As of now, I think I am nearing 1 BTC in my offline wallet and I am grateful and excited that bitcoin continue to rise, which means it increase my dollar holding equivalent. I am thankful that I joined in some successful ICO before, it really help me earn additional bitcoin.
Good thing that you have 1 bitcoin in your offline wallet. Because when I was still new to bitcoin it's almost a year before I reach my goal to have 1 bitcoin. But that is worth it and right today I still doesn't have that much though I believe that one day it will give me a good income when the price gets higher soon. |

What a comparison of bitcoin and zcash. I am sure if worldwide survey is taken more than 70% would say that they have never even heard of zcash and 99 % would have heard of bitocin name itself prove that what is in for the long run to be exists.
Zcash is also popular nowadays but no doubt that people will get to choose bitcoin as it is the most popular crypto that has a bigger market cap. But for me, I've got friends that are mining alt coins and they are preferring to choose zcash for it because it is giving them good profit in the end. And they are still depending on bitcoin. |

I feel sad obviously but can't do much about it. I try now to trade more long term, buy a few promising alts and hold them as I find day trading way too stressful and tiring. I have always lost in day trading so long term trading works out a little bitter for me.
All of us are going to feel sad when we are going to lose in trading. It's a normal feeling and you are not a person if you can't feel sorry and regret when you are losing. But with those loses it is teaching us on how to become stronger. With the lesson I learned, I started to hold for a longer term because I can see it's more promising. Lose is the reward for greedy traders but it is a good thing and not a bad thing to be the reason for us to be sad because getting a loss from trading is like learning a lesson from a teacher that can improve us in trading and also to be able to make better decisions. If you look at your coins that is having a losing moment then don't sell it and keep it for long term to above getting losses. I don't think it's good to say that it is a reward for greedy traders. How about those newbies but they experienced to lose some good amount when they started to trade. Not all the time it's good to say that losing is a reward for greedy people. But yes, it is a good thing that you had experience lose so that you can learn and in the future you can take the advantage. |

It is impossible to consider only one type of activity, it will not bring enough money. You need to have several different sources of income to always be with money. Just keep on working there and allocate some spare time with bitcoin. It seems that this is just a manipulation to get bitcoin at a price that is not too high.
Due to fact that until now the bitcoin price is getting higher along with increase of bitcoin users in various countries
They really want to make the price lower so they are doing everything for their own sake. They are making the people scared with the price increase so that everyone that is holding bitcoin will be forced to sell. I didn't regret not selling my bitcoins when the price dump, now it looks like we are going to hit the $2,000 dollars mark, this is awesome, I think I can set my retirement early with what going on with bitcoin. I'm happy I listen to people's advice here and disregard those FUD, holding is the key to make money. It is for real, it is going to hit $2,000 very soon just a little bit of movement and we are close to it. Not buying a single bitcoin back when I could, when BTC used to be around ~$200-$250. Even one BTC would be such a great deal for me to be honest.

I agree with you, the dollar will not be replaced by any currency. Including bitcoin, after all I myself prefer the bitcoin as an alternative to the dollar. That's better for me Dollar is the main currency and preferred currency by most of the businesses and investors. And if bitcoins price is not valued by dollar I doubt it that many are going to get into it. But because of bitcoins unstable price and it is depending to dollars, it will not replace dollar but it will always be a good preference when trading. Bitcoin can only become an additional virtual currency or a good tool for earning, but not replace the dollar. The dollar has existed too long and it is almost impossible to remove it. Yes we can't remove dollar as the main currency of the US government and most of the countries are depending on their economy and it's the basis of most of the foreign exchange. Bitcoin is the best form of cash for me because we can use it to buy things and also earn money if we will put it on an investment like in the altcoins that are keep growing now and that is the reason i think that bitcoin is better than cash.
Bitcoin is not cash, if I'm correct cash is fiat. Instead of calling it as cash it is a currency and I would say that it can be good as cash, maybe that's the proper and right term for it. "Real money"? lol. The biggest difference is that bitcoin will be around a lot longer than fiat if that is what you are referring to and that is a huge difference.
