This is really funny. You don't need to own any paycoin, just import the private key in the wallet. This private key is a number you saw on the internet, and a number cannot be patented. You can write them into the coinbase string of a block in some shitcoin and many people will have a copy of it stored.

Don't let them intimidate you, if I write my gmail password in my github repo then its my fault if people look into my emails. That's not different here.

If you don't have any coins what would your shiny new prime controller do?  How would you know if it's doing anything? How would you know if the key is even still valid?

Its the private key, so every coin which is currently on the controller will be in your possession. I would not send a coin there, probably not even XPY, cause they are $20 each you know ....

I should clarify: Although this is super hilarious, I am against causing real damage here, because it will again be the fools still following it who will suffer in the end. Burning some XPY from the big controllers would teach them a reasonable lesson. But I will surely not sync such a blockchain for this.

How could it be the private key to the wallet?  The wallet address changes and regenerates at each stake and coins are moved to new addresses within the wallets keypool often.   I don't think this gives you access to the principal on the controllers.  This is one of my questions though, does this give you access to stake or access to the wallet itself or both?

This is a good point and I would need to look into the code now to confirm or deny this. Good possible that you will only see a fraction of the wallet balance after importing the priv keys.

Isn't the key way too long to be for an address?

I don't know.  Why are you trying to discourage people from experimenting to figure it out?

I am not trying to discourage anyone.  I am also not trying to encourage anyone.

I'm simply inquiring as to what the purpose and use of these keys is.  What would happen if they were used.  What the technical implications are.  Etc. Etc.

I have no XPY and no desire to have XPY at the moment so I couldn't test it if I wanted to.

I thought you worked at the paycoin foundation

I can't afford paycoin at these $20 prices but I have staking ready. Anyone want to send me some to test?
1644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 26, 2015, 01:16:03 PM

Someone said they were public keys, someone would have used them already

They are private keys, and all 13 are valid PC privkeys.

Come on! We need somebody to step up here and use these.

I would if had any xpy but sold all my shitcoins a long time ago.

No one here has the shitcoin

dodo [3:44 AM]
just saw it on cryptsy chat a while ago, no link its gone already, but when I google industrial sabotage any attempt to derail or meddle in another's business is likely to be classified as industrial sabotage and a criminal act with definite jail time due

dodo [4:11 AM]
Thanks for the link but not seen that before , what I saw was on cryptsy I think more likely referring to the peeps attacking paycoin and now cryptsy and acting like they are the self appointed judge, jury and executioner of what they consider as right or wrong, rather silly engaging in criminal behaviour with all the authorities watching already dumb dumb dumb, more likely that a few others might make the big time hit parade before JG or BV specially if they don't have the same kind of financial and legal backing to fight industrial sabotage claims,  not my butt on the line so I think i leave and stay away

dodo [4:53 AM]
lots of folks neck deep in the shit already if you look at this, even more likely knowing that investigations are already ongoing and the eyes are already on it http://definitions.uslegal.com/s/sabotage/

1647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 26, 2015, 11:48:25 AM
Historical moments like here. Dooglus killing paycoin right in front of our eyes.

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/paycoin2/

Look at this, already 8% down as of posting, the bottom is nearing.

Just the usual nightly stake dump, I mean scrape Wink
1648  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 26, 2015, 11:42:39 AM
Possible?

primenoderate=20
primenodekey=308201...

These appear to be real PC private keys.

Using these, all wallets are now "prime controllers" and get to stake at 100%.

REALLY!?!??!

I knew they looked important but I didn't recognize the format.  I have no clue what to do with them.

Dooglus, write up a tutorial on how to use these.  You will kill paycoin, or at least the prime nodes, or force an emergency hard fork and show how inept the paycoin "developers" are.  You will be a legend.  A god amongst men.

I guess you just need to pick any pair of lines and copy them into your .conf file. I didn't try it; I don't have any paycoin and it may be illegal.

Someone said they were public keys, someone would have used them already

Hey, that's you!

Shame him!!!!

That thread just goes to show bitpop has some integrity, where as rdewilde's posts on hashtalk tend to show the opposite.

Every post Bitpop makes with my name in it has been a personal attack, you call that integrity? And because of what: i don't know the guy, never even talked to him, didn't do him any harm or take any money. I find that quite disrespectfull. I sent the guy PM trying to talk over whatever issue is on, instead he's posting some swearing ontopic, including personal info (which I requested to get removed); would you like that? Talking about integrity.... I don't know his integrity, but I know mine is fine. We may or may not agree, you may or may not support free speech. You may read this and don't give a shit, but at least we should respect eachother, right?

And yes, I removed the post within a minute because I had second thoughts about it being inappropriate and something I wouldn't like myself

He probably read this post you made https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=923897.msg10147191#msg10147191 and decided you were a shit coin shill.  He doesn't owe you any respect, respect is earned and you should refer to him as Sir Bitpop.  Good Day.

This too he forgot to delete

Let's see guys, next BTC rally how LTC will do, last time $49, next time, 100$, 150?

I have so much faith in LTC, big potential coin!

Now I'm holding and buying more (LTC and BTC)

LTC will surprise us, like bitcoin did.

LTC has been nearly 98% down from the peak, there's nigh on zero progress in adoption and development and you're still buying more?

BTC has been a grotesque investment too, but at least you can point a finger towards a vast amount of future potential.

It could well be the buy of the century. I'd still let someone else take the risk if I were you.

Yeah if btc has a rally, then just invest in Bitcoin. Litecoin is not a hedge, the lows are 100x worse and gains are weak. Shitcoin "diversification" is dumb.

Hey, that's you!
Lol.
You really lack reading comprehension. The coin was an honest effort and no scamming. I bet you are lolling because you only promote scams.

Yes it was abandoned the moment I thought people would even lose a Satoshi, I could have done a small pump and dump but that was never my goal. I left many explanations. I also bought many mined coins to help recover mining costs people incurred. My client and blockchain still work perfectly to this day unlike paycoin.

Well this has backfired

Regardless. The overall feedback has been negative. We are open to any suggestions as to what to do with the controller. The only way cryptsy was going to benefit from this situation is if some good comes out of us having the controller in the communities eyes.

We wont be taking any more controllers that are offered to us

Suggestion - have the controller you control set to 0% stake rate. No burning of coins, no creation of coins, simply 0% coins, essentially render the controller null and void except as a voting mechanism.
One controller, one vote, nothing else.

You can't just click a button and set the stake rate to 0%. They would need to create a hard fork. They could just move the coins to another wallet but that would force them to give up the imaginary voting rights that Prime Controllers now have. (funny how one day the non-profits just decided that their free Prime Controllers get the sole voting rights to "the peoples coin" and everyone went along with it)

Cryptsy, again, if you have a shred of decency/integrity, you'd burn 100% of the coins.

Oh I understand what would need to be done (ie hard fork), but since he asked for a suggestion I gave mine. Turn it into a voting mechanism only.
I've stated many times on other boards/forums that PCs do nothing to warrant the stake rate (either original or new) and that they should be reduced/eliminated.

Without staking and stealing, coinstand isn't possible and it's down to 1 Satoshi even quicker

Cocaine tea?  I wonder what that tastes like?  Josh might like a sample of that? Grin

Just to stop this 'selling cocaine in chat' allegation continuing to distract from the focus on facts, coca tea is not the same thing as cocaine hcl, the recreational illicit drug. While cocaine is produced from coca leaves the use of a small amount of leaves to make a 'tea' is, as has been pointed out already, little different in psychoactive effects from a cup of coffee.

It is possible to purchase coca tea perfectly legitimately through online vendors and I suspect that the claim a user was posting links to 'cocaine tea' in the chatbox on Cryptsy was simply to one of these commercial sites and not some 'dark web' or illegal black market.

Which would make the automatic ban somewhat of an over-reaction.

GLAD SOMEONE CAUGHT THAT Wink
