16301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: November 25, 2014, 12:32:15 PM
WOW! This "Monday" missive really worth waiting for! Wonderful news and wonderful work!!
My Monero looks awesome! Now people cannot complain that there's no official easy-to-use wallet Smiley

Great job devs!

A next easy step would be to provide "read only" login, with only address and view key.

16305  Other / Politics & Society / For first time in 170 years, UK parliament to debate how their money is created on: November 20, 2014, 09:54:03 AM
It's gonna happen today and it may be interesting.
....society starts understanding for real that banks are just evil and rather useless?

determining whether it makes sound economic sense to continue to allow commercial banks the right to create most of the money circulating in the UK economy "out of thin air" when issuing interest bearing loans or mortgages to their clients

PS. Sorry if it was already posted, I didn't find it.
16306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a "Threat to investors." on: November 19, 2014, 08:05:02 PM
No problem. This is in my eyes "free advertising".
Some big fishes actually love to risk.

And yeah, show me one banker that will advise you to use BTC Cheesy
16307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not download wallets in copy/paste threads on: November 19, 2014, 08:02:21 PM
Indeed, shame that virus posts are not removed. Also, the trust of the users "providing" such wallets should suffer.

But there's good news too: now there are 3 threads advertising - more or less - the new coin  Grin
Shame I'm not really sober right now, else I would have tried a translation too.
16308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: November 18, 2014, 03:17:24 PM
Do we still control the OP?

I hope that mumbly can talk with keccak512 to take 1 minute to do this one of the days.....
16309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: November 18, 2014, 03:09:01 PM
HVC added toMultiFaucet.tk
We provide HVC Block Explorer and Faucet.
Now avaliable: faucet, search by address, rich list, daily info, network info, and more...
Join us!
[/center]

I think that this faucet should also go into the OP, as it's the only one we actually have (afaik).

16314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Paid $2.5k to Live On Bitcoin: The Brawker Experiment on: November 18, 2014, 12:57:36 PM
Did you guys read the last line of the original post?

Quote
About the Employer: Brawker is a platform that allows you to pay for everything in Bitcoin.

I think/hope that's all about paying everything with some sort of credit card that's actually bound to BTC. The "tough" part would be to do all the social media stuff.. but some are used to that and really good on that.
16315  Economy / Economics / Re: Upcoming 25 Year Great Depression...!!! on: November 18, 2014, 09:40:03 AM
More and more are preaching a collapse. It's getting scary.

Yes, this guy is trying to sell some things - most people actually just want to sell stuff - but some of his info sounds correct.

But I agree, 25 year depression sounds ... like a bad movie Smiley
Maybe they didn't hear that there's bitcoin, altcoins and other good things, much better than those bubble-ish stock markets.
His predictions are based on history, but I see that he overlooked the fact that the world "moves" today at a much faster pace than 90 years ago.
Also, history tells that usually depressions end with wars. And Putin may "help" with this much faster than 25 years.

Well... time will tell.
With or without the crash, 2015 has the chance to be one of the best years for all (the fair) crypto-currencies.
16316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The taste of nuts & honey ..in your tummy ? Toocan Sam was gay ! on: November 17, 2014, 11:00:37 AM
GAY !

I figured there would be an update and yup sure enough..
and then i see a message on the first post saying we're not getting update info here.. i guess they are too good for Bitcointalk now
although we made this cancerous aids coin what it is  Roll Eyes

then i get the piece of shit installer from the dog site which is gay i just wanted a fucking wallet link (which not posted here)
then i see it's an installer only.. marvelous gay shit for noobs  Roll Eyes
so i had to run it in a sandbox then copy it to my custom install location because i don't want dog shit installers registered on my machine thanks..

then i run the piece of shit v1.8
and well well i was oooooooooooh so surprised with the warning message..
Your blocks can't be loaded do you want to rebuild  Roll Eyes
yup.. GAY !

50 weeks behind..

and where is the change log ? no fucking clue

this is why these coins are gay bullshit.

centralized crap run by some random guy some where doing what he wants when he wants..
having a user randomly have to keep re-downloading the block chain is utterly retarded and a massive turn off to real world acceptance.

don't mind my evil FUD (experience) i had updating.. just keep blowing the dev coin cloner and such this and much this and that and what not  Roll Eyes

i may just abandon my coins.. not worth the hassle.. and future hassle !

gay.

I've seen you posting in a lot of places and I really thought you know what you are talking about.
But this post denotes a completely n00bish approach. I'm impressed. In the bad way.
However, now I know. Your mouth is bigger than your brain. Noted.

If you don't care about your coins, just donate them or keep them in an exchange.
Else, do yourself a favor and take 2 seconds to read the info, or ask it nicely.
You are an older member of this forum, so I am, again, shocked that you don't know that much that the dogecoin community resides mostly on reddit. A question there, or even here(!) would have saved you some hassle. You actually got it here, but your post was not nice (or frankly said, GAY).

You know that using the core wallet implies taking your time for sync. Bitcoin, dogecoin and maybe a few other coins have light wallets (multibit, multidoge, ..). If you don't have the patience to load the chain, use such wallets.

A late "thank you". Received the payment during the week-end.

Sorry. Been there and switched somewhere else.

Reason? I get, on your server, a lot of connection timeouts. Maybe because I am a very small miner, I don't know.
Maybe I'll check again someday...

I guess cpuminer-multi? If there is no shares and long block in network it will disconnect (IIRC 2 min.). Weird. Some pools cheating with it, I just let it happen. You will get your shares eventually. Variance come from miners, not from a pool.

Yep, cpuminer-multi. I think that the reason is related to diff. The pools where I get less disconnects work with 5k. Yours starts with 15k. Maybe the timeout shoul be related to diff, instead of fixed time.
16319  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How long to mine 1.0 BTC ? on: November 14, 2014, 10:33:14 AM
I made a VERY rough estimation and the result is over 350 years. And halving is not counted!!
