Sure if you support a viable altcoin, or don't care about anything except profit, but then you belong on a different forum.
1642  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Quiet older miners? on: July 09, 2017, 09:43:36 PM
S4 can be underclocked to pretty quiet and still around 1.6TH or so. S7-LN is fairly quiet and with an undervolt mod can be made not quite S3 silent but pretty close and still see upwards of 2TH. The same mod can be done on an S7 which, with 3 boards instead of 2, is more dense and so will require higher fan speeds for the same level of cooling.
1643  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 1000 watt HP SEVER PSU link in post ... on: July 08, 2017, 02:50:26 AM
If my board doesn't work with that supply, there's either something wrong with the supply or something wrong with the board.

The HP 750W, 1200W and 1500W are Common Slot PSUs, which are in no way the same as this 800/1000W (DPS800GBA I believe). A generic board made for Common Slot PSUs won't work for the DPS800, and a DPS800 board won't work for a Common Slot PSU, but my board was made specifically to work with both.
1644  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Dualminer USB ASIC, drivers won't install on: July 07, 2017, 05:50:06 PM
Groovy. I've got some of these in my stickminers museum pile but have never actually run them so I didn't know anything about drivers, just what chip is on 'em.
1645  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Dualminer USB ASIC, drivers won't install on: July 07, 2017, 05:45:26 PM
Looks like an FTDI FT2232HL, so whichever driver is required for that chip.
1646  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 07, 2017, 04:32:33 PM
The four Terminus miners will be shipped out today. ooeygooeygold never got in touch so his bid was cancelled, which shifted the fourth pod back to xhomerx10 who paid promptly.

Seconds 2Pacs are still available. I'd like to get at least $25 from them, since they're fully functional and passed all the same tests, albeit at a bit higher core voltage (typically 1.3-1.35V versus 1.25V) which can change the efficiency a bit. $25 covers materials and labor and puts about $10 in the donation.
1647  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 06, 2017, 08:57:31 PM
Sure. PM me with your info.
1648  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 06, 2017, 02:42:39 AM
Before offering $12 apiece, consider that the material and labor costs for these are exactly the same as the ones I sell for $30 (that everyone else sells for $70) and the goal is not just to recoup the material and labor costs but also to have some left over to toss in the donor pot.

Also consider that I raised the new batch to $33 because material and labor costs have gone up.

That said, $12 apiece is the higher offer I've gotten today.

Y'all seriously underestimate what it takes to make these things, and seriously overestimate my profit margins.

Long story short - offer declined.
1649  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: July 05, 2017, 07:43:45 PM
I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume nothing's changed in the last four days.

Or, to quote myself,

No marked progress since the last update, hence no update.
1650  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 05, 2017, 07:07:49 PM
NotFuzzyWarm has paid up, quantumbit and SchOfMines are communicating. If I don't hear from ooeygooeygold within about 30 hours that fourth pod will default to xhomerx10.

Got about 40 factory-seconds 2Pacs up for grabs too, make an offer if you want some. On those I'll be pocketing material costs and everything else will go to Laura. These sticks have passed all the same tests as the regular stock sticks, but at a higher voltage - anywhere from 1.28 to 1.37V instead of 1.24-1.26V - required for stability or keeping HW errors reasonable.
1651  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 04, 2017, 12:24:46 AM
Alrighty, looks like that's how it panned out.

You four good folks, I'll need the bid total sent to 1BURGERAXHH6Yi6LRybRJK7ybEm5m5HwTr

PM me with the transaction ID and your shipping address and I'll get the pod miners out. Ideally payments should be made within 72 hours. Anything not paid up by Friday afternoon will default to the previous best bid to steal. As soon as all four are paid up I'll drop the USD value in the GoFundMe account linked to in the first, along with anything else that's come in.

Right now we're looking at just shy of $1200, which is pretty awesome thanks y'all very much.

There's still 2Pacs up for grabs as well.
1652  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 03, 2017, 11:47:33 PM
About twelve minutes left, here's the standings:

NotFuzzyWarm - 0.1
ooeygooeygold - 0.11
SchOfMines - 0.123
quantumbit - 0.124
1653  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 03, 2017, 05:22:05 PM
Are you going to stay on topic, or continue to be the most annoying person I've ever dealt with?
1654  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: July 03, 2017, 01:57:28 PM
Auction ends in 10 hours.

Also let me know if you're interested in some of the "seconds" 2Pacs available.
1655  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [AUSTRALIA- SIDEHACK] Sidehack 15gh BM1384 stick - GROUP BUY on: July 03, 2017, 12:39:17 AM
Any particular reason for closing it so quickly? Have you PMed everyone who posted interest in other threads?
1656  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cheap and simple repair of S7 hash board on: July 02, 2017, 04:24:10 PM
S5 are unregulated; since this is a repair for the regulator it can't be applied to S5.
1657  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: July 01, 2017, 04:22:09 PM
Yeah, I've been eyeballs-deep in manufacturing since around February and haven't really had much time to put into new designs. Especially since the BM1384 pod took more iterations than intended to be fully functional.
1658  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: July 01, 2017, 03:57:00 PM
No marked progress since the last update, hence no update.
1659  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC chip manufacturers. on: July 01, 2017, 03:28:28 AM
Wait, so everything in this ancient thread to call out, and that's what you focused on? Or was the quoted post just incidental?
1660  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: June 30, 2017, 07:42:50 PM
That is not accurate.
