1641  Other / Meta / Re: If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto How do I prove it? on: February 01, 2024, 04:42:37 AM
Besides opening one of the wallets.
Aside from just saying I am like Craig Wright.
Would an original Whitepaper doc be sufficient or do you think that there would still be critics? I know there would still be critics, Im just asking what do all of you folks think?
I've been reading about the whitepaper to be issued by Satoshi, but do you think it is necessary? Besides, in my experience, a whitepaper is being issued only by a government, an organization or a company. Is Satoshi any of those? He never created Bitcoin in a company or an organisation's capacity, he created it for everyone. So those who are waiting for the whitepaper will continue to wait forever.

Quote
If Satoshi can produce such a document would it harm the value of BTC or increase said value?
If any document is produced, it can't hold any water, all that could be done so that people will believe it is truly Satoshi is to make the wallet signings and move his Bitcoin asset. Then, people will believe. Talk is cheap, action is the main thing.

Quote
I personally don't think it matters much, but I've never been the type to make a big deal of anything.  If Satoshi was to come out of the darkness and into the light what would it matter?
Well, his intention is to give everyone the freehand, which he actually did. His coming outside means nothing except for his personal recognition and a weighed contribution in Bitcoin advancements.
1642  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: February 01, 2024, 04:31:05 AM
And personally, I can't open with a casino that is not regulated, and that doesn't mean that it is because I trust them based on that. But because they deem it fit to do the right thing, and that makes them good ambassadors against the campaign for anti-money laundering. Whether it is a weak licence/regulation or not, I am not bothered, all I know is that they can be accountable too since their details would have been registered as well. This is unlike those that are not registered at all, they can just disappear into thin air untraceable. Such is happening.

That's right, regardless on how bad their regulators are, as long as they are regulated, it's always better than not regulated at all. The only beauty on non regulated casinos is when it's decentralized, but the sad reality is there are only few decentralized casinos now and they aren't as popular as regulated casinos. At the start we are campaigning that crypto should be seperate and should not be regulated, but at the end of the say crypto is still not accepted anywhere and we still rely on fiat in order to spend it on things we want, so that's where the government came in.
You are wrong, we actually have alot of decentralized gambling casino, but most are dead due to lack of activity, as most people still prefer to play on centralized casinos instead of the decentralized version, and the reason for this best known to me is that, on decentralized casinos, every single game you play will require a blockchain fee and blockchain confirmation, imagine playing slot game on a decentralized casino, you clicked the spin button 150 times, you will also have to pay for blockchain fee and wait for transaction confirmation a 150 times, this not only is a waste of money, it is also a waste of time and a good source of demotivation, and what could even make matters worst is that, if at the end of the day, spending on bets on the game, and spending on blockchain fees as well, you still did not win a dime, but rather lost money, then it's a double loss.
I am wrong or you merely disagree with me? I think you misused the phrase there, you actually disagreed with me because I am not wrong, and my points are still holding as that is my view, you can have yours. This is not about centralised and decentralised issues, it is about what people want, convenience and what they see as right and worth it. Or do you think people do not know that decentralised exchange exists and that they still prefer centralised exchange even with the possibility of cheating them? Do you think the defence of the fees you are talking about is valid, won't the depositor pay fees when depositing to centralised crypto casinos?

If at all there are additional fees while depositing, it will still be minimal as my experience with the decentralized exchanges can't be so much different with decentralised casinos when the money is being sent. This could be well planned if it is that deserving by judging by what people want as the money to be charged can't be quantified with the safety it provides against the tyranny of many centralised casinos. Yet, people prefer the centralised version for many reasons you do not want to admit. The fees can never be the core reason, you should reason this well as this can't quantify for the self-control attributes of the decentralised casino, yet people do not care about that.
1643  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Mixer? on: February 01, 2024, 04:16:47 AM
I was just wondering if there is a bitcoin mixer that is considered reliable and safe to use? Is there a mixer that is the goto of most of the members here on the forum? Thanks.
We are done with such services on this forum and I think you should think twice as well since our reasons are obvious. I also suspect this question as bate which is why I advise people on this forum to be careful in answering them to avoid infractions of the admin. However, if you have genuine intentions, I think you can still use the services of Monero and Bitcoin together to achieve your goal. That's even better and safer if your money is clean.

If you can creatively use those services together, believe me, your privacy is still intact.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Onchain Update on: February 01, 2024, 04:05:06 AM
Since January 23, there has been a significant and sudden withdrawal of ETH from the exchange, resulting in an 800K ETH reduction in the on-exchange balance. This corresponds to approximately $1.76 billion at the average price of $2200.

Wintermute has also been actively accumulating ETH from the Binance exchange over the past 9 hours, with a total volume of $20.1 million. Wintermute appears to be bullish on ETH, especially considering recent updates related to the manipulation of the $PENDLE price.
Manipulation of PENDLE price, how? Are you telling me that because the market of PENDLE refuses to fall like other coins and tokens, it is being manipulated? I think you should rethink about that. You might also want to say that TRON which didn't fall much during the major bearish season when cryptocurrencies were falling is being manipulated as well? In my many years of trading and investment, I do not see what PENDLE is displaying as manipulation, I see it as a better market than others. When other cryptocurrencies were falling, and even as they are still falling now, the market only fell a little, which gives it is characteristics of a good market that is dependable.

In contrast to your claim, the market that is being manipulated will rise and fall sharply, and by this, the manipulators would have already made their money. But the case of PENDLE is just different, people who are buying it are HODLing their money in it and that is what is sustaining the market. If there are dumps, it will certainly fall, but people prefer to pump it the more, and this is reliability I see and not manipulation. I only hope I knew it would be like this, I would have owned this coin which I see as the best-performing token now.

As for Ethereum, it is normal, the cryptocurrency market has been greeted with a bearish trend after the Bitcoin ETF approval. The circumstances surrounding the ETF saga were too lousy and people bought Ethereum so much. You can't expect the asset that has been pumped for over 5 months not to have a tangible correction thereafter. This is what we see now, so it is perfectly normal.
1645  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: February 01, 2024, 03:51:51 AM
@EarnOnVictor. Are you implying that they do not care about the market? Hehehe because I very much disagree with you. How much tokens they dump will depend on how strong the market is. If they have much more tokens to dump, they cannot simply sell everything and make everyone their exit liquidity. This would make markets weaker and this would also kill some markets with very low liquidity.

However, if you are correct and they really do not care, I reckon they should hehehe.
Let me say that time will judge on this, and I insist that most of these companies do not care, they are only doing business with cryptocurrency and they will tell you emphatically if you are privileged to meet them that they are businessmen. I do not disagree with them or have any odd feelings about that, after all, we all have reason to own our coins and we have the right to dump them at any time we desire, with whatever reason that could have caused that.

But HODLing for that decades' sustainability will never happen. The handwriting and desperation are clear for FTX but it's fine if you have not seen it yet. I see it already and they are only waiting for the right time to dump big time. Of course, if you are the one and know that the market is still promising in the future due to halving, won't you wait? This is what they are doing now, but in less than 2 years, you will see how they will dump big time. This is partly for obvious reasons, but still, they will find a way to buy at lows again and the game continues.

1646  Other / Off-topic / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 31, 2024, 04:40:27 PM
We need to take risks to win something, not only in gambling but in every aspect of our lives and the higher the risk ratio the higher the gain if the result is achieved successfully. To give an example specific to gambling, let's imagine that a popular football team competes with a lower league team in any event or cup match. In this case, since the winning rate of the popular and strong football team will be quite high, the winning rate of someone who bets with this option will also be low but the probability of winning for someone who bets by choosing the lower league team will be higher because the risk will be higher. In the shortest way possible, I can give an example of "the more bread, the more meatballs".
Yes, it is true that if we want to win something, we have to take risks to get it. We also need to realize that the higher the risk, the more likely we can win something, but that does not guarantee that we can get it because, in gambling, there is no certainty after playing gambling. In the example you gave, the popular soccer team will only sometimes be able to win if the underdog soccer team has something that can turn the direction of the match so that they can win the match. This has often happened to many teams, so we must understand that a match will have a surprise factor. If we want to avoid higher risks in gambling, we don't need to place bets with a lot of money and only use enough money so that if we lose, we won't lose quite a lot.
Risk is good as it is what can help you make more, for instance, today, I was unable to risk much and I gained so little despite being sure of the decisions I wanted to take. Had it been I took that risk, I would have gained about 9 times of what I made, but I never had the mind. So, the risk is good and no one can tell me otherwise, only that we should take only the reasonable risk so that it will not be an issue for us over time. The best is to keep the right account management when we are afraid, this also helps, because most times, even if the risk is worth it and we are so afraid due to one reason or the other, we can rely on the right management. With this, after all, we might lose, but it will not let us lose too much to the extent that it will affect our psychology.

But it is not as easy as we think too and I wouldn't blame those who are not able to risk high due to fear and too much conservativeness. The reason is that some people have risked high and lost high as well, to the extent that it badly affected them. But some people have not risked at all and they remain in their situation without any tangible achievement, unlike those who are risk-takers that eventually make it big. This makes the situation uneven as it is not always the same with everybody. In all, we should have that mind of risk, I think it's best if we want to move higher, but such risk that we take must be reasonable and must have been premeditated, and calculative at the same time, not that we will just be taking the risk senselessly and without proper account management in consideration as many do but will come back to regret and even blame other people at times.

However, about the underdog example, I dare not, unless I am sure of the underdog. Just like what Girona is doing in Laliga this season, I can bet on them for good.
1647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Drop to Zero? on: January 31, 2024, 04:04:37 PM
Former deputy governor, BOE believes Bitcoin can drop to zero. I wonder what his opinion is at the moment.

"Their price can vary quite considerably and they could theoretically or practically drop to zero." Jon Cunliffe saiid.

And what's the different between theoritical and practical drop to zero for BTC?

Can the price theoritically drop to zero but practically trade above $40k. Kinda confusing.

bitcoin falls to zero, then the world is in a state of apocalypse, currently it is impossible for bitcoin to be worth zero because bitcoin is already owned by millions of people around the world and has been traded in commodity form in many countries so those who think bitcoin will fall to zero are quite idiot.

never mind falling to zero, even bitcoin falling to $1000 is impossible at the moment, logically when bitcoin's value goes down further there are many speculators who will buy bitcoin and pump the price again, btc will remain at tens of thousands of dollars (lowest).
You are in line with my view, we must have been in the state of an apocalypse for Bitcoin to move to zero($0), and this is certainly not possible. What I've noticed is that any asset that has been appreciated as much as Bitcoin has been appreciated can never move to zero ($0) anymore and the reasons are many. But first, we must know that a terrible thing must have happened to the Bitcoin market for it to happen like that, especially if all the government of the world turned their backs on the coin and started clamping down on all Bitcoin users, domains, apps, exchanges and all that. This is not feasible really but if it happens, the price of Bitcoin will terribly fall, yet, it will have a limit to the falling.

One and the most important reason that Bitcoin will not reach zero ($0) even if terrible things happen to it is that it is not everybody who will be able to sell their coins anymore. Some might be willing but will not have anybody to sell it to as no one will be willing to buy at that time. While some had died and still had their coins active. Some have a whole lot of the coin but their access passes have been lost. While some will not just be willing to sell the coin with the belief that it will rise again. So it will never get back to zero ($0) even with the worst situation.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Gambling Practices Most People Ignore and Sleep on on: January 31, 2024, 01:08:04 PM
These are good gambling considerations and factors, they are all that must have been known by many, but for those who are coming newly into the gambling industry or are facing one or two challenges therein, they can learn from them even as some of them might not be necessary for responsible gambling but an optional way of gambling lifestyle.

As a gambler, you must be very careful so that you are not being pushed by it, if not, you will be addicted and continue to waste money with nothing to show for it. Another thing that we must ensure is that we learn to fully gain an understanding of what we want from gambling. Gambling with the mind of money making is getting a whole lot of people in trouble, while those who even see it as a means to have fun often are being affected if done too much. That is why we should have our limits, and that is possible through our decisive plans which will entail the budgets we have per day, per week and so on so that we will know the amount of money to use for those activities, and when we waste money, we will call it quit instead of pushing it further and continue losing money.

Many gamblers would want to gain back their lost money and thereby revenge their trades, but this will not stop anything but will only make them lose more. The same thing goes for the greedy gamblers, they will not know the time to quit but will want more, and this often gets them into trouble instead. However, with budgetary limits and plans, one will be able to put an end to that. This includes the management in the OP, once such can be properly calculated, I am sure that it will work as planned, though it also depends on whether the gambler will be able to be truthful to all these or not. This is where the discipline in gambling comes in, we all have to be determined to be disciplined to further help ourselves.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The scam of FAKE fixed matches on: January 31, 2024, 12:18:17 PM
A lot is happening on the internet these days, and as we all know, the most targeted places are Google, X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and others. To make matters worse, it is often as if they had paid the owners of these social media platforms to keep silent about this, if not, I do not know how they are being emboldened like that. Had it been it wasn't so and if the social medial has their investigative units that are up and doing in this regard, it will not be long before they will know and pull them down.

What is the work of bots and other automatic reportage mechanisms and censors? So, I think that they can't be totally exonerated from this. Also, people should endeavour to report such cases as fast as possible to the appropriate channel. I believe that by doing this, it will also be an affront for the social media platform not to take them down immedtaley.

Above all, we should all be careful on the internet these days, what we see is not actually how it looks, let's beware.
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Confusion About Insider Gambling on: January 31, 2024, 12:02:44 PM
Could someone please clarify the concept of insider gambling for me? I came across this term on this website, and it's a bit confusing. According to the information I found

Quote
In football, insider trading could involve a player, coach, or other official using confidential information, such as team news, injuries, or other details about the match, to place bets on the outcome of the game. This could potentially give them an unfair advantage and compromise the integrity of the game.

Aren't team news, injuries, and other match details usually openly available on the internet and through sports bookies for gamblers to use when placing bets?. Also, do these officials typically place their bets through sports bookies or among themselves?
The truth is that you shouldn't have bothered yourself about this, it is certainly not possible and there is nothing like insider betting involving the team. Fine, players, officials and anyone can place a bet but it must not be known as it is illegal for them to bet. Be it players, their agents, the staff, coach, assistant coach, directors and many more that are directly involved with the team we are talking about are not allowed by the FIFA law to play. So, the way they use the team news, injuries, confidential information and others in this regard can only happen in the dreams of those who are propagating it.

Except if they play through their family and friends or other proxies that will not directly be linked to them. Even at that, there is nothing like insider gambling with some hidden and peculiar facts. In games, all news is open, be it injuries, plays, lectures, sanctions, speculations, feats, players and many more are all public information that anyone can use at their own discretion to come up with a conclusion on what the possible outcome of a game can be.
1651  Other / Off-topic / Re: Before you start gambling, do some research first on: January 31, 2024, 11:44:08 AM
It needs to have self-questioned whether gambling can be a joy to do or not, because there are risks to handle if things go wrong.

Indees a self-evaluation does the magic for people who want to consider gambling as a thing for themselves. Whether it be to make money or to have fun, it has to be seen as a thing to indulge in or not else it will come with dire consequences.

That you have people around you , maybe family and friends gambling doesn't guarantee you success in it
I believe that when we want to do anything, even if it is not gambling, many things are supposed to be put into consideration to have the knowledge about that thing and to ascertain if it is fitting for us or if we will just be wasting our time trying or doing it. Gambling is a very good example, it is wrong the way many are approaching gambling and this is the reason why they think that gambling is that bad. Imagine someone through his uncle started gambling, this is just because he saw his uncle gambling, should that justify it? He may not even ask the uncle what he is gambling for, why is he gambling and what are the bad and good sides of gambling. But will just dabble into it and will begin to cry foul later, it doesn't work like that. If such had been smart enough to first inquire about it, this would still not have automatically stopped him but would only educate him on the good and bad sides of gambling, especially how to be careful when gambling.

It is now left for the person to decide whether to proceed or not as gambling is not so convenient for every personality. We have to be sure that we can cope before doing it. By this, the person must have successfully evaluated himself to know what to face and even how to face it better. And on doing it, if it is not what he can cope with, he will easily know as he is cautious about gambling and can quit or continue to try his luck instead of being addicted.
1652  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: January 31, 2024, 11:17:32 AM
Casinos need to build trust more than having a license, and for that they need time and be nice with the customers.

They needed to have the two and this must not be something that one will be made more of being priority over the other, we the trust is there, the license will endorse for the trust to be real and genuine, also, we can get more about them on their online reviews also to add to other informations we have received, trust and license is what will make the complement if it all together and we must not forget the risk also involved.
Yes licence proved a casilo site as a real. many casino site are coming regularly on the casino market so which site you can trust? because every new site offer high bonus and many facilities so if that new casino is take a licence for there site and show the proof then we can interested and enjoy the bonus without any worrying and we can use that site confidencely. so licence is needed for a casino site to proved them as a trusted site and proved they are coming here for real business

If a gambling casino fulfilled all the requirements for taking the grant for license and they were approved doesn't mean we are completely safe by them, the whole thing is just like someone who wouldn't mind loosing something to achieve another thing, so therefore, we must only take the risk we can afford to bear while gambling and research properly about any crypto online gambling platforms.
You are on point, we do not trust casinos based on how many licences they acquire or the country they are operating from, we trust them based on personal and people's reviews and experiences with them. Fine, the licencing and regulation are good, it is a way to make them accountable if they are truly registered and regulated, but still, they are not the main thing as the duly registered casinos could still cheat you and nothing will happen. This is even as a casino that is not even registered may choose not to cheat you, so what? But no matter what you tell some people they will still believe that it is the licencing that is their point of attraction to casinos, so it is a good thing for casinos to seek such so that it will be one of their main points of marketing, and as you can see all the time, it works.

1653  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 31, 2024, 10:28:27 AM

That is true, and it's the risk of submitting a KYC documents to verify your account. However, it's not new as even banks and other financial institutions requires you to follow the KYC protocol. Hacking is possible, but it's less likely to happen if the site you are trusting has a strong security, so to ensure that they have, check  on their reputation and their popularity, if they have both what are you looking for, then trust them, but never think it's guaranteed that your account and documents are safe, or hack-free.

The gambler who want to have the smooth withdrawal after the win need to do the Kyc for the withdrawal. The crypto currency based exchanges itself ask the traders to do the Kyc for the withdrawal. So the gamblers should do not consider it as an Oxford things, they need to do the kyc at the time of the registration of the gambling site. The gamblers mostly not like to share their kyc because of worry about the safety of their kyc.But the trusted gambling site never use to do that kyc for making money, only less bankroll gambling site will do the sale of the users kyc to the social network for making some dollars using the kyc data.

You know, I honestly don't understand from other gamblers why Kyc is such a big deal to them. Which, for me, is not really the problem. Because often, what becomes a problem is what they think is not good.

They say things about their privacy but don't have an investigation. It turns out they are the ones who committed a violation against the rules in casino gambling here in the cryptocurrency gambling space.
I share in your view my friend, and it is for the sanity of the world that KYC is being required. Even if it is not immediately needed by the company, but later, if something happens and an investigation needs the data of some particular customers, the company/casino will be able to furnish it. If this is not to vindicate the customer, they will at least be cleared by law that they follow due process. As easy as it is, KYC is good and has helped so well in this world, it has stopped some evil-doers to rethink their plans and has limited a lot of scammers from achieving their goals. If there is no sin in the world, will trust ourselves. But I tell you that it is not all families you will see people trusting each other not talking about the people you do not know but still want to work with. Also, it is a good means to limit money laundering, it helps the anti-money laundering crusade to be more effective than if there were no KYC at all. These are a few reasons among the many reasons why people are being asked for KYC and I believe every patriot should be willing to do it.

I now wonder why some people would not want to do the KYC, and if you asked them, you would hear that they want to stay private. Private from what? As a human being living in a country, you can only stay private as a private citizen which is a mere word, and it is not a must that you gamble or do business. But if you must do that, you should know that the government and at least the company you are dealing with have the right to know enough about you. This is actually not by force, one can choose to avoid all that if that is good for them. But I think living in the forest is better for such a person to encourage more privacy as there is no privacy anywhere. Even our telecommunication companies know everything about us, so the privacy argument is always baseless and overrated. The worst is that if too much privacy is given, the world will be unsafer, that's the truth.
1654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: January 31, 2024, 10:07:02 AM

A lot of people have been clamoring about how gambling has ruined their life but same gambling has set some people up for life, just like every other form of investment there must always be a profit or a loss.  And life is so balanced that what works for Mr A might not be the same that works for Mr B. Likewise in gambling,  while some are crying about their loss they are some who are smiling and celebrating their win.
Gambling has been seen as a very dangerous thing base on some people's point of view here in the forum whereas in reality it has given some people the capital to start what ever business they want to do. My point in this post is that we shouldn’t just paint gambling all black because some people have fail to stick to the discipline of gambling.
I believe that before one make a decision in life, they should've already weighed the consequences of making the right or wrong choice, then put their fate on luck coupled with their little knowledge concerning what they're about to decide on, so why complain and play the blame game when things go wrong? "Share your thought on how gambling has come through for you if you got any".
This is why the government ensures that you reach a certain age before you gamble and do some other adult things. This is for you to make an informed decision at that age, not the one that they make for you, and if someone could decide to gamble as an adult, that is his decision and not another person's decision, so why blame another person or try to shift the blame? As an adult, you should know your right from your left and wrong from right, and if you make any decision, you should be ready to face the consequences thereafter either good or bad. Gambling has been there for ages and once you are not being forced, you should not cry foul. You do not have the right to blame a friend, family, your country's situation and not even the house, because you should have known what you are signing for as a result before you do so.

I often laugh when I see a lot on the internet when it is an emotional discussion about gambling, that is not necessary. I do say that emotion is a weakness, gambling could severely affect your life if care is not taken, so as an adult, you do not just dabble into a thing simple because your friend introduced it to you or you just found out they are doing it one way or another. You have to first research about it, then you learn it if you so desire to participate. And through learning, you should be able to know the good and the bad side of it, and after all these you still proceed in it, then you and only you are to be blamed.
1655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: January 31, 2024, 09:46:47 AM
-snip-
What do you think?
Although there is more to solving the addiction problem in gambling, both approaches are good, and in my experience, people, especially parents and family members have used either of the approaches or both and worked, but not in all cases still. Gambling addiction is a powerful addiction since it has to do with money, and that is why it is good we do not position our minds on the money when we start gambling, this will impact a very bad root in our psychology if the care is not taken, and to uproot such will be so difficult. I think that either of the approaches should be used on the person one after the other, and I must say that I have seen that they worked for some people and failed in others. Now, if the two had been used but failed, I think that the next thing is to make sure that you solve the issue from the source.

It might be financial needs that are causing that, so the person must first be settled in that regard before the issue can be resolved, he needs financial freedom. We all need purpose in life and the more there are other means that give the gambler money and also take his time and attention away from it, then it is near time that he will be healthy again and be delivered of the menace. Just continue to advise him after securing a job for him and I know that it will go a long way to help him as this approach has helped many.
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: January 31, 2024, 09:30:49 AM
I can't say exactly what this project will look like. But its name seems to have some problem. Looking at its name, it looks like a meme coin. It is not possible to say whether it is right to invest. But I say don't be in a hurry and take a look and then invest. It may be a scam project and you may lose all your money.
I think it will be better for us now not to invest in Meme Coins. Because investing in Meme Coins most of the times we get scams so if we can stay away from these projects it will be better for us. Don't Invest in Meme Coins.  If you find a good altcoin and invest, the chances of losing money will be very low.
This advice of being careful is applicable to all coins and not meme coins anymore, but truly, that meme coin is just for the jokes of it with no good projects related to it. That is what lazy developers will like the more, we should not fall for it, it is not worth it. Really, all cryptocurrencies are just being made in the name of things, and not that they have that kind of true value as many would say if we think better. It is the money they inject into them and how people value them that is causing them to be valuable, nothing else. For this, meme or not, it is because they call it that name, projects are projects, and now, it depends on the developers, the marketing and the community that supports it, that make a good project.

However, these days, it is good that we are more careful though, meme coins might have lived their time as we can sense that through the way Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are slowly moving. But in another thought, some meme coins moved outstandingly last year, so it is not easy to generally give advice on this, nonetheless, let's just be careful and watchful, and be wary of the new meme projects. Even scammers can be lurking around it too to steal our money. It's no news, scammers are everyone's crypto too, and we should entirely be careful because of this.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between new tokens and old tokens, which would you invest into? on: January 31, 2024, 09:02:11 AM
The bull market is approaching and after that, the altcoin season will start as it has done in other bullish time for the market. Everyone has to be planning for what they'll buying in preparation for the bull run therefore I have a question for everyone. What altcoins will you be buying in preparation for the altcoin season if you only have limited option to choose between investing in old tokens, projects that were launched before or during last bull market or tokens that were launched between last year, this year and the next year. Let assume you only have $1000 and you can put this money in 1-5 projects but they all have to be either old tokens or new tokens that you'll be buying. Which one will you go for, for those that will think they can choose the two type of projects, that won't be possible. I'm trying to see where the attention of investors go when selecting tokens to invest into for the altcoin season.
My advice to you is to distribute your money in many coins and tokens, do not let the belief of old or new ones cloud your judgement. Mind you, no one can say emphatically that the old or new would perform better, it is all about following our instincts, and the project quality and letting luck play its role. You can see this in the last mini-bull run that happened across the market board, some old projects moved well while others didn't, and the same thing goes for the new projects, so we have to be smart and be more diversifying than believing in any coin's age. And for the mini-bull run's hint, the smart investor must have known the coins and tokens that people are appreciating the more.

They are all on your crypto chart, just go and take a glimpse of them to know the ones that performed better in the last mini-bull run that happened in the second half of 2023. If I were you, I would consider some factors in selecting these coins. First, I will make sure that I invest in at least 10 coins/tokens, and I will invest in them depending on the class of crypto asset they are. It could be for the Scalability, AI, Web 3, Game and other sectors. What I will do is find the most popular ones in that category, it could be one or two in that category. I will now relate them to how best they performed in the recent mini-bull run of last year. I think this is good enough for anyone to select 10 coins/tokens that will be spectacular in the next bull run.
1658  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: January 31, 2024, 08:03:32 AM
I can talk only about myself. I don`t understand what is gambling addiction. I read about it, but to understand i have to feel it. And around me i see the same - no one gambling addict. That`s why i think that it is impossible. But we see news about gambling addicts, it means that it is possible. That`s why we are talking about it. May be i`m rude, but i think that it is only their problem - gambling addicts and their family. They must solve this problem themselves, without help of community. We can only give advice. It is awful to read about such situations but they have to solve it themselves - first of all because they have to understand that it is a problem.
Those people who are going through this problem, because they need a lot of support, from what I have read, when they find themselves in that situation, the person whose self-esteem is low, they usually think of pure play and doing things so that they can establish themselves so that They have a better way to play, they look for or devise a way to get money to play in the casino, all the time they think that if they had had more money they would have won big, and all those things get into a person's head. addicted, therefore I can say that it is delicate, and for me something very delicate.

The treatment is sometimes not so simple, it depends a lot on the type of person, their personality, how they experience the problems, how they react to them, not everyone has the same reaction to problems and stress, some people. It gives them heart attacks, because they don't know how to handle themselves and that's how to channel it, it's difficult, and you have to treat it with great care and delicacy.
I understand and don`t understand it the same time. I know that it is possible and can`t understand how it is possible.
But i think that it is true that their is self-esteem is low. And they need to begin doing something themselves - they can get their family support and i think that it must be enough for start. I don`t want to spend any resources(time, money, food - doesn`t matter) for someone, who just lose it. I can help when he show that he is ready to struggle, not else.
I managed to understand you and I think you are right at the same time. For those who are struggling with gambling-related issues and addictions, one can provide help for them but we should define the kind of help we provide so that it will not be as if we are encouraging them to gamble more even as they are not with their senses. This is especially true if we are not sensitive. Imagine, trying to help a gambling addict and you are providing the person with extra cash just because he tells you a story and you felt for him through pit. That is not a solution, you are only encouraging him because who knows what he would do with your money? I am sure that most of that money will end up in his gambling account too which makes it not a wise decision.

One may help them monetarily as a friend, but the same must ensure that they channel the money into what they need it for, and not on gambling. But the most important thing is to walk the person through on how to gamble responsibly, that's i the person still wants to continue. But to some, it is all about healing their mental state entirely away from gambling, which will be more important at first as they stay away from gambling at that time. But if they would want to gamble again, fine. That later time might now be with their better sense of maturity and awareness of the bad side of gambling, not the way they engaged the risky activity before. If at all, all that family and friends tried to do in this regard didn't work, an external help is advised here, which could include prayer if the case is severe.
1659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To any Bitcoin holder who lost their seed: How did you lose it? on: January 31, 2024, 07:40:08 AM
Haven't personally lost any of my backups as well. But after being in the cryptocurrency space for 8+ years, the most common are:

  • Lost the seed because they wrote it down, then forgot where they stored it.
  • Got the backup leaked because they stored the backup on their email/txtfile/spreadsheet/chatlogs/etc and their device got hacked(hence the leak)
I've got mine typed on a Notes app in a phone that I rarely use, it's been my go to way of storing seed phrase and other important information that I need to store in case I need it, it's efficient but the problem is the obsoletion of the device which I haven't yet found a way to solve efficiently, I haven't changed the device for about 6 years already but I feel like the thing that I need to do is manual transfer.
I don't use it but I am curious about what you posted. By Notes app, do you mean a third-party app? Especially those who are not from trusted companies? Bro, I think this is more risky, you can't trust all these third-party apps to store your seed phrase. Those who still stored it better than you on their gadgets are still being advised to keep it manually which is offline and it is deemed to be the safest approach in this regard. If at all, use the means provided by your gadget directly, not as you did. You never can tell what could happen and I hope you are not a subject of monitoring, the people who you are using their app may be desperate and that might be one of the reasons why some are even building such apps. They could have their backdoors whether you are giving permission or not. I am not that tech-savvy guy but going by the little I've read in this regard, it shows that it is not the smartest thing to do. This is also the reason why I do not import my seed phase anywhere even if the wallet advises me to do so.
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bullish 2024 ! on: January 31, 2024, 07:21:15 AM
Currently many new projects with large funding raised are listed and it can be said that they are big projects because after listing some of them entered the top 50 of CMC. examples include APTOS ARBITRUM and SUI.
I mean, does the emergence of many new projects like this indicate that bullish is getting closer? What do you think ?
The same thing that has happened in the crypto world regarding this will continue to happen and I advise you that you follow the advice we've been sharing here even before now for they are common, nothing less. Whether a new project gains that success or not it doesn't say of the subsequent ones, they can succeed or fail depending on many factors. It mostly depends on the brains behind it, the community they could build and the liquidity of those who started at the same time among other factors. Some projects are not just well created and planned, they could fail, while some are not just lucky even if it is a good project, so we have to be very careful.

Like me, I like to take the backseat in a situation like this, I let people test it before I commit my money, and that's after I've seen the stability and my chart agrees to it also. However, there are some good projects that one should know that could work, and a good example is ORDI, we all know how it started and the modality on what they built it upon. This kind of project will be fast to gain popularity and relevance, unlike the projects that are just similar to others that have been done over and over again by copycats. A unique project will surely be appreciated, especially when a blockchain that has only a coin is now scaling better to allow more tokens to be built through it. If that is getting popular when they are scaling it and the first token was eventually created through that blockchain. Such often gain attention as we saw in BONK and the like of them.
