16241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin issue on: January 21, 2016, 09:13:38 PM
Yeah no kidding, everyone wants to HODL and this is why bitcoin isn't a great currency.  But people don't spend precious metals anymore and yet they're still good to own and are a good store of value.
16242  Economy / Goods / Re: NEW SILK ROAD T-Shirt on: January 21, 2016, 08:13:12 PM
Don't buy the T-Shirt from this user.

I doubt he has the rights to use the Silk Road logo on a T-Shirt.
Lol, rights to Silk Road.  I wouldn't buy it in any case, as I don't like the design.  I was expecting something more creative but perhaps I shouldn't have been, given OP's brilliant sales pitch here.
16243  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer idyu on: January 21, 2016, 07:53:18 PM
catch me if u can via some tor exit nodes Cheesy
Yeah, see what an immature cunt he is and this is why he's on my ignore list.  Probably a teenager from a shitty 4th world country (no offense) trying to scam people.  Wise up, asshole.
16244  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What if Bitcoin is made illegal? We must reject the illuminati takeover ! on: January 21, 2016, 07:46:12 PM
Bitcoin cannot be made illegal, it is decentralized which means no one party can control it.
You would have to go into every miners house and remove their mining equipment to stop Bitcoin.
Uh, yes it can definitely be made illegal--the same way child pornography and drugs and all that other stuff that bitcoin can buy is already illegal.  Mostly globally, too.  That doesn't mean people will stop using bitcoin of course, just like they won't stop using the two things I mentioned either.  It will just be illegal.  Just like it's illegal to print your own money.
16245  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bitcoin's Newest Ponzi Scheme! lol, its so obvious yet people there don't know on: January 21, 2016, 07:22:42 PM
Yeah, there's tons of that sort of thing on bitcointalk.  I guess a lot of use have become inured to it and have come to expect it.  And yet still there are so many suckers willing to believe anything.  Any claim that you can double, triple your money, whatever, they run to it.  It's crazy.
16246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do Bitcoins need something REAL to back them? on: January 21, 2016, 07:07:38 PM
Not sure why this thread got necrobumped, but I do like seeing these old ones.

Bitcoin doesn't need anything backing it, and it's the same thing with other currencies in the world.  Yeah it used to be the case that each dollar had an ounce of silver behind it, but that turned out to be unnecessary.  If people decide something represents the fruit of their labors (that's what's behind it), it's money.
16247  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer idyu on: January 21, 2016, 06:42:27 PM
I'll confirm he's a retarded spammer, but I didn't know he was a scammer.  He's been on my ignore list for a while for never making any posts of substance.  It's all gibberish. OP, hope you get your $ back.
16248  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I have $100 paypal balance want to buy BTC on: January 21, 2016, 01:30:18 AM
Oh boy, I see a lot of potential scamming in this one thread alone.  Everyone be extremely careful with the paypal transactions and especially with newbies!!

How many scams have to be perpetrated before you folks wise up?
16249  Economy / Services / Re: Donate to THOUSANDS of Charities Using BTC on: January 21, 2016, 01:25:35 AM
No but the point is you are crashing a thread that is the least likely to run off with a scam. I'm willing to use any *free* trusted escrow for this if anyone wants to help out.
My man, I'm not crashing your thread and I'm actually giving you 1) bumps and 2) good advice.  How long have you been a member here?  Why should anyone trust you enough to send you money instead of the charity??
16250  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin gambling apps for android and IOS on: January 21, 2016, 01:24:06 AM
Let's see, a gambling app that supports bitcoin for android/IOS?  You'd be able to lose money wherever you are, at all hours of the day and night.  Lol, this will serve to help problem gamblers end their addictions.  Ugh.

I might check one out if I can locate one.  I'm not a big gambler and I like holding onto my bitcoin tho.
16251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What regular people think about bitcoin ? on: January 21, 2016, 01:20:17 AM
Drugs and child porn.  That's what people not familiar with bitcoin think about it, at least in my experience.  And there was some bullshit publicity about ISIS or Al Queda using it.  What most people are unaware of is how many fucking degenerate gamblers and small-time scammers are using it to fuel their dark desires.  And some people make t-shirts with bitcoin as a theme and then there are the computer geeks.  The media rarely reports the real uses.
16252  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy Hacker identity incoming - pending bounty on: January 21, 2016, 01:17:52 AM
I'm just wondering what they will do with some dead coins what they still traded but there are no nodes, no miners, no network in the outside world Smiley?
Maybe send you a paper wallet in an envelope with a stamp on it?
16253  Economy / Services / Re: Donate to THOUSANDS of Charities Using BTC on: January 21, 2016, 01:09:42 AM
Send the bitcoins to you?  I don't think so.

If there was escrow would you consider it? This is done as a favor for the charities, since people without PayPals, people who just want to send directly don't want to have to go through the trouble of donating via fiat. What makes you think I would run off with your money.. promising it to charities?
Ohhhh, people with higher rank than you, with more trust, have run off with money.  I am not directly accusing you, but this here forum is one of scammers and people who are--and should be--extremely paranoid when it comes to bitcoin.  So don't take it personally.  Offering to use an escrow is a step in the right direction.
16254  Economy / Services / Re: Need Designer for Sig campaign and 10 participants - Anti-suchmoon Campaign on: January 21, 2016, 01:02:02 AM
It sounds like you are blatantly recruiting people to do trollwork for you.  Even if that's not your intent, that's what it's going to turn out to be even if the posts are on-topic.  I have a feeling, though I don't know for sure, that mods are going to have a problem with this.

I'd be extremely interested to see what you're going to have for a signature.

I am not promoting any type of such behavior.  I have made very clear rules about being on topic.  Look at my Trust - all because they do not want to allow people freedom to speak unless they are in the correct group.
Being on-topic, yes, but you are paying people to promote what otherwise might not be their opinion.  And that opinion is going to be negative stuff--you call for that in your advertisement.  So that's the trolling part.  It's going to be an anti-suchmoon gang bang with your minions getting paid by the squirt.

How is that different than suchmoon "recruiting" members to attack other members?
I don't know, honestly.  I'm still reading about this drama and trying to figure out what transpired.  But I stand by my opinion in your case so far--not that my opinion matters, I'm a nobody here.  It's up to the mods to weigh in about this if they choose to.
16255  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Chemistry teacher defies Taliban in Pakistan university attack on: January 21, 2016, 12:55:17 AM
Leave it to the Chemistry department.  The religion department would have been cowering under their desks, pants a-pissing.
16256  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Requesting Negative Reputation be added to scammer accounts and alts on: January 21, 2016, 12:52:38 AM
you forgot to come up with an "explanation" for this?

Besides it's quoted by MicroGuy here.

You have just confirmed you're a liar and a scammer. Congratulations.
Yes did used his name does that make this alt account?
Yeah, more or less dude.  Do they not have an education system in whatever country you reside?  If they do, you should avail yourself of it immediately to fill in what's lacking.

TL;DR:  You are a dumb fuck.
16257  Economy / Services / Re: Donate to THOUSANDS of Charities Using BTC on: January 21, 2016, 12:48:05 AM
Send the bitcoins to you?  I don't think so.
16258  Other / Meta / Re: Paid to Post: is it acceptable? on: January 21, 2016, 12:45:34 AM
I came across the suchmoon/makebelieve drama just recently in that thread where makebelieve is offering people to basically be paid trolls.  I posted my opinion there that it is in fact paid trollwork and I can't see it being anything but that.  He's paying people to express an opinion that they most likely don't have.  I think he called it "diluting her bullshit" or some such phrase, but it is going to have the effect of multiple people trolling everything she posts and that is against the rules I think.
16259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency should I use to stay anonymous? on: January 21, 2016, 12:40:33 AM
Bitcoin.

There are helpfull mixing services to move coins privately. Some guy from the US is currently checking out how to move 13000 BTC and getting away with that.
This.  Plus in person cash money is always a good way to stay anonymous (at least from government eyes, and even then only most of the time).  If you need to buy something over the internet, definitely cryptocurrency.
16260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome back $410 on: January 21, 2016, 12:38:31 AM
Feels like I've posted in a zillion of these same threads.  This was a dip, welcome to the markets.  This sort of thing happens in all sorts of markets, are you new to this?  If you are, just get used to it.  I think as I write this, we're at like $420, which is where we were last week, so this isn't momentous or anything.
