Nah, not that bad. I think a lot of what's going on in the market is related to the recent interest rate hike--at least in the US. If money gets more expensive to borrow, stock prices generally go down. I don't think what we're seeing is anywhere near as bad as the great depression. Not even 2009 was that bad.

-snip- It is correct, but I'm afraid that this is working only by now. With time there will be farm of Full, Senior accounts with negative trust and will rise red trust sig campaign plague.. Hopefully not.
No worries ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The ponzies we neg-tag today won't live long enough to see any of their advertisers turn Full Member or higher. Yeah it actually surprises me that any ponzi would advertise via a sig campaign. They're such scammy, fly-by-night organizations that advertising seems like total overkill.

Thanks , but that bittrex I registered with 2FA and everything is quite difficult, and I don't see an option to buy dogecoin with payment processors like Payza , Debit Card, etc
i think the best solution for this is you need to buy a bitcoin first and then you buy dogecoin on shapeshift on shapeshift you dont need to registered, dont need 2FA you just need a bitcoin and dogecoin address Yes, these are good methods and also, doesn't this forum have its own altcoin marketplace? You might be able to find a good price here. For speed though you should probably just use an exchange. Yobit isn't bad. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I don't believe in "buy the dip" normally, but that's exactly what I did. Hopefully it was just a dip but you never know. Sometimes bad news gets blown way out of proportion.

There are already so many threads about these same things. I could give a shit about a dev selling his bitcoin and getting out, but the Cryptsy thing pisses me off. The high level of scuntitude they've displayed and complete disregard for their customers just makes me want to scream. I did in my car on the way home, but it didn't help.
What a day for bitcoin, eh?
Christ, it sounds like they did everything they could to keep the truth from their customers, and now all is fucked.
What we need are exchanges that are actually run by businessmen and not computer geeks and such. Geeks have an important part in this, but these exchanges need people who know how to run an exchange, know what I mean? It sounds like no one put on their problem-solving hats when they found out about the trojan.
Well this kind of indicates no interest, so even if you bought up all of the coins there are probably no people who want to buy them. So you'd be wasting your money.

Ok everyone. Let's make a list of who lost what in the latest bitcoin exchange scandal. I lost nothing because im not stupid enough to leave coins sitting on an exchange. Ok.. Everyone else's turn now. GO! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Cryptsy may yet survive, who knows. As for stupid, good for you ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) - I have a few million Mazacoin on Cryptsy and a tiny fraction of a bitcoin worth of Huntercoin, Philosophercoin and some others. Nope, they're done. Who in their right fucking minds is going to use them after this??? I've never heard of those shitcoins. Can you actually use them for anything other than sitting in a wallet?

I gotta tell you, I had a hard on for most of the day with all this bitcoin action.
I don't know Mike Hearn from Adam, but so long. The Cryptsy thing is very interesting to me, as they were the second exchange I'd used and they worked very well for a while. The story about getting hacked...eh, we've heard that before and I'm skeptical. To put it nicely.
My nuts weren't sagging today. I bought bitcoin.

" it is a terrible tragedy that our community descended into the murky swamps of censorship and personal attacks."
Lol, was he ever a member of bitcointalk?
The rest of it was TL;DR. I have a very short attention span thanks to years of eating paint chips.

You are right man! I dumped all my coins at top, now I'm watching this massacre while I'm eating my extra salty popcorn. I don't think 10$ is a realistic price but I'm gonna buy when it drops to 100$ for sure.
Ahhhh, this isn't a massacre but it's definitely a significant drop. Not so sure bitcoin is going to drop to $100 anytime soon and that would be quite disheartening. Could happen, though.
I think it's around $370 as I write this, which is back up from this afternoon. It's been quite a weird day as far as bitcoin is concerned.
Is this price slump due to that Hearn guy's comments? I actually haven't read what he said in full, but it seems to be that his words carry a lot of weight.

I know I already posted in this thread, but I just bought some bitcoin using Circle, which is new to me. It actually worked out very well--the money transfer from debit card was very quick and getting the bitcoin was very easy. I think it's a good time to buy.
Lol, it looks like you spent a good deal of time in thinking about what you wrote but I think Cryptsy is, at this point, beyond saving. And the simple reason for it is that any exchange/trading firm/whatever has to have the trust of its customers. It's that simple. People have to know that if they deposit funds on the exchange or trade currencies, they're going to be able to get them out. Cryptsy has badly violated this trust and I don't think it's going to be fixable.

That would be great! Netflix is an excellent company in my opinion and this would be very good for bitcoin. Perhaps we should voice our support to Netflix's customer relations department. I may just do that.
No, we don't need to do any of that crap. He has an opinion and the right to voice it, and said opinion's effect on the price of bitcoin means fuck-all. OP you should stop trolling. It's against the rules and it makes you look stupid over the internet.
Yeah, everyone else is doing the selling for us, that's why the price is in the crapper. It takes some nuts to buy when everyone else is selling, but that's what people should be doing. In my opinion.
Wow, so many doomsday threads going on here. I say that this is just a dip--a big one, but a dip nonetheless and I believe we'll rebound soon. I could be totally wrong, we could be going to zero but I don't think so.
You're the guy who told me we'll see "Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month." That was last June. I listened to you, and now my kid had to drop out of school (she was going to Vassar) to wash toilets. Thanks for ruining our lives, asshole.
Well the toilets aren't going to clean themselves, so it might as well be your little bitches doing it. I agree, good time to buy. And I'm doing so, though I'm not going to provide blockchain proof.

Looks like it's definitely sinking, but this is bitcoin. I remember watching the price back in 2013 when it broke $1000 and then fell back to earth. That was wild. This here? This is just a fluctuation.
