions of peeps adopt it and use it as a store of wealth and as a merchant currency but until that happens the whales and other big bitcoin peeps will play with it up and down like a yoyo on the exchanges.

you don't need billions of people, you just need rich guys to start trading seriously with bitcoin, they will raise it in no time(witouth actually losing or gaining anything, by building fake wall all the time) and everyone will be happy

the remaining will follow the wave as usual, merchant included, we need something that will triggers a raise then the upward trend will start automatically
16202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an actual Bitcoin bank yet? on: May 26, 2015, 02:04:07 PM
A bank doesn't mean centralization. A central bank means centralization.

If you run a bitcoin related business, you will see that a lot of traditional banks don't accept your money because of regulatory issues. For all these companies, a bitcoin bank would make sense.

Also if you see how many regulations for ATMs exist in some countries: A Bitcoin related bank could easily run a lot of those.

Cold storage is, in some jurisdictions, highly (over-)regulated. With a Bitcoin bank, this would be easier.

There is a lot of possibilities for a bank without being a threat of decentralization or the basic idea behind Bitcoin. This mainly depends on the concept of such a bank.

But if you think about traditional banking as we know it - then I agree: No need.

centralization isn't only related on how many can control your money, but to the fact that you don't have full control over them(unless you convert all your money in cash and you're payed also in cash at your job, which is not possible), so a bank can't be considered like a node, and will only be a part of the global centralization around fiat

the only bitcoin bank is your client, nothing else, otherwise dump for fiat if you really need one because you can't secure your money, and for regulation problem leave your country altogether, i would say...
16203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much longer till you can buy a Slurpee at 7/11 with Bitcoin? on: May 26, 2015, 01:57:23 PM
my guess is it will be about a year after now or after two years.
because lots and lots of people are now beginning to know about bitcoin and its fast Cheesy

Does this post of yours count toward the sig campaign, for clearly you didn't read the rest of this short thread?

there isn't much too read, is just a guessing thread it could happen between 1 to 5 years at worst

anyone will throw, his random guess...

but it could be added that something like this will happen after every major merchant incorporate bitcoin for their payment, i think that the acceptance of bitcoin will start from the big first, like a reverse pyramid
16204  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E Scam on: May 26, 2015, 01:46:13 PM
did you asked support to clickbetter too? maybe they need their approval too, it sound strange that for a bitcoin refund(you sure they think is a bitcoin refund and not fiat refund) you need to wait so much
16205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: May 26, 2015, 12:04:32 PM
you should add "none of the above" or something, because i don't think that he really is among one of those people

This.

Or you should be able to vote for numerous people. I think bot Nick Szabo and Hal had something to do with it or know more than we do about the creation of bitcoin or the identity of satoshi.

it could be true also, if we are guessing that satoshi is not a single entity, so this poll does not make much sense, it missing many options

16207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DICE traceable cash on: May 26, 2015, 11:57:34 AM
they can just go ahead and remove cash altogether, i don't see much of a difference in doing that and replacing it with this traceable cash

electronic money is all we need, still bitcoin is better than both...
16208  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will 21 Inc chips bring in faster hash rate than existing ASICs ? on: May 26, 2015, 11:50:19 AM
their chip will be based on the future nm processing, they will be for sure less power hungry, and i suppose more efficient overall
16209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~ ON CNBC ~ Twitch.tv ~ CSGO, Poker, RPG + More! on: May 26, 2015, 10:48:42 AM
the price is really stable, is this the most stable currency of all? it stuck there since ages, yeah i know it was 20k before, but still...
16210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction 2015 ฿ on: May 26, 2015, 10:39:25 AM
What's the poll asking?

Is it asking for the lowest Bitcoin price for 2015, or the highest?

are you serious... it simply asking what will be the price by the end of 2015, nothing more or less
16211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe investment to get 6%/year (10-20k, possible long term. Important - safety) on: May 26, 2015, 10:36:15 AM
6%....is low

it depends how big is your investment, those kind of interest usually rely on a big investment not 1 btc or tiny amount like that, also the more the return the more chances that you are dealing with ponzi scammers
16212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is time to raise the blockchain size. on: May 26, 2015, 10:31:51 AM
What will happen if the Blockchain size increasing, 1 week downloading for Bitcoin Core.

not really, with a 850 pro it easy to download any synching process, you also need a good cpu, i realize that not everyone has those, but a ssd(a cheap one like evo is more than good for synching) is basically mandatory nowadays
16213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: May 26, 2015, 10:29:38 AM
only my family, i don't care about friends, there are also no real friends, and besides my brother they did not understand it well at first, they when they realized that i was dealing with money, they started to be more interested

so just tell that to everyone when they ask you what is bitcoin
16214  Economy / Economics / Re: What happened ? on: May 26, 2015, 07:58:40 AM
the next big price rise would be the halving of blocks to 12.5btc ...in 2017.

block halving will happen in 2016. the "big" rise will most likely start in january or february 2016. i think target is $400-$450 after halving.

Why it will start on January or February while the Halving block reward will happen on the last end of the year or the beggining of 2017 as far as I know Shocked Beside I was expecting a lot more to be honest , 450$ is a little bit low if you ask me .

it's not the beginning of 2017, but around the summer of 2016, so basically we are a year away from it, not that long of a wait anymore, something should happen soon about the price

450 it seems a too random prediction, one thing is certain, if the price will decrease with the halving, then you can consider bitcoin definitely dead....

16215  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Am i getting a good deal? on: May 26, 2015, 07:13:14 AM
no, better to raise to 0.1, because senior are sold for at least 0.2, a full member is at least half of that, can't be lower
16216  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: question on bitstamp trading on: May 26, 2015, 07:10:48 AM
if this current cycle(the current "swing range") will repeat itself some more times(and it looks like it is the case), you can try to sell at 240 and buy at 230
16217  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: May 26, 2015, 06:57:10 AM
But they dont adopt it easily in business because bitcoin need some regulation to make it clear that we can use it for businees

BTC doesnt need a regulation for it to be used as payment options. Basically regulations depends on each goverment, on the other hand some government are supporting and some banned BTC in their country. Having some regulations means that BTC is bowed to the goverment which is not the purposes of BTC to be a decentralized currency.

All people need is not a regulations but education on how better BTC is against FIAT. Some people just dont know how BTC is better and it can be change

If there are no regulations for the payment method or other things about bitcoin I dont think the government will support about this bitcoin in some countries. They will support this bitcoin when it comes to some profit that government can "eat".

The goverment will not support BTC since it brings them no good at all, things that cant be control or yearn some benefit for the goverment will not be consider at all . Basically they will just leave it aside and if things tend to be threatening then they will bann it i.e Rusia.

Furthermore, there will be huge rejection on applying tax for BTC incase the goverment want to gain something from it. This "tax" things has been issued year ago. You might want to read this ARTICLE and this ARTICLE too

Applying tax to btc is a pain in the ass tho. Imagine you bought BTC in an exchange that is now dead and all the information of the buys and sells are over... so what are going to do if they ask?
Yeah. What they are going to do with they collected coins. And also what is the benefits that we can get if we pay taxes? i think it would the same as the thing in fiat money, they will corrupt the money and they put it in their address.

they taxed it so they can retrieve a portion of the bitcoin value back to their shitty fiat, bitcoin right now is sucking(well not exactly now, because there is no raising) fiat value, and bank does not like this, they taxes are intended for this reason too, but they don't tell you that
16218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to make bitcoin on: May 26, 2015, 06:52:15 AM
For me it's been selling things for it.

but you payed for it, so it's not exactly what he is asking

his only option is faucets or a job for bitcoin, there something online, like clicking or writing stuff
16219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "In 5 or 10 years I think every online retailer will accept Bitcoin." -Gavin on: May 26, 2015, 06:25:16 AM
I admire Gavin's optimism and if everything goes to plan I think he will be right, but I'm not so convinced myself though I hope I'm just being sceptical. I guess we can only wait and see what te future holds for bitcoin.

actually he is very pessimist, and very conservative on his words, if you look at bitcoin now, bitcoin can achieve such objective in a far less than 5 years, hell i could say the next year is perfect for achieving all the great aiming which bitcoin needs

Less than 5 years is impossible. The shortest amount will be atleast 5 years and Gavin is correct in this . As we can see, there are only small numbers of retailer that accepts bitcoin now. For the whole online retailer to accept bitcoin it will take a lot of years and also we can see that only a small number of people that know bitcoin now

Amph rarely knows what he's talking about but will feel compelled to offer his drivel at any opportunity, but you're likely more right than he is. If bitcoin was going to go mainstream this fast it would have already happened. 5-10 years is a reasonable guesstimate and even that isn't guaranteed, but of course I would like it to be much less than that but the mainstream sadly isn't as excited about btc as I am.

no one actually knows here, what will be the right time, we are just guessing, every guess is a good guess you know, so saying he is more right than me is just throwing another random guess nothing else...useless, and 10 years is definitely too much, 5 is even more than enough, i still think that the 2016 will bring what we want from this whole bitcoin thing
16220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is time to raise the blockchain size. on: May 26, 2015, 06:22:30 AM
Isnt this already planned for 2016 by gavin?

it was planned for this year but then they raised that problem about the need of more MB of ram, and they changed their mind
