1641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 01, 2023, 10:07:40 PM
the final score was 4-0 for Barcelona's victory where Lewandowksi scored 2 goals and fati and torres both scored 1 goal. From the game statistics, Barcelona appeared impressive in this match by making 12 shots and being able to dominate possession. from the host, this match was indeed quite tough for them because they were unable to provide strong enough resistance to break every attack carried out by Barcelona.

With this win, Barcelona are back comfortably at the top of the standings by collecting 71 points with a 15 point advantage over Real Madrid in 2nd place. Elche is increasingly immersed at the bottom of the standings with no strong efforts for them to get out of the relegation zone.

I get that Elche is not the best of teams but I have to give it up for Barcelona. Xavi took a lot of risk in rotating his squad but  that did not hinder them from showing their dominance in the game. Barca played better all round. This is the first game this season that Barca have played with a rotated squad in La Liga and they have not struggled. The first half looked shaky but there was no doubt that Barcelona will win the game. The second half was a whole different ball game from Barcelona.

Its good to see players that needed goals to boost their confidence getting on the scoresheet. Fati did everything well but he could not score, so I was happy when he scored because he deserved it. Same with Ferran and Lewandoski.
Barcelona are now 15 points clear till Madrid plays tomorrow
1642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 01, 2023, 06:53:51 PM
The speculations of Messi's return to Barcelona are now hitting up and it seems likely that a move can happen in the summer as Barcelona President has mentioned that the club is talking to Messi's camp and discussions taking place already. I think Barcelona is also putting in place measures to satisfy every financial fair play rules if Messi is to join eventually.

The Barcelona camp actually believe they can pull this off. It will be a good deal for them if they get Messi back but its going to be a very difficult one. The good news is, Messi actually wants to go back and he's ready to make all the sacrifices for that to happen. I read at article that said Messi is ready to adjust to the financial constraints of the club.
Signing Messi would be good for Barca but only in the short run. Right now they've made quality progress in trying to rebuild their team without Messi and learn to play without relying on a single player, if Mess comes back I think they'll be taking a step backward after taking two steps forward. Don't get me wrong, Messi is an exceptional player and nobody can do what he does on the pitch even at his age but bring him back will halt their progress because the team will now be dependent on him ones again. And since he'll always deliver, it won't be felt in the short run but in the long run they'll feel it.
To avoid that, Barca need to also pay attention on other part of their squad that need strengthen.
1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 01, 2023, 06:42:38 PM
are expected results in some games like:

Manchester City 4  -  1 Liverpool

although it was predicted that liverpool would lose in this game, conceding 4 goals even with city without haaland is something that i honestly did not expect, that liverpool could lose i even expected it, but conceding 4 goals is something sad and regrettable, this it was a very disastrous season for liverpool, I don't know what kind of measures the liverpool coach will implement so that the next season will be very different, liverpool's defense and attack has been a big disaster this season, in the attack liverpool wasted money with certain hires that are not producing good results
I was only able to watch the Man City vs Liverpool game because i was very busy afterwards and couldn't watch the other matches. Liverpool had one of the worst performances they've ever had this season and they've hard quite a lot this season. The game was too easy for Man City, they should scored more. Despite the error in defense that led to the Liverpool goal, Man City still looked more composed than Liverpool. City played Liverpool with so much ease. I refused to bet on this match because I felt it was going t be a close game but I was wrong. A part of me wanted Liverpool to win so an Arsenal win will further cement their place at the top.

Chelsea 0 - 1 Aston Villa

HT

there are still 45 minutes for the game to end, but as I have been saying, with the current coach chelsea will not be a good winning team, they are just spending a lot of money for nothing, we will see how this game will end, but so far chelsea is losing , they have hardly been able to score 2 goals, which is why I think it will be a very difficult mission for them to leave this game with a victory, the most likely will be a draw or defeat for Chelsea
The full time score is 2-0 in favor of Aston Villa. To be honest, I don't expect much from Chelsea, not under Potter at least. Their recent wins cant fool me. I was able to watch the last part of the game after both goals have been scored and I will say what i have always been saying, Chelsea don't impress me. They lack goal creators and goal scorers. This loss sends them to the second half of the table on 11th position.

1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 01, 2023, 10:21:05 AM
This club was just recently changing its coach. I see no chance for sevilla to come back again and perform like a king of europa league. I'm still all in MU rather than sevilla. I saw how strong MU is to beat all of spanish clubs in europa league easily and this gonna be another team that will be beaten by manchester united. Ten hag is now fully focusing into the winning europa league as it's already entered into the safe zone in EPL. I see nothing needs to be worried. Sevilla was just a team that may go to the relegation zone in la liga.
This will give MU more advantage as the owner will pressure the coach and players to play even better in la liga. Sevilla is targeting to be far away from the relegation zone of la liga. Sevilla is still doing transition under mendilibar.
It seems like that ten hag can use that moment as advantage for MU. Sevilla may also lose against cadiz which will be giving bigger pressure on sevilla in europa league.

I agree with this. Not the part where Man United won all Spanish teams easily though because they did not win Barcelona easily, but that's beside the point. We all know how good Sevilla can be in the Europa league but this season they're having the worst performance they ever had since I knew them. I may be wrong because unexpected things always happen in football but the percentage of Sevilla Knocking out Manchester United is 10/100.
Sevilla is at a disadvantage not only because of their poor form but also because of the good form Manchester United is in. So far none of United's main players is out injured and that's another advantage for them. In other seasons, Man United have not been very lucky when facing Spanish teams but its different this season as they have already eliminated two good Spanish teams.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 07:03:04 PM
I don't like people who throw money away like that and laugh at it. Imagine that he's Brazilian and the minimum wage in his country is some $200 a month. Some people are earning that and watching him laugh after losing a million, money they will never have in their lives. These rich guys are so spoiled it's painful to watch. Completely no respect for money. They're wiping their asses with $ bills and laughing at the rest of us.

They owe nobody no respect in this context actually. They're not lavishing government or state funds. It's their own hard earned money. Miss me with the bs of minimum wage in his country. It's his damn money. If one celebrity decides to use his money for charity or decides to use it wisely then it's his business. We have no idea what Neymer gives back to the community which I know he does a lot. when you make a lot of money, you also spend it in a lot of expensive ways.
Before the FIFA world cup final Drake placed a bet of $1million on Argentina to win the match at full time but they did not win. How is that any different from what happened to Neymer? These guys spend a lot of money on casinos, you just know about this one because he brought it out online.
1646  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: March 31, 2023, 11:50:40 AM
In times like this, both renting and acquiring a mortgage loan is a waste of money. In the past, the wiser move would have been acquiring a mortgage over renting, as you are paying off an asset....but now, during a time where we are potentially entering a long-term economic crisis, interest rates are likely to continue to sky rocket and getting a mortgage could be a one-way ticket to the demise of your wealth. Renting might be the next best option. I believe buying a mobile home outright, home sharing by rent or by group-purchasing a home are the best options in this economic climate.

It all depends on what works for you actually. I believe buying a house means you want to stay there permanently or at least for a very long time. It also still depends on the country you leave in. In some countries its very difficult for get a mortgage loan so they have to buy the house outright or pay by installment to the real estate company.  If you leave in that kind of country it would be way better to rent. In some countries people save money to build their own houses. This takes time but its better because by the time you have a family you'll have a house of your own.

So I don't see any of them as a waste of money because it a place where you'll live. Yea, Inflation makes things too difficult for people right now but you'll do what works for you. As for me I still rent but the goal is to get your my own home someday.
1647  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank loans and securities. on: March 30, 2023, 08:48:40 PM
Banks can not loan you above their security measures. I went to bank to access a loan of $2,300 and they ask me what's my securities collateral to back up my loan reguest. And I said my school certs. The bank agent said such amount required housing, land or multi investment documents not just certification. So that's mean education do not have the real value but properties does.

Financial institutions are very conical in dealings with others. They can beg to bring money for them to use it and build estates, mortgage and occupy landed properties but they will screw you before given you a loan.

If that bank gives that amount of loans to everybody that comes to them with a school certificate I bet you wouldn't have seen them to even ask for a loan because they would have closed down by now. Some banks do give non collateral loans but it depends on their policies.
The banks are there to make money, its not an NGO and most definitely not a charitable organization.
The collateral banks ask for are not things that are of value to you, they are things that are of monetary value in the market and would not lose its value easily so they can use it to recoup their money if you are unable to pay back the loan.

In some countries the government let young certificate holders access loans and use their certificates are collateral , I don't know if it's the government that gives these loans or the banks themselves but I do know that its always relatively a small sum of money.
1648  Economy / Economics / Re: #Quittok: Desire for positive work environments and greater work-life balance on: March 30, 2023, 08:20:01 PM
Would you share the moment you quit your job online for the whole would to see?
Assuming you are an employer, would you hold this against a prospective employee if you saw a video of them quiting their job and making a video for the whole world to see?

There's no point putting a video of me quitting my job online. I didn't make the decision for the would to see, I made the decision because that's what best for me. Most of these young people just want to follow the trend as they usually do, but this time around they're doing it when it comes to a major life decision.

As an employer, I would never hire somebody who puts up videos of him quitting their former job online.
Those videos sends a message to the public and that message is that "this work environment is a toxic one". That can damage the image of the firm or organization to an extent because that's like a red trust on that organization. Nobody wants to work in or do business with a toxic environment, so if this is not actually a toxic environment their reputation has been tainted.
1649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Btc get to $12k or $10k on: March 29, 2023, 08:40:58 PM
If we look at the trend of bitcoin prices then don't be surprised if the price skyrocketed or dipped, I once bought at $ 1200 then could sell at $ 8500, but I also bought at $ 54k then sold at $ 33k, don't ever think that the price will always go up, even when the market looks promising prices can fall even deeper.

We know that the dip is the best time to buy but the tricky part is you people always assume it will get lower than that. A lot of people didn't buy bitcoin when it was $16k because they were hoping or should i say waiting for it to get to $12k first. Some people are still waiting for the price of bitcoin to fall right now before they buy. I'm not saying its wrong to speculate but do so with the proper market analysis not just based on your emotions or what some random people say. This is why its always good to do a lot of research.
1650  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 29, 2023, 06:49:43 AM
This kind of announcement is not new.  I think every now and then SEC gives a warning to crypto investors especially when the cryptocurrency market is getting bullish.  Now that they have CBDC I believe SEC will be more aggressive in their propaganda to discredit the cryptocurrency industry, especially these stablecoins to kill competition and will possibly promote or suggest CBDC as a better replacement.

This was exactly came to my mind while reading the post. People should be cautious if considering any investment at all, why do they need to always target the crypto market? Just take a look at their second statement, "Investments in crypto asset securities can be exceptionally volatile and speculative". Please I would like to know a market be it stock, forex that is not speculative. Yea, we know its good advice, I see advices like this all most everyday even on this forum but when it comes from people whose aim to to cripple the crypto market then it's a subtle attack.

I believe once the preparation for CBDC is complete (study, laws, regulation. technology), SEC will launch more thorough propaganda that can defame cryptocurrency and promote CBDC.

You know them too well. Funny how they hate cryptocurrency so much but their big idea came through cryptocurrencies. Their hypocrisy stinks.
1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 28, 2023, 11:05:32 PM
I think Newcastle made the wrong choice by not signing reinforcements in the winter. I think it's a strange policy anyway. The owner is one of the richest owners of football clubs, and by far the richest in England. Then you would expect more expensive players to be attracted, wouldn't you? It is quite clear that money is not an issue at all for this club, so why not spend more? You can't buy a good team, but it builds a bit better when you have very good players in your team. Then you get a similar construction as with PSG. I think the Newcastle United supporters will love that right?

Look at it this way. You cant attract big players except you are playing the champions league or Europa at least, so instead of them buying average players in the winter, they can decide to wait till the summer when they have qualified for the European competition. Money is not everything in this sport, although money plays a very significant role. They are not a recognized club in the biggest stage of the game so they might not have a lot of pull power. When players here that teams like Madrid, Barca, Bayern are coming after them they get excited, I don't think Newcastle can have that effect on big players just yet. There's no point rushing things, building or rebuilding takes time.
1652  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the price? on: March 28, 2023, 10:57:20 PM
As for my take on the current price and the market, I still think the demand is increasing every day specially as the banking system fail and the inflation grows since people are losing their faith in the corrupt monetary system and want something that can act as a hedge against inflation.
But the problem is that at the same time we have recession in most countries that are mainly defined in the Western Bloc and in recession people liquidate their assets and are not capable of making more investments.

The combination of these two forces is creating this weird market where price shows all kinds of rising signals and yet it only goes up a little.

I agree, the failure of banks in recent weeks have really contributed to the demand of bitcoin. People now want something that they will be in control of. Its so sad that a lot of these people would leave all those coins in centralized exchanges.
The various targeted attack on the industry is also a reason that is hindering the growth of bitcoin at a relatable stable rate.
Yesterday they price of bitcoin dropped by about 1k dollars after the news that the CTFC was suing Binance broke.
1653  Economy / Economics / Re: Failing bank Silvergate and FDIC are discussing recovery plans on: March 28, 2023, 10:24:39 PM

Some say the internet never forgets. How should financial establishments like silverage and binance go about encouraging people to forget their affiliation with FTX? Could they perhaps shift industries and try to do business in other sectors where no one has heard of them?

It's not going to be an easy task and if not handled properly could lead to more losses. There's no way they can avoid this phase. Even if they start doing business with other sector (which is just a theory), there's no escaping this scrutiny. They just have continue being transparent and consistent when dealing with customers. The scrutiny is not only on Silvergate and Binance alone but a lot of centralized institutions, Its just going to be much worst on the likes of Binance. A lot of people are skeptical and do not trust these institutions anymore. The only way they can win the trust back is to just keep on being transparent.
1654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is bitcoin trading like stock trading, forex, someone in middle or neither? on: March 28, 2023, 04:23:24 PM
trading bitcoin stocks (ASICminer) is like stock trading

trading bitcoin currency is like currency trading

obvi

This is not entirely correct. Yea, they have their similarities but I believe bitcoin is more similar to stock trading than forex trading. In both stock and crypto you own the assets, the difference is, in stock trading you deal through a broker and the broker is not the owner of the asset most times and you mostly trade through an exchange. You can buy a stock without a broker or exchange but the paper work becomes too much for you while in crypto you have the asset and can trade it whenever you want, wherever you want by yourself. Forex trading is just trading currencies of foreign countries.
1655  Economy / Economics / Re: Is some certain lifestyle a waste of money and time ? on: March 28, 2023, 10:51:25 AM
If once in a while you and your friends meet up and have expensive dinners or drinks or both then that's normal but yo do it weekly is something else. Its even way worst if it's four times every week. It just doesn't make sense even if you make a lot of money that can cover the bills and not feel it. Spending so much money on alcohol and unnecessary meals four days out of seven days a week is just another level of stupid for a salary earner responsibilities. At this rate they'll be broke in no time.
People who actually have plans for the future and beneficiaries wouldn't make those kind of decisions. Avoid people like that. Know the kind of company you keep.
1656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual Betting/ Real bet on: March 27, 2023, 10:40:26 PM
I won't call it manipulation. It's just the urge to keep playing to win more when you win and the urge to win when you lose. It's normal and that's why we have to be careful when gambling. Someone made a topic about chasing losses or closure, something like that. When gambling you always believe the next time will be the next hit so you keep trying and trying till you know it you've lost more than you budgeted. It doesn't work much on sports  betting because the game takes a long amount of time before it finishes and then you place another bet, but in other form of gambling that takes just 3-5 minutes, it's easier to lose your money.  It's not manipulation.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 27, 2023, 08:06:58 PM
It was something, the whole world has already given the victory to Denmark. Losing to the 12th team in the FIFA national teams ranking with a score of 0:2 by the 72nd minute and eventually winning 3:2, this undoubtedly entered and will remain in the history of Kazakhstani football and its team as the brightest and most magnificent performance at the dawn of the third decade 21st century.

The Denmark game was a big surprise to me, not because they lost but because they lost despite going 2 nil up. I planned on placing a bet on Denmark but I got too busy and lost track of time, by the time I came the game has already started and Denmark were winning 2-0. I got so angry with myself for not playing the game only for me to check late last night and find out that Kazakhstan won 3-2. It was unbelievable. It was at that point that I realized how lucky I was for not staking on Denmark. I could never have thought that Denmark would lose that game when they were comfortably winning by the 70th minute.
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 27, 2023, 04:56:44 PM

By looking at their current condition, actually from the point gain they can still get out of that zone, but the problem is there are some obstacles of course and that cannot be separated from their performance which is still very bad even with several changes made to date.
It will be very good if they manage to secure the remaining matches because for now the best thing for them is to get out of the hell zone they are currently in.

Looking at the teams above them and tough the battle is going to be, they have to fight so hard if they want to want to avoid relegation. In La Liga this season, the teams from the 13th position below are not safe. There's only three points difference from the 13th position to the 19th. So at the end of the season we can see Getafe that is 13th on the table in the relegation zone while Almeria that is 19th now might not get relegated. Valencia can actually escape but boy, what a battle it would be
Teams I feel will be relegated are Elche, Almeria and Valladolid.
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 27, 2023, 12:51:41 PM
Well they just need to forget the fact that he's (T.Tuchel) no longer part of them and focus on getting back to winning ways and hitting that top 4 position to enable them play Champions league football next season because I don't see them getting a chance to win the UCL this season.

At this point the only way Chelsea can play in the champions league next season is by winning the competition this season.
They're 10th on the premier league table as it stands, eleven points behind the 4th position. There's no way they can make it to the champions league spot with just eleven games left to play, except the other teams sleep off which they wont because everybody is struggling for European competition next season.
Madrid looks unbeatable in the champions league but they're actually not. We know the kind of team that they are in this competition but it doesn't mean they cannot be beaten. I do not think Chelsea will knock out Madrid but it is not impossible for Chelsea to knock them out either.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 27, 2023, 12:33:58 PM
Going from Bayern to Tottenham is a step back rather than one forward. Yes he would be in the Premier League and it is all good, but there is nothing to be won with Tottenham now.

Going from Bayern to Tottenham is not a step back. He's not that big of coach to say he's too big to coach Tottenham. Coaches like Mourinho and Conte that have achieved a lot coached Tottenham so why is Nagelsmann too big for Tottenham? Bayern put a lot of faith in him when they hired him because he has never done a big team let alone be successful in one. Nagelsmann is a good coach but I cant say he's up there with the likes of Pep, Ancelotti, Mourinho. He will be a perfect fit for both Tottenham and Chelsea so if Tottenham actually want him they have to move things quickly and get him before the summer.
