Lizarder, it's funny sometimes what your username sounds like, and... how you got inspired to coin 'em?? Lol... Just by the way though

I know alot of peeps in here have planned on this; spreading the love to places where they're needed the most which is exactly why I encouraged everyone ( pon' the BTT Christmas celebration thread).. I guess you had a nice clue on that, though I wasn't expecting you to have conceived the sane plans too, kudos dude!
I dunno why, but I believe this dude isn't a billionaire like most of us in here -- that's to let everyone understand that if we think we truly LOVE without GIVING, it ain't worth the stress at all. Secondly, it's not about how much anyone has -- I've been running several voluntarily projects that involves alot of cash on my own expense for strange people I don't even know... I know alot of peeps have been doing same too ; I believe in the impact we make, not how much we've made.

Simple question where do I start with Bitcoins?
I honestly dunno why you got registered in here in the first place -- isn't these purpose amongst your main interest In here? When I got registered, honestly I knew a little about Bitcoin but it wasn't enough to help me out lest I got beguiled by some ponsi schemers -- that's majorly what any regular beginner would come across on the net...I'm proud to say that I've learnt alot including -- having some fringe ideas on technical matters; I wouldn't get that if I wasn't registered in here. OP, I believe you'd get whatever orientation you need in here to begin your crypto journey -- just look out for where you've got some complexities and let anyone help you out with 'em.

To be honest, I'm still a beginner here. and I want to ask if our ranking will not go up if we don't have merit?

please explain, and thank you
This has obviously explained that you haven't read through the rules and the sticky notes on each and every board-- including this one....no you haven't, if you have then you won't be asking a question like this.
Merit is very important to achieve a rank in here, AFAIK... You've been seeing alot of peeps with different merit count; that's not just fancied anyways, it's really something anyone should get if you must rank up in here. It's been happening way back; when peeps only needed few or much activity ratio to rank up, it's pretty different now as everyone new in here -- after the merit system had to pass through the same process... Earning merit is a different ball game entirely.

I won't believe that you'd bring your ass in here just to illustrate some lame point about something you won't even care to ask questions for proper understanding?? What's the point in your appraisal?? I don't even like participating in discussions like this cus it's not productive in anyway; who knows if you're not one of these usual trolls that shows up everytime? Hmm... The forum has been a victim of this malicious attack (DDOS) and AFAIK, Theymos is been trying alot on his effort to ensure SAFETY in here and that's the only way out.. you shouldn't complain if you've not got a malicious intensions as that can't be dis-engaged.

Yunno what? Everything the OP wrote is something any regular motivator would prolly advice, or say -- anyone would simply have in their reservoir, as the year begins .... As a matter of fact, no one would feel so dumb to the point of "not having any plans for the new year" - that'll prolly the most stupidest decisions to make( NOT having any plans is a CHOICE yunno?)?
I'm happy that you've decided to motivate and encourage alot that started the year without a plan; or atleast those that had different plans, but weren't sure 'bout putting out any effort to materialize it. It's inspired me, same to the rest of the thousand...

I'm happy that we've got alot of peeps beginning the year with some wonderful legacies...to improve, motivate and teach the LEARNED and the ROOKIES too( no one is above the learning process, yeah) ... It's been a while I saw something as refreshing as this on META and it's worth the time and protocols, Kudos dude!!
We all have different areas of specialization/discipline in here; alot got registered in here and -- right from time they came, they began to STRONGLY kick against any form for FRAUDULENCE$ SPAM -- those set of users grow to become users like LOVESMAY and JOLLYGOOD,(everyone does, but these guys are watching even when everyone else is tired and feels nothing is happening) pretty simple. I'd encourage the OP -- go ahead with your good works -- as long we have the same goal, which is fulfilling the PURPOSE of the forum.

I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.
I'd say NO and YES.
No -- in the sense that I dunno how much you're Worth and the way you're presenting it, it seems You've got some cash Capital and you're confused on what to take up, so you wanted to know if cryptocurrencies could pay off more than establishing a business ??
Yes -- Cus you could have much on you and still decide to have an extra investments -- in this case, you could take up the idea of investing in cryptocurrencies at ease. Don't put In your cash Capital on some lame coins that'll simply depreciate after few months -- Bitcoin should be an explicit option for a case like yours.

Sorry but I can't help laughing 😂
It's a pretty fair analysis -- and a little wild, witty appraisal to begin the year with..... quite satisfying but seems you're exaggerating too much for a start in turns -- or atleast for a new year resolution.
Why don't you just keep calm and observe the reaction of the market towards the new year? That'd really help as you'll be able to figure out whether or not to BUY... What if the market switches by tomorrow?? You see the point... HODL as much BTCs as you wish, that's cool but I'm not really a party to altcoins( be it worthless or not).

I can't imagine this change ever happening, but I'll keep suggesting it.  Smiley

I think the forum should take over signature campaigns and distribute the funds more widely to members here.  Rather than a handful of members making thousands of dollars a month on advertisements, I think it would be cool if everyone had the opportunity to make a couple dollars a week.  It would be a nightmare to implement and I'm sure people would call for removal of signatures by bad actors which would take a lot of manpower and cause drama, etc.  Not to mention there would be abuse, but I would love to see more members here getting an opportunity to snatch a piece of the pie.
Can you imagine the level of chaos that this development would cause?? Lmao.. what's gonna be the percentage differences between the ranks??  How would the members evaluate the payments schedule? Having that a casino could require limited slots?? RANKS ARE JUST NOT GONNA BE VALUED ANYMORE.... Cus anyone could just get registered and Begin to earn -- as much they make 'em post...lol.
Well, I'm not really having anything in mind  to be implemented; that doesn't mean Theymos hasn't got some plans undercovers -- I believe whatever he's implementing would give rise to the wellbeing of the forum -- as at next year, so I'll stick to that.

Actually I can't say that Barcelona are perfect now either. Because they have had serious problems in big matches as we all know very well from the ones they have played so far. Lewandowski was very ineffective as well in those matches but the team performance was also bad. It didn't change no matter in what tournament they played. I'm wondering about this the most as a result. Xavi had a very much time in the World Cup break to think of a solution for this. Because it means everything to the team.
I dunno why a player like lewandoski should be signed to FCB; the man is  aged and should be thinking of enjoying retirement right from his stay in Bayern ... How long do you think he's got to play?? That's economic waste, believe me. Plus, he's need to be given some time to adjust to the Spanish system and game play -- which is the reason he's not really performing as expected -- that while could even take a whole season. Isn't that exactly what happened in LEO's case?? When he was moved to the french league, it became almost impossible for him to score a goal until became familiarized. I won't conclude that Xavi is a flop but he thinks that most players that's made PAST legacies could still function effectively today -- that's impossible.
Quote
If they don't make progress about this then I won't be surprised even if Manchester United eliminate them in the Europa League. As a result it is still early to be sure of anything about this draw.
The progress was supposed to be planned and subscribed during the world cup break as you Said; if nothing was done, then they're finna lose woefully... No big deals

It's been over a decade and more, Arsenal hasn't got much to brag about when it comes to the premier leagues. I'm seeing a different turnout this time around as they've succeeded in winning a nice spot at the top; AFAIK, things usually turn out bad many other times when a devalued team is above the TITANS, but I can't say Arsenal is devalued at this point, with the recent mind-blowing form, No!
I'm feeling it might happen again, aside from the happenings from the past 15 years or so; the fixtures are getting tough and I guess this is where the club's intelligence is required the most...lol . Brighton isn't a huge problem for them now though ..... M.City, Chelsea and leciester remains a hard nut to crack.
Edit: I dunno but I'm just seeing it for them, but they'll need not to relax on it.

It'll rather sound like a good idea though, but it's just another means of enslaving gamblers as every transactions will be monitored; a good plan cus it's gonna curtail the rate of laundering and some other menial cheating tricks but it's the worst plan cus it's just gonna enslave everyone and ofcourse -- they've got alot of reasons to Which they conceived an idea like that in the first place -- so I think every other hidden reason could turn out to disrupt the liberal purpose of gambling... They'd even mount takes on every wagered game and that'll increase the Least STANDARD wager amount which, in turns becomes a problem. I don't think I support the motion.NO!

For me to be placing a bet it is assumed that i have understand the full insights about the risk involved, the higher the risk the higher the winning regardless of how much you stake, but it will make more meaning if you can stake with a smaller amount with higher risk and winning, if the place you a double of your winning then they already have the calculations to be 90% sure of what they are giving as offer for you, but you ain't sure about yours, this makes it high risk but on a rare occasions some gamblers prove smart and win them after taking the risk.
I think it's rather " the higher the stakes, the higher the gains -- that's if it cuts ... What's this RISK you're talking about?? I'd love some specificities on that -- cus I feel that wagering on any game is risky already, so what's the risk? I'm even seeing it more risky when you're staking high on a single game point with a good odd... E.g, wagering 1k dolls on a single 9 odd or something, It sometimes seems to be the easiest way to win on it and it's Also the riskiest....it's that simple. I feel it differs based on individual differences as another gambler would prefer a combo on that.

They managed to score a goal and it was a victory they managed to achieve. Getafe pressed from the first minute of the match, although in the first half they did not manage to change the position but in the second half they managed to create chances which they managed to convert into a goal. Getafe really didn't want to drop points in this match and kept trying to get a goal, and their struggle paid off. With the victory that Getafe won in today's match, they can improve their standings.

Gatafe is really struggling and that's pretty much clearer this season. The laliga would prolly be far from their glimpse since they've refused to improve their team performances and gameplay.
They only succeeded in pushing Sevilla and celta Vigo into the relagation and relagation zone respectively, that's appalling!! I won't believe they'll struggle just to loose at the end against GUADALAJARA,... I see alot of players that should be replaced; one amongst them is this MITROVIĆ guy....that dude isn't functioning anymore and that's what's killing them. They've got alot more of them though

It got more and more inveigling for me , especially when I knew someone that won 5 multiplayer odds... and also for the reasons that I've had a pre-knowledge about gaming; infact, that' was the reason why I refused to give in Cus I don't even know how long he played to get 'em claims as of late....lol... I won't try that though.
Imagine what happened in your case; when a single game with barely two odds ruined the whole thing for you... It's pretty hard to make predictions dude, and the worst of what you get is -- when you think you're sure of the games you wagered, but it turns out the wrong way....so disappointing!

I think there's always a reason for everything; ofcourse the site programmers won't add those options to their sites if it were gonna incure too many wins , without a loss....OR, the other way round too.
I don't see gambling as something that's done successfully because you've known alot of options that looks like an escape-way... NO, I see 'em winnings to be a LUCK.... simple! I sure hope this bet made way for you already? Or it flopped? Sorry about them.... If you're doing that for a living ( cus I know a couple of dudes over here that does that), then consistency could, perhaps be of help to yaa.

Hey y'all....
the fact that Leeds lost to Man city isn't something to argue about as we all know that leeds aren't a match to city. Look at a team like ajax, they had alot of Crazyheaded stars that helped to push the club's performances until when they were given out, some on loans and mostly on sales too. Leeds doesn't have much problem with their attackers, it's about the defenders... We all know that city won't waste any time when they get on the ball; all they do is keep their eyes open for the ball, and when it comes, they push forward for a counter , it's that simple.
Even before the game started, I knew Leeds won't survive city even for a the half-time... That's not the case here with Newcastle tomorrow. I don't think they'll lose for the second time which would automatically give Newcastle some points against arsenal.....well, let's look up for it.

If your friend would tell you hey bud I have 10k in BTC lets try to make it 65k. You play on the casino for me.
How would you play? what would be your game pattren?

Id probably do 1 game of black (20k win) then one game of roullete with 10 numbers = $65k profit.
AFAIK, Gambling has some kinda "give and take" logic. It's seems you're really confident on the options you made out which could be a reason why you won't get to win at first... sometimes, it's turns out the other way.. I'm seeing gambling as a game of Chance and experience -- experience in the sense that you've known the strength and capability of tops teams already, and you've analyzed through Thier previous performances .... from that, you could easily bet on an option (but that doesn't still make those predictions accurate anyways....it matters atimes)..... What I'm seeing is just a greedy Juvenile, who's caught up in the midst of playing mind games and hoping it comes to reality...lol

You've publicly declared that you're quitting gambling and we've read that but, we aren't in your house to fully believe that, WHY? There's one thing about addiction; it's easy to start, build and grow 'em, but it ALMOST impossible to evade it. You've lost a thousand dolls and you quit? How bout loosing a million dolls ? 1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 29, 2022, 11:30:03 PM
It all depends on how you look at it; you could be a gambler and still be responsible (as you said). Everything depends on how it done, when It's done and where it's done  (eventually, that's applicable to every case in life, but atleast it is to this one on ground). AFAIK, Very many gamblers don't gamble for profits sake; well, if the profit comes, they'll take 'em but they've got a different motive entirely.
Back to  your question.... ion gamble, apart from way back 2013 when I normally play games as a cashier.... I don't think I have the urge to just get up and Begin to wager, except maybe I'm flopped by a customer who I printed a game already but didn't get back for it.
