No. It's not a win or lose situation, there's no finish line to cross, the dollar has had a good run but its about to lose the lead.

Disagree totally. You can tell this only if you have facts. Tell us data which argument this conclusion. I can tell to many things for various reasons but those remain only simple words without showing facts. You din't give nothing. Have some?

Of course it will drop below USD.

There are many discussions about that in the Marty Armstrong and other threads. There is no other way around that the USD will be the safe currency and EUR will drop to 0.8.

It is be true that ECB has softened its rigidity about having as aim only the control of inflation and want to see more the development and growth of various economies, and it is true that the us dollar has gain about 25% this year but I think that it is arrived the equilibrium already. The actual rate has time in this level and, I think, it will be the last one. May be variance +/-5% but I don't think that us dollar will go higher than euro.

In America, over 50% vote that God exists - this does nothing to bring about the actual existence of God.  

People can vote all day long - they are not in a position to determine why bitcoin the currency protects the integrity of the blockchain.  Rather, they just know 'bitcoin' is the funky thing which lots of sleazy people are using in extortion, drugs, fraud, scams.  'bitcoin' is tainted.  But, it doesn't matter, the blockchain doesn't exist without bitcoin.  

Thankfully, I remember 1992 - 1996 when 90% of the Internet was traffic related to porn and nobody imagined it would go anywhere and others looked for ways to shut it down.  Gotta love religion!

I am not a specialist in this field but I think that the answer is yes and not no. Fed and IBM are trying to "clone" blockchain and bitcoin. The clone is the same thing but another being. So it will exist the same blockchain (being in the same time another) and the same product (being in the same time another). Both sex and gambling are not meant for minors.
Many people do not want to confess they are addicted to either one or both.
Both sex and gambling are best for pleasureful entertainment.

Many people are not ready to unveil their achievements or losses they faced in gambling. I do not understand why they are hiding when both are good for a new beginner to follow or to avoid. They are hiding their experience like sex life.

You are mixing two very different things and this comparison, at least, is cruel. Then a masked way to make legit (to use) and normal for everyone the gambling. Sex and gambling have nothing to do with each other. The first create life, the second destroy it. The first give only delight, the second only hurt (even when give temporary satisfaction because encourages to go further with the final result the loss of all the money), the first is made by everyone, the second only from the blinded and defrauded people.
I can do to many other comparisons which argument the not possibility to make together such things but for who want to know and understand those above are enough.

Some people claim bitcoin will give good returns to only for early adopters not to the later entries, like MLM works.
My view,
1. Bitcoin is still in early stages, so we will get big boom from it.
2. Unlike MLM you will not loose anything because of bitcoin buying. You can use it or re-sale it.
3. Satoshi has designed bitcoin like initially as a investment later as a money. So, never afraid of it's worth.
4. Bitcoin is NOT ponzi scheme, as below
Buy--> Use = No profit no lose when used as money
Buy-->Hold-->Use = Big profit,NO Lose. Profit only when used as investment.

I can agreee with your idea, but still didnt have the courage to invest some money in BTC. Probably i will regret it. Who knows...

Don't cost nothing to no one, I think, to spent a few more than 1000 us dollar to buy some bitcoins. Only to have in possession a product which, at least, have this forum with more 500 000 discussants, have an interesting story to tell about its life and for (mostly) because of the technology which has produced it. It is a disruptive technology which is adopted every day more and more by the bigs of every field where can be applied. Bitcoin is the first materialization of this technology (peer to peer) and will live, at least, exactly for this fact.

Don't agree with this sentence. Cannot be the natural evolution of something a possible threat for itself. The history of human being testify the opposite. If this shall be true the human being must be disappeared time ago from the process of the evolution which last since 2.4 billion years since the first signs of life were appeared on the earth. It was the opposite. The human being is now a wonderful creature. And having in mind the beginning (see for more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_evolutionary_history_of_life) there are no more need for other facts about the truthfully of this event.
There must be incidents during the road (as it were and are the various wars) but the end is (it was since today) positive and the continuous going forward.

Both reward halving and having fee as the source of reward for miners are in the design of bitcoin to create an equilibrium. However, if the price for bitcoin is not increased after reward halvings, the deflationary nature of bitcoin will cause miners to lose interest.

I think not if it will be offer hardware with high mining potential and reasonable prices. And it is not to forget the fact that for the most of the miners mining is a "religion" and not only an work. So they do it even if they don't earn. I have meet online such guys and I am amazed by them. But it is true.

You will not be able to use those. The value of bitcoin it will be stratospheric and unimaginable. There will not be division of bitcoins able to handle a normal everyday price of something. So the everyday bread price in bitcoin must be 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 0000000001. Bitcoin cannot be divided in such amounts.

I think that the miners cannot be rewarded by penalizing the users. The two communities must be in concordance and not in war with each other. Then what you mean with fee market? The fee we are talking about is the fee which goes to the miners. The market must be the place when bitcoin is used and not produced.

I don't think that this is a bullish news. Promoting gambling is always wrong, I think. I understand that the aim of the post is to tell that peer to peer is used for the online gambling sites but this is not new. I know that since two years ago this technology was adopted from such sites. I have no proof or link to put it here but even my news may not be true, this kind of news which promote gambling in some way, according to me, is wrong.

It's bullish dear because there are a lot of money in the gambling scene, A LOT !!

Latest poker sites were using online banks like Neteller, Skrill and such. But Bitcoin would be a killer here  Cool

The key is volume in this area, and I have to say I see a ton of BTC thrown around.

But I think that not every ton of bitcoins can be important. I cannot say that the bitcoins of Silk Road are important. The bitcoin without the moral is nothing according to me. In this case we are not in the same situation because the regulated gambling is legit but near of that, I think, yes. I'm sure that most people play to earn and lose the money of the everyday bread hoping that one time will have jackpot only trying without stopping themselves. Maybe the problem is the person itself but i see that the gambling has the power to convert to many people like the above person. And this is wrong. As for me gambling is wrong and must have very severe rules for this kind of "entertainment".

If you are talking about of every transaction this mean that this fee must be applied even when someone will send bitcoins or use bitcoins to buy something. If this is the meaning of your reasoning this fee will be the dead of bitcoin. No one will use it because of it. So, I want to send 1 bitcoin and must pay other 50 as a fee? No way. Then this kind of fees are being decreased from the beginnings times and increasing.

It is the fee for every block, and there can be thousands of transactions in each block (today it is about 1000, thus the fee per transaction will be 50/1000=0.05 bitcoin, a bit high when you are sending 1 bitcoin, but still manageable)

Bitcoin's fee is fixed per transaction regardless of transacted amounts, this greatly benefit the rich people who are doing large transactions while punish the micro transactions, this is good mechanism to reduce blockchain spam, but still not a balanced design suits human behavior: Human normally don't care about the fee less than 1%, regardless of transacted amount. From network point of view, the cost is bandwidth and CPU time, so it can only be set on size of transaction data


I know this but the tendency of this fee in time (if I'm not wrong) it is the decreasing and not the increasing as you propose. I remind that three years ago was much high than today's days. Your propose is in the the opposite. You think that your proposition have future?

I think, bitcoin at that time would be accepted widely and will also be forked to be suitable for daily needs.

I am sure that I will not be live in that year. But I am sure that bitcoin in that year will have great value and will be very precious. So I agree with you almost totally. The almost is because I have a reserve about its using for the daily needs. Cannot be a precious currency, as I think it will be bitcoin, used in everyday needs. It will not be enough bitcoin in circulation, I think, for the use of such needs.

You are in big wrong. To many people from all the other countries apply to go at United States and if they win it is a great party for those. They go there without nothing and without the needed knowledge. They want only to enter there and then make the impossible to adapted to the life of the Americans. There are intellectuals which make laborer work only to stay there and to secure a future to their children. You are there and want to move? If someone in my country will hear this will remain thunderstruck and shocked.

I don't think so. Wikipedia is a wonderful tool to learn everything about bitcoin but it is in the same time the most difficult to learn about it. There are to many things which are professional things that cannot be understand by everyone but only from the specialists of the field. Then there are to many jumps with links from one conception or explanation to another which can confuse much people who hear for the first time about bitcoin.

Imagine that in future, the transaction fee income for each block raised to 50 bitcoins, while the block reward almost decreased to zero, then every miner would become the early adopter: They can mine bitcoin exactly like early CPU miners at 50 coins per block, and if they want to accumulate coins, after 4 years they would have accumulated 50% of the total coin supply!

Technically, that scenario is not unrealistic: Given average transaction size of about 0.5 bitcoin and a transaction fee of 0.005 bitcoin (1%) is tolerable, you only need to process 10000 such transaction in each block to collect 50 bitcoins in fee, which can be filled within a 4-8 MB block, still manageable even at today's technology

This means, we can bring back the good old days of 50 bitcoins per block already in a couple of halvings!

The benefit? The miners will always redistribute the coins in bitcoin ecosystem to constantly rebalance the wealth distribution, so that centralization of wealth is prevented. At the same time, mining is a risky business, miners have to constantly striving for more efficiency to stay profitable, thus any kind of wealth concentration around miners are only temporary. They also need more incentives to keep investing in mining infrastructure

There is another even bigger benefit: This solved the biggest concern/doubt about bitcoin being a ponzi / pump and dump scheme that early adopters are riding the wave and trying to profit from the late adopters. In fact, if the block reward is 50 bitcoins or even 100 bitcoins in future, late adopters can mine more bitcoins than early adopters, thus make the whole system very long term sustainable and attractive for any participants from future
